Best vacuum eve
I have had this vaccume for 3 years and I am only now thinkong about replacing as it smells like dog when I use it. Totally my fault. I am attempting to clean the hose and I bet that sorts the issue. No loss of suction. The thing about this is every part is replacable. detachable. It does every single thing. Stairs are simple. I will never own another brand of vaccume. This is the best buy I made in the last 5 years.

Strong suction, outperforms another well-known brand, hands-down.
Prior to buying this I had a Dyson, which basically picked up dirt and dust and very neatly deposited it a couple of feet away – not the most endearing characteristic for what’s supposed to be a top-level product. I used my Dyson to ‘clean’ the house over the weekend and then took delivery of the Shark on the Monday. The photo above shows how much dust the Shark had collected after 20 seconds’ use on a rug – which left me wondering what the other one had been doing to justify it’s space in my cleaning cupboard. The Shark has such strong suction I’m going to have to be careful not to use it when I’m within six feet of the cat. If you’re not sure whether to choose a Dyson or a Shark, I’d say there’s no contest!
Amazing!!
Finally took the plunge and bought a Shark vacuum after wanting one for a while and I wasn’t disappointed! Opted for the corded pet and anti hair wrap version after reading reviews and how much more powerful it is than the battery. It arrived on time, was easy to put together and in no time I was vacuuming away! The picture is of the first clean of just one room, just to say I had only vacuumed the night before with my old pal Henry Hoover and I was shocked and at the same time impressed with how much it collected!! The cord length I found absolutely fine, and the suction is awesome it made my carpets look new and left those sexy little lines in which I love! I would say it’s slightly on the heavy side but then I had a Henry before who just used to follow me around with his little eyes watching so if you’re used to an upright it probably wouldn’t be any different. The attachments are standard and do the job, I love the way the vacuum can come apart so is easy to carry and made things like the stairs a breeze to do! Emptying is so easy, one click of a button and boom it’s done! One teeny thing is it’s difficult to manoeuvre around tight corners but I think I’ll get used to that the more I use it. Overall I think it’s brilliant! I did buy on a fantastic deal so was a great price, would I feel the same having paid full price? Yes I think I would but who doesn’t love a bargain!!
Only thought our carpets were clean!
We bought this having used a G-Tech pet hoover for the last 4 years, and I wish I had bought this sooner. We regularly hoover our stairs and hall, and I thought they were clean. I was shocked by how much this picked up when I used it for the first time. It really did a great job of lifting long hair from the carpet that I didn’t even know was there.
The anti hair wrap feature worked perfectly. As mentioned, the hoover lifted a lot of long hair from the carpet and had no hair build up on the roller once I finished.
The switch allowing a quick change between hard floors and carpets is a great feature. The 8m cord is also great for stairs and halls.

This shark hoover does a very good job of removing pet hair from the carpet, so much better than our last vacuum cleaner, it will need to be assembled when you first get it, but this is very easy to do, suction is good and it’s much quieter than our previous vacuum, just a few minor issues it feels slightly heavy, the dust canister is not very big so needs emptying more often and the ball clip thingy that holds the hose to the wand pops out quite often which can be annoying, but other than that it’s a great vacuum cleaner, and at the time of purchase it was on a Amazon special offer, so great value for money.
There’s nothing I can’t do with this vacuum, I can’t believe how good it is! I used to have one these design handheld and light vacuums, and it was a complete loss of money: not powerful, and hair was stuck in the brush all the time!!
This vacuum is very sturdy, a bit heavy but you need this if you want a solid and powerful vacuum that you can keep for the next few years. It’s very easy to use and to clean, the choice of accessories is amazing and they are all very useful, the cord length is quite long, and the suction is the best, my carpet has never been that clean! And it doesn’t take much space I think. So if you want a vacuum that actually works, lasts and is easy to use, get a Shark!

My trusted Vax has given me almost 20 years of service , but it was starting to fall apart and seems to not be picking up the cat hair anymore,which was everywhere.
The Shark was on offer ,so I bought it. cat hair gone.
So far so good . Getting used to it .

I think after having used this hoover for three months ,It has to be one of the best hovers I have ever used and owned.
A few wee things that it does not get 5 stars , Top heavy , container to small, are two I can think of . I have learnt to work with it, The container I empty after every use and the top heavy part ,I have found a way of working around that too. On the whole this hoover is amazing. Well worth the money

I’ve gone through a few vacuums and I have to say this is the best. It’s light, easy to steer and has great suction. Its also great for pet hair. Definitely worth the buy.

My previous 4 hoovers have been Dysons. A friend suggested Shark. So, I went for it.
My goodness! If it was possible to be in love with a hoover Actually,okay, I admit it, I am a little in love with this hoover. Considering that I had hoovered only two days before, this hoover was full of hair in no time at all. I have one cat. The Dyson obviously hadn’t been doing it’s job.

Best Upright Vacuum by a long way
We are onto our 2nd Shark upright vacuum (only needed replacing as our original broke when it was knocked off the top of the stairs) and I wouldn’t hesitate in getting another. We have 3 boys, 2 dogs and 2 cats so we test the living daylights out of our vacuums. We have tried all the usual big names before; Miele, Dysons, Henrys etc, and this one is the clear winner for us. It’s really light compared to others with comparible performance. The ability to remove the tank and almost use like a handheld is great for cleaning sofas, cars, stairs etc. Suction power is crazy strong, which would be to it’s detriment if it didn’t have a release slider on the top of the handle to adjust it as it’ll stick itself to the floor and be really difficult to use otherwise. Can only assume other reviews saying this is a negative haven’t found the slider. Customer service with Shark is also very impressive too as I had an issue with the button to turnthe floor bar on and off and they just kept sending me parts with no issue until problem was sorted. Highly recommend.

Best vacuum cleaner in years
We’ve been using another brand for a few years and when it broke on us we decided to switch to Shark. Our only regret is that we didn’t switch sooner.
This vacuum cleaner is awesome.
So far we’ve had no issues with tangled hairs around the rollers or clogging of any kind.
The fact that you can take the main unit off and carry it around has made vacuuming the stairs an easy chore. We even decided to buy the car detailing kit which put this vacuum cleaner on a whole new level.
Definitely the best vacuum cleaners out there and I highly recommend.
Our second shark, the best type of cleaner we have had
I’ll start this one with the negative.. we bought this to replace our previous Shark that burned out after just 5 years. That’s a few years less than we’d have liked.
On the positive though. It’s the best cleaner we’ve ever had.
This one came a day after ordering and was very neatly packed. I was pleased to see that all packaging was cardboard or brown paper.. very nice indeed Shark! Even the accessories.
Once it was unpacked it was very easy indeed to put together.
Following that I gave the house a good clean. Once again it’s a brilliant cleaner. It gets up so much pet hair and grime. We have two cats and a small dog and it is does a brilliant job, filling up the dust tray every time.

Bought to replace our old Dyson that recently stopped working. Wasn’t looking for this brand but corded Dyson seem hard to find. So far we’re pleased with this Shark and would happily recommend. It’s easy to manoeuvre, has very strong suction ( which you can dial down), and a handy light to see in corners and crevices. The head is less wide than our old model, meaning it fits into places we previously couldn’t readily reach. Seems effective on hard floors too. After first trying it on the kitchen floor, I swept with a soft broom and didn’t find anything that had been missed.
What can I say......just look at the photo!
I had vacuumed the previous day with our Dyson DC06. Always been impressed with it, even more so, considering the fact it’s battery powered.
But then my Shark arrived!
This photo is of what was collected in my living room alone. And while a lot of it is carpet fibres, there is also a huge amount of dust……and either way, clearly shows how superior the Shark’s suction and brush system are!
My Wife couldn’t believe it!
I look forward to getting around the rest of the house now!
Ps. Yes it is a lot heavier and not as manoeuvrable as the cordless Dyson……but comparing them would be like comparing a sports car, to an SUV. They do different jobs and need to be different sizes.

We have some long pile carpets and we have struggled to find a vacuum cleaner that is easy to use on such carpets. Most do a good job on floor and short pile carpets. This one seems to do everything and is easy to manoeuvre. light weight and with the detachable unit works well on stairs. A great purchase.

Very well built. Operating slightly different to standard cleaners but simple when you get used to it. I like the detachable cylinder it makes cleaning awkward areas easier. It’s harder to push than my old Dyson but I find if set for long pile it’s easier especially if you go with the pile and not against it. My carpet looks brighter – must have been hiding a lot of dust! All in all very pleased with it.

I’ve previously bought cordless vacuums Bosch and Vax. They haven’t did the job I needed. I live alone so there is not a lot of traffic on my rugs but they were never looking how I would like them.
I received this vacuum today and can’t believe I could get so excited about the results. I read a review once when the lady said she emptied the cylinder 3 times on her first shot. I actually filled the cylinder once and I only cleaned 2 large rugs and a hall carpet.
I will say it is heavy to carry upstairs so wouldn’t suit an elderly person (although I’m actually in My sixties myself).

Versatile very good performance, rotary brush bearing susceptible to damage
The cleaner deep cleans carpets. The stair attachment is excellent. Suction is good but ceases altogether if the yellow rotary brush jams. The bearings on the rotary brush are not accessible and are vulnerable to damage/seizure when used in very gritty places reducing suction to zero. A friend returned her Shark vacuum cleaner when she was unable to release the seized rotary brush after using the normal floor cleaner on a very dirty area.
Good vacuum
It has good suction power but larger things can get stuck. So we have indoor bunnies and the hay gets stuck, takes a while to get it out. The cord is only 8m which I feel is a little short, my other vacuum is 10m which is much better. Anyway, this one is good, has headlights, good suction, easy to steer, can feel slightly heavy until you get used to it. It’s a good vacuum, not great for indoor rabbits though.

I actually came on to buy a Dyson like my partner but saw the reviews for this and thought “why not”. I love my Henry and vacuumed before using the Shark to see how effective and I had to empty it twice!

I never one for writing a review on items even when they are good or bad but this vacuum is amazing! I have had previous big brands vacuums and they haven’t come close to this the power and suction is amazing it effortlessly glides along the carpets and floors but the suction is fabulous looking at the carpet it doesn’t look dirty but the shark finds it and i don’t have the issue of cleaning hair from it which is amazing. I was sceptical after reading reviews saying it was heavy as my wrists are weak but it’s not at all its just your typical weight of any other big name brands I have had and i have no issues at all. Overall fabulous and I have been telling everyone about it. Definitely worth the money!

Quite heavy
The machine has brilliant suction and is adaptable being able to reach high with the right tools and stairs with the lift off capability , however it is too heavy for me and I find the manoeuvrability awkward ! I Ihave health issues and have a lady cleaner who recommended Shark but even she says it’s much heavier than her own older model .
Shark pet hair upright hoove
I have always used Shark hoovers, but never had one to tackle pet hair. Since getting 2 long haired kittens and my current hoover finally wearing out, I bought this one.
It’s the best buy ever. Excellent, Excellent ,Excellent. Couldn’t believe how much cat hair and fluff it picked up off the rugs. Also Excellent on my wooden flooring.
If you Intend getting a new hoover and have pets , get this one.
Best Hoover I’ve had
The suction on the upright Shark far exceeds more old Dyson (which was a cylinder model).
Other reviews comment that the Shark is heavy, I think it is lighter than the Dyson, I gave weak wrists but don’t find it a problem to carry upstairs.
It comes apart & goes back easily for using just the tank & hose the clean the stairs.
My carpets look so much cleaner, I wish I’d of purchased it earlier!

Works well, good suction lifts all the dust/muck. However, having had cordless for several years I find it so heavy and difficult to move about, I realise it is me who has weakened using my cordless ones and my age, I will keep though as it is really efficient. I just hope I get used to it. Fortunately I live in a bungalow although to do stairs seems rather easier.

I have dogs and have not had any trouble with pet hair. It picks that up without difficulty. It comes with a brushing tool, a bayonet and a pet-cleaning tool. The last is fantastic for the stairs. It is corded, so no loss of power and need for re-charging. While not being cordless might be seen as a disadvantage, the “lift away” more than makes up for this and makes cleaning the stairs easy. I am impressed with how adaptable this machine is. It comes apart nicely to allow for different lengths of wands etc. I do think that all the annoying things that happen have been thought about and put into the design to make is easier. I get the impression it is built to last, but in our current commercial climate of not building things to last and compromising on quality for cheapness, I will not hold my breath. I would recommend.

I had This in my watchlist for quite some time. I finally took the plunge and got a really good deal on this product. I must say it is the best vacuum I think I’ve ever used. After working in hotels for over 20 years and seeing how powerful their commercial machines are, this is every bit as good as one of those without the price tag. After just one vacuum the dust coming out was horrible. After my carpets looked brand new, the pile was fluffy and it just felt fresher. I saw the reviews about the anti hair wrap technology and how hair still gathers around the rollers. It does do that but you’re probably only talking a few strands instead of half a head of hair like I used to find before!! it’s new so I’ve probably not had it long enough to encounter much wrong, but I’m very pleased with it so far. Would thoroughly recommend this product. Another win is that all of their packaging (including what’s inside the box) is recyclable.

First time I used it found hair wrapped around roller which I cut off. Spoke to customer services who advised to run it back and forth on hard surface a few times in future which shifts any hair. Now end cleaning cycle on the hard kitchen floor, no more problems. Very powerful suction, really pleased with this purchase.

First time I used it found hair wrapped around roller which I cut off. Spoke to customer services who advised to run it back and forth on hard surface a few times in future which shifts any hair. Now end cleaning cycle on the hard kitchen floor, no more problems. Very powerful suction, really pleased with this purchase.
Best vacuum eve
I had This in my watchlist for quite some time. I finally took the plunge and got a really good deal on this product. I must say it is the best vacuum I think I’ve ever used. After working in hotels for over 20 years and seeing how powerful their commercial machines are, this is every bit as good as one of those without the price tag. After just one vacuum the dust coming out was horrible. After my carpets looked brand new, the pile was fluffy and it just felt fresher. I saw the reviews about the anti hair wrap technology and how hair still gathers around the rollers. It does do that but you’re probably only talking a few strands instead of half a head of hair like I used to find before!! it’s new so I’ve probably not had it long enough to encounter much wrong, but I’m very pleased with it so far. Would thoroughly recommend this product. Another win is that all of their packaging (including what’s inside the box) is recyclable.

This is my third vacuum in fours years so certainly had my fingers crossed for this one. My previous vacuum was a Vax Pet but the roller broke, despite cleaning it after each use.
The first thing that ticked my box for the Shark was it’s ability to be free from hair tangle on the roller. This has so far proved to be an absolute winner.
All the buttons are clearly labelled and it’s a doddle to switch from hard floor to carpet. The ‘headlights’ are actually more useful than I’d thought. The bin compartment isn’t too bad, I usually only have to empty it twice for a three bedroomed house, upstairs and down.
The ability to vacuum the downstairs carpet is exceptional on pet hair (6 cats and 1 dog). The carpet is spotless and on hard floors everything is sucked up completely.
The stairs proved no issue. The cord length is reasonable and I have plug sockets just in the right place. It’s not particularly heavy or cumbersome in use.
The vacuum manoeuvres very well and is gentle on the wrist and back.
If I was to be critical I’d say that I wished manufactures would ditch ‘glossy’ plastic that is highly static and turns the product into a dust magnetic. Your new vacuum won’t look sparkly and new for long.
Overall, excellent buy. This one gives me the confidence of longevity.

This is a great product!! Very lightweight and easy to use and clean as well! I actually enjoy hoovering now and doesn’t feel like a chore. I love the accessibility button at the top of the handle which makes changing from hard floors to carpets super easy and it collects a lot of dust and has been perfect getting rid of all the pet hair as well. Highly recommend

Honestly this is the best vacuum I’ve ever had/used! First time I brought it I had to empty it twice after doing the whole house (small 2 bed). I had a cordless dyson previously and clearly this whole time I’ve never really vacuumed properly, I am amazed (and slightly disgusted at my house!) couldn’t recommend it enough. Suction power is great, I have 2 cats and a dog whose hair gets absolutely everywhere and drives me mad and since having this vacuum I have no issue with the dog hair. It’s a bit heavy but worth it for the auction and I do have thick pile carpets, but the lift away feature is a lift saver for your back! Also amazing for sucking up the dust and cobwebs
brilliant strong vacuum
This vacuum is really strong. I was really surprised at how much dust we sucked out of the carpet. Its on the heavy side but I don’t mind too much seeing as it is so effective. The steps are easy to get to because the body comes loose from the vacuum and can be carried up. Unfortunately it doesn’t come with a smaller rolling foot that would work for the steps. This is a part that needs to be bought additionally, but having said that I managed to vacuum the steps with the upholstery fitting. This is not a long term solution as it may eventually damage the upholstery fitting’s felt. All in all a very happy purchase.
A versatile vacuum
This shark has revolutionised hoovering for us. Yes we are middle aged lol. All the power of a corded unit but the ability to detach and walk up the stairs without trailing a hose, or get into the car to hoover the back seats or boot. Honestly if you’re on the fence, or think maybe it’s just a gimmick. Buy the shark. Better than a Dyson or anything else.
Very powerful cleane
I liked the suction on this cleaner and it’s easy to empty, however as an older person with Arthritis I found it very heavy to manoeuvre around.

I bought this cleaner to replace a Dyson Animal, which, despite regular filter cleaning and replacement just wasn’t hacking it. To be honest, I’ve become rather disillusioned with Dyson cleaners of late… expensive and heavy.
The Shark is a delight. Others have commented that the cleaner is flimsy, but in my experience everything fits together nicely and easily. It’s very light too – perhaps this is what people mistake for flimsiness?
The Shark navigates the nooks and crannies of a room with ease, and the LED lights help to get right into dark corners.
So, how does it clean? Our house has three dogs and three cats, so the loading from pet hair and dander is significant. I ran the Shark over a carpet that had been recently cleaned by the Dyson and was left with a swath of what looked like brand new carpet. Amazing.
Any downsides? Just one – the collection bin is rather small and fills quickly, necessitating frequent trips to empty it, but to be honest it’s a small price to pay for clean carpets again.

I was looking for a hoover last year and opted for one of the cheaper cordless ones from amazon. Although this seemed to do the job, I still used my old hoover for a deeper clean (suction wise) and the cordless only lasted a year before performance really dropped. Everyone said to get a Shark but I didn’t have that amount to spend. I looked through the various ones available read all the reviews and thought it would be worth the extra expense as it also comes with a good warranty with parts available with it being a well known brand.
I wasn’t disappointed. Its a good size moves easily around, the anti hair wrap is quite impressive and it’s easy to assemble and use, literally a few clicks, I didn’t even need to read instructions.
For suction power its great 3 easy to adjust settings and easy to use extra tools.
The amount of dust etc it picked up on the first use demonstrated how useless my old hoovers were!
My carpets looked fluffed up.
The only thing I will say is it is abit on the heavy side the lift away option is useful, it hasn’t put me off fully recommending.
Just be mindful if you can’t lift and want something extra light this probably is the right model.

Best hoover i have ever bought, i have used Dyson, Vax, GTech and others, most lose suction, hair gets wrapped in the brushbar, hard to clean out, batteries run out quickly. This is wired but its a long cable ran from my front door to back door easy. Easy to clean, and switch from normal upright to liftaway mode. Really powerful suction wouldn’t hoover the main road it would take the tarmac up haha. Only downside if i am being picky is its on the heavier side but feels quality made and you certainly get what u paid for. Honestly, dont look at any others this is what you’re after! Well done Shark!
A little bit heavy but doing an amazing job!
I am really happy with this vacuum cleaner. I used Dyson before -an old model- and wanted to buy a new one but they are all very pricey. So ended buying this one and I am really happy. It only downside is that it is a bit heavy as you are carrying the whole machine with one hand when you r vacuuming, but I suppose I will get used to not putting too much effort in vacuuming as there is no need . Great suction, super easy to use ! I definitely recommend it !

This is ultimately the best vacuum I’ve ever purchased. It collected so much dust, rubbish, cat hair without any hesitation. When I emptied the case I couldn’t believe how much it picked up from just doing our living room. The suction power is excellent for both the carpet and hard floors. It has 2 settings for this but also you can adjust the suction power too which is ideal if your doing rugs or mats etc. The hose is long and does grip to the back – however this doesn’t always stay in place and keeps popping out. The cord is long so you really aren’t stretching – if anything I only untie what I need. You can also use the vacuum in lift away mode to do the stairs, sofas or cobwebs. This is easy to separate.
So downfalls – not many to be honest. The thing I will say it is heavy but manageable. I’ve got used to it and it glides well on both flooring especially carpet.
Overall, a brilliant vacuum and would recommend to anybody thinking about it. It is costly but it does a fantastic job and its worth the money. I bought mine in the Black Friday deals and haven’t regretted it once.

Very good product - but why oh why can Shark not manage to produce a hose clip that does its job?!
Good suction and great tool for stairs BUT hose clip on this model still doesn’t work despite being redesigned since I bought my earlier model. Such a simple thing – but so annoying on an expensive machine when it keeps falling out. Also it would be great to be able to attach tools to the main unit for use whilst moving round the house.
