15 DC watts instead of 45 AC watts for a better airflow, the bills will be lower for years, and reasonably quiet in comparison with the old fan while looking much better and higher standard of construction. Bought it with a 30 off voucher so no complaints!

 

I have had countless fans, I am extremely noise sensitive, and have various temperature needs due to illness and being a female! Quite honestly I was sceptical about how silent any fan could be, even though reviews were good. Well, it is just that, silent. Obviously the higher you go there is noise, but even then it isn’t the kind of noise that gets on your nerves. On the lowest level it is silent, giving a gentle, soft breeze, perfect for when you’re not boiling but need some air movement, and for night time. Level two is still so quiet! Very soft and gentle. My previous fan I needed earplugs to sleep at night even on its lowest level, and STILL could hear it! When it oscillated it was like it had kinks in its neck, this one, well it is so unobtrusive. I didn’t believe I could be in love with a fan, I despaired of ever finding one I could live with that did it’s job effectively at the same time, but I’m in love with this one! Not in a million years did I think I’d spend this much on a fan, or indulge in such a thing as a remote controlled one, well, every penny spent is a million times worth it! It looks lovely and sleek too. Yes it’s made of plastic and quite lightweight, but it’s not flimsy, and it’s easy & quick to put together. I’m truly thrilled with the investment I made in this fan. It is a little short, and I thought with having a high bed I might not be able to feel it, but it’s fine put at the end side of my bed. The remote receiver seems to be on the base of the fan, and I thought I would be getting out of bed to try to direct the remote at the right place, but not so, I just point it at the fan itself and it works!
A dream. Well worth buying.

 

I’ve been looking for a quiet fan for ages. I’ve tried a few and none were suitable as too noisy for me, even though advertised as quiet. I’m a very fussy sleeper when it comes to noise. This fan is amazing, I can have it on either 1,2 or 3 speed and I can’t hear it. I’m so delighted to have finally found this fan.
There is also a short video online on assembling the fan which I found useful just for a couple of things that I wasn’t sure about, otherwise very easy to assemble.

 

It does everything it says. Very quiet so ideal for sleeping. Just perfect.

Nice fan. Well made and lots of options and the remote is an added bonus. Only used at the end of this summer, so how durable it is won’t be known until it warms up next year. Should have bought it at the start of summer !!

 

This is a superb fan, easy to assemble if the instructions are followed, and very effective. It’s also very quiet indeed on its lower speed settings. The remote control is a very handy feature. Thoroughly recommended.

 

We used this during the very hot summer days and found it to be very good. It is quite a robust construction compared to some fans and has faired well with moving it about the house.

This fan sensors the room temp as starts on the number it needs to, 3 you don’t even know its on, it is very quiet and the remote is brilliant, never before seen a pedestal fan with a remote, only the tower ones, its a bit pricey but we love it, such a quiet fan even when the speed is a bit higher, quieter than others we have had and we have had alot, I do recommend.

After the recent spell of hot weather and the house turning into an oven my kids were struggling to sleep. I’ve already got a number of fans in the house but they’re pretty noisy and as much as I don’t mind the hum of the fan at night the kids struggle to sleep with the noise.

I was a bit hesitant about spending so much on a fan when a basic fan can be had for much less but I wanted something that was quiet. I was also a bit suspicious of the dB claim as surely the act of moving air with a fan blade will still create noise?

Somehow they’ve managed it and on the lowest setting it is whisper quiet and fades into the back ground. It has quiet a few functions and the remote is very good and works from across the room without needing to be clicked a few times or pointed directly at the sensor. The timer is good and although is a feature found on many fans I don’t have it on the one in my room and I can set it for a couple of hours until the kids have drifted off and it will turn off.

It is reasonably powerful but not much more than any other fan which is a shame as I would have hoped at the price point it would have the ability to have a mega powerful setting when you’re really trying to cool a room down or cover a large area. That said, my powerful fan can be heard down the street when I’ve got it backed up to the window and sounds like a light aircraft. This one of full power is still very quiet for the amount off cooling it does.

I didn’t buy it for aesthetics as it’s not exactly on display but you can tell it’s a premium bit of kit when you put it together which is reassuring that you can see where your money has gone. If you were bothered about aesthetics I doubt you’d feel let down.

Overall it does exactly what I wanted and is surprisingly quiet with all the features you’d want from a fan I’d just like it to have the ability to up the ante on power when I want to.

 

Days getting hotter, ordered this for remote and silent performance. Arrive pretty quick and easy to assemble rest though have instructions didn’t really use it took a few mins to get it running. Decent color with quality material. Wort for the price. Pumps loads of cool breeze yet quiet though have the quite mode too.
Comes with remote has all the features though have buttons on the fan base, in case the remote isn’t handy. Works both ways for easier. Have led display to know the mode of operations. Have4 different modes of operating and energy efficiency too. Best feature if timer which uses every day to auto turn off by early mornings when the temperature gets low. Recommended product for decent price.

 

100 quid for a fan is a bit of a tough pill to swallow but as the mrs always says, “it’s an investment”. Easy assembly and the remote works out of the box. All in all, does what it says on the tin.

 

With a heatwave imminent this week, and temperatures forecast to be in the high nineties, this lovely fan will really come into its own. I bought it during May’s unpredictably hot weather (and a dry spell exceeding 31 days), and then the temperatures dropped and the rain came, so I haven’t used it much yet. But I’m so glad I have it, as I am not in dread of the forthcoming heatwave, and the sleepless nights that come with it. Also, my two brachycephalic dogs, who can become overheated very quickly in hot weather, will benefit greatly from it. The Staffy isn’t too bad, but French Bulldogs can really suffer.

The beauty of this fan is that it’s light enough for a 70 years old woman (with arthritic hips, a curving spine, and herniated discs,) to carry up and down stairs – up at night, and down in the morning for daytime use. This fan is not as tall as most pedestal fans which helps and, being shorter, probably makes it more stable. The overall height can be adjusted by about 9″, via a push-button that activates 11 notches, ratchets. Besides, it doesn’t need to be any taller because it can be placed on a desk, stool, or chest of drawers (as well as on the floor). It has NINE different speeds (as opposed to most fans’ three), and its head oscillates, and can be directed/tilted downwards to distribute the cooler air.

At first I thought this fan was a bit expensive, but it’s many features make it extremely versatile. I like that it has an ECO mode and, even on the highest speed it’s exceptionally quiet compared with fans I’ve had in the past, and even mini fans. I didn’t expect it to be quite as effective as it is and I love that, placed in the doorway at night between my bed and the dogs’ bed on the landing, I can remotely control it to keep us all comfortable.

The fan came exceptionally well packaged to eliminate possible damage – the fan head being so well packed that I had some difficulty removing the polystyrene from the blades, and connecting it to the easily assembled stand. The only thing I’d like to see modified is the bracket that holds the remote control. The listing doesn’t actually show it in situ, but there’s really only one place for it, and it falls too easily from there. It needs to be a better shape to make a tighter fit, and have slightly longer arms – but that’s just a very minor niggle!

 

Compared with my old pedestal standing fan, this one is much more compact, light weight and more smart modern design! The fan could Be 90 degree oscillating horizontal left right direction, height adjustable as pedestal standing fan or desk fan! As the instructions said this is DC motor operating fan it is helping energy save, the fan is very quiet when run the lower speed level, remote control is very convenient, thermostat can show me the room temperature, LED display panel clearly show all the functions timer setting could b from 1 hours to max 9 hours, 9 wind speed levels, there are 4 modes I choose the eco mostly because it will automatically adjust the wind level based by your room temperature, I use this fan as the main fan for the whole conservatory, it seems really brilliant! U need a bit assembling but it is not difficult at all. It is also easy for cleaning. All in all, this is a modern powerful lightweight pedestal and desk combined fan, Fantastic!

 

Great fan, really quiet and like the flexible height adjustment at the touch of a button. Only downside was that remote is on same IR channel as my hdmi switcher so limits its use in the same room, but overall the fan is still worthy of 5 stars.

 

As the hot month falls upon us I decided to purchase this fan for its advertisement of 20db noise level, I am glad the fan stood up to that statement. At speed level 1 you can only hear the wind noise by putting your ears right up to the fan, perfect for a quiet and cool night of sleep. I would recommend using this fan as a personal fan for its quietness since higher speed levels (from 2+) will be rather noisy should you wish to cool the whole room. The oscillation motor also makes no noise at all.

The design of the front part of the fan hood is very peculiar and flimsy, took me a good 10 minutes to get it fitted just right, apart from that the assembly is quite straightforward. The base of the unit is a thin piece of plastic, not a deal-breaker since this doesn’t impact the fan’s functionality in any way but something to keep in mind before purchase.

 

This is a really good fan to replace my old one that I’ve used for over 10years.
It’s quite easy to assemble and light weight. I like the cooling effect of the breeze and that fact that it works with a remote makes it easy for me to control laying down on my couch.
It’s got about 9 different rotation speed and eco mode.
A good one for this hot weather.

 

I’ve been really impressed with this floor-standing fan from 4UMOR, it is height adjustable and quiet.

For a conventionally designed fan, it is quite pricey but once you starting looking at its attributes you notice that it’s very well made and also well thought out.
Firstly the fan is height adjustable as u mentioned earlier – you simply pull down on the neck and the height will shorten, then simply press a button on the back and the neck will spring up by one notch. Fully extended the fan stands at 98cm with is perfectly reasonable.

Secondly, the fan might look traditional but it has modern technology like a remote control, LED display and also timer control.
You can choose when the fan switches off when you fall asleep which is normal but there is an added feature call sleep mode, in this mode once you set the timer the fan will reduce its speed to number 1 towards the end slowly and silently switch off. This is neat, however, the best feature is the Eco-mode setting. Once selected, the fan will adjust its speed according to the in-built thermostat, this happens in real-time and works really well.

Everything is either controlled via the remote control or on the LED display on the base of the fan. You can even turn off the LED display via the remote to stop the light irritating you when you are trying to sleep.

This fan might look traditional on the outside and it’s perfectly ready for the present.
