We bought these as a gift for my friends daughter and she absolutely loved them, you get a lot in the box and they really pass the time. She had lots of fun. Great birthday gift!
Nice little set which my 7 year old loves. Could do with the material being the a bit longer as it’s quite right around her head but good assortment of colours and easy to follow instructions

got the basic headbands for a child to use and enjoy…quite a small box but not bad for the money
havent open the box yet, because its for christmas. but all in all its 5 star.
My only criticism would be that you don’t get many in a box, however the first box came damaged so I ordered another which was fine, so I put double the amount in for my niece instead of sending one back.

Looked a bit cheap, at first glance…don’t worry, not slating it. Bought it as a Christmas gift for step-grandaughter, as i knew she was into hair bands. Wasn’t sure if she would like it….but when i saw her she was actually very excited and stated she loved it!

Really lovely little set, my daughter loves it. The tattoos are really good and easy to use. The chalks are quite tough to use and only the blue really showed up in her brunette hair but she was happy with it.

On a pu faire 8 bandeaux tresss et certains en double lien, avec des petites fleurs et diam au milieu!! Prvoir des lastiques basiques pour en faire + encore!! =D

Bought as Christmas gift for my 6 yr old niece who is very girly. This is a really good price and I’m sure she’ll love it. It does seems to be good value for money too I’m unable to fully review this though until she tells me what she thinks!

The bands can be made various ways to receive various designs and it is up to the young person what they want themselves. I personally like this particular set from Galt for one main reason our girls that played with them are of various ages from five years old right up to thirteen years old. They each enjoyed playing with their own designs and I liked how each of the girls could spend time together designing and having fun together which for this household is a small miracle. As in the past couple of years they all have separate interests and for one afternoon they had fun together. I personally have purchased another hair band set and a couple of other sets from the same range as I want to be ready for the next rainy afternoon.
My seven-year-old daughter and her friend had great fun with this kit. After a couple of practise attempts and some help from me they were able to get on by themselves (which is what they really like) and make lovely creative hair bands.
Finalising the plaited strip with the elastic bands is just a little awkward for a seven-year old, but they worked together and did okay. The ends are just a little untidy but both of the girls have long hair.
The kit consists of around thirty fabric strips, twenty-five flowers in three different sizes and twenty-five beads in three colours for the centre of the flowers. The girls also decided to add other bits and bobs from other craft kits they had and this worked very well too.
The finished bands looked great, and with a bit of care can be unravelled to start all over again. 5 out of 5 from us.
A very nice, very well organised starter kit for making hairbands. Obviously you could obtain all he components separately but with this kit they are delivered in a convenient form.
Provided hours of entertainment when my nieces came to visit.

This is really fun to sit down and be a bit girly with, mum & daughter making hair bands together.
These are like alice bands – fabric strips decorated. Wearing something she has made makes little miss msu proud…she is prouder when I wear one! They are not at all professional looking and this is not a ‘craft’ thing in the traditional sense as it’s about the ‘doing’ not the end product. I think this would also make a nice gift.

This is another interesting craft kit from Galt that encourages art in a fun and practical way.
In the box you get enough contents to make 8 different headband designs, with the basic stretchy elastic headbands working as a base and allowing them to be stretched over heads. There are 30 different coloured fabric strips to wind around the headband, plus flowers and beads to decorate these further and full instructions on how to create the bands.
The fabric is wound around the hair bands, tying it at each end and adding flowers and beads which are threaded on as you go, but it’s all quite easy to do for anyone aged 6-7 or above. My 8 and 10 year old had a go and both found it fairly easy to do, taking about an hour and a half to complete the bands.
The elastic was fine to fit my 8 year old daughter, but the 10 year old found the hair bands a bit tight, something to note if buying for an older child. You could just use a longer piece of elastic in the same way, though.
This sweet little set comes in a nice neat cardboard box which doubles up as a little carry case with a handle. Inside is everything you need to make 8 cute stretchy hairbands, including fabric to plait, beads and flowers to thread through, and elastic to tie the finished product onto and use as a band.
The materials are good quality, the flower shapes are pretty and the colours of the fabric range from bright to pastel, so there’s a really nice range. The fact that you can design your own headband and use whatever colours, positionings of beads etc that you wish makes it a nice creative activity and means that everyone ends up with something special and individual to them to wear afterwards.
It’s a really nice, simple crafting activity with no mess, no glue or complicated actions. The finished products look pretty good, although the place where they tie at the bottom is a bit messy, so it’s best to try and keep it covered by hair! A lovely activity to fill a couple of hours on a rainy afternoon.
Whenever I see two of my nieces (6 and 9), one of the first things they want to do is play with my hair – it’s waist length. As they’re also both obsessed with loom bands, I thought I’d give this a try. So glad I did. These are great! Containing 30 coloured strips you can braid or twine them together easily, attaching them to one of the 8 included elastic hair bands. Attaching the flowers is straight-forward enough, adding a nice splash of colour, while the beads that hold them in place add a nice glint.
A simple idea, easy to do, with so many different ways to play with this. My nieces and I had a great time with them. Highly recommended.

This is a good set for a rainy day or just for a child who likes to be creative.
It makes 8 hair bands, which are of the stretchy variety. They aren’t difficult to make, although younger children will need some help perhaps with the plaiting, the ends and general construction – it is something I have been doing with a three 1/2 yr old and although she isn’t old enough to make them independently yet (I didn’t expect her to be when we ordered the product) it has been something that she has very much enjoyed doing and I have enjoyed spending the time with her making them. She has some lovely hear bands now, and she is really proud of them.
The box contains two bags of flowers, some larger than the others. It also contains, a bag of bright coloured fabric strips which have a great stretchy feel to them. Also included are beads and eight strong elastic bands. There is no need for glue to be used, so this is a mess-free craft kit! Brilliant!
In terms of difficulty, all that are required in terms of skills are the ability to thread and plait. Everything is easily manageable for a child of around six and up.
Overall, I would highly recommend this set. It is a lovely little craft kit for a child on their own, or as a group activity between friends or siblings.
This is a great activity for rainy days indoors. Very nicely presented and plenty of scope for creative girls. The contents include enough to make eight hairbands and the results are very satisfying and easy enough that most girls from the age of about 6 or 7 will manage. Tying the bands together and plaiting are the only parts that might prove tricky for younger ages but the decorating part is easy and fun.
The resulting hairbands are very pretty and look great either worn individually or in multiples. All the colours compliment each other so it’s easy to mix and match them. This would make a great sleepover activity too. Competitively priced and fun so it’s a great all round activity.
This little set makes 8 head bands. Its easy to follow and we found them easy to do. You get lots of bands, ribbons and flowers. My little one found it all so easy to do and she made some super things for her hair…….and the dogs. Great product to keep a little one quiet on a riny day.
Nice little gift sized box and would be perfect as a present giving its price point. The bands are nice and soft, these kind of bands are the best around as they stretch nicely (due to the material) so are more likely to last as opposed to the stiffer type of band.
They kept our nieces quiet for hours and they loved being creative with this set. The end results were fantastic and we really couldn’t recommend this any higher.

This set makes 8 stretchy hairbands by simply plating/weaving strips and threading beads and decorating with flowers ect as you go.
Its a lovely set and makes some really pretty hairbands. My 4 yr old and 7 yr old granddaughters have made a couple each after school today.It kept them busy until tea was ready so a good 90 mins. My younger granddaughter needed a bit of help and the 7yr old just needed help to try and tidy the ends up a bit. They really enjoyed this girlie activity.
The set would make a lovely gift or just to keep the girls busy on wet day and can’t go outdoors.
My daughter is 10 and loves loom banding in a big way ! This is kind of an extension of that in terms of making some fantastic looking hair bands which she made for her mum, herself and her school friends. You can make 8 in the set and as with all Galt products it oozes quality and the instructions are very clear and she could do it herself without our help. To complete all 8 took her a long afternoon and felt good value for what it was. No reason therefore not to give it five out of five and would make a great birthday party present. Strongly recommended.
This is a great little stocking filler for your Princess or Prince at Christmas! There are enough accessories in the box to make a decent few attempts at bands and, looking at the accessories, you could easily replenish from your local craft store, too.
The instructions are clear and easy to follow, though because of the partial complexity I would recommend guided play, and most certainly exercise caution around younger members of the household and pets, as there are plenty of cooking hazards. These aren’t hair bands made to last, but there will be fun to be had.

Right out of the box this craft set looks quality, it comes in a sturdy box which looks like the activity would be fun. This means it would make a quality present. Everything you need to make the hair bands is inside the box. The bands are easy to make and keep kids occupied for a couple of hours. Wearing the bands is as much fun as making them. My niece, who is 10, enjoyed the activity, but I would say this is the top of the age range for this activity. All in all an excellent product. This would make an excellent birthday present or stocking filler. Highly recommend.
Nice little kit, and quite easy for children to manage. You get a bag of bright and pastel coloured strips of a light jersey stretchy fabric, two bags of different sized flowers, and a bag of beads, plus eight black elastic bands. The box is slightly misleading as the picture, in my opinion, gives the impression that you will be creating firm Alice bands (the sort on a u-shaped plastic base). In fact you are making stretchy headbands. These are great, but the tied ends are difficult to do neatly, so they have a rather scruffy bit at the back; OK if you’re hiding it under your hair, but not so good otherwise. They are simple to make, as they only require plaiting, tying and threading techniques.
All in all a great set, which makes an ideal rainy day activity for crafty little girls; my six year old is now proudly showing everyone the hair bands she made herself, and they do look great. So far they have held together well, and they stay on when worn.
