Great sound from a compact unit that fits into the palm of your hand. The FM radio function is good together with the micro SD card slot.
Despite other reviewers criticism of the mode selection process I soon got use to it and I think most buyers will probably use one mode for the majority of time, be it FM radio, SD card or bluetooth.
I have other Anker products and their battery life has been excellent so no reason to believe the Mini will be different.
Update……….after using the speaker for a couple of weeks I can confirm that it is definitely brilliant, even my wife said “that is impressive”. The updated version, the Mini 2, has 1W more speaker power but no FM radio so why pay more for that model!
While the Mini does not produce the full blasting surround sound of a 200 unit, the sound quality is excellent. We use it when relaxing outside or in the caravan awning but I mainly use it for music in the bathroom.

Build … This thing is tiny, like half a can of pop size. It has a real weighty feel to it, oozes quality. The main body is metal, how it can be sold at this price baffles me if I’m honest.

Connect … iPad .. iPhone took seconds, great range too.

    Sound…. it’s witchcraft I tell you !
I was genuinely shocked by the level of sound this thing pushes out but we all know it not all about volume. Something this small can not give a quality sound unfortunately….. WRONG! It has everything, good bass, great mid and crisp top. You will just look at it in disbelief wondering where the sound is coming from! It’s impossible for it to do what it does, even more so for the price !

Go and buy it, In fact rip their arm off before they realise it’s way to cheap. Stop reading and hit add to basket… you still here? Go !

basically every review that says its great……is right.Bought this after my anker speaker just wouldnt charge and wanted something for the kitchen and when going to the park for a picnic and this has all the things you want from a small portable bluetooth speaker and more.Don’t let the size fool you this thing packs a punch. The sound is very good and easily fills a room with sound but dont expect it to be like you have a full stereo in your room but way better than most speakers even larger ones. The bass is very punchy and has good timing so not overbearing so you don’t hear the higher frequencies. The mids are ok and the treble is just right but i play a lot of different styles of music. Its not very heavy and i have only charged it once since i bought it last august 2019 and i play it on average about 30mins-1hr each week.but when i took it to the park it lasted 6hrs without any worries and had to lower the volume as people were looking. No dropped connections easily connects to your device.
A very good speaker for the price.

    Small but punchy.

Really love this speaker. It is so small that you can take it with anywhere. Unfortunate it is not waterproof…
Even though it is pretty small, it gets the job done and can get pretty loud. I’ve been using it for two years now and battery life is really good.
If you are looking for superb sound quality and high power, maybe looks somewhere else.
I am not sure if the fact that goes in standby after 5-10 minutes of not using is a good thing for battery life. Just need to switch back on and connects back quickly.

If you are looking for a speaker that provides acceptable music or you just want to listen to podcasts while cooking, increadible portable, good durability and flexible, than this will not fail you.

Anker Soundcore mini. It’s small, like a small tumbler glass small, but it has a decent volume (Small and loud) and sound quality is actually pretty good. The FM radio function is a bit rubbish, so if that’s your main aim then it’s not for you, but we just Bluetooth a radio app to it so no real issue there. Only been using it a couple of days, so battery life hasn’t been an issue yet as it’s basically next to a charging point. I’d have given 5 stars if not for the radio.
After a few months of use…Battery life is good, lasts a few days of fair usage, still loving the sound quality for the size/price point. It does seem to have a volume issue when initially connecting via Bluetooth in that it starts really loud for a second, but not entirely sure that isn’t the volume on the speaker being set higher than device volume…Overall though, really happy with it.

This arrived the day after I ordered it! I bought it mostly to use with my laptop, which has the worst possible speakers. This has solved the problem completely. It was easy to pair the speaker and laptop, and I can now listen to music or watch YouTube videos etc. It has a really good sound at a very reasonable price, and I would recommend it to anyone. One reviewer said that it can be used as a handsfree speaker with a mobile, but I haven’t tried it yet. It’s nice and small, with a big sound!
I’ve just paired this with the Echo in my living room, so can now access Alexa from my bedroom. I didn’t expect it to do that! It has already solved two problems I had, & I’m even more impressed!

The speaker was smaller than I expected but great sound quality and easy to setup. By a process of elimination, I have found that the Equalizer (EQ) setting of ‘Jazz’ provides the best sound quality from the speaker – i.e. provides great bass and complete sound. The speaker also means I can now get rid of the bulky hi-fi and speaker setup I had in the bedroom meaning not only greater convenience but also additional space saving. Recommended.

Received this whopper of a speaker a few days ago and just- Oh. My. Gosh.
It may look small, but boy does it pack a punch. It’s sleek, portable and did I mention, powerful?
I’ve played it at full volume where bass is needed and it still sounds crystal clear. It’s got a little rubber ring on the bottom so it doesn’t move around while the bass tickles the surface.
It’s easy to connect and I am yet to find a fault.
My mum was so impressed with this, I bought her one too!

    Definitely would recommend!

    Recommend as a buy:

I bought this wanting a wireless speaer for use with Teams, Skype, WebEx etc. to avoid the awkward lean-in that’s required sometimes when communicating via a laptop mic. I also wanted flexibility to be able to move around when on calls without impacting speaker or mic quality.

This device delivers on all of the above. Sound and mic are both clear; easy to be mobile on conversations (read: make cup of tea) and it’s small enough to sit unintrusively on the desk in front/to the side. My only mild gripe is that there is a delay of around 1-2 seconds from speaking to the transmission vi Bluetooth to a mobile and then into the call – so it’s not perfect but plenty better than using the PC mic. I’ve used it as a music speaker a couple of times in the garden too and it holds its own given the size.

At the price point, it’s great value for money imho.

Great little speaker for listening to podcasts, no so great for music due to its limited dynamic range. You’re not going to get Hifi sound out of a speaker this size but for voice-driven audio it’s fine. One small annoyance is it always seems to default to three-quarter volume when connecting meaning you have to dive for the volume when connecting. Build quality is good, The BT connection method is slightly odd but once connected to the phone is reliable. For the price it’s a pretty neat piece of kit.

I liked this unit when I got it at first. It’s very small for the sound output and ideal for mobile use and for increasing the volume of mobiles and tablets. The battery life was great too. For the price — you can’t fault it. Bluetooth seemed to have been reliable and easy to connect.

The negative side: I didn’t expect it to fill a room with sound, but when I did turned it full blast — it distorted badly. At full volume — it was struggling. You’d think it would have some headroom for really high levels. As such I returned it and bought a bigger speaker.

I would not recommend if you are using this for home use; maybe for car or mobile use — it would suffice.

I unpacked this and put it on charge. I bought this to use as a speaker for my iPhone while exercising on my treadmill. I was not too bothered about sound quality as thumping along on my tread makes a fair bit of noise. I switched it on an within seconds it paired to my phone. I put on some music and was actually blown away by the sound. It was great quality for this small device. Used it with my treadmill and turned up the volume and was amazed. Really pleased I got this speaker.

Honestly, I was skeptical about the reviews saying how great it was, but I needed a bluetooth speaker and thought this would be ok but not expecting much.
But…the sound quality is amazing! The product is really solidly made, and I’ve not even had to recharge it yet from when I got it out of the box.
Connects to my desktop PC and phone seamlessly, and really packs a punch.
Seriously, if you’re on the fence, just buy it!

Great little speaker. Bought for a friend but installed the Micro SD and checked it out first. Was really amazed at how well it performed for such a tiny speaker. It doesn’t compete with a 200 bluetooth speaker, but it sounds great and is super portable. I ended up buying another and having it shipped directly to my friend, due to Covid lockdown restrictions, but opted to keep the one I had to replace my 200 one for camping trips etc due to its portability.

Sadly, had an issue with the one sent to my friend. I had popped the micro SD in her birthday card but she couldn’t get it to work, it happens. I contacted Anker directly as I wasn’t sure about returning items whilst under lockdown. I received truly amazing customer service from them, I cannot speak highly enough of the process and resolution. Anker not only make good kit but value their after sales service too. 10 out of 10 on all fronts.

This is an amazing little speaker, I can’t rate it highly enough! I was a bit skeptical about some of the reviews before deciding to purchase this but thought for the price, it’s worth taking a chance. I’m so pleased I did as this is a seriously impressive piece of kit. Very easy to pair with my iPhone, room filling sound, small and portable; I honestly can’t fault it. OK, so it’s not ‘high end hifi’, but I wasn’t really expecting that for the ridiculously cheap price paid. What you do get is a very good sound quality for listening to music anywhere away from home, without the inconvenience of having to use head/earphones to get a decent sound. I’d highly recommend this if you want decent, easily portable high quality sounds when travelling, on holiday or just working around the house and garden, (with the added bonus of FM radio included)

I bought this product when I saw the glowing review left by other people, even though I had a slight hesitation considering some fake reviews you can find on this site. I thought thousands of people leaving a 5-star review can’t all be fake.

Where do I start? The speaker itself is tiny, but this tiny thing packs a sound! Connecting via Bluetooth was easy peasy which is really rare. I was blown away by the sound when I put the music on. I have a Samsung sound bar with 3 different pieces and this tiny speaker impressed me so much more than the Samsung. It fills a room with SOUND! I could enjoy good music even in the kitchen without moving the speaker with me. What’s more, it’s so cheap you don’t even need to think twice about it. If airports ever open again it’s coming with me on holiday!

    I absolutely recommend this speaker.

Currently listening to this in my office, streaming radio to it from my phone. It sounds superb. If I wanted an actual radio that sounded like this I’d have to spend at least 80+ on something from Roberts. The clarity, the volume, the general sound quality, is far far better than anyone could reasonably expect from a product that is so small and so affordable. I didn’t want to say cheap. There is nothing cheap about this apart from the price. The sound quality, the tactile feel of the unit, there’s nothing cheap about those.
Update – still well impressed with this. Works perfectly with no glitches and still sounds as good as ever.

I use this speaker daily for zoom meetings, music, watching amazon video or Netflix on a tablet. Great speaker to have on whilst working out. Easy to connect to any Bluetooth device or by audio cable (laptop speakers) but only one device at a time – remember to disconnect and reconnect to new device. The microphone isn’t great for phone calls but I would agree with the majority of the reviews here on Amazon that this is a great little portable Bluetooth speaker and would highly recommend.

Connects in seconds, sound quality is excellent. Build quality is also first class (have bought other Anker items before so I was expecting nothing less).

For something this small, the bass out performs my KS Boombar which is 3 times the size. All round sound quality is excellent.

I particularly like that the volume controls and play/pause are on the device (which controls the source volume). This save me having to unlock my phone to adjust the volume.

For around 20, its certainly worth it.

UPDATE: This device became faulty and the music would go on and off by itself via bluetooth or the memory card. Being that it has an 18 month warranty, Anker support were excellent! After some initial troubleshooting, I received a new unit on a next day delivery! Customer service were brilliant!

Great little speaker. Goes very loud for the size of it and the memory slot and aux input options are nice too. Very well eq’d sound is great for various music styles and voice too. The fm radio seems a waste of time. Can’t really pick anything up and you need the usb charge cable attached as an aerial. Most phones have radio apps now days so don’t see the point. There are cases available on here for an extra tenner but I would personally preferred to have paid a fiver extra and had one included with the speaker. If two could be paired up for stereo sound they would probably sell a lot more units! But overall it’s fab.

Wow! I wasn’t expecting that! This is such a compact little gadget and I wasn’t expecting it to be as loud and powerful as it is. It connected instantly by bluetooth to my phone and other devices and the sound is amazing. I love it and will be taking it around with me on holidays etc as it takes up so little room yet gives an outstanding performance. I can’t comment on the battery life yet but it’s still going strong after a few weeks so it’s looking good. I can highly recommend this little speaker. Every home should have one! Thank you.

My 2016 Anker cube speaker recently died after 4 years of trouble free service. This replacement model is smaller and feels more solid (metal chassis).

The smaller size did concern me as to the sound but I needn’t have worried. I honestly wonder why people spend 100+ on Bose speakers when this sounds as good for 15! At home I have a hifi separates system with a 2400 pair of floorstanding speakers so I know about quality sound.

Added features since my 2016 model include an AUX input, FM radio (neither of which I have tested or will test to be honest), as well as a smart feature that powers the speaker off after a while if no signal is coming through.

I use this connected to my laptop to listen to music and Internet radio and highly recommend this.

    Brilliant device

I know what you’re thinking; nothing that small is going to sound amazing.
    And you’re right.

It’s not for high quality audio playback though.
It’s for thumping out your tunes in a place you don’t have your amazing system in.

Personally mine is normally in the kitchen, because I like to wiggle my behind when cooking.
I’ve found it plenty loud enough to be heard over the sound of a blender if you are that way inclined.

The Bluetooth connection is as good as anything else I own. Audio dropouts will happen as the battery level dramatically drops, but that’s to be expected.

The battery does seem to last forever. I’m very happy with that.

Bought this as a Bluetooth speaker for travelling. Real quality build. Lightweight but substantial. Impressed with the sound quality from such a little speaker. I was even more impressed when I realised that it also has an FM tuner(the charging cable acts as an aerial) and port for micro SD card. 4 functions in one tiny gadget. I cant believe how much I love this little guy. He is a radio, Bluetooth speaker, aux cable speaker and a jukebox with music from SD card! All for an amazingly small price. Battery life also seems great. Well done yet again Anker. Fab device.

This little thing really packs a punch! DO NOT BE FOOLED ON ITS SIZE! I lost my Sony mini speaker and was looking for a cheaper alternative and got this one because my friend recommended the brand and the reviews looked good… I was not disappointed! Literally, it’s the best thing ever! I love using it and my hubby keeps taking it from me too – he also loves it! It charges fast, connects super easily and remembers connections (just dont forget to turn off your bluetooth if you’re still connected but someone else wants to use it). It feels good and works so well!

    Amazing on every element below:
    * Sound Quality
    * Performance (very powerful)
    * Battery Life
    * Size
    * Price

I bought this as an xmas present for family.

Despite it’s small size, it amplifies the sound and bass nicely and very loudly too!

With casual use every day for around 30-60 minutes, it only dropped to about 30% after the first week was great!

Bluetooth connectivity works fine but you can only connect 1 device fo it at a time and sometimes to connect, you need to turn the speaker off and then on again. Other than that, it’s great!

The feel of the design is good too! A nice metal feel and a compact size, great for carrying to other rooms or abroad 😉

Received this yesterday. It might be a little early to express my enthusiasm but, sure, I can always review the review later. Anyway, the item pleased me all round. Good weight combined with sticky rubber base stopped it vibrating away. No hiss or crackle even at full volume. Volume, bass and sound quality more than adequate unless you are a purist. I wouldn’t be using it for parties but for individual listening, absolutely fine. Does what it says on the tin. Connected to my laptop and phone with no problems. I bought this for my laptop as the inbuilt speakers are dire and it does the job more than adequately. No discernible lag while movie watching. I can’t speak to the claimed 15 hour playtime nor battery life nor range as yet but these are not of any great importance to me.
Right now, I would consider this item to be a nice little bargain at under 17. You want better, pay more.

Remarkably powerful for its size, with no obvious distortion at pretty high volumes. The sound is perhaps a bit harsh, but that’s subjective really. I’m pleased I bought it.

What I hadn’t realised at first is that as well as simply functioning as a speaker, it has an FM radio and it will also play MP3 sound files from a micro SD card. Both these functions work very well in terms of sound, but the very limited controls make them a bit difficult: for the radio, it doesn’t seem to remember the last station you played, so you have to scan each time to find a particular station. This can be a pain where I live (London) because there are so many stations.

As to the MP3s, the track order is not obvious – it doesn’t seem to depend on the file name, so you can’t call your tracks 01Track, 02Track etc and hope to get them to play in order. I have not found a way round this, which means you can’t listen to anything (like say an audio book) where the track order is key.

Still, these extra functions seem marginal to me compared with its excellent Bluetooth performance, which is after all what I bought it for.

Bought for my kitchen (not the largest but not the smallest) and is more than enough to fill the room with good quality sound. Struggled to hear my phone speaker over the extractor fan, microwave etc, but this speaker more than overpowers those at half volume, so can hear my music whilst cooking. Whilst the bass is not that deep, for the size of the speaker and also the price, the sound quality is good. Would recommend for a small-ish sized room without hesitation. For a bigger room I would recommend the larger Anker speaker (believe it’s the soundcore) which I bought as a present for my Dad. I already owned a Bose minilink, but if I hadn’t already bought this I would have purchased the Anker soundcore speaker as the sound quality is not much different but is much cheaper. Good products, would recommend!

This little thing is perfect for my needs. I use it (together with a case I bought separately on Amazon) to listen to music and audio books while I do my gardening, DIY or anything else on my own. Connects very easy, produces good sound and the case clips on to anywhere on your belt, clothing or something near you.
The only annoying thing is that if you have it in a case and someone call you, you can’t talk to them as the microphone is blocked by the case. Once speaker is taken out of the case it is all good.
As for quality of sound, I can’t compare it with the Sony, JBL etc, but it is a lot better than the phone. The size of the speaker is much smaller than the above mentioned two brand’s speakers so very suitable for moving around.
Over all it is one of the best things I have purchased in the last few years. Extremely satisfied with this product.

did a bit of browsing and the reviews were pretty good for this speaker so I took a gamble, as I’ve had 5w speakers before and they turned out tinney and basically crap sounding….
made the purchase on a lightning deal and although I though some of the reviews were on a cookoo cloud with regards to the sound remarks …. BUT – OMG, it’s a small speaker and only 5w, but hell !!! it’s VERY good, crystal clear sound with a nice bass and on full volume, produces a room full of music ! . I was really shocked as to how good the sound was ! it has a rubber ring on the base of it, which helps with the sound and stops it from jumping round or sliding off a surface because it’s so powerful…. pairing was quick and simple to do
paired with an echo dot, and sound volume only on mid 5, my neighbour came knocking asking if I was having a party (??) . LOL (perfect for a shower party !!) 🙂
what a brilliant speaker for it’s size,,, charging takes a couple of hours and so far it’s been going for about 10 hours and still going strong… love it 100%

When I opened the box, I thought this is going to be a tinny, disappointing experience but oh how wrong I was. This little beauty really packs a punch! Bluetooth connectivity is a breeze and battery life is pretty good. Bass is very good for such a small speaker and should satisfy all with young Savs who love bass above all whilst driving small hatchbacks with stereos worth more than the car being the exception!!
Ours is now our dedicated Echo Dot speaker in the kitchen and visitors are amazed how such a speaker smaller than a small tin of beans can punch out sound like it does!!

This is a superb piece of kit. Amazing sound for such a small speaker. Warm, dynamic range plus the ability to control volume independently of any external audio player. Very fast Bluetooth connectivity. Excellent high quality aluminium build with superb streamlined design for shape and integration of switches. Battery life also excellent, charges easily. If you need a small form speaker then just don’t bother considering anything else. I had cause to contact customer support ([email protected]) and they were quick to respond and very helpful. I bought this speaker to use in my office as an alternative to the tinny (and tiny) speakers in my laptop. It’s smaller than a drinks can, not far off the size of a small can of beans and about the same weight. There’s a reassuring heft to it, as well as a rubberised base that implies something of substance and that’s how it sounds. I’ve spent the afternoon listening to a range of music types and the sound quality is pretty good for the price. It’s not “surround” and probably far short of one of the big names, but ideal for my purposes. It was easy to set up although I haven’t tried any of the features like using the FM radio or the micro SD card.

This is a bit of a weird one. I have an Anker Soundcore 2 (the bigger one) which costs 40 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker-Upgraded-SoundCore-Bluetooth-Waterproof/dp/B01MTB55WH/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=anker+speaker&qid=1572081157&sr=8-3 But this Soundcore mini actually sounds better, I think. Great for music, but particularly good (better than the larger Soundcore) for radio speech. A superb bass sound, which is not distorting at all. Very portable. It’s heavier than you think it might be from the small size. Obviously well constructed, and has a very solid feel. Amazing value. Very good as smartphone speaker. Speakers generally seem to have made great improvements in the past decade.

Wow simply wow!!! I bought this speaker because it had so many good reviews but as we all know with every item that Amazon sells you will get happy customers and unhappy ones for the same item so obviously I was a bit sceptical but i bought and I’m so happy with it i intend to buy another one.
It’s super light and tiny yet very powerful the sound is just amazing even at maximum volume, it looks very sleek (I bought the gold one and it’s beautiful it doesn’t look tacky at all) and the battery life lasts for ages compared to others.
The only negative thing I found is that your mobile cannot be too far from the speaker or it will stop working (at only 10 metres away from the device it stopped working) but other than that it’s perfect definitely deserves 5 stars. Hope this has helped you to make up your mind :o)

This speaker has lovely sound quality and can go surprisingly loud. It’s marvellously portable and I use it almost every day now. It’s nice to have going while I write, or when I’m doing housework or cooking, or even relaxing in evenings.

It connects easily to my phone when switched on, and makes a sound to confirm connection. However, I feel the main downside of this speaker is that when it goes a while without any input from your device, it will disconnect, and when it has been disconnected for a while you can’t reconnect remotely from your phone. You have to switch the speaker off and on again (quickest way) or change the connectivity setting (longer way) to connect it again. I would like it better if I could leave it on and connect to it remotely at any time of day, after any length of time disconnected. It probably saves the speaker battery consumption to go idle like this, I suppose, but I would still prefer it to remain available for connection at all times.

Reconnecting is very simple, since you just need to flip the switch back and forth once, but I do wish it wasn’t necessary. Aside from that, I have no complaints. The sound quality is excellent and the battery life is good. It’ll go days before it gets low battery, in my experience. When it does, it’ll interrupt playback with a low battery noise at regular intervals. Annoyingly, these don’t stop when you plug it in, so any music you try to play will be interrupted. It doesn’t make the low battery sound if you aren’t actively trying to play anything on it.

I recently bought this to take on a family trip to France and everyone in the family was so impressed at the sound quality and volume level for such a small device! The battery seemed to last a really long time and I think I only charged it once or twice during the 1 week trip despite daily use mostly in the evenings for after dinner music.

The device was easy to connect with bluetooth however we did notice that if you wanted to change users (DJs) the other person would have to disconnect on their phone before the other person could then connect and sync. The instructions didn’t mention anything about this so it did take a few tries before we figured this out! I definitely recommend getting the matching colour shell case which can store the cord and device itself for travel and I used the plug end of my iPhone charger to plug into the wall socket to charge so not a problem if you don’t have your computer near by.

This device is surprisingly small and light enough to pack in luggage to take on holidays, my family were so impressed with this item and at such a great price point I plan to buy a few as stocking fillers for Christmas this year. A++ Highly recommend. Thank you!

Arrived two days early, God bless Amazon. For the size and price this is a real gem, plenty loud enough for the shed, garage, holiday cottage, camping and amazing in the bathroom, try it! Outstanding, by the way, if you want to use it with windows ten, open the taskbar and go to the volume control on the right hand side on turn it on. It’s default position is off. FM radio, Bluetooth, SD card and auxiliary input, if this little gem was a person it would have a degree in being fantastic. Don’t honestly know about battery life yet so I have given it 4 for now. After a few months using this the battery life seems to go on forever. So a full and well earned 5 stars. I still love this after a few months, one slight minus is perhaps the SD card will only play mp3, not WMA tracks. Shame, but I still love it. Still five stars.

Just perfect. Easy to use, good sound good battery life. If a pho e previously connected to it is around it may automatically connect the speaker when you turn it on preventing other phones to find it on bluetooth. In which phone is connectec, disconnect it and connect the new one. Works like a clock. Vary happy with this product, bougth oneforeach member of the family so they can move it wherever theywant and have a speaker connected to their phone at all time. Also useful in the car, plugged on the usb socket for the kids to have music at the back without having to put up the radio volume.

I went for this because it had sooo many fantastic reviews. Well, I’m glad i did. This speaker is small but mighty. I didn’t realise how small it actually is and was somewhat dubious when i opened the package. But !!! When i played my music from my phone the sound was incredible. Honestly, it was just as good as my son’s branded full size speaker and I tried all sorts of genres on it too. It’s footprint is small (in all the speaker is about half the size of a can of pop )so won’t take up much space on the shelf or your desk. I can’t wait to take it home and play it in my craft room which is what i bought it for.
Highly recommended. The gold is a lovely colour.
Go for one of these, you will not be sorry.

Wow. This arrived 20 minutes ago and I HAD around write a review. First of all, i was shocked at how small it is. It’s about the size of a small apple, so I was already not expecting much the reviews were amazing.

I was connected to my phone and playing music 30 seconds after getting it out of the box. I can’t believe how amazing this is for something so small and cheap. I’ve had cheap Bluetooth speakers before and they’ve never been like this.

To compare, I have an apple HomePod in another room (which cost me over 200) but I wanted something with less heavy bass for another room and didn’t want to shell out a fortune so I took a risk on this one and I am so glad I did.

Currently cycling through all my favourite songs and they all sound great. If the HomePod sound quality is a 10/10, this is a 7.5/10. If you want heavy bass, this isn’t it, but the bass is great and balanced if you want something for background music while doing other things.

Oh man… very pleasantly surprised by this mini boom box!

I already owned the slightly larger Anker Soundcore Boost which I am hugely impressed by, however it can be slightly large to accompany me on my travels. To this end, I looked through the rest of Anker’s range to see what they could offer.
Upon turning on the device for the first time, I was greeted by the same intro tone as my other speaker except the quality was very muffled. As a precursor for what was surely to come, I got the packaging ready for the speaker to be sent back. With that said, I put on a couple of songs to test the capability of the speaker and (thankfully) the muffled intro tone was not indicative of the overall sound quality. It sounds just like a smaller version of the Soundcore Boost – which is to say wonderful! The sound is very balanced and the kick of bass is very impressive for such a tiny unit.
I can’t fault the connectivity of the device, I can get decent range before cutouts. And the battery life also cannot be underestimated – mine has survived over 10 hours before needing more juice.

Anker products have always served me well to date, and they are top of the list when looking for tech accessory purchases!

I’ve wanted one of these for ages but didn’t buy because I have several Bluetooth speakers that we use for different things and didn’t feel I could justify another one. But then Amazon had a sale and I finally bought it for just over 16. Wow! Is it good? Yes it’s excellent. The sound is rich, clear, just the right amount of bass and it projects out at 360 degrees all around the room.

The build quality is very high. The design is very practical and thoughtful with volume buttons on the side that are easily operated. The base is a rubber material that doesn’t slip or slide on a polished wooden surface. It has a comforting weight about it without being too heavy.

It comes packed in a quality Anker box and would make a great present for a family member or friend. If someone gave you a new one you would be impressed.

I have paired it to my Sony XZ1 which has quite advanced sound abilities Bluetooth wise and I am very pleased with it.

This is the second “Mini” I’ve purchased. The first was “renewed” and the s.d. card function didn’t work. It was returned. The seller tried to help and concluded it was faulty.
Giving them another chance, I purchesed a new speaker.
    This one works perfectly.
Bluetooth connects quickly and is stable. Radio tunes in and finds stations reliably. The s.d. card reader does work using a 32GB Transcend card with MP3 music installed. Aux. in, no problems with a connected MP3 player.
Sounds good too in spite of it’s small size. Good level of volume with no distortion.

This is great mini bluetooth speaker. The sound is good and there is plenty of bass. Music and voice is crisp. Playing music files from the card works well too, although the navigation is limited.

The battery life is excellent at 24hrs and the charge time is reasonable at 3hrs. It can be used whilst it is charging.

I tried pairing with Windows7/10 PCs, a tablet, a smartphone and an audio bluetooth transmitter without any issues.

WARNING: The limitations of the bluetooth profile/codec it uses, means that if you try to play a movie or watch TV, the sound lags any picture by about 150mS. This is not a fault with the speaker. Some sources may be able to delay the picture to match/lip sync, but most don’t.

Wow! This is a great speaker. I purchased it for my 6 year old as she was desperate for something to connect to her Ipad so she could dance around. I had considered a few options and then this popped up whilst looking on Amazon. Reviews were solid and it was a great price. When it arrived I unwrapped it quickly and was impressed by the petite size (2/3 of a Coke Can). I was thinking this is just going to be really poor! Connecting it to the Ipad was easy, just so easy. Straight on You Tube picked up the latest Now album and expected the worst. Boom!! The sound quality was really great a nice room filler, with clarity. Volume control and pause/play button worked perfectly. We have a Bose Bluetooth speaker in the kitchen where I conducted my test my wife asked if I had connected the Ipad to that instead of the little speaker. She was surprised by the quality of the sound too. My daughter loves the speaker and the easy operation ideal for a kid. She can put it in her back pack and take it anywhere which she loves. Just to clarify the sound point: This is a very robust little Bluetooth speaker that will impress. But it does not have the same deep base sound of an expensive Bluetooth speaker! I think this is the ideal thing if you need a kitchen, holiday or for a little person to enjoy speaker.

    Pros and Cons below

What a little speaker!! Bought as Christmas gift for someone who had been asking for one for some time, ANKER had to be the brand of choice. As you can see from the photos and video it emits a great sound all for being half the length of a biro pen! So 6 months in and the battery has no issues. Lasts a very long time on a single charge. Can be thrown into a bag and taken on the go. There are buttons on the device for volume, on/off, port for a micro SD card, 3.5mm jack, mode button and toggle switch. Just throw this thin in a bag and you are good to go. You can long press the + and – button to skip or go back a song.

    Pros:
    + Great sound quality
+ Just look at the size of it- so portable
+ Has a weighted feel to it, very robust
    + High quality speaker grill
+ Soft base so it cant slide on a desk
+ Comes with charging cable and very user friendly manual
+ Every possible output, Bluetooth, Micro SD Card, 3.5mm jack
+ Connects to phones, laptops, cameras, PCs – basically if you have any of the connectivity options in the pint above, you can connect to this speaker
+ Buttons have a high quality press to them

    Cons:
    – Bluetooth connectivity – while it connects to phones very well and plays songs perfectly, if you are trying to watch a video, there is some delay in the audio which results in the video being out of sync which makes it a night mare for movies. Shame as if your primary speaker is currently a laptop or a phone as this would have been an upgrade, can always use the 3.5mm jack
    – Would have been great if a small carry case was included
    – Micro USB Type-B charging port, would have been great if it were Type-C
    – Needs designated skip/previous song buttons. Holding down the +/- just takes those few seconds too long
    – Small LCD screen would have been great for time or track length

Probably the best speaker under £25 money can buy

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersI bought this to add a voice (or more voice) to portable amateur radios that have no speaker in the case of the MTR 3B, or a poor speaker in the case of the Elecraft KX3. I was attracted to the weight which was advertised as lighter than the more robust hiking version. The increased battery life may also be useful. The included manual gives the weight as higher, somewhere just over 200g. This is better from a music reproduction point of view, but loses that advantage. The radios are not waterproof so, while the more rugged hiking unit may have been better, I don’t expect to get this wet.

It performs very well with the MTR 3B. The 3B’s narrow band Morse reception is well reproduced and loud.

SSB reception with the KX3 was initially disappointing with the received urban noise sounding more like something from a sci-fi background. I was able to adjust the radio’s equaliser to tame it, and later found I was able to use it well with the equaliser reset depending on conditions. For Morse it really needs the bass cut on the KX3. I think the Sound-Core is trying to be “Big Bass” which just muddies those signals. The KX3’s speaker rattles at high volume, which the Sound-Core doesn’t. With adjustment to the KX3’s settings I’ve managed to get a good increase in workable volume out of the Sound-Core. The KX3 doesn’t seem to want to give a good Morse side-tone signal into it for some reason (I’ve asked Elecraft support for advice on this).

It’s worth testing a device like this for music with the mobile phone. It can’t compete with a full size hi-fi of course (so those saying “Amazing sound quality” are missing out), but it can provide a bit richer sound than the mobile phone’s internal speaker will.

It is nice with the Samsung S7 that the Bluetooth volume control affects the speaker’s own volume, rather than affecting just the Bluetooth send volume which then passes through a second volume control. The Sound-Core will also report battery level on the phone screen on connection. It can provide background music in a room. Bluetooth range is also impressive.

Heavier than advertised! Good sound for size music, good CW, average SSB once bass EQed ou

I’ve had the soundcore, original round one for a month now and the battery has only just run out, amazing. It’s been in my garage most of time used about 2 hours a day and also on the dashboard of my classic car connected to my phone by Bluetooth playing internet radio via 3G or 4G. Plenty of volume and fine up to about 55mph with hood down but on busy roads over 50mph noise of traffic overwhelms it, but that would be the same with any speaker.
I have put an SD card in it with a selection of about 250 of my favourite tracks and just let it play. FM radio is also good in garage and garden with supplied usb cable as aerial. You have to scroll through stations and there is no indication which one is playing but I usually listen to same station anyway and when one is selected it returns to same one next time switched on. Same with sd card, carries on from where it left off. I did try using the aux input and thought volume was a bit low but could have been my cable, never going to use aux anyway as too many other options.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersOk so needed a Bluetooth speaker for the holidays, and whilst my heart Shouted “Bose!!!” my wallet said “you’ll use it once and it will never see the light of day again”. So ok lets be sensible about this.
So you couldn’t hide my disappointment when it arrived and its about the size of a small Apple 🙁 Ok, lets continue anyway. Do we need the instructions, nope im a Man!!!!! On button found, Bluetooth on my phone switched on, Speaker found instantly and connection made. Thats a good start. So i’ll just go to my Amazon Music app and try it for sound. OMG!!!!!! How can I be getting sound this good from a such a tiny “Pod”. Seriously, not only is it a quality playback, there is Bass in there too!!!! Seriously!!!! Ok wait there’s more, its a FM Radio too, no danger!!!! Quick check of the instructions(man card revocation!!!!), push the button and I can hear it finding stations, station selected, brilliant!!!! (insert Jimmy Cricket accent) Theres More, you can even add a Micro SD card too!!!!! So I dont have to waste phone battery???? Good grief. Seriously whats not to love about this speaker, for this money anyone leaving poor reviews is just darned persnickety!!!
Dont sit here reading any more reviews, just get it bought, I cant see a single down side too this.

A few years ago I purchased a Bose Soundlink Mini for 130. Recently, I purchased this Anker Soundcore Mini for my mum.
Even though I’d read dozens of positive reviews, I was sceptical about the sound quality and expected it to be poor. However, the sound quality was great. I’m no audiophile, but I can’t tell much difference between my Bose Soundlink Mini and the Anker Soundcore.
It’s easy to set-up/pair with Bluetooth, but there is an aux lead input if you want to use a non-Bluetooth capable device such as an iPod Classic. There’s also a micoSD slot to play music directly from the speaker, though I haven’t used this yet.
I purchased the silver speaker which looks really good (much better than my Bose Soundlink Mini) and being a bit smaller than a coffee mug, it sits comfortably anywhere.
    Definitely a 5-star product!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis bluetooth speaker is incredible! Small and compact which makes it really travel friendly, but produces a pretty nice sound considering the price and the volume can get quite loud. It arrived really quickly in the post, and the majority of the packaging is a really well designed cardboard package that can be recycled. It’s really easy to set up bluetooth connectivity, and the battery life is pretty good and charges up quite quickly.

Around a few weeks ago, the bluetooth speaker stopped being able to charge up (I changed the wire, the charging port, and charged it overnight with no success). So, I contacted Anker’s Customer Support. They replied really quickly and were incredibly helpful and understanding. After sending them a copy of my order confirmation, they immediately sent another replacement bluetooth speaker. Will definitely be buying more products from this company in the future.

This speaker has exceeded my expectations in almost every way. When it arrived I was surprised at how small it was. I thought it would sound rubbish but how wrong I was. It has a surprising amount of bass and goes quite loud. The battery life if good so overall I’m really pleased with the speaker.

Just as important as my opinion of the speaker is my opinion of the company. I have NEVER experienced such fantastic customer service. I’ve actually dealt with them a few years before with a phone case, which is why I trust Anker completely. This speaker would sometimes disconnect from the phone’s Bluetooth requiring me to turn it off and on again. I contacted customer service and was dealt with by Cherry who was brilliant. I received a replacement speaker which is working fine. Rest assured that buying anything from Anker is a safe bet. They are the first brand I look for when sourcing anything tech related. 10/10

I purchased this for one simple job to connect to my phone so that I can get the TomTom app to play through the speaker. It does this fine although I will find out more in the coming days. The speaker is incredibly small and very well built and charges fine. The FM radio is a fiddle though seeking numerous stations but then giving you no indication of which one you are listening to, the volume on this (not on Bluetooth) always defaults to Maximum which is a shock when you first turn it on. The sound quality is good and very loud in many ways I wish I had bought the stereo waterproof pair even though they are 70 as I can only think they would be ace. A very good buy missing out on 5 stars only for the radio.

Certainly packs a sound punch for such a small speaker! It’s neat and stylish in appearance but it’s solid without being heavy, easily carried in a pocket or bag etc. and seems very well made, has a volume control, a 3.5mm auxilary port and SD card slot and comes with micro USB charging lead. The sound is excellent with a very good bass line. I found nothing tinny or shrill about it and there was no hiss or annoying operating noises which really bug me. It connected almost immediately to the other bluetooth (Ipod) and the controls are simple and easy to use. A really very good value item from a reliable company (have bought other Anker items). Recommended.

Out of the box, I was very impressed by the solid high quality build. I run it from my iPhone and from my PC direct or through a Dragonfly DAC – either way the sound is surprisingly good for a small speaker. I can connect via a 3.5mm jacks or Bluetooth. Both worked straight away and easily. Jacks give better quality – that’s a Bluetooth thing rather than a speaker issue. The battery charge lasts a decent time.
It is now a constant travelling companion – much better to listen to than PC built-in speakers or earbuds.

Looked at a lot of reviews before buying this. The 5W output was a consideration and I am happy in that respect.
I have only given 4 stars for portability but that should be weighed up against the fact that we live in an old house with thick stone walls. It still coped pretty well! Most people living in a modern house will have no problems with connectivity. The sound is superb. The speaker itself is small, portable and easy to use. I feel the extra 10 for a decent device was well spent.

I’d be looking for a small portable speaker to travel with for a while. There are cheaper alternatives on the market, but being a fan of Anker products I’m glad I spent a little extra for this speaker.
As with most Anker products it’s really well packaged, well designed and good quality. I’d be happy to give this as a gift, something I’m not sure I’d say about cheaper alternatives.
Once charged this little speaker really packs a punch. It connects to Bluetooth quickly and easily and the sound quality is excellent, particularly for a speaker of this size.
After I bought this I’ve taken it away three times, still working on the original charge with no sign of any deterioration in volume or sound quality.
I’d highly recommend this speaker, it’s worth every penny and I’ll be using this for years to come.

I use the speaker in my car to listen to podcasts and digital radio stations as my radio has no headphone jack or Bluetooth. The sound is clear but sometimes content gets lost in the background noise travelling along small A roads and country lanes. (Rival speakers may be equally limited, due to the need to fit a a battery in a compact device.) This may also be due to the output levels from my Samsung phone.

The battery lasts well (so far). I listen for about 1.5 hours on work days and am charging it weekly.

Annoyingly (but sensibly too) it has an undocumented sleep feature to save battery. However, this means you need to turn it off and on briefly to reestablish the connection when returning to the car at the end of the day. Once driving, this is not very easy as the switch and controls are not very tactile so you are tempted to look at what you are doing rather than at the road.

I’ve owned this speaker for a couple of years and it’s been a brilliant device for me. For the size the sound is first class with good but not overpowering bass, good mids & highs. I use it mainly in my car and it sits in my cupholder and I only need it on half volume as it’s so loud.

I just a few days ago purchased the similarly shaped but far more expensive Sony XB10 speaker. When it arrived I compared the sound quality against my Soundcore Mini and the Sony speaker is vastly inferior and remember that one currently costs 15 more than this speaker.

If you want a great sounding canister shaped speaker get this Anker one as it outperforms any similar sized speaker I’ve heard and it’s much cheaper than most.

It’s just sooo good, I can not for the life of me get over how something so small sounds so good. It has nice bass and treble and fills a room with perfect sounds. I use it for work to listen to podcasts and listen to music with the collegues during the night shifts. And it really helps. Infact it’s sooo good everyone at work has one haha.

The quailty is great too feels premium and not flimsy at all. Has rubber under the speaker so when you place it on the table it’s stays firm and does not move at all.

I would highly recommend this product from Anker to anyone. I have a power bank from them as well. They make great products. This is not a sponsered review I am a normal person who never reviews anything, but I’m so impressed by the quailty of Anker products

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this so that I could listen to music on my laptop in another room where the wi-fi doesn’t reach too well and also to improve the tinny sound of my laptop. I have only used the speaker once so far, having only received it at the weekend, but I was amazed both at how easy it was to set up and the sound quality. I was too impatient to try it out to wait for the battery to fully charge, so I can’t say too much about the battery life but I have given it five stars in the expectation that it will live up to the rest of the speaker’s qualities. If that turns out to be the case then I am very happy to recommend this speaker and I am very pleased with the purchase. Its is tiny, solid and looks good too.

A really tiny bit of quality. Solid construction, the metal body adds a real quality feel. Easy to use, turn it on and it looks to pair. Find it on the phone and away you go. Play some music and the sound is brilliant from such a small bit of kit.

It’s never going to fill up a large room with party sound but in an average kitchen/office/bedroom, the volume is fine. While a small device like this is never going to give you banging thumping bass, it does really well with a nice solid bottom end sound. Overall the sound quality is clean and remains undistorted even at max volume.

Other features, the radio works well, remember, plug the cable in as an antenna. The SD card feature is nice to have but in both cases you are flying blind, no display means no navigation. So its pretty much pot luck. The line input is a nice touch.

This is the second one I have purchased.
The first one is still going strong 2 years later but I use that for playing relaxing meditation music for my dogs when I have to go out and leave them. I find them still fast asleep on y return hours later.
I have been sleeping badly so I thought I should also try one but at night I recharge the dog’s one so bit the bullet and bought my own. Once again it has been a success as I had a great night’s sleep listening to sleep music on my iPod.

    BUT
If you pause the music to answer phone etc, it turns off after a few minutes.
To turn it back on, one has to walk over to it, search for the on off switch (which is not easy in low light), turn it off, and turn it on again.
It annoyed me so much I bought an Anker soundcore, which doesn’t suffer from this problem.
As good as it is, if you have to buy another to cure a problem, then the product is no good.

My wife runs a weight-loss club in a large hall and it lacks any ambience so we decided a bit of background muzak might be just the ticket. But we have enough stuff to light back and forth each evening that even a small ghetto blaster and CDs would be too much. A small Bluetooth speaker and some light jazz on a phone seemed ideal. Big surprise therefore to find out how deep and rich and loud this little device is. How do they do it for this price? Not only that, but it feels sturdy, pairing was simple, the controls are good and the claimed battery life is incredible. And to cap it all, reading the manual reveals it can switch from wireless to wired to micro SD card to FM radio at the touch of a button.

Nothing to dislike about the product. Small, compact and has a tremendous sound. Bluetooth worked seamlessly with both iPhone and radio. Charging cable supplied in the perfectly wrapped and rapid delivery. There are more expensive versions but this really does suit me – plays at a loud volume with no distortion. It comes with a fitted nonslip base and also a double sided adhesive pad if required. You won’t regret ordering one – we dont travel extensively so we never bothered with a case for it. The only criticism that I have are that the instructions are in very small print and even with my glasses on it was difficult to read. You can probably obtain a larger size from the website of Anker. A wonderful product!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt’s a small, fairly cheap speaker so I didn’t expect great sounds, despite some rave reviews. It doesn’t “fill the room with sound” (unless it’s a very small room) but for the price and size the sound is pretty good and the volume adequate.

I bought it to play mostly speech podcasts in my car on my commute to work, and it’s easily up to that task – plenty loud enough and good clear speech. I commute maybe seven hours a week plus a few other local journeys, and it usually lasts the week before it needs charging.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI had Speaker envy at Christmas when my brother was given one of these! I ordered yesterday on my return home. He had the black version, I ordered the Pink Gold. I think there is also a Gold option. It arrived earlier today – already my new bestie!

Quick to get going, just switch on, hook up on Bluetooth from phone or tablet, play music! Hooked up to my iTunes library, Spotify, and to FM radio (via an App), & to Siri for voice control. There’s also an Aux in mode. It comes with a little USB cable, so super easy charging. Controls are easy squeezy, but there is a little instruction guide.

Super looking, immaculate finish, great depth of sound for a little cylinder which is a couple of inches wide, not much more high. Feels substantial & good quality, perfect value for money. I’d be more than happy to gift to friends & family. Next years’ birthdays – sorted.

    Super delighted

Someone on another review called this a reverse engineering of alien-technology. I’ve had this for a few months now, and I’m very much inclined to agree.
The speaker is tiny. About the palm of your hand, and compact enough to easily put at the bottom of your bag. It’s definitely carry anywhere. I’ve used this primarily as a simple audio solution for my room though, with music supplied over Bluetooth, from Spotify.
It’s loud. Unbelievably loud, even. It can easily fill a decently sized living room, and nobody would even see a speaker! It’s quality sound too. I enjoy that it’s bass heavy, but it handles music from any genre really well, be it acoustic, EDM or choirs. I’m sure there’s better speakers, but I’d be surprised if they’re the same price as this. It’s really impressive what they’ve managed to put into this device.
It’s fast, reliable and easy to connect. It connects and pairs to my device instantly and retains that connection. I can usually travel from one end of my house to another before it disconnects.
It lasts for ages. I usually get about 7 hours of continous playback, and I hook it on the charger overnight and it’s ready to go the next day. Never had any problems with battery.
I paid 21 for this, and this easily takes on much more expensive speakers from “bigger” brands, that usually go for around 100? As a bit of an audio-geek myself (where $$=better, more often than not), I don’t actually see why you’d want to spend that much! Anker customer service is wonderful, and the quality of their products, as always, is brilliant. This tiny thing is really well put together, quite dense and has put up with more than a few falls. Not a scratch on it.
Overall, I am very, very happy with this device. It’s a bargain at this price, for what you’re getting. If you’re considering it, go for it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought two of these to use with my Echo Dots. Setup and Bluetooth pairing was easy. Sound quality is good for the size.

But these speakers switch themselves off if there’s no sound after 10 minutes. That means you have to switch them on every single time you want to use them.

    Additional.
Maker offered to replace this speaker with their Mini 2. This keeps alive even if there is no sound playing through it. Which makes it perfect for use with an Echo Dot. It has the added advantage of being waterproof.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this speaker October 2018 and I was so happy with it. Last month it wouldnt connect to devices and wouldnt work at all off the charger.

Knowing it came with 18 months warranty I made contact with customer support. And I told them of the faults I was having. They got back to me very quickly every time I made contact.
They gave me instructions to troubleshoot the speaker and see if the faults would rectify themselves. They told me to get back in contact with my findings. Unfortunately after troubleshooting it didnt work correctly.
I made contact again to tell customer support and right away they sent out a replacement speaker. They didn’t even ask me to post the faulty speaker back. The new speaker is going great and I’m delighted with it.
Cherry in customer service dealt with me throughout the whole thing and she was very clear and quick in her responses.

I definitely will be sticking to buying from anker. Superb customer service.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersLikes: the sound, the shape, the stylish minimalist design, the ease of use. This thing belt out music like crazy and the bass is just right. The Anker customer service was also excellent.

Dislikes: no loop to hang it securely onto anything, which many other brands have. I got round this by attaching a piece of U shaped wire to the machine with black gaffer tape. I was then able to hang it up.

Dislikes: impossible to operate the + and – buttons (volume and skip) whilst wearing gloves. Most people wear gloves whilst out walking or cycling in the winter and it’s irritating having to stop and remove one glove every time you want to turn the volume down or skip a track.

For these two things I have dropped 1 star from my rating.

After ten weeks mine refused to charge, so I contacted Anker and they asked for all the details and then sent me a replacement. Hence being able to comment on the customer service.

Golden Review Award: 763 From Our UsersThis was recommended to me by a friend and with it being reduced to 16 I thought I would give it a go. I unboxed it to find that it was considerably smaller than I expected. The build is beautiful and of such high quality, I was very surprised. I connected my phone to it (amazingly simple) and was literally blown away by the sound quality. Heavy in base and no distortion, this tiny speaker fills my living room superbly. Having a Samsung Bluetooth speaker retailing at 100, this little Anker knocks it into a cocked hat. I cannot recommended this speaker enough. Awesome!

    Genuinely unbelievable!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this as a cheap and cheerful road trip music option for my ancient car. Didn’t expect much for the price… and both me and my mates were seriously impressed.

First off, this thing is a breeze to set up. Takes less than a minute on first setup and then instantly recognised by your phone when on.

Secondly, the battery life is epic. This thing lasted a few days of regular use.

Thirdly, and most importantly, the sound quality is seriously impressive. Crisp sound, deep bass and surprising volume for such a tiny device. I was happy with it in my car’s cup holder, but on a whim we placed it on the dashboard and realised that a huge amount of volume and bass was being muffled – this thing is unbelievably loud and cuts through road noise and conversation.

At the price, you’re getting a beefy speaker that fits in a cupholder and costs less than I used to pay for a cd album. Cracking bit of kit.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThe SoundCore mini is about 1/3 the length of the JBL Flip 3, and the same diameter. Easy to hold in the palm, stable when set down, sticks well to dashboard anti-slip pads. Fits nicely in a auto cup holder. Solid but not too heavy. Aluminium construction sides and top. Attractive design (I have the gold).

The sound is excellent. While it has less bass than many ‘larger’ BT devices, such as the Flip 3, or Samsung Level, it has excellent mid-tone reproduction, better than either of the former. When I first heard it it did sound a bit off, but I compared it around to my other BT Speaker devices, and while most simulated more bass, it was at the expense of the mid-tones. It is the best net performer of my half-dozen under 100 devices. For most music, the SoundCore mini is a better play, unless you are going to invest a couple of hundred into your device, and not 20. It is a little less successful than the others at top volume, but distortion is just noticeable, I believe because it is not suppressing the mid-tones, or as in the case of the Samsung Level, limiting the volume. It is far better than the others for audio phone conferences and playing spoken podcasts.

I have’t tested the play time to exhaustion, but it well exceeds the JBL Flip 3, and is even with the Samsung Level, about 12 hours at 0.75 volume. I wouldn’t be surprised if it achieves 15 hours at half volume (which is still loud).

It does not claim to be ‘splash proof’, nor from examining the opening in the side for microphone, power or sd card, would I expect it to be. It does have an actual on-off switch, and a mode switch, for external sources and the inbuilt-FM radio. You can force it into discovery mode by holding the mode switch down for a couple of seconds.

All in all I am delighted with the SoundCore Mini.

Golden Review Award: 344 From Our UsersThis a genuine review. I was away on holiday and needed some music, so ordered this as a cheap speaker. I have now bought two. OK – here is the bottom line

    Price -its really very cheap.
Quality – comes in a range of colours, nice packaging, and professional.
    Looks really nice.
Connection is absolutely the easiest and quickest ever.
The speaker also contains a FM radio which works (not too brilliantly, but why not) using the charging lead as an ariel. But it does work.
Range – perfectly good -10-15 metres easily.
Battery life – very good – hours with no problem, recharge quick and effective.
Sound quality -frankly spectacular -for the size and price, it can fill a normal room with really good quality, and quite decent bass for a small unit. Hold it in your hand, and you just think “it’s a flaming music miracle”.
I do not know whether there is anyway of linking two or three of these together – probably not – but if Anker could develop that, then it would literally kick the pants off a SONOS system (of which I have three, and I love ).

I just decided to write this review because sometimes, occasionally, someone develops a piece of technology which absolutely knock the spots of everything at a price which makes Apple, Samsung and Bose look really over priced, and rather lazy brand. .

Buy one. Buy them as Stocking fillers for Christmas (me please!). My nine year old said it was “incredible”. He’s right.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI currently own one of their PowerLine II Cables for my iPhone, and it sells, I have a strong passion for companies like Anker, who sell products and mean every word. I’m a happy customer to their cables, and wanted a small speaker to use for at work, I work in kitchen in a resturant and wanted to be able to play music while working, the product is a 10/10, super little beast of a speaker and really impressive on it’s portability, connectivity, durability and sound quality. For a little speaker it goes big and it delivers, I’m a smoker and our smoking area is far away obviously from the kitchenbajd customer areas, and we can hear it through a series of doors, and when we’re a good 5 metres away from the kitchen out the back door of the building. and It certainly also delivers on battery life, I’ve had it playing throughout my whole shift, from 11am-10pm and it made it through the whole shift. I was really impressive and amazed, but this is Anker, a company who I know are passionate about their products, which most all come with 18 month warranty and a lifetime of customer support. They want you to have the best! So why don’t you get the best? Forget those cheap Bluetooth speakers from Tesco, Sainsburys or Argos, and invest in a Brand who delivers word by word.

This is a lovely little speaker. I use an Amazon Fire tablet a lot, watching video and listening to audio books and even with other mini speakers the volume is often low especially on audio books and I need the speaker very close to me. With this speaker the volume is much better and I can also take the speaker all over the house and even into the garden while listening, leaving the tablet behind. The sound quality is also good enough for music which has not been the case with my other mini speakers.
I hesitated before buying as I have limited IT skills and have never used Bluetooth but it was simple to set up and took me about three minutes! And the rose gold colour matches my Fire cover!
If anyone is wondering whether to buy I would go for it!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIN SHORT: My company bought 2 for a project and after messing around with them for a day, i went home and ordered 4. The speaker quality is amazing and the level it can get too before sounding tinny is really loud. The Quality of the speakers for the price is amazing, really glad I could get my hands on some. Defo worth trying, but BE WARNED you might want to buy another 😀

MORE INFORMATION: The speakers are really nice to the touch and don’t stick out when placed on a table, Since they follow a slick smooth design. The quality is really clear, much better then other more expensive speakers i’ve bought, There also really easy to pair to a phone and even pair more then 1 device to the device. Buying 4 you could even create a surround sound system that would be great. These speakers definitly dont dissapoint so I greatly advise getting one.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersHi Everyone 🙂 I have just started to use this speaker like 2 weeks ago and I can say. It is very good quality! I am really satisfied with the sound and everything with it. I had a bit of problem actually because I wanted to connect it to my sister’s laptop and it did not work at all. I started to look for a solution and I asked help from the Anker customer sercive team and they really tried their best to help me solve the problem with that laptop actually the issue is with the laptop because its not install the driver or staff like that it says and its not the Anker speakers fault. And they were such a good help via the almost 10 emails while they tried to find the solution! Finally I agreed with them that if i buy a cable i just can connect them via wire instead of the bluetooth. And one more time all the other phones and laptop is working good with the speaker just only that laptop was a headache xD
Buy it bravely !!! I really strongly recommend!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersVery surprised at how small this speaker is. You can see in the photo that it’s smaller than a glass of juice – about the size of a small can of sweetcorn. But – the sound is great. Not room-filling, or ‘party-loud’; but for listening to music as you work, or to an audiobook in the bedroom – perfect. I’d have liked a mains charger rather than a usb cable, but there is a socket for a wall plug and they shouldn’t be too hard to find.
Great for travel – will slip into a case or rucksack very neatly and hardly weighs anything
    Money well spent!

    Size isn't everything

I bought this to take on holiday. I also have a SoundCore which is good too, but a little heavy to be portable. Nice and light and bought a nice hard case for the speaker. The colour is lovely -Was deciding between this and the pink or silver but glad I went for the gold as it looks really nice. Not garish at all. The sound is pretty good for such a small speaker, but it was initially difficult to pair up the phones with it. Much easier with the SoundCore I have to say. No idea how to work the radio part as the instructions are not clear, but from the questions seen, I will have to connect a cable? All in all a pretty good speaker for the price.

Golden Review Award: 179 From Our UsersBought this so we could play music out in the garden without having to move a surround sound speaker over to the window. But I didn’t have any music on my mobile phone so paired it with my TV to try it and while we were watching a TV program, it seemed like the sound was barely audible. But then we noticed that the volume control on the Virgin Smart Remote was now controlling the SoundCore Mini and when we turned that up, we found the sound was plenty load enough for our likes. Then we played a couple of Radio Stations through it and the sound was MORE than loud enough. Next we chose my USB drive as the input or source and boy, did my music sound good through the SoundCore Mini! And I’m a bit of an audiophile who hates poor sound systems!

My good god – this is such an amazing piece of kit for the price! Mainly bought it to play music off phone/iPad and after the reviews decided to go with this one. I really wasn’t expecting it to be so well made – packaging, performance and product just seem much more expensive. The sound is incredible for the size and price.

I went for the gold as I have a power bank in a similar colour. The picture really doesn’t do it justice, it’s a more champagne than gold, and the buttons and base are a rubber finish. Super easy to connect to Iphone, you really can’t go wrong! If you are thinking about buying it, just go for it!

Golden Review Award: 102 From Our UsersCannot find enough good words to say about this little speaker…it’s just amazing for it’s size and price. The build quality is just great and it’s compact and light enough to take anywhere although has enough weight and solidity to allow for some impressive sound handling for something so small. It handles bass amazingly well with a really crisp and full, dynamic sound through the range although as ever with something this size it has it’s limitations but is a seriously impressive piece of kit. I was so impressed I bought another along with a dual splitter cable (left and right channel) to make a stereo for the laptop which I run through a basic free EQ and it blows me away each time I listen to it, in fact it’s become my main source of listening right now knocking the Bose mini into touch and rendering it now completely useless as it just cannot compete with the quality of sound. Ok, the setup isn’t as convenient but for under 40 for the two there is absolutely no competition.
    Amazing and cannot recommend enough!!

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersThis bluetooth speaker is brilliant. I’m becoming a big fan of Anker products and this is no exception, the sound quality is great and loud enough for me. I have recommended this to my father who has the Bose Soundlink Mini Bluetooth Speaker but says it is too large and heavy to carry about easily, he bought one of these too and says the quality is great and it is better to use whilst travelling about.

Golden Review Award: 58 From Our UsersWell it arrived well packaged and charged so good start.
Cracking little speaker with great tones.
Love the Matt black aluminium shell and speaker…No finger marks! Has a rubber base which holds it firm to the surface…so no bouncing off surfaces…cool.
Bluetooth is instant and very reliable…No issues so far.
Had a bit of an issue with FM radio but realised once you’ve got it switched on and you get the “hiss” press the > (play button) between the – & + volume buttons and allow it a minute to search and find stations…after that you can then flick and select the station you want… Plus once that’s done again the reception is very good…but you must have the charge cable in to act as its antenna.
The card reader is a great touch, but I would do a playlist first as it’s a bit tedious trying to find tracks with a single flick up and down.
Very pleased with it overall and you get a lot for your money.
    Highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI am very impressed with this speaker. Even though I have worn hearing aids for years I have still not been able to hear the radio or television clearly. I had virtually given up watching plays and films. When my son suggested a Bluetooth Speaker I was doubtful that this could solve my problem but after reading the reviews for the Anker SoundCore mini I thought all these people cannot be wrong so I sent for one and the difference is absolutely amazing. The quality of sound is perfect for me and the tone just right and I am really enjoying watching TV again and of course listening to the radio. The Speaker is neat unobtrusive and surprisingly small. It sits on the side table next to me and was very easy to set up .A bonus is that the setting I find perfect for me is just the right sound for others in the room. I love it!

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI love this, it is so easy to use. An on/off button is all it requires, it syncs so quickly with your phone via bluetooth. Then you play whatever you want from your phone and you can turn the volume up using your phone or the volume button on the speaker. The sound is clear and the volume levels are good. It is easy enough to be carried around wherever you want to go. I even hooked it up with my iPod touch for music in the house and even took it to a car boot sale to liven our stall up with some epic tunes. I love rose gold too (not everyone does) and the colour is brilliant, perfect to match my phone and iPod. However there are other colour options if you are not a fan and they all look very smart.

Very happy and would highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 496 From Our UsersWhen this arrived it was beautifully packaged but the actual speaker is tiny. I thought, this isn’t going to sound any good – it can’t possibly. Then I connected my iPhone via bluetooth, pressed play and nearly fainted. It really is a fantastic sound, so much more than I expected. The volume it can reach for such a small speaker is crazy! I had a similar speaker years ago and never used it because it was tinny sounding. This beauty has volume, bass and clarity like a much more expensive speaker. Anker must have used reversed engineered alien technology because it really shouldn’t sound so good.

Anker are my new favourite company and I’d recommend this to anyone. The sound will easily fill a room and the size makes it as portable as they come. Not to mention the battery playing time, FM radio, SIRI access and more. OUTSTANDING piece of kit.

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersI was looking for a small portable speaker to use with a tablet and netbook to improve my enjoyment of Amazon Prime music membership while at home and away. Swayed by the positive reviews, I decided to give the Anker SoundCore mini a try never expecting to be so wowed by it. It was so easy to set up and works perfectly with both tablet and netbook. My netbook doesn’t have Bluetooth but I had an old Bluetooth adapter left behind from a previous old pc, plugged it in and it worked straightaway. The sound from such a small speaker is amazing even at full volume – words and sounds/instruments are really clear. Being able to move it around the house and garden so easily is brilliant – music wherever I go. So glad I decided to buy this little wonder – the radio and SD card features are cherries on the cake. Not being able to programme the disk isn’t a problem for me as I like to listen to my CDs from start to end. Praise to Anker for packing so many features into this little speaker and for it’s great sound – transforms the quality from both tablet and netbook. If you are undecided, give it a try, you won’t be disappointed or sending it back. Best 16.99 I have spent in a long time and it arrived super quickly.

I have dozens of Bluetooth speakers at various price ranges (little bit tech obsessed). But this little Anker is now my go-to-speaker out of even my more expensive and bigger models. It’s so small (half the size of say a can of coke) and yet sounds like something much bigger! Family and friends who’ve seen and heard this have been straight on Amazon to buy one.
