Easy to use, quick to install and really powerful.
I had a different one before this, and am well chuffed with the power in this one.

Good little pump and solar panel and works well. A decent length on the cable to the panel. Only thing people need to consider when buying is that it’s ideal for very small ponds as the pump is very small. Effective but small

Had previously bought the 7w version but had to return it due to it cutting out as soon as sun vanished, bought this version because it has the back up battery, it is equally as powerful as the 7w version, not installed yet but have tested id to height required in a waterfall and it will do just fine, adequate set of fountain nozzles, but you don’t get any tubing with it. – would I recommend it – yes

I wasn’t really sure what this little pump could do but it was very easy to put together and with the sun we have had over the last few months this performed very well. No energy except the sun makes it a very cost effective way to add a water feature to your pond. Great relaxing sound in the summer evenings sitting in the garden relaxing

    It works really great.
Bought to replace a much larger model which packed up, got this size specifically for the small water feature & it’s the perfect strength. Runs well in full sunlight, to a lesser degree in over cast conditions and cuts in & out with dark clouds – but we don’t see at night in our garden so really it doesn’t matter for us.
Assembly is very simple, cannot be more simpler than this.

    Works grea

Golden Review Award: 81 From Our UsersThis is the second one I have bought and the first has been running well for two years but when the sun goes down it does too. This new one works even with shade. This video was taken at 7pm. For the price I think they work well to add a little oxygen to the pond. Be sure to secure to the middle of the pond with string or fishing wire or you might come home to an empty pond.

I have had several of these solar fountains but this one has been the best by far! Really powerful, consistent and shoots the water quite high. In fact, I have had to secure it in my rather small pond because if I am not careful it empties the water over the side if it drifts and can empty the pond in a matter of hours.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI brought this around a month ago for my small, south facing pond. On sunny days – like the recent heatwave – I have a constant fountain running for most of the day and evening which looks fantastic. Today it’s cloudy and so the fountain comes on for a spell and then turns off, presumably due to the lack of power?

The collection of nozzles is good but they’re all fairly similar – the one I would have liked to see is a “bell nozzle” to keep the water lower rather than shooting it upwards. The only minor negatives I’ve found are that as the pump is small and floats it can move around the pond and potentially toward the edges, and the pump can get easily blocked by gunk as it’s small (but easy to clean). These are however minor flaws in an excellently priced pump that’s easy to set-up and install.

I was unsure when it arrived as it was so small. I couldn’t believe how powerful the jet was when I set it up and I will definitely be buying another one for another project I’ve got in mind.

Easy to put together and install. This has a BIG solar panel (approx 8″ x 9″) so may put people off. Of course the thing about big panels is the low light capabilities and this really does allow for dusk operation. Would recommend if you have room for the panel.

I had a solar fountain with built in solar panels but it worked only when uninterrupted sun light fell on it. Even shade of rim of container turned it off. This purchase with separate solar panel worked straight away on an overcast day in Yorkshire UK. The video show both fountains in the same container. The new one rising to over 2 feet high and the older one doing nothing. It’s less than 10 mins since I have assembled it and have not tried different nozzles. Exceedingly pleased with product so fa

Works well we don’t use the float but have adaptive it to other ie bucket and a higher sleeper
One solar panel for each fountain raises to about 12 inches from the pump on one
Works some what reduced in cloudy days

I have only had this fountain a few days but so far have been very impressed. It is much more powerful than than my old floating one which had the solar panels built in. This has a long lead so you have lots of options where to put the solar panel and it works very well even on a dull day. It is in a small outside pond which is quite weedy and as the filter cover for the motor has quite large slots it soon blocked up. This may turn out to be a downside but a previous review suggested putting a piece of sponge over it with elastic bands which seems to be a good idea. I am trying a small piece of scouring pad instead as this is similar to the material used in the filter in my old pump.

UPDATE. PROBLEM SOLVED (Hopefully!) The scouring pad filter worked better than nothing but still became blocked after a few hours. This must be because the pump is quite powerful for it’s size and quickly sucks any debris into the very small filter. To overcome this I was going to buy a small plastic flour sieve, attach it to the floating disc and over the pump as this would keep the pump away from direct contact with any debris in the water. Instead I used a small plastic christmas pudding basin (don’t tell the wife) because the floating disc pushed into the top perfectly. I then cut out 4 sections around the basin, put a pop sock over it to act as a large filter and 3 days later it still working perfectly.

Excellent product. It works really well and has a good choice of nozzles. It currently works for 17 hours per day and even yesterday when it was cloudy all day, it was on permanently.
Already planning another bigger pond on the lawn so will be buying another of these in due course.

Brilliant little pump used the float and I was using it as I had made my own garden fountain. Saved a fortune buying an off the shelf fountain and got exactly what I wanted by diy. This tiny pump in your hand looks rubbish but let me tell you it certainly packs a punch and does the job. Hope it continues to work the way it is at the moment. I Would and have recommended to my friends. Awesome piece of kit.

I purchased this to replace a solar water feature pump. The previous pump cable had been chewed by squirrels. I had to add a connector to fit the tubing to the water feature, but I had something that was the right size so luckily this was very easy. The new pump now works a treat and is much better than the original. The built in battery means the water feature still works in the evening if it has received a decent boost of solar power during the day.

I have two AISITIN pumps, and was very pleasantly surprised with this one (6.5w).

The pump units are the same on all units, but the real difference with this one is the solar panel.

This one is set in a robust frame with its own legs to stand it, or optional hole for hanging. Additionally it has a permanent protective cover over the solar panel. It generally feels very good quality.

It also regulate the power supply to the pump much more efficiently and does not go in to power saving/pulse mode – just delivers a constant flow.

Very easy to install, flexible for usage and efficient.

Good selection of spray heads. Have placed the pump at the top of a small waterfall and have to position the pump precisely to ensure spray doesn’t water the surrounding foliage. It is a good little pump and the rechargeable battery ensures it continues after the sun has gone.

I’ve waited a few months before reviewing as the last solar pump I bought failed after 3 months. This one is so much better as it stores the power, old one used to cut out when it clouded over & it has a long wire to help move the panel to catch the sun rays.

Obviously it’s just a trickle when the sun is hiding but, on a really sunny day it’s impressive for it’s size.
I have put a full watering can nearby as it occasionally needs topping up, especially if there is a bit if wind blowing the water over the edge of the water feature.

It’s tiny, but wow. I’ve got a two tier water feature mock water pump. This little fellow has enough pump. To push water from bottom bucket, slow stream, constant, up to 2nd level, then up the mock vintage pump and out spout, all in cloudy sky. Full sun, its a go er. Full flow. Birds love it. Very pleased. Now to finish the rockery.

I actually bought this for something other than what it is intended. I bought it to pump water to the top of a hydroponic system so that the water would run down, water the plants and collect in the bottom to be pumped back up again. I was not sure if it would have the power to pump the water up hill but I need not have worried. It pumps the water brilliantly and an added bonus when the water in the bottom container runs out the pump stops so I then know I need to add more water. I’ve grown strawberry plants in this way and now it has lettuce, beetroot and tomatoes growing.

Golden Review Award: 56 From Our UsersI’m using this in a 35cm pot and it looks lovely. When it’s in full sun and the fountain is working at full power, it shoots water up higher than I expected- the pot isn’t big enough to contain all the splashes, so keep an eye on the water level!
It worked straight out of the box on a sunny/cloudy day, and it comes with 7 different nozzles and some stabilising tubes to keep the fountain in the middle of the pot. I haven’t used the tubes, and instead use some foam floating flowers around the fountain, works just the same.
Lots of fountains seem to have bad reviews on being intermittent, or only working in full sun etc…. but please remember this is an inexpensive fountain powered by solar energy only. It works brilliantly in full sun, and then changes under cloudy conditions, depending on how much power it has stored in the solar panel. I’m really enjoying listening to and watching this fountain, and I also like that it changes intensity with the sun. It makes a marvellous game for my cats – a small shoot of water suddenly turns into a larger one, they love it!
As long as the fountain has had enough sun exposure (I’m not sure exactly how much it needs yet, maybe a few hours?), you also get a beautiful light display when it gets dark. On the first day of using this, the lights came on in the evening, and I was amazed at how pretty it looked. The water runs at a constant pressure along with the lights for about 4 hours.
I don’t have another fountain to compare this to, but I’m really impressed with it and would definitely recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Powerful little fountain!

This fountain is a decent solid product and so far (3 weeks) it seems reliable. Good selection of spray nozzles. The battery enables it to keep going long after the sun has gone down, but does only work intermitently if the battery is not charged and the sun is not out. Filter needs unblocking regularly, but that’s easy to do. Only real gripe is that if you don’t weigh it down, it does float off a bit!

I have had a waterfall water feature for some years now, I even installed a switched 6v back up battery to make it work on cloudy days. So far this pump hasn’t needed it and almost works in rain.

I have used a few solar pumps before and know that they all struggle if the sun is not burning bright. But this tiny little pump does keep going.
IM actually quite amazed with this thing. I have a second type in another part of the garden and when that stops, this new one keeps going. I would say it’s probably getting power from the backup battery.
It does eventually stop about 1 hour after the sun’s gone down.
It is very very small but I’M using it to pump water to the top of a water feature 1 meter in height. It’s just enough to fill the top part to create an over fill water fall affect.
Do I like it? Yes and I am going to get another one ….. Highly recommended for the right use.

Early days, but the solar pump works well. Only drawback is that it does not have an on/off button so you have to disconnect the pump from the solar panel when you don’t want it running.

We have got this in our pebble pool and it sends up a stream about 4″ high which is what we wanted. Keep an eye on the water level as goes down fairly quickly. It works even on fairly dull days and since we only want it when we are in the garden it’s fine.

Golden Review Award: 44 From Our UsersI bought this with confidence as I purchased this last year and was great all through the summer and even on cloudier days. Unfortunately I didn’t take it out at winter and it failed to work this year. However this is a great little fountain and has quite a bit of power considering it’s size. My review is based on the smallest shoot setting but other attachments can be added to make it shoot higher and sprinkle if required. The cord on this is really long so I was able to put the panel in a nice sunny spot and still have plenty of lead to run it along my decking hiding it along the way. I wanted a water feature that didn’t require outside plumbing ect and this is perfect for that. Some people commented on last years version of this that it stopped working after a couple of weeks but that is more than likely a blockage. The pump will come apart to clean out any debris that may have built up. I once had a long hair that had tangled around the motor stopping it from working but once removed it was fine. The only thing I can suggest is to disconnect when the colder months approach, give it a good clean out and store for winter or it will more than likely freeze and break like mine did.
    Highly recommend

I am really pleased with of the Aistin solar fountain. In the box was the pump, solar panel and 6 nozzles.
Connecting the pump to the panel for the first time I was shocked at how powerful the pump was. Each of the six nozzles create an impressive jet or jets of water which can reach some height. I’ve had in the past a floating solar pump but the solar panel ring always needed full sunlight as the slightest of shadows and the pump would stop. This on the other hand can come with some shadow over the solar panel, however for the best results you want to make sure that the panel gets as much sun as possible. This is made easier by the fact that the connecting cable is a decent length meaning you can position the panel in the best place.
The battery is a great idea as it does allow it to continue to work in the evening as it starts to get duller.
My only criticism would be that I’ve found the pump does get easily blocked due to the small holes where is sucks in the water. It’s just meant I’ve had to make sure that the water is as clear of any bird of weed etc. first thing in the morning the fountain can struggle a bit but that’s due in part to not enough light getting to the panel so you end up with a 5 seconds squirt of water and then it stops again but this is due to the panel not getting enough light which is to be expected.
Overall I am throughly impressed. If yiu take the time to find a location for the panel where it’s going to receive the most amount of sunlight as possible you can’t fail to be impressed.

I bought this after returning a different model of fountain where the solar panel was built in. This one has a separate solar panel on the end of a decent length cable. I have attached the solar panel with cable ties and a sticky pad to the top of the cage. (Cage keeps the pigeons and squirrels out. Would also recommend.) It fits together very well. The only problem is that the spray is very high so in a small pond it goes over the sides and emptys the pond, it shows it being used on a birdbath so I don’t think the water would last long in that. There doesn’t seem any way to reduce the flow of water.

Pretty happy with the fountain as it has worked well since the summer. The only negative is that the battery doesn’t store power like its supposed to, which means as soon as there is insufficient sun it stops working. When it does work its pretty good, even to the extent that the cat prefers to drink from it rather than his water fountain in the kitchen.

I have installed this so that the water flows up and through a stone in a water feature.
It’s a small pump, so be realistic about the volume of water it pumps. I tried the fountain spray and it easily achieved 18″ height in full sun.

  63. Jacob Kienlen says:

Seems well made, good output from the solar panel. Simple to assemble and use. Powerful enough for a fountain spray height of about 18 to 24inches, safe as doesn’t use mains. Obviously not effective at night or in poorer light conditions, although still operates even when not particularly bright and sunny. I clean the pump and nozzles occasionally to ensure optimum operation. Will need to be tethered possibly by burying the wire, to avoid it moving around and I use gravel or small stones to keep the fountain level and give it a bit of ballast. The level of smaller ponds may go down if wind blows spray beyond the pond margins, so worth checking water levels every so often.

I purchased the fountain for a small water feature that I created. I was initially impressed by the reviews it received but wasn’t expecting much for the price and size. However I’ve been pleasantly surprised, it’s great! It even works on dull overcast days, admittedly on those days it’s sometimes quite intermittent, but I find that adds to the charm and makes it sound quite pleasant, a bit like a small stream sound not always the same. It also has quite a strong flow too and on full sun days it works all day. I’ve included a video of it working on a dull day for reference. I didn’t want to use the spray attachments (it comes with a selection of spray head attachments and they are very good when I tried them) but I wanted a more natural appearance so I left the spray head off, when I can get the water directed onto the stone ledge I’ve made it looks very natural and I love the splashing sound it makes. It’s also easy to assemble and works straight out of the box, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this fountain again, I think it’s wonderful. Hope this helps anyone thinking about purchasing it. Thanks for taking the time to read my review.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersI ordered this as I wanted a small water feature on the patio and did not want the expense of installing an outside socket. It was very easy to set up and has a variety of nozzles for different spray effects. The small back up battery means it runs on after the sun has gone in. It is a good idea to check the filter every couple of weeks in case detritus has got into the water. I am very happy with it, it does everything I wanted it to do and is a good price.

I don’t recommend this solar fountain for smaller pools as it is very powerful sending the fountain of water nearly 1 metre high. On windy days most of the water is ejected. I tried all the different nozzles to no avail. Finally made a mini umbrella that restricts the fountain height to 150mm.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI wanted a submersible solar pump to create the effect of my “Green Man” plaque spitting water into my pond. I was able to attach a small-bore plastic pipe to the pump and insert into a hole drilled into the plaque. Works well enough. To filter the water, I,ve put the pump inside a plastic fat ball bird feeder and wrapped that in the leg of my partners tights – I did ask her first! With the solar panel behind a rock facing south, it starts up when it gets light and shuts itself off at dusk.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI needed to replace an old solar pump in my water feature and this one from Aisitin was a perfect replacement plus it also has the added benefit of an internal battery which means when the Sun goes in, it carry’s on working, for up to 2.5 hours, that’s a big upgrade for me as the old one I replaced didn’t have a battery!

At 25.49, this offers really good value for money and is an ideal replacement solar pump for all those solar garden water features!

    Key features that I liked:

    Built in 1500mAh rechargeable battery
    Continues working even when cloudy
    Good water output
Very long lead between pump and panel
    Good build quality
    Comes with various attachments
    Good instruction manual
    Good value for money

    Highly Recommended – Worth Buying

My old solar pump had stopped working, the LED lights were still operational on my water feature so I knew it was a failed pump. This unit fitted straight into my water feature and worked immediately, it’s more powerful and continues working even when the Sun goes in or clouds come over, my old pump used to switch on and off dependant on having full Sun to work.

This solar pump comes very well presented, if a fountain type feature is what you’re after then this would be ideal as it includes all various fountain nozzles and a floating pad. The length of the cable from the solar panel to the pump is 5 metres which is fantastic as this means the panel can be positioned in the best possible location away from the water feature.

The solar panel looks very well made offering 6.5W of power, this is used to power the pump and recharge the internal battery. The back of the solar panel has two fold out brackets that can be used to stand it up on level ground or you can use the two screw hole attachments, I’ve just got this on the shed roof, hanging down and supported by the cable.

The pump is good quality, it has an auto shut off feature if the water runs out in the fountain, this prevents any damage to the pump, older solar pumps don’t have this and they can easily be damaged if the waters gone.

Connecting this to my water feature was extremely easy, I attached the nozzle holder to the fountains water tube and stuck the pump to the water features base using the attached suction cups, job done. I’m still using the old solar panel purely to power up the LED’s but that is really pointless because when the Sun goes in the lights go off 🙂

Overall, money well spent, I’ve got a few more old water features that operate with a solar panel with no internal battery, I shall be replacing them in due course with this model from Aisitin.

If you’ve got yourself an old birdbath then this solar pump kit would most easily liven it up to create a beautiful water feature which stays on even when the Sun goes away!

    Highly recommended

I bought this as I have just moved a water feature and could no longer get a mains cord to it. It is a child pouring water out of an urn into a pail. It has a rise of around 50cm. I have to say that when I unboxed this and saw the size of the pump I was not hopeful it would work. However, to my surprise it was able to provide the perfect flow rate such that sufficient water was pumped up to the urn to give a ideal amount of flow to make it look like water was pouring out. I should imagine a similar rise on a waterfall would also work well.
I did not use or try any of the jets that came with it so cannot comment on these. It did need a reasonable amount of sun before it worked, but this is to be expected. My only criticisms are that there is no on/off switch and the mounts on the solar panel are rather limited, particularly as the battery sticks out so much. Clearly its not using any power that costs money whilst its working, but it may not be desired to have it on and whilst its running it is wearing out the pump. To mount the solar panel I was lucky in finding some long 4mm screws with the correct head size to fit in the mounting slots on the back of the solar panel. I am sure these mounts could be implemented better or at least suitable screws supplied.
The issues are minor and overall I am pleased with this product. I just hope it lasts well.

Golden Review Award: 44 From Our UsersI purchased this solar powered pump as an experiment to try and revive an old water feature where the mains powered pump had expired.

I knew solar wouldn’t output anything like the mains powered pump but I am pleasantly surprised as it is providing more than enough water to provide a gentle trickle from the top bucket to the lower bucket, which makes for a more authentic sound (and not too loud) than was provided by the original pump.

You can assist the water flow if you have a similar water feature by slightly raising the rear of the barrel, so you get a more constant flow of water from the top spout but I prefer a less constant stream of water as it’s more melodic.

I used the existing hoses that came with my water feature but they were a much larger circumference, so I cable tied the original hose to the outlet of the pump and all working fine.

I bought this on a whim on Prime day, as I wanted to try and use it to run a small waterfall rather than a fountain in my pond. I have a solar disc fountain that sits in the middle of the pond but was missing having the waterfall running.

I bought a 1cm internal diameter x 1 metre flexible and clear plastic pipe and attached that to the 4cm long fountain spout, that I had attached to the pump – perfect fit. I didn’t use the foam disc as the stiffness of the pipe kept trying to tip the disc sideways and raise the pump out of the water. Therefore, the pump itself is just dangling in the water on the end of the pipe and wire. I think it is giving a good flow, just what I wanted for my small waterfall – a nice gentle flow, not a rush. I stood the panel up on the ground, as it looks less obtrusive there than hung on the fence, angled to catch the rays.

The photo and video I have attached were taken on quite a cloudy day and it is going great. In the photo you can see the end of the pipe, with the pump going into the water in front of the 2nd stone to the right of the waterfall, then the pipe curls around to go into the top under the ‘frog’. The excess long cable is tucked behind the solar panel.

I am really happy with my purchase as it is running a small waterfall, just like I wanted it to. The price I paid was great too.

Working great as a waterfall via a purchased plastic pipe.

Its been working well up until the last 2 weeks. Despite thoroughly cleaning the pump regularly it stops and starts intermittingly. The solor panel is placed in direct sunlight so its fully charged.
Can I ask for advice please or can you replace it.

I got this to replace a mains power pump in a graden feature. I managed to fit it with the help of sealant and insulating tape! Obviously it’s not a powerful as the mains pump, but just about manages to generate a soft trickling noise. It’s been running for a couple of weeks – so far so good.

Cheap and simple panel and pump. For the money its ok, I bought for circulation of pond water, not as a fountain (I think I would be disappointed as a fountain feature) Needs full bright sunshine to work efficiently. Would recommend supplying/buying extra extention leads to ensure a south facing position, although it does come with a reasonable length of cord between panel and pump.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersI purchased this in September 2020 and set it up in a home made half barrell in the garden. Even on the sunniest of days, the solar panel doesn’t appear to put enough power into the rechargeable cells on the back, so doesn’t work for that long after sunset. However when the sky is blue and bright, it pumps well and continuously. The pump motor then failed in early June 2021. I know this because there was still 8 volts plus coming from the solar panel. I contacted the supplier about this and after they asked me to supply a picture of it not working, within a few days they kindly sent me a complete replacement so I am totally satisfied with their after service care and responses to my communications with them. It’s lovely to see it all working again. I don’t know if the star rating for suction is related to the suction of the pump or the suction of the 3 little suckers on the bottom of the pump to help it stick to the pond liner so I’ve assumed it is talking about the amount of water it sucks up and this is ample for a small water feature – actually it’s almost too powerful when you add the fountain attachments, so mine is rigged up to a silicone tube and pours back into the pond via a constructed copper pipe, and it looks like a running tap. Image 1 is original set up with water pumping up an out of a plastic tube, then images 2 and 3 are with the copper pipe now fitted. Took me a while to construct the table top. Pond plants still to add!

4.0 out of 5 stars Useful pump for its size

The product was easy to setup. With a decent size solar panel, the spring works a couple of hours after sunset. I am so far impressed by the product. As a new customer, I am eager to find out how it will work in the long term.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersThis little fountain seems to require very little direct sunlight – in fact mine worked straight out of the box!
After a bit of experimenting I have decided not to use the float, but have sunk the unit so that it just bubbles rather than fountains as my prime reason for buying it was to help reduce the duck weed in the pond – but at the same time I do not want to disturb the froglets too much!
Only improvement could be the provision of a ground spike.

This was my second attempt at getting an appropriate sized solar powered water pump. It works well but needs to be in very clean water otherwise the debris gets sucked into the pump itself and it stops .So far working well in the water feature we purchased it for not so sure it would work in a pond full of weed or detritus.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI wanted a solar pump in the hope it could power a water feature. This pump does this far better than I expected. Ran it through one meter of pipe (bought some clear beer/ wine making syphoning pipe). The pump also works without full Sun.
Easy to set up and the quality is good. If you want to mount it to the side of the pool the suction cups work well. The pump is silent.
Cheapest I found the pump was on Amazon and it arrived two days after ordering.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersUsed this pump to replace the mains powered pump in water feature (see video). I was sceptical at first as the pump is really small! Although the product is not supposed to be used in this way – as you can see from the video it is managing to push the water vertically a couple of feet quite satisfactorily! I was lucky that the basic nozzle from this pump was a good fit for the “up” pipe in my water feature.
The “floating” disc is foam with a removable centre for the nozzle, and comes with a variety of sprays
The solar panel is of a reasonable size and has a small battery back on the reverse side..
Not so good points – the “feet” on the solar panel are useless. I propped it up with a stone in the end.
Strong sunlight is needed to charge the solar panel and keep the pump going – even with the rechargeable battery back-up! Too many cloudy days and the performance will be affected. If you need consistency and predictability in your feature then look at a mains powered version, otherwise this fits the purpose (and is cheaper!)

This is the best!! I’m so pleased with this solar pump. It is tiny and it has a battery storage on solar panel. This pump is placed in a south facing area of garden so it gets good sun amount but 7am this morning it was working away it will carry on all day. I have had other solar pumps but they have not worked as well as this one.
There is plenty of cable to position solar panel and different spray heads.
I just wanted a pebble water feature so it just bubbles up through the pebbles. Made my boring gravel rockery more interesting. Didn’t want plants as lm getting too old to weed, so removed all the plants and replaced with gravel. I’m 71yr and l did all this so have a go.

    Best buy

Having had a solar fountain that cost twice as much chewed to pieces by foxes I went for this cheaper model.
The pump itself is tiny but delivers a decent 2’6″ fountain height, perfect for my 8′ x 4′ pond.
The solar panel, slightly smaller than my previous is actually much better. It seems to be able to suck in enough light from a cloudy March day to power the pump, something the more expensive one struggled with.
The optional to use floating foam disc, roughly 6″ in diameter, supports the pump and saves having to mount the pump on bricks, pots etc on the pond bed.
So far so good (with some old guttering to protect the cable this time)

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersAfter seeing lots of bad solar fountains, I wanted to make sure I got the most powerful one I could find, bounce how affordable this one was also. Dose it meet expectations? After seeing reviews saying left in a sunny location all day it keep running 2 hours after dark, than no, the one I have stops when the clouds pass over. Do I regret buying this, honestly I don’t. I real life, its great runs when it fancys, over having constant running water in my garden. The times it runs is when I’m most likely potting around outside, and you notice it more when it starts. It’s a steady flow, or not at all. This makes it a joy to have, rather than what the sill fountain doing now sort of thing.
Lovely and easy setup, with a wide choice of heads. Some really high for something so small! I’ve choosen not to use any for the shortest flow suitable for my butler sink pond, which comes to 2 or 3 inches.
Clean it, look after it and in sure it be a feature in my garden of some time to come.
The solar panel is similar size to a dinner plate, so that’s excellent, just think where you will place it.

This is a neat product and seems to work OK. Fountain currently about 18 inches high. The fountain cannot just be floated because it moves around. I tied a small rock to it with string which keeps it anchored in the middle of the pond. I have the solar panel on a shed roof in the sunniest position and the feed wire is well long enough.
One problem is that it tends to suck in small particles which then block the spray holes, needs better filtration.

Fantastic pump! Works even under cloud cover. My only two criticisms are that it would be better if it had four suction caps to keep it in place instead of three as it tends to lisp to one side. It can be wedged though. Secondly, it would be better if it came with an extension pipe, mine is situated in a small reservoir but need an addition pipe to ensure the fountain came out of the reservoir hole at the top. Having said all that, I would definately recommend this solar pump/fountain, the pump is quiet and runs under cloud cover well into early evening. In really sunny weather it is fabulous!

Golden Review Award: 52 From Our UsersWas slightly worried that this might not work in overcast conditions but as you can hopefully see in the video there was cloud cover on this August day in Yorkshire and the fountain worked well having moved the solar panel from the shade of long grass where it worked intermittently so the advice it to place it where the shade won’t hinder it. Only had it a day so can’t yet comment upon how frequently it requires cleaning or how long it works after sundown but last night my daughter aimed her mobile phone torch at it in the dark and it worked so obviously the solar sensors are quite responsive- maybe if you surround it with solar lights on van evening it may continue to work- I’ll try that tonight.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI am very pleased with this item which I think is good value. It works as described. It does of course need a good location for the solar panel within approx 4m of the pump, which is the length of the connecting cable. You might find an extension cable on the internet if needed. The pump is quite small and made of light plastic, so it may get brittle with age or cold temperatures, but it works very well at the moment. I use the extension tube and single large nozzle to avoid blockages of the fine holes in the other spray options. The maximum water spout height with my arrangement is about 60cm, achieved when the spout is above water level. If the spout is submerged slightly the column can be reduced to minimise water lost due to wind drift and splashing in small bowls etc.
It short, be prepared to experiment to get the effect that you want. My biggest problem has been loss of water due to splashing and wind drift in the 60cm diameter basin that I am using.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI bought this pump for a water feature on my patio. The original pump was underpowered so I tried this one. The pump was easy to connect, and the solar panel is much bigger than my original panel. As soon as I had connected the pump to the panel, there was a powerful stream of water. I am amazed that it works even on a cloudy day, and works until about 9:30pm. It will cut out if there is insufficient water, too. I was so
Impressed that a bought one for a friend, and his works equally well. I would recommend this pump.

Golden Review Award: 45 From Our UsersWe bought this for our pond in our garden. Our pond isn’t the smallest, measuring about 5 feet by 12 feet so we we not expecting too much. However this is just great! It works straight out of the box and has been going now for around 3 weeks and we have not had any real problems. We have had to clear the spray nozzle a couple of times which is easy enough and we’ve cleared a bit of pond weed off the filter just the once. It comes on early in the morning, when the suns up and even on a cloudy day keeps working. The height of our water jets are about 12 – 18 inches which is more that enough for our pond. Overall very happy and would recommend

Golden Review Award: 48 From Our UsersThis is the second of these that we’ve bought. So simple to set up and use. You can set it up in so many different ways, only limited by your own imagination. Please note, the pump has much more oomph to it than this video shows. We had to employ some jiggery-pokery to calm it down so that the water wouldn’t shoot everywhere. It keeps on going for a couple of hours after the sun has gone down. Great fun.

Golden Review Award: 73 From Our UsersThis comes as a solar panel, decent length power cord to connect to the pump, the pump itself, a float, and a selection of spray heads for the pump. The pump is tiny – no much larger than a matchbox – but connects cleanly and simply through the float to the spray head. I’ve had it working now for a couple of weeks and it has made a noticeable difference to water quality and clarity. The battery keeps it working for a few hours after sun-down and in the morning it will wake up again as light hits the solar panel. It is *not* maintenance free – bits of weed and other pond matter will get pulled into the intake and are trapped in a small chamber ahead of the pump impeller blades. It’s a two-minute job to open it up and rinse this out and it’s then back to full efficiency. I’ve found I have to do this every day or two; you will know when to do it as the spray height gradually reduces as the flow gets progressively impeded. But this is no hassle and I’m pretty happy with it; furthermore it seems good value for money.

Golden Review Award: 38 From Our UsersQuick delivery. It’s the item I’ve been looking for so I can add a small water feature in the garden. The size of the pump is smaller than I thought. It’s about the size of a match box, but surprisingly capable of producing high water pressure. I attached the solar panel on a fence post, and I’m still looking for a better way to adjust its orientation. I found it works great under direct sun light, and when the sun is in the wrong direction, it works better if the sky is cloudy.

Golden Review Award: 78 From Our UsersI’m so glad I went for this product over cheaper alternatives.

This one fired up as soon as I got it out the box and in the garden. I was shocked.

I have an existing solar pump that only works when there is direct sunlight. I’m pleased to say this one far outperforms that.

It is working even with fairly heavy cloud, and seems to be happy in this condition and still work at full power.

The battery back up is tiny, and sits under the solar panel.

The only downside is this solar panel doesn’t come with something to stick it in to the ground with.

However I didn’t mark it down on that, as the rest is so good.

Hopefully it will still be doing the same job in a years time.

    I’d buy this again.

Go for this over the cheaper alternatives. You won’t be disappointed.

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersI thought when it first arrived that the motor looked small in comparison to my previous pump. It was straightforward to assemble and attach to the fence. I should have read more carefully the advice, in the reviews , the pump silts up in dirty water, because it certainly does. I have tried to place the motor in the foot of a pair of tights, this helps, but not for long, it still clogs up, then eventually stops. Although, to be fair the water as it is so hot today has needed to be topped up which has disturbed the sediment, which the pump has not liked.

Golden Review Award: 83 From Our UsersThe reviews did say it was small but even smaller than expected!! We were replacing a mains powered pump on a 20yr old water feature. We went for this one because of the reviews and it said that it was capable of a 100cm lift, we needed about 50-55cm. Where the pump is small the tube out is not much more than aquarium diameter, our water feature was over 1cm so much larger. We used an elastic band on the pump outlet tube to form a ‘washer’ effect. Whilst doing this left solar panel in the sun to charge. If you have a large bore tube, like us, there is no way this dear little pump will hit the heady heights of 100cm if you use it as supplied it probably could get somewhere close.

Golden Review Award: 31 From Our UsersA great little fountain to make a Water feature In the garden. Fairly easy to install with good instructions, hardest part is hiding the wires.
