Need to wire a room to the router. This cable is thin that it goes under carpet and can’t be felt. Good distance. End connections are thicker that standard ethernet so had to make holes in wall larger, but worth it.

I needed this cable to go around one side of room to connect to my computer for zoom moves fitness, as zoom froze constantly on the wireless setting. I wanted a cable which could be placed on a solid wood floor in my home around the edges of the room and not look like an office. This cable is flat and is easy to trace around the edge of a room. I am very very impressed with this cable. The braided cable, the overall build quality, its flexibility, and the robustness of the plugs, and that it is flat. This is really all very helpful. All really impressive. This is top quality. I have been replacing all my Ethernet cables, of the older round plastic variety, as they are inflexible and have poorer specifications. These higher category ones are so much better. Definitely worth the money as you can position them much more easily than the older type.
Positioning the cable is so satisfactory, and this is because of its flat and braided build. This makes it excellent.

This is the second cable from Snowkids that we have been fortunate enough to try (the first was a USB C to HDMI Cable), and it’s good to see that the quality appears to be consistently high throughout their range of cables. The cable assembly is well built, the nylon braiding appears to be quite durable, but it’s still reasonably flexible, with both the male plugs fitting snugly with a positive ‘click’, without the use of any excessive force, and without any slackness apparent when fitted.
A price of 8.99 for the 2 metre version is very good value for money, especially when weighing up the cost, the overall quality of the cable, and the performance. Highly recommended.

Sometimes you just can’t hide cables down the back or sides of furniture and they have to stay on show so it’s good to get a cable as good-looking as this Snowkids Cat-7 Flat Braided Cable. The flat shape of the cable means it’s very flexible in one direction and quite rigid in the other, so you might have to twist and turn it a bit to take awkward corners. The connectors are chunkier than most but feel very sturdy and have an easy-release lock
The metallic-effect braiding has a two-tone look and gives the cable a bit of style that most don’t have, it’s got an abrasive feel though. My only negative comment would be that the braiding has a few loose threads that are visible if light hits the cable directly, making it look slightly fuzzy, but that’s a very minor point. Otherwise it’s just a stylish Ethernet cable that works well and looks good doing it.
My Ethernet cable upgrade continues with this one from Snowkids. I am going through a process of upgrading all the Ethernet cables in the house, which were at best Cat 5 and what with all the smart devices, Powerline routers, etc., it was time to do this. Now, I appreciate Cat 8 is a bit of an overkill, at least they are going to be relatively future proof.
This is a good quality, braided flat cable and, as such, should prove to be very durable — although it’s not going to under a huge amount of stress. The cable looks quite modern with the black & grey colouring, although most cables tend to be hidden.
Good quality connectors are key and these are well finished and gold plated — silver would have been better. They snap into place with a surety and with little left/right wobble. This one will eventually go on my new 4k TV when it arrives in a couples of weeks, as its flat profile will fit well into the cable concealer.
Although difficult to say there are improvements in speed, it does seem to handle to traffic better and we’ve no problems streaming 4k content.
I think it’s fairly priced at 7.19.

This cable is great. The braid on the cable is very nice and make the cable feel like a very quality item that is very durable. The metal connectors have a very solid fit into the ports and a reassuring click when inserted to let you know that the cable is seated and charging your device. Overall, I would highly recommend this cable as it is great value for money and is a very durable and high-quality cable for the price. The cable comes in a plain enough retail box, the brand is SNOWKIDS which I have not heard of before, BUT the cable is superb! The braided cord is chunky and feels very strong and it’s tightly wrapped around with 2 velcro straps. 2m is hard to believe when its wound as it so small, but it’s brilliant. Very compact and perfect for throwing in your laptop bag in case you need it. Overall I am very impressed and its great value for money!
This Ethernet cable is braided so it makes it extra protected from any females and on top of that it’s flat, so it’s it’s good as you can easily hide it behind furniture or in between monitors or other equipment.

Wifi is usually unreliable, especially for video-calls, streaming, 4k videos. So ethernet cable is a must for me. Every time I can, I use my laptop connected to an ethernet cable for speed and reliability.
This cable has it all, cat 7, shielded. So it has high speeds and won’t suffer from the interference of other devices such as power bricks and electrical motors. I tested in a professional cable tester and the shield is there.
On top of the quality of a good cable, it has the braided nylon on top of it, that adds style to it and take it away from the boring black ethernet cable.

I’ve given this cable 5 stars because it’s ideally suited for use with portable devices, from laptops to gaming PCs and consoles. At CAT-7 standard the cable supports the highest network speeds with the best shielding. The plugs are snagless and gold-plated with flexible moulded connections to the braided cable. Although slightly thicker than a non-braided flat cable, this one is still thin enough to go under carpets or doors if needed. I tested the 2-metre version, which is great for mobile use, but I see that 3, 5, 8, 15 and 31 metre versions are available, making them perfect for environments that require a tougher specification. The manufacturer offers a lifetime warranty so they are very confident of their quality.
The cable comes neatly coiled in a cardboard box, complete with two Velcro straps to keep it neat when travelling. Recommended for quality and value for money.

This “Ethernet Cable 2M / 6.6 FT, Snowkids Cat 7 Flat Ethernet Cable High Speed Patch Network Cable Braided Cord for LAN Compatible with PC, Game Console, Modem, Router, Smart TV, Patch Panel” is most unusual in that it is the sole Ethernet cable encountered over several decades of use that is fabric-covered.
Although intended for use within CAT7 network environments, it is backwards compatible with CAT 5 & 6 equipment. Flat cables are commonly used where they need to be run under rugs or carpets, behind pictures or along dado rails etc. If laid narrow edge to the viewer, they can be effectively invisible when they are a close colour match to the background; this probably will not be quite so unobvious.
Usable between server and hubs or between hub and peripherals, CAT7 cables may offer a very small data transfer speed increase compared with cabling of prior standards due to a reduction in signal losses. While no obvious issues were encountered during initial use, there is concern that the fabric covering may be subject to greater wear over time were the cable of a longer length and run under carpet compared with standard PVC-covered equivalents used in a similar environment. As this is a 2m length, there is a limited probability of it being used in that way.
While available in lengths up to 15m, 2m is also the shortest offered and for patch use a standard PVC-covered cable will be the more cost-effective solution. Pricing at 9.99 for this length (at the time of review) is slightly higher than other CAT7 cables of similar length but the price difference may be justified if the covering is thought of as ‘decorative’.

Out of all the different types of ethernet cable available, you can’t go wrong with CAT 7. It’s great for a home setup as it will be more than capable of handling anything you should throw at it. CAT 8 is better but a bit overkill and a waste of money just on a basic home setup

This cable appears to be high quality but a little more expensive than others at 8.99 for only 2M. The reason for this is likely because the cables braided compared to the traditional rubber alternatives. You may wonder if you should get a rubber or braided cable?. For a regular home setup I’d say save your money and go for a rubber one. Although if you want a cable for travelling or in a location where cables have been damaged before this would be great and be more durable than a rubber one

These cables are of the flat design. Personally I prefer the flat cables as they’re easier to run down walls and round corners, or even under doors. I just find them better for cable management on a home setup personally. The braided finish feels nice and sturdy so shouldn’t break or get damaged easily unless you really do something to it and the connectors on each end are good quality just as you’d expect. During testing the cables worked as expected with no issues

I’ve been using this with my laptop, and it works as intended. The build quality seems good. The braiding makes the cable feel stronger and easier to use. I like it on cables that I am continuously moving and manipulating, though probably wouldn’t bother with it in cables that are likely to be static, and it does add a bit to the thickness of the cable. As with other flat cables, this one is easy to hide behind furniture, under carpets, etc.
This is the best and fastest braided Ethernet cable used. Excellent quality product. Arrived well packed in a box. The actual cable is well made. The connectors are strong and fit perfectly. Data transfer is fast, definitely faster than my other braided Ethernet cable. Fits under carpet from router to PC and perfectly.

I’ve been using this connect my laptop to avoid any interference on WiFI and it worked perfectly. The braided outer is robust and resists kinking, it could cope with being stood on I reckon. The RJ45 connectors require depressing the lever to remove which is protected by a solid shroud to avoid being snapped off and ruining the cable. My only observation is that the strain relief isn’t very flexible.
All in all recommended for a loose cable to connect to a smart TV, laptop etc.

It is braided, flat and has well made gold metal-type ends and good cable strains on it at both ends. The braid is unusual and I only expect to see this on a cable that will be subjected to a lot of movement which a CAT cable wouldn’t normally be. However, I like to because it IS different and means I can identify which device it is plugged into among the 11 other cables I have plugged in. It also come with 2 velcro cable ties to loop up any excess you may have after slotting it in.
CAT 7 is backwardly compatible with CAT 5 and given the small extra in price, this cable it well worth the extra for that little bit future-proofing.

IN a normal, plug your pc in scenario you likely wont see the difference. However, when you start chucking huge amounts of data around you will. Up to you to decide if you need that potential throughput. But if you do, this is a great cable
A braided Ethernet cable is a bit of a niche item in my opinion and this is the first one i have seen however it does have its use! Living in and old house I have an oak mezzanine with the tv mounted on the timber with a swivel arm to pull of out for doing a Joe Wicks workout. This means I have to have a few exposed cables, the braided cables look good and the braid adds some extra strength where it rubs.
Really liking the stuff coming out of Snowkids, they feel quality, they look great, the mix of high quality feeling finishing materials along with solid technical performance is making them my go to brand for prosumer connection equipment.

In my experience with network cables, there are 3 types: ‘normal’ plastic coated round ones, flat plastic coated ones, and round braided ones.
This is the first flat AND braided one I’ve seen, and I can report, it’s awesome.
The Snowkids Cat 7 Ethernet Cable arrives in a branded cardboard box with only the cable inside. The cable oozes quality, from the double velcro-style cable tidies either end, to the gold plated connectors. The cable braiding feels really premium quality, and it’s pretty flat – much more so than a standard round cable, but not as flat as some of the plastic ones I’ve had. It’s a nice trade-off between quality and flat footprint.
In testing, it holds up well on my gigabit network, not exhibiting any issues at all.
