Chalks can be a challenge.
Really lovely little set, my daughter loves it. The tattoos are really good and easy to use. The chalks are quite tough to use and only the blue really showed up in her brunette hair but she was happy with it.

Parfait. Personnellement je m’en suis servie comme activit pour un anniversaire. Les enfants ont t ravis de fabriquer toutes seules leur propre serre-tte qu’elles ont ramen trs fires chez elles. Les instructions sont claires et faciles suivre. Grand choix de fabrication. Le rendu est trs bien. Pour passer un bon moment convivial.

I bought this for my 7yr grand daughter for Christmas. She absolutely loved it. I was impressed with the contents which were plentiful. Sometimes you can be disappointed with what’s in the box but this wasn’t the case. I would have no hesitation in recommending this product.

Bought as Christmas gift for my 6 yr old niece who is very girly. This is a really good price and I’m sure she’ll love it. It does seems to be good value for money too I’m unable to fully review this though until she tells me what she thinks!
I bought this hair bands set for my niece for Christmas as she loves to make things. So I thought this would be brilliant and she would love plus it will keep her busy over the Christmas holiday. Some people have said on the reviews that there are not enough bit’s in box’s. I think there is enough because you do not want to much it will be everywhere and you wont be able to find it. Plus if the child get’s bored with it then you wont have hundred’s of bit’s every where.

Brilliant Hair bands is a great gift to any fashion loving young girl especially for those who love working with their hair. This Galt kit for hair bands has everything you will need to make the hair bands which are shown on the photographs above. I like how the makers have given different sizes of flowers as the bands can be made unique to the young designers own taste.
The bands can be made various ways to receive various designs and it is up to the young person what they want themselves. I personally like this particular set from Galt for one main reason our girls that played with them are of various ages from five years old right up to thirteen years old. They each enjoyed playing with their own designs and I liked how each of the girls could spend time together designing and having fun together which for this household is a small miracle. As in the past couple of years they all have separate interests and for one afternoon they had fun together. A very nice, very well organised starter kit for making hairbands. Obviously you could obtain all he components separately but with this kit they are delivered in a convenient form.
Provided hours of entertainment when my nieces came to visit.

These are like alice bands – fabric strips decorated. Wearing something she has made makes little miss msu proud…she is prouder when I wear one! They are not at all professional looking and this is not a ‘craft’ thing in the traditional sense as it’s about the ‘doing’ not the end product. I think this would also make a nice gift.

This sweet little set comes in a nice neat cardboard box which doubles up as a little carry case with a handle. Inside is everything you need to make 8 cute stretchy hairbands, including fabric to plait, beads and flowers to thread through, and elastic to tie the finished product onto and use as a band.
The materials are good quality, the flower shapes are pretty and the colours of the fabric range from bright to pastel, so there’s a really nice range. The fact that you can design your own headband and use whatever colours, positionings of beads etc that you wish makes it a nice creative activity and means that everyone ends up with something special and individual to them to wear afterwards.
It’s a really nice, simple crafting activity with no mess, no glue or complicated actions. The finished products look pretty good, although the place where they tie at the bottom is a bit messy, so it’s best to try and keep it covered by hair! A lovely activity to fill a couple of hours on a rainy afternoon.

There are 30 different coloured fabric strips to wind around the headband, plus flowers and beads to decorate these further and full instructions on how to create the bands.
The fabric is wound around the hair bands, tying it at each end and adding flowers and beads which are threaded on as you go, but it’s all quite easy to do for anyone aged 6-7 or above. My 8 and 10 year old had a go and both found it fairly easy to do, taking about an hour and a half to complete the bands.
The elastic was fine to fit my 8 year old daughter, but the 10 year old found the hair bands a bit tight, something to note if buying for an older child. You could just use a longer piece of elastic in the same way, though.

The Galt Brilliant Hair Band set is a fantastic gift for any creative girl, or girls. It allowed three little girls, aged 5,6, and 7, to have great fun together. They all pitched in to create some lovely hair bands, and the finished products did not look like a typical craft item made by a child. Instead, they looked like something you might buy in a shop, really lovely quality for a craft kit.
The box contains two bags of flowers, some larger than the others. It also contains, a bag of bright coloured fabric strips which have a great stretchy feel to them. Also included are beads and eight strong elastic bands. There is no need for glue to be used, so this is a mess-free craft kit! Brilliant!
In terms of difficulty, all that are required in terms of skills are the ability to thread and plait. Everything is easily manageable for a child of around six and up.
Overall, I would highly recommend this set. It is a lovely little craft kit for a child on their own, or as a group activity between friends or siblings.
My daughters have enjoyed making hair bands with this lovely kit. ‘Crafting’ if that is even the correct term is pretty big in our house and although you can acquire many of the pieces you get here from various craft shops this, as a starter set is really good. It certainly lets the imagination loose and my daughters have hair bands of their own creation now. That unique element is something you can’t get from wider commercial products and we like the fact that the girls have sat down, created their own hair bands and used the fruits of their labour. That is a nice thing. I have to give 5 stars because the smiles from two of my daughters (the ones old enough to wear hair bands) are so wide wearing their own hand-made hair bands (ok mums hands were pretty instrumental) speaks for itself.

This is a really lovely little set containing enough hairbands and decorative beads to make eight stretchy headbands. As other reviewers have noted, they are a little untidy where they are knotted at the back, but this can be hidden under hair.

This is a good set for a rainy day or just for a child who likes to be creative.
It makes 8 hair bands, which are of the stretchy variety. They aren’t difficult to make, although younger children will need some help perhaps with the plaiting, the ends and general construction – it is something I have been doing with a three 1/2 yr old and although she isn’t old enough to make them independently yet (I didn’t expect her to be when we ordered the product) it has been something that she has very much enjoyed doing and I have enjoyed spending the time with her making them. She has some lovely hear bands now, and she is really proud of them.
My daughters have enjoyed making hair bands with this lovely kit. ‘Crafting’ if that is even the correct term is pretty big in our house and although you can acquire many of the pieces you get here from various craft shops this, as a starter set is really good. It certainly lets the imagination loose and my daughters have hair bands of their own creation now. That unique element is something you can’t get from wider commercial products and we like the fact that the girls have sat down, created their own hair bands and used the fruits of their labour. That is a nice thing. I have to give 5 stars because the smiles from two of my daughters (the ones old enough to wear hair bands) are so wide wearing their own hand-made hair bands (ok mums hands were pretty instrumental) speaks for itself.
Ideal stocking fille
This is a really lovely little set containing enough hairbands and decorative beads to make eight stretchy headbands. As other reviewers have noted, they are a little untidy where they are knotted at the back, but this can be hidden under hair.

Good results
This is a good set for a rainy day or just for a child who likes to be creative.
It makes 8 hair bands, which are of the stretchy variety. They aren’t difficult to make, although younger children will need some help perhaps with the plaiting, the ends and general construction – it is something I have been doing with a three 1/2 yr old and although she isn’t old enough to make them independently yet (I didn’t expect her to be when we ordered the product) it has been something that she has very much enjoyed doing and I have enjoyed spending the time with her making them. She has some lovely hear bands now, and she is really proud of them.
The Galt Brilliant Hair Band set is a fantastic gift for any creative girl, or girls. It allowed three little girls, aged 5,6, and 7, to have great fun together. They all pitched in to create some lovely hair bands, and the finished products did not look like a typical craft item made by a child. Instead, they looked like something you might buy in a shop, really lovely quality for a craft kit.
The box contains two bags of flowers, some larger than the others. It also contains, a bag of bright coloured fabric strips which have a great stretchy feel to them. Also included are beads and eight strong elastic bands. There is no need for glue to be used, so this is a mess-free craft kit! Brilliant!
In terms of difficulty, all that are required in terms of skills are the ability to thread and plait. Everything is easily manageable for a child of around six and up.
Overall, I would highly recommend this set. It is a lovely little craft kit for a child on their own, or as a group activity between friends or siblings.

This little set makes 8 head bands. Its easy to follow and we found them easy to do. You get lots of bands, ribbons and flowers. My little one found it all so easy to do and she made some super things for her hair…….and the dogs. Great product to keep a little one quiet on a riny day.

Nice little gift sized box and would be perfect as a present giving its price point. The bands are nice and soft, these kind of bands are the best around as they stretch nicely (due to the material) so are more likely to last as opposed to the stiffer type of band.
They kept our nieces quiet for hours and they loved being creative with this set. The end results were fantastic and we really couldn’t recommend this any higher.

My younger granddaughter needed a bit of help and the 7yr old just needed help to try and tidy the ends up a bit. They really enjoyed this girlie activity.

They don’t tie too neatly if you’re leaving the ends on show but are fine if you can hide them under longer hair. There are 8 elastic hair bands, 30 fabric strips (assorted sizes), 25 flowers and 25 beads inside the box. To make the bands you simply plait the fabric strips, add beads and flowers to your own design then attached the finished plait to the band. Easy to undo and start again. I can see most little girls having fun with this. Brilliant Hair Bands has a 6+ safety recommendation. Nice little bit of fun and I’m happy to recommend.

Everything you need to make the hair bands is inside the box. The bands are easy to make and keep kids occupied for a couple of hours. Wearing the bands is as much fun as making them. My niece, who is 10, enjoyed the activity, but I would say this is the top of the age range for this activity. All in all an excellent product. This would make an excellent birthday present or stocking filler. Highly recommend.

You get a bag of bright and pastel coloured strips of a light jersey stretchy fabric, two bags of different sized flowers, and a bag of beads, plus eight black elastic bands. The box is slightly misleading as the picture, in my opinion, gives the impression that you will be creating firm Alice bands (the sort on a u-shaped plastic base). In fact you are making stretchy headbands. These are great, but the tied ends are difficult to do neatly, so they have a rather scruffy bit at the back; OK if you’re hiding it under your hair, but not so good otherwise. They are simple to make, as they only require plaiting, tying and threading techniques.
All in all a great set, which makes an ideal rainy day activity for crafty little girls; my six year old is now proudly showing everyone the hair bands she made herself, and they do look great. So far they have held together well, and they stay on when worn.
