Brilliant carpet cieane
Spilt red wine on a cream carpet & it had been there quite a while until I bought this machine & all the stains disappeared like majic. Easy to set up & use. Wouldn’t be without it now. Thanks Bissell.
Great quality cleane
This is perfect for cleaning those spills and any dirty spots on your carpets. I use this on the areas that get a lot of wear too, great for the stairs.
Simple design and easy to use. Basically fill one side with water and detergent/cleaner, flick the switch, and work away. An area may take several “sweeps” to fully dry, but not a major issue. Amazing what dirt comes out of carpets, rugs, etc. Ideal if you have a puppy, rugs & still in the process of trying to house break. Overall a good quality product at a reasonable price. Recommended.

I only have one carpet in my bedroom and unfortunately it was ruined by my poor elderly dog. Although this is only a spot cleaner I easily did most of the carpet.

My carpet cleaner is brilliant, really cleans the dirt from carpet and sofa cushions. I have a small living room and managed whole of carpet on 3 refills, brought the carpet up wonderfully. I have 3 dogs who I walk on long moorland tracks so lots of muddy fur and feet. I can see this appliance will keep me sane!! Easy to store under the stairs with my hoover and great quality. Chuffed to bits!!
Solid and efficie
Shocked to see how much dirt it managed to clean out of a couch that was regularly vacuumed. Very good and easy to recommend for those that are willing to take cleaning into their own hands.
I had a full size bissell a few years ago, gave it away when we moved abroad, when I came back purchased the other brand but didn’t like as much, when we moved house recently we didn’t have room to store that one so got rid of it and then got this, we have hard flooring downstairs, with carpets on stairs and in bedrooms. This is a perfect size for what we need, have used to clean door mat, muddy paw prints off the sofa and other animal mess off the carpet you wouldn’t even know anything happened! Unlike just using a stain remover which I find just leaves a crusty mess, this is perfect, easy to put together and use.
I find the same issue of getting the tanks fully emptied with the shoulders on the tanks when upside down the water collates there so doesn’t leave the reservoir completely, so the design of that could be improved but I can’t fault the products cleaning ability and the size it’s easy to store in a cupboard, love it earned its keep already!
I have only used once to clean a dirty sofa (pets) it worked really well and the difference was huge.
I definitely recommend because this is a great device that will safe you money.

It’s very simple to use. Instructions on how to use the cleaning solutions could be better. Got good results on the areas I cleaned. Doesn’t suck back a lot of the cleaner so you need a nice warm day to get it dried quicker.
I tried to use this for the first time the other day. Nice and easy set up, quick. I soon figured out the spray wasn’t working properly so I had to Google how to fix it. It took me about 45 minutes to get the spray to work by youtubing how to do it. Working absolutely fine now, and cleaned up my carpet really nicely. Still very happy with my purchase. Would give 5 stats had I not needed to take part the attachment to unclog the spray mechanism
Really useful and works well.
This spot cleaner is just what I need with two dogs, one of which is 15 years old and becoming incontinent. The cleaner works well, leaving the carpet clean and fresh and all the dirty water is sucked up into a separate tank which can be emptied. The carpet then dries very quickly. It is compact and can fit into a cupboard. I am very pleased with it and would recommend it.
I bought light grey sofas not bearing in mind that we have a 2 year old & a dog. They were filthy from food spills & mucky paws.
I honestly can’t believe the results from this little cleaner. It’s transformed my sofas back to their original state. Next on my list is our living room rug! Highly recommend

I find the containers not the best to empty or clean, never seem to fully dry, but I’m sure I’ll figure something out!

Cleaner quality feels substantial enough for the price. Instruction book has to be interpreted from pictures rather than words, so takes a bit more guessing than should be necessary – but it is all there if you persevere. Have used only once, but am delighted with the results. Took someone else’s tip of spraying the area I want to clean first – machine has to be on to do this – then leaving to soak for 5 mins. Rug came up very nice after cleaning. I have weak wrists, so found pushing the head against the rug a bit tiring, so had to put my other hand on top of the head to push down strongly enough.
Other than that I’m really pleased with this purchase.
Definitely would recommend this product for individuals who have light coloured upholstery.
I stupidly decided to have a cream sofa with two cats and a kitchen under renovation. We have had a lot of dust being tracked through from the kitchen by people and the cats. Over time I began to notice the sofas, looking off colour and it began getting on my nerves. After a lot of research, I came across the Bissell spot wash and decided to purchase which looking back now I’m glad i did.
The product was easy to set up on the instructions are easy to follow. After four hours of cleaning my sofas are starting to look back to the original colour and I couldn’t believe the colour of the water when tipping it out.
The only down fall is the position of the water spray switch, found i was unintentionally pressing it causing the sofa to become more wet and having to go over place.
So to start with things I don’t like about this unit, the instructions that come with it are utterly useless and I was unable to find a proper manual on the web site. However, after talking to their very efficient customer service team, they emailed me a pdf manual which is very good. Maybe I just missed it on the web site, but I don’t think so. The brush attachment doesn’t click firmly on to the hose, although in use, it doesn’t fall off, so doesn’t cause an issue. Finally on the negatives, the marks on the tank for filling are cryptic. The markings ‘formula + 29.5ml boost’, bearing in mind the boost bottle cap is in fluid oz, are unhelpful to say the least. For ‘small areas’ the markings don’t even include boost. So to make this easy for anyone reading this, always use the large area side as you will quickly use the small area quantity. Fill to the water line with hot water, add 29.5ml = 1 fluid oz of boost and then top up to the line with formula (spot clean or whatever).
Now on to the good bits. This is a tough bit of kit and feels very solid. The water and waste tanks clip in firmly. For best results, spray some cleaner on the area to clean and leave it for 5 mins. You need the power switch on to do this and then squeeze the trigger. (Ignore the instructions which are wrong). When you are ready to vacuum, spray a bit more on, then press down hard with the brush, scrub the stain and watch the dirty liquid being sucked out of the carpet. Suction on this machine is very good indeed. If you press firmly, the carpet will be virtually dry when you have finished. Watch the nozzle to see when water stops being sucked out.
So far, I have removed a rust stain and water mark from a carpet and made my car mats look like new again. I’m going to do my stairs soon, but this will definitely be hard work as the unit is better on small areas. Overall, very good though and recommended. The unit comes with a small spot and stain ‘formula’ bottle and a larger bottle of boost, which isn’t clear in the description.
Leaves items wet not damp
Likes the way it removed stains but left things very wet. Do not know what the heat part is about its not for drying. I got mine through warehouse and it came with no cleaning solution sohave yet to try this.
This machine has topped my Dyson v15.
Pros: handy to whip out immediately after a spill or scribble.
As you can tell my 2yro is fond of bright orange pens. Got it if my carpet and also of my cushions like a dream.
Leaves carpet soft and nice smell.
Great at drying, you have complete control over the amount of cleaning product is dispensed and found a great hack where you put the machine over the freshly treated area and the heat from the machine accelerates the drying. Used rug dr and vax machines, this one is the best. Got mine for 90 on offer worth every penny!
Cons: this model gives you a sample amount for carpet shampoo but a huge amount for the icy boost. I suppose marketing to get you to buy more.
You need to clean the hose and waste compartment thoroughly after use promptly or it becomes very smelly to use the next time. I added some essential oil to my mixture and it Hines a really nice smell.
At the end of the day it’s a manual cleaning job, it dries as many times you go over the wet spot, the more pressure I used to hoover the wet part the more drying. Can be tough on wrists if using for large areas to get the same level of drying.
Allergies- detergent played up with my sinuses
What I needed was a lightweight, portable spot cleaner – what I got was a lightweight portable spot cleaner!
If I wanted to clean a whole rug, I wouldn’t use this, I have a Rug Doctor for the larger jobs.
Being a small machine, the suction as others have said isn’t fantastic, but used right it doesn’t leave the area soaking wet.
The machine works by spraying solution onto the area you want to clean, a small area at a time, and the brushes work to clean the stain and suck up the dirty water.
It doesn’t heat the water, you just need to fill it with lukewarm tap water, hot water isn’t a good idea for stains, even if you are cleaning by hand.
The cable is a very good length, and the hose is just the right length, any longer and your machine wouldn’t be very portable or easy to store.
I mainly purchased this for home use, and also AirBnBs’ that I clean, guests have a tendency to spill all sorts and so I needed something that was easy to carry and did a much better job than trying to clean the stains by hand – for this reason it’s perfect. I used it today on a drink spill that was a few days old and it did the job admirably. Having said that I also used Prochem spot and stain as the stain i cleaned this morning had dried in.
So why only 4 stars?
The floor tool is far too small in my opinion. For example, I wouldn’t consider using it on my stairs and certainly not on a whole sofa. It would be too much hard work. So I have ordered a 6 inch floor tool, which I hope will make stair cleaning a viable prospect.
However, the 6” floor tool is almost 20 and I feel this should be an accessory that comes with the machine.
It comes with instructions that are a little hard to decipher as they are only pictorial, but after 5 minutes of head scratching, the machine was ready to use.
I can’t yet comment on the longevity of the machine but I will update if it fails me.
It works
For such a small machine, it’s cleaning power is incredibly effective. Would recommend to anyone. It comes with a sample of cleaning solution but would recommend buying a full bottle along with it because you’ll be immediately excited to try it on everything fabric covered area of your home. The photo in my review is midway through cleaning a desk chair that had seen better days since several years of remote working.

Bought this to clean the multiple stains on our sofa and fabric chairs, but also for the odd spillage on our carpets and rugs (2 young children so lots of mess!) It is amazing – everything I have used it on has come out looking brand new. The colour of the water coming out of it suggests this was a much needed purchase for us! Love i

Super easy to assemble and clean.
Comes with two bottles of cleaning fluid that smell lovely!
Got a lot of dirt out of car seats that didn’t look grubby to start with. Very happy! Picture is from a quick clean of two car seats.
Only issue was that bristles looked a but scrambled before using, but otherwise, cracking bit of kit.
Will be updating this review, the more I use it.

We have been looking at carpet / spot cleaners to use in the house and car for a while. We have a dog and kids so the carpet has been collecting a variety of marks including some we can’t remember the origin of. We decided to go for one of these as opposed to a general carpet cleaner so we could target the problem areas easily. Our main reservations regarding this machine were the reviews regarding leaks. The first thing we did was to test it for leaks and ours was ok.
We first used it on a warm day and it was about 22 degrees in the house. The product did well and we were shocked at how little fluid we needed from the “clean” tank despite tackling dry stains. We used it on a carpet and were able to suck the majority of the liquid back up. The carpet of course was damp when finished but was dry to the touch after a few hours. It did a really good job on the stains (we cleaned half our lounge and the hall with the “large area” fill) but will probably fill to the “small area” line next time as really we find the large area fill is too much for one person in one go.
After cleaning the machine, my partner removed both tanks and lifted it up to the sink, the hose fell on the floor and we did get a puddle, although as the machine had been flushed, this was clean water on lino so it could have been worse. Next time we will make sure the tube is stowed properly so this can’t happen. However I do recommend that the residue liquid in the base is drained out to avoid things going mouldy.
On a similar note a minor gripe is that it is almost impossible to dry the “clean” tank fully, or vent it during storage. We’ll see if it poses an issue with time.
I gave it 4 stars for ease of use as the instructions are not very clear. As others have said they are all pictures and there are a few little things like measuring cups marked in floz but the instructions give quantities in ml (29.5ml = 1 floz). That said we were ultimately able to follow them and assembly and use was straightforward.
Great little portable carpet cleaner but...
Good portable carpet cleaner, used it on my rug and it brought it up very well but the cleaning fluid bottles are very small and very expensive to replace
It is for spots!
I used this for the arms of ky sofa and around the carpet where I sit. The water tank isn’t very big. Suction isn’t as strong as I had expected like my old V** carpet cleaner so I’ve only used it once. I bought this when it was on offer for 80. Its not worth more than this.
Handy Tool For House
Bought following a new puppy having lots of accidents. Easy to use to keep carpet fresh after those.
Went for spot clean for storage reasons. Have been able to clean full room carpets, albeit slowly and on knees, but it brings them up great. Very handy for stairs with long lead to reach socket.

It is best to hoover before use as per instructions. Teenager didn’t and I had to declog – but even that was an easy enough process to empty and access.
Its actually ok!
It is what is says on the tin, a spot cleaner. Its not designed for large areas, but thats ok because its useful for those little accidents around the house. The power cord is nice and long but the pipes quite small and a little awkward so you have to have the main machine unit right next to you when cleaning. Also worth mentioning is the not so great ‘clean water’ container which is ok until you need to empty the unused water and fluid out of it. Dont get me wrong, its not perfect but for 130 its actually quite good and handy to have.
Well worth buying
I don’t have the space to store and large upright machine so I bought this instead as it’s takes up very little space. I used it to do a whole room and although it was hard work I was happy with the results. Cleans well and the suction left the carpet nearly dry. The samples of cleaning fluid will do a few cleans so that’s a bonus. Easy to use and easy to clean afterwards.

Got this to do my couch , it’s was really dirty has having 3 dogs and kids , I was well impressed with it it took 3 attempts to get it clean but it looks like new again now just wished I’d done a before and after pic now was not expecting it to be this good , I all saw used it to clean my car brilliant my next job will be the stairs , well worth the buy .

Cleaned up a tea spill
A tea spill on the carpet was still visible after sponge cleaning, so I ordered this Bissell Spot cleaner. After 15 minutes of unpacking and understanding what to do, I started the machine. Ten minutes later the spill was no longer visible. I am delighted with the result, and recommend it. Hopefully I won’t need it too often, but then again, I have teenagers in the house!

Used with the added cleaning fluid and it was great, my carpets had hard sticky black patches and general flatten grime, They are now back to their former glory. I used all of their spot cleaner so started using laundry detergent and got an even better clean. The carpet that was about to get ripped up now looks pretty new and we will probably get a couple more years out of it. It was embarrassingly bad too. Now I am proud of my hallway again, we are a house full of teens that couldn’t give a damn, spilling, dropping and pounding round, and pets that love running around on carpets after being in the mud… Cant wait to suck the dirt out of the rug, then sofa, but yeah I found that my Aldi laundry detergent worked so much better then the cleaner by Bissel that they say you need. Overall happy, defo recommend
Did the job
The machine was quite heavy and the hose quite short. BUT it did clean my sofas and rug just how I wanted. You could see the dirt going up the hose and filling the dirt tank. For me personally this is a good investment rather than paying someone every time to do it for me. Takes some time out of my day but the end result is worth it.

Received today, given it a quick test on my office floor which has had a stain there for about 8 years,.. 2 minutes with this beauty and its gone!! Very handy, light enough to be very portable, simple, quick and straightforward.
A must have if you have a dog
This is a little gem. I didn’t think for one minute that it would be this good. We have a little dog sitting business and occasionally our guests have ‘accidents’ whilst they’re settling in. I’m sure you can imagine the look of horror when my bedroom carpet looks like a cow has left me a present. Anyway I now have no fear as I know the problem will be gone in seconds. Quick scoop up of the the solid bits then 30 seconds with my Bissell, problem gone. Highly recommend.

Wow, made my sofa look like new!
We have 3 cats and a cream sofa! Not a good combination but this spot cleaner has made it look like new again. No more covers to hide away the arms! You may need to expand the pictures to see the stains on the first two pics but will notice the difference in the third picture after cleaning. Please note the difference in colour is because of the lighting.
One the best investments of my money
This thing is hands-down one of the best purchases I have ever made. If you have a pet with a sensitive stomach, this will literally resolve their midnight puking activities.
Just make sure to clean it out after use as there are plenty of spaces for liquid to remain, and this will end up smelling if left in place. This is easy enough to do, just remove the circular inlet at the bottom of the dirty container.
Also be sure to let the hose and cleaning head drain well before storing again.

Brilliant machine can not fault.
Replacement for a well used old one that the pump for spray died after 5yrs of frequent use. Brilliant for car interior, small to medium bedroom and rugs. Use the pet fluid wash as leaves things odour free and a stronger cleaning solution as well I have found. Not good on paint spills as that finally killed the machine, I could have lived with just the pump going and try to find a replacement part possibly.
I live in an immaculate smoke and pet free home, nobody ever wears shoes beyond the front door. I have only had this rug approximately 9 months and I was absolutely shocked as to how filthy the water was from cleaning it. Really does make you think twice. I don’t usually leave reviews but this is definitely a household essential item to buy! I cannot wait to clean my sofas!

Used it a couple of times and it works well. It does make quite a noise when using and I’m not that impressed with the shampoos that is supplied. Overall it’s a good machine though.

BUT, and this is ALL MY FAULT. I sprayed the carpet a bit heavily (not to mention hysterically because I was very upset). There’s no need. Go with the light spray they recommend and get it nearly dry, see how it is, then spray again if necessary. I saturated right through to the underlay, and as you may imagine in the winter, the carpet didn’t dry for days. Not their fault at all, but worth knowing that less is more and less works very well.

Stain remova
This small cleaner worked well on the upholstery of our car where our grandson had spilt orange juice all across the back seat. It took a while to dry out but has got rid of the stain. Very pleased with it.

I’ve had this a week. Seems very good. Download the user manual from here tho as I didn’t get one in the box. The picture instructions it comes with are pitifully poor. Worth a quick look tho. Thankfully its fairly easy to work out. I’ve just realised I should of been using hot water from the tap, so far I’ve used cold and it still cleaned well. This will be great for stairs and car and it’s size is good to store in cupboard.

Thankfully its fairly easy to work out. I’ve just realised I should of been using hot water from the tap, so far I’ve used cold and it still cleaned well. This will be great for stairs and car and it’s size is good to store in cupboard.

Used on a large rug and upholstery, did a good job on both. Drying time was more than acceptable, the suction power is great but tends to overspray if the angle is not quite right to apply the solution.

This is very easy to use and is light weight. I’ve used it on my stairs, doorway carpets and my mattresses. The results were amazing .

Bought this a couple of days ago after seeing other reviews and it honestly hasn’t disappointed. My mattress was covered in all sorts from having children.. including bed wetting accidents, drink spills and being a woman blessed with unpredictable monthly reds. It got all stains out but did leave a little mark from the monthly reds (blood is a b****h to get out) but I didn’t expect it to be as good as it is!!! BLOODY BRILLIANT!!!!!

I was searching for this product in Canada since Ive used in many times in my old hotel cleaning job. Im so happy that I was able to find it here in the UK. Cleans the best and the detergent smells great.

Only tried on my landing carpet so far but absolutley amazed! I had my carpets ‘professionally cleaned’ not too long ago and wasnt happy. You can clearly see in the pics wheres been done and where hasn’t. It’s brought my carpet up like new and got rid of some big stains. You do have to press down quite firmly to get a decent amount of water back out the carpet but it’s so easy to use.

Very easy to assemble, light to carry around and works a treat. Some old stains came up within seconds with this cleaner. I’m going to do the entrance hallway tomorrow!

I have an upright carpet cleaner which didn’t seem to be making much difference on high usage areas, we recently had a new addition to the family, a chocolate Labrador puppy and wanted something more portable for spot cleaning and for little accidents.
Used the Bissell on the landing where spilled drinks and mucky feet had left the carpet rather embarrassingly dull, using the decent sized sample bottles that came with the cleaner gave immediate visible results, far better than my upright ever did.
The cleaner obviously needs a lot of physical work compared to the upright but this little machine is fantastic. As for puppy accidents, quick and easy to clean.

Perfect little machine
My elderly dog is now incontinent and this is perfect for clearing up his accidents.
It’s small enough to be easily portable and the long lead means all I need do is grab it and wash the soiled area after wiping as much up as I can with a towel.
It’s made life a lot easier for me.

This must be the best item I’ve bought in a long time. With a new puppy its a godsend. Its very portable and. has one switch, on/off. Even my daughter with learning disabilities can use it and helps her feel like she is helping.
I keep fluid in it most of the time and it sits in the hall. I empty the dirt tank after every use.

Great little cleaner! Don’t be fooled by its size or price this is a great cleaner.
Excellent for use on furniture and rugs and carpets to treat stains etc. Great for cleaning up the high traffic routes that develop on carpets. I suppose you could do a full carpet but I don’t see that as its main function.
Cleaned up the arms on our cream sofa really well, great suction so things aren’t left soaking wet.
Would highly recommend.
