The Cisco OneX Converter Module offers investment protection for 10 Gigabit Ethernet X2 ports of Cisco switches by enabling migration from X2 to Small Form-Factor Pluggable Plus form factor without having to upgrade the switches or modules. The OneX Converter Module converts a 10 Gigabit Ethernet X2 port into a 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ port. With the OneX Converter Module, customers have the flexibility to use the 10 Gigabit X2 interface port of a switch with X2 modules or SFP+ modules. This flexibility is critical when the specific type of interface is not available in one or the other form factor or when customers want to use the same form factor for interfaces across multiple platforms deployed in their network. Please note: networking components such as switches, routers, UPS and wireless devices require that speeds & standards be consistent throughout the network to gain optimum performance.
The MFELX1 is an easy-to-install Mini-GBIC (SFP) transceiver module that provides a simple way to add 100 Base-LX functionality to your Linksys switch. The module operates at a wavelength of 1310 nanometer and supports single-mode fiber optic cabling. In a typical operating environment, it can achieve distances up to 10 km depending on the total attenuation in the fiber plant. 100 Base-LX is mainly used in metro area networks (MAN) or in large campus networks needing 100 Mbps connectivity between sites. The MFELX1 can be used with wide variety Linksys switches to create solutions that meet the needs for a broad range of customers.
One of the most complicated parts of setting up a network system (router, switch, hub, or access server) is the selection of the serial cables to connect the network system to the serial devices in your network. This cable is used in the Cisco routers with ISDN Basic Rate Interface (S/T interface).
