Very good works well, you'll need a usb adapter if using a newer mac as it's a standard usb. Disappointed with the packaging though. It just had the shipping label on the front and left on my door, easily could have been stolen. So just be mindful of that, that you are home when ordering.

It is not for beginners and requires hours and hours and hours of online training and reading manuals to be able to do anything. Only got this if you know what you are doing otherwise you're going to end up returning it like I did. The software it comes with on Windows is less than ideal. Overly complicated to use as well. I tried it on my Mac using GarageBand and it was a little bit easier to use but definitely not easy enough for me to want to keep it.

Things about this keyboard that are perfect:
– the beat pad (the buttons are firm; they don’t actually press in when you hit them, which is what you want)
– durability (cheap price but not a cheap build!)
– portability
– easy set-up
– key size (not too small)
– aesthetic
things that are ehhh:
– I don’t think I’ve ever used the free software that came with this thing, but I guess it’s nice that it was included. Someone might find it useful, but not me. Would’ve been nice to include a nice piano VST or something.
– My old model had an issue where the USB port became loose and stopped working, but it seems like they’ve fixed that in the newer models! It’s much more durable from what I can tell.
I’ve used this keyboard since I started producing, and it’s unbeatable for the price. I love this thing so much.
Excellent little controlle
I needed something with a pitch and mod wheel (it’s a stick – good enough) that was compact for writing and recording on the move. I don’t use the software that came with it, so can’t speak to that, but the physical controller does all the things it says, and a few I didn’t need that are still fun to mess around with.
Drum pads are a little more stiff than expected and don’t seem to allow for a lot of variation in velocity, but it’s been a long time since I’ve used pads like that, so that could be me just needing more practise.
The keys are small, so if you’re used to piano sized keys, it will be an adjustment. The arpeggiator is a neat addition, and the knobs are smooth and easy to work with
All in all, super happy with my purchase
I love everything about this controller, except the fact that the knobs don't control Ableton properly. The knobs on the controller reset all your parameters in Ableton as soon as you touch them, which kinda defeats the purpose. I haven't been able to figure it out after hours of troubleshooting, so the knobs are basically useless to me.

Really sturdy and quality materials used, very easy to set up as it is plug and play, great value for what you get, the keys are nice and firm. Great for beginners and pros alike!

Esta padre que puedes secuenciar dos intrumentos a la vez ademas de hacer overdub, estaria padre teclas completas o mas grandes como el keystep pero tienen buena presion, ademas de que pudieras guardar las secuencias y lo que mencionan que si lo conectas a la pc por default pasa el midi al usb

El mejor teclado de 3 octavas
Si estas buscando un teclado de 3 octavas completas y con ayudas, teclas de calidad, pads y knobs de mucha calidad, este es tu teclado.
Las mini teclas, no se sienten mini teclas, he tenido pianos con teclas normales de mucha peor calidad que estas.
La construccin es muy solida, la integracin con Logic Pro X es perfecta y que hayan incluido ruedas de modulacin y pitch es un acierto.
Pads y teclas
Los pads no se si tienen falso pero los toco y cuando se graba siempre se graba mal o a veces se agregan ms sonidos en el piano rol de los que en realidad suenan. O se graban desfasados. Las teclas tienen sensibilidad al tacto pero al tocarlas suena suenan muuuy bajito, las tengo que tocar fuerte para que suenen mejor pero ya casi es exagerando, trae 3 instrumentos virtuales, es un piano acstico y dos sintetizadores. La nica app con la que me fuciono bien es con melodics que es para aprender a usarlo

Partiamo col dire che ad un prezzo cos non puoi trovare di meglio! Ottima costruzione (anche se in plastica), super versatile e ricca di controlli utilissimi! La uso da mesi e non ho mai avuto problemi di configurazione! Usata su quasi tutte le DAW pi importanti e conosciute! La uso soprattutto su PROTOOLS ma mi sono capitate occasioni di usarla anche su CUBASE e su LOGIC PRO X. Tastiera chiarente non pesata in alcun modo, utilissima per sintetizzatori ed effetti. I pad sono meravigliosi, morbidi e resistenti. Hanno anche loro il controllo della velocity e pure l’aftertouch! IMPRESSIONANTE! Super consigliata per esperti e per principianti
I have been waiting months for this to come out! I rarely buy gear from amazon because it doesn’t always work out the way it should but they were the first to have them. I love this controller. The keys are much nicer then the older smaller MPK mini’s and the extra knobs and controls are a game changer. I have always had my pads and keys on a separate controller but I find my workflow with the MPK Mini Plus not only improved, it saved a lot of space on my desktop. I’ve already bought a second one for my backpack.
The one disappointment is the sequencer. It’s burred deep in the menu and is not user friendly. To get advanced sequencing out of the unit is a long antiquated process that stifles creativity. Akai needs to improve this with a firmware update in the future, the sequencer is unusable in it’s current from.
That all said this is still a 5 start piece of gear IMHO. I have use the heck out of mine and it’s improved my workflow a lot.

Le due ottave sono abbastanza per potersi esprimere, ed i tasti rispondono molto bene.
I numerosi controlli (pulsanti, pad e rotativi) assolvono a numerose funzioni: li uso per lanciare le tracce in Ableton LIVE e comandare ProTools, oltre a modificare i parametri midi della tastiera stessa.
Il fatto che non serva alimentazione e che sia cos piccola la rende una compagna insostituibile per il mio portatile in tutti gli spostamenti.
Sieht so niedlich aus das Teil, hatte es als Geburtstagsgeschenk gekauft fr ein Kind. Nach langem Installations- und Registrierungsmarathon (bei Akai und iLok muss man ein Konto anlegen) kamen da endlich irgendwelche Tne raus. Aber das ist NIX fr Laien, hunderte Einstelloptionen und Drehregler-> dazu muss man Profi sein.

First I want to give 5 star praise to this little controller. If you have tried to produce music using only a keyboard, this is definitely a step in the direction of pro level production hardware ~ Between this and my Korg, I am getting work done and I was 5 star satisfied for a whole week…
Why the sudden lack of satisfaction when the device itself is still doing everything it is supposed to? ~ Because on Oct 21st, AKAI released the “AKAI MPK mini plus” with THREE octaves of keys (two handed chords!), real pitch bend wheels (industry standard), midi connector/control w/ step sequencer and all still well under $200.
The price of the MPK mini has now been adjusted to where if you are on an absolute tight budget, it is still going to be hard to beat BUT compare this mini and AKAI’s newest model to make sure you are getting the best value for your needs.
Pad feel nice, keys feel nice, the little lcd screen is nice.. you can mix the ARP mode with the scales and chord mode.. 37 keys are the sweet spot I can bring anywhere and still use as my main controller with the range of 3 octaves you can’t lose💪🏾.

Despus de considerar las opciones decid comprar el MPK Mini MK3. En primer lugar porque haba probado el software de produccin musical MPC BEATS de AKAI, que es gratis (aunque se necesita pagar para obtener ms contenido. Despus descubr que hay otro software de AKAI que es mucho mejor pero que es de paga). En segundo lugar, me pareci un producto estticamente bonito (Tampoco es una maravilla del diseo).
Ahora luego de tenerlo por varios meses puedo decir que ha sido una buena compra, la calidad del producto me parece excelente por su precio. Me gusta su facilidad de uso, solo lo conecto y listo, no hay que batallar con controladores y cosas del estilo.
Para ser mi primer controlador MIDI estoy contento de haberlo comprado.

Ottima tastiera, spettacolare il mini monitor ma….. potrebbero fare anche la versione 32 o 49 tasti. Queste da 25 sono comode da portare in giro ma…. una 49 cos non sarebbe male.

He loves this and found it very easy to use! It’s lightweight and portable, so makes it easy to travel with, in its portable hard case. Very reasonably priced - this keyboard is more expensive at our local music stores, so I feel that I got a good value for this item. I would highly recommend this keyboard to beginners, intermediate players, and even advanced players, to have something to travel with and create tracks with.

Bell’attrezzo c’ da divertirsi un sacco poi dipende da che programmi si usano, comunque quelli scaricabili dal sito (registrando il prodotto) sono gi ottimi, funziona anche attaccato al cellulare Android (tramite OTG) , non ho provato con l’ iPad.
Ich liebe es. Perfekt fr reisen. Einfach in den Rucksack und los. Von den Klaviertasten darf man keine Wunder erwarten. Das ist das einzig negative.

Bueno, pero tedioso para usa
Tienes que crear una cuenta y hacer no se que tanto y yo tuve que ver varios videos para hacerlo, tomate tu tiempo pero el producto en s est bien. Slo por esa razon que tarda mucho en establecer le doy 4 estrellas y porque es un poco pequeo para tocar muy fluentemente. Te tienes que acostumbrar.

L’utilisation n’est pas si simple, il faut trouver un bon tutoriel sur internet. J’ai bien galr avant de commencer l’utiliser.

J’utilise Cubase 12 et je suis sous W10 et je n’ai eu aucun problme installer ce clavier midi — Comme prcis dans certains commentaires, il faut d’abord enregister en ligne le produit sur le site qui vous permettra de tlcharger le logiciel d’installation. Dans les tapes d’installation, on vous demandera de connecter le clavier votre PC. Quand elle est termine, lancez votre Studio virtuel (Cubase pour moi) et si tout s’est bien droul, le clavier se reconnu immdiatement dans l’application.

primero compr el m-audio de 32 teclas y es muy bueno, pero lo devolv porque los “pads” no eran lo suficientemente sensibles para el tipo de percusin que yo hago. Si necesitas hacer percusin a velocidades (bpm) rpidas, ste es el teclado que necesitas, es lo suficientemente sensible como para solo tocarlo y registrarse el golpe!
Joystick springt zurück in die Mitte
Der Joystick war der ausschlaggebene Kauffaktor.. Er ist per Software auch divers einstellbar, allerdings auch nicht ganz unkompliziert und vollkommen frei. Fr mich und mein VJ-Setup damit leider nicht ganz so einsetzbar wie ich es wollte. Der Joystick springt recht schnell und hat wenig Spiel, also fr manche Effekte schon cool, aber die CC-Werte springen schon ganz schn teilweise. An un fr ich ein cooles Teil, verstaubt leider eher jetzt bei mir.

Stiff keys, don't get all black!
It’s got very stiff keys, responsive, but stiff, difficult for someone that plays off muscle memory. DO NOT GET ALL BLACK, it’s EBONY and IVORY for a reason : I accidentally ordered the black one, not seeing the minor keys were black too! WHO DOES THAT!? : the included software is “meh” but it’s enough to get started with for sure! The drum pads are stiff like the keys, they need a bit extra punch, unless you hot the corners, that’s where I use them. Would not order again, but would gift to someone I don’t like much, as the perfect p[passive aggressive personal “lol”. Everything else on it works GREAT, knobs are perfection, size and weight, perfect….but that doesn’t help much when I hit the wrong keys constantly bc I can’t see what I’m doing in the dark…or light! ><

Je cherchais un clavier matre pour une utilisation sur Mac, avec GarageBand.
Ce clavier a plusieurs modes de fonctionnement (Abbleton, GarageBand …)
Les potentiomtres sont solides et prcis. Les pads sont agrables.
Seules les touches du clavier sont un peu molles et le toucher n’est pas extraordinaire. Le manque d’octaves est compens par un ingnieux systme de bascule haut-bas, trs pratique.
Pour le prix, c’est une tuerie !

C’est un bon outils. Je m’en sert assez rgulirement mme si je joue pas vraiment de piano. La vlocit enregistre est assez bizarre. Je pense que c’est du au manque de retour de force. Pour de la musique cre sur DAW a passe, il faudra juste rajuster manuellement une vlocit plus propre.
Le beat je m’en sert pas trop, mais a marche.
Ce qui est du “note repeat”/arpegiattor, c’est super. a marche trs bien.
Les intruments bonus sont pas trop mal non plus.
Maintenant, je le trouve quand mme un peu chre. vous de voi
The keyboard is great, I like the design and it feels good in my hand. it has a good weight to it and feels very well built. they keys are a tiny bit stiff but i got used to that quickly.
my issue is with the software. every software instrument needs to be activated with codes that are nowhere to be found. After following the link on the included card and making 3 different accounts I am still no closer to finding these codes.
Also the installation restarted my PC without asking or warning. I had other processes running so that was not appreciated.
Every “get activation code” button, takes you to the same website. Searching the software names on this site provides only keyboards and an ad to buy a software bundle for over $400.
There is no customer support to speak of. They have multiple buttons saying “contact us we are here to help” but they all lead to an info center w a useless AI that couldn’t give me anything relevant.
Don’t say we are here to help if you wont even speak to me. Why claim to have support?
All in all the keyboard is great. I am able to use it as a midi controller with Ableton Live with no issues. But accessing the “included” software or sound banks seems unreasonably difficult. Just make it make sense y’know? I am going to watch some tutorials to figure this out after writing here but as someone who has been producing for 8 years I did not expect to have issues like this on a device that is rated for beginners.
Funciona aunque no es el color que compré
El producto como tal funciona, sin embargo lo recib gris, cuando yo compre en Negro y segn comentarios que he leido no soy el nico con dicho detalle. La caja venia un poco maltratada, sin embargo el producto se nota nuevo por completo, funciona bien y no tiene ningn problema, buena opcin.

Si te ests inicinado en el mundo de la produccin musical o simplemente quieres componer con un teclado, este “CONTROLADOR” es para t. He re recalcar que es un controlador y no un instrumento midi con lo cual este poducto no suena por s solo, aunque con la compra incluye un kit bsico de produccin “MPC BEATS” (Exclusivo de AKAI). Tanto el teclado como el programa son bastante sencillos de utilizar y es muy fcil transportarlo, es muy ligero. Las teclas son bastante fuertes y los Pads de silicona, sensibles a la presin, te harn tener una mejor experiencia. Las perillas de modulacin tienen giro infinito, nos ofrecern tanta modulacin como el propio efecto nos ofrezca.
Si NECESITAS UNA FUNDA para transportarlo… Te dejo el enlace para que, como en las fotos previas incluidas, puedas llevrtelo a cualquier sitio, ha que queda justo a la medida y en su interior posee tambin un pequeo bolsillo con velcro para que puedas guardar los cables (cable USB incluido con el controlador)

Not done music for 20 years. Thought I’d buy this to test the water and fell straight in. If you need a MIDI controller or just want to try your hand this is a brilliant buy. And the included software is amazing.
Muy practico y muy buen precio, requiere algo de esfuerzo para configura
Para empezar, soy guitarrista y toco metal, no musica electronica ni nada por el estilo y no se tocar teclado.
Pero al componer siempre requiero de alguna interfaz fisica que me ayude a agilizar todo lo que no sean guitarras, como los instrumentos virtuales (baterias, sintetizadores, sampleos, etc.) ya que programarlos a mano en midi es muy tedioso.
decidi sobre esta interface gracias a las reseas y se ajusta a mis necesidades perfectamente.
Su calidad de construccion es muy solida (plasticos duros y gruesos, no se flexiona con la presion) y aunque el teclado en si se siente un poco del lado economico responde muy bien (la tercera tecla de izquierda a derecha hace un poco de ruido como si hubiera un poco de friccion con la tecla adyacente, pero no le afecta en su funcionamento en lo mas minimo).
Los pads al principio se sienten un poco duros pero con la practica si responden muy bien siempre y cuando se golpeen con firmeza y rapidez sin necesidad de mucha fuerza, cuestion de acostumbrarse. (en ocasiones registran doble golpe mas no se si sea cuestion de tecnica o asi es la naturaleza de este tipo de pads).
las perillas infinitas se sienten solidas y todos los botones responden como se debe, la pantalla es muy practica para saber que esta activado en todo momento. (las perillas funcionan de maravilla con reaper)
lo uso con reaper y funciona como esperaba y sin problemas. (nota los pads no se pueden configurar en modo sostenido, solo momentario. Es decir al presionarlos se activan y al soltarlos se desactivan lo que dificulta usarlos como controladores para gravar o reproducir en el DAW en modo MIDI CC)
El unico pero que le pongo es en el software, aunque viene muy completo con MPC beats, varios instrumentos virtuales muy buenos. La descarga, instalacion y configuracion de todos estos no es nada intuitiva, de hecho tuve que ver tutoriales en youtube de AKAI para saber como instalar todo, inclusive el programa mas importante para configurar a detalle los parametros internos del controlador “MPC mini II program editor” se encuentra escondido en el programa de instalacion de AKAI bajo una opcion avanzada en el menu que ni siquiera parece un boton.
Por fortuna una vez instalado todo funciona como se debe y sin problemas. pero si dista mucho de ser facil para usuarios de primera vez como yo. (de ahi que en algunas reseas le dan mal calificacion por esta complicacion).
Al final de cuentas es un excelente producto y lo recomiendo altamente inclusive con sus complicaciones del lado del software.
llego en excelente condicion y bien empaquetado (fotos), y cuando lo compre la version en negro estaba en oferta alrededor de los $2,200.00 mientras que las demas variantes estaban arriba de $2,700.00. Esperaba conseguir la version en gris y negro, pero el negro se ve muy bien dejandolo sobre el escritorio de tiempo completo (como se ve en las fotos).

As an ex-professional keyboard player, session musician and writer i would never ever have entertained buying something like this……but….it’s not about playing a keyboard as such, more about making music. So….for a few quid you get a velocity sensitive keyboard with pads, pitch bend, an arpeggiator and moreover…the software. MPC beats may have a bit of a learning curve but just watch the videos on the tube and you will be up and running in no time….I struggled for about 10 minutes, watched about 30 mins of videos on youtube and was up and running. the results were incredible for the cost and off I went.
Why did I buy this, well, arthritis is setting in and I need another way to scratch my itches….my only single gripe about this is that I loved the approach so much I ended up going out and spending 1000 on an MPC Live Mk2 which takes it to another level…the keyboard is now part of that rig whenever I need keys for rifs etc….Buy it, download the software, get used to it and give it the opportunity to show you how good it is.
As an alternative, if you don’t want keyboard, are on a budget and don’t mind hooking into a laptop, then go for the MPC Studio Mk2 which gives you the full MPC 2 software (Beats is a cut down, but powerful tool) for 200 quid with an interface that whilst not having a touch screen, is also not too difficult to master.
Lastly, honestly, the workflow is NOT that hard to learn…it’s just that people expect too much to quickly and too easily these days….those same people can often get bored quickly and will move onto their next hobby. Just my 0.02

I bought this for my partner and he absolutely loves it. So many features will take a while to get thru.
This review is inspired by ignorant reviews, ESPECIALLY the one that somehow made it to the top, for other ignorant people to read.
This person complains of audio latency regardles of how powerful his “brand new gaming pc” is. And also how difficult it is to get the software bundle installed and setup.
I notice this behavior from people who do not do any research prior to purchasing the product.
For anyone reading this and looking to buy any midi controller, Asio4all is what you need. It’s an audio driver that simulates an audio interface(probably not correct). It’s a given that if you’re producing music, you should have a USB Audio Interface like a Focusrite Solo but if money is tight, this should work. The only downside with Asio4all is that if you have your DAW running, you will not hear any audio from any other programs on your computer like Youtube on your browser. There are workarounds like Voicemeeter Banana. It’s kinda like a mixer. If you’re on Mac, you don’t need any of these.
In your DAW(Ableton, Reaper, Garageband, Fl Studio, Logic etc), set the audio to ASIO and under that option you can select Asio4All. Set it to 44.1khz. There should be a green icon on your taskbar that you can open to set your audio preferences. Click the gear icon to select your audio playback (headphone, speaker etc) Then on the bottom is a slider for your buffer size. The lower the number, the lower the sound delay. But that can also introduce audio glitches if you have a weak computer.
For the software, just register the MPK on the Akai website and it’ll have everything ready for you. 15 minutes tops.
Other stuff:
If you’re a streamer and you’re trying to get your DAW audio to OBS, you need to install REAPLUGS. One of the plugins is called ReaStream. Basically you drop the plugin on the master volume as an fx then set it to “send (to local broadcast)”. Then in OBS open an audio input source. Then you apply Reastream as a filter and set it to receive audio.
10/10 Product. Works as advertised. Reasonable price. Looks good. Feels good, for the price.

Mi sono preso qualche settimana per dare la mia opinione, smanettandoci su un bel po’. Questa la terza generazione di questo controller midi Akai e ci sono svariate migliorie rispetto al precedente. Premetto che secondo me non un prodotto propriamente per principianti. Avere un po’ di conoscenza software oltre che musicale indispensabile. Quindi se la compri come se fosse un giocattolo o perche affascinato dai loop che si vedono su you tube, non farti ingolosire. Ma se entri in questo mondo per imparare, potrebbe essere un ottima scelta, ma come in tutte le discipline ci vuole costanza e dedizione. La”tastiera” non suona senza l’utilizzo di una Daw (Logic, Garageband, Protools, Cubase ecc ecc.) ma all’interno della confezione, utilizzando il codice su sito di Akai si possono scaricare svariati plug-in e la Daw propetaria (MPC Beats). Il rapporto qualit prezzo super. La manifattura e la costruzione molto molto buona. I tasti, anche se un po’ piccini si prestano bene all utilizzo per fare produzione o loop. Sono molto responsivi e oltre all ottimo feeling, la velocity fa bene il suo lavoro. I pad molto sensibili e sopratutto molto dinamici. Particolare il controller per la modulazione e il pitch. Mi ci sto trovando bene. Non cos intuitiva nelle sue features, ma con un po’ di tempo da dedicarci, diventa uno oggettino davvero divertente ma anche indispensabile per la produzione musicale, qualsiasi fosse il genere da produrre. Mi ci trovo bene, davvero molto. A mio parere superiore all Arturia minilab mkII, provare per credere. Super consiglio.

his is not a bad review it’s a good product made we’ll but do not bye this if you think it’s a product you can use as a stand alone item. You need a computwr and hours of spare time to understand the software program. Clearly if you are a stupid buyer, like me you buy this for you son nothing realising the steep learning curve require. Used for 5 hours never used since. U blame the buyer and that was me lol

I use with fl studio. So you don’t need to install the original program it can be set up with a range of programs. It’s good. no problems. for beginners that depends on your use with computers to get any sound you need to simply load a plugin and it’ll map accordingly if no plugin selected no sound.
Great value little keyboard
I bought this to use as part of a portable music production setup, to use with either an iPad Pro (2020 USB-C model) or a laptop.
The only ‘con’ is that this keyboard doesn’t provide an additional USB-C sable, which would eliminate the need for a USB-C hub for use with a recent iPad/Laptop. At this point, I think that this should be standard.
Thankfully, the iPad Pro can power the USB-C hub, and also power the keyboard without the need for external power, but a cable that ended in USB-C would be even more portable.
The build quality seems really good and I love the styling. The keys and drum pads feel good and are responsive. Assignable knobs for controlling synth parameters. It has been working perfectly with Steinberg Cubasis 3 on the iPad.
Great value for money, and very portable. Recommended to anyone that needs a small, high quality keyboard for portable use.
