Bought this camera to use on a ski holiday and the quality of the recordings was amazing. Even in poor weather the sharpness of the images captured was a great surprise and the stability of the recordings when moving at speed is excellent.

I wanted a camera for very occasional use and did not want to pay for a premium brand. I’m glad I didn’t. This camera exceeded my expectations with it’s quality and accessories. I haven’t used it properly yet so I look forward to that.
Great Little Underwater Camera

I really wanted to get an action camera. However, as I only needed it for diving an potentially skiing – which I don’t do too often anyway, the GoPro price seemed quite steep. I started looking for alternatives and based on the reviews I set my eyes on this camera. I am very happy I did! Works just as well as the price justified the small use frequency I have. Very pleased – thank you!

A very small and light camera with many accessories
The EK7000 is light and easy to use camera. It comes with many accessories including a waterproof casing. It produces decent images and videos for outdoor settings with plenty of light. The pack also contains the charger, two batteries various mounting bits, some straps for securing the camera to bicycle helmets, as well as a remote control. For storage, it takes a micro SD card, but you have to get it separately. All in all, it is a nice kit for outdoor action shots!

I haven’t had the opportunity to use this yet but everything seems to work fine. It arrived quickly with lots of accessories and well packaged. Will be using on my trip to Australia next week so I’ll add some images once tested properly.

I shopped around for a long time trying to balance camera quality against price. In the end I went for this camera and I don’t regret my decision at all. Price was great and I haven’t been let down my the quality of the pictures or videos. Another reason I got this camera is because of all the different accessories you can purchase. I’m yet to test them all but for my bike they have been brilliant.

This AKASO EK7000 is light and easy to use. It comes with various accessories, most importantly (for me) the waterproof casing. It produces decent images and videos for outdoor settings with plenty of light. It is not for low-light conditions or close-up photography. There is a WiFi feature, but I have not tried it yet. Small package but BIG value!
The camera is exactly what I needed without paying the premium price of those of a more known brand. However, I do not use the camara in such extreme environments, I am sure it is capable. The small unit appears solid enough and the accessories are not too flimsy. Connections are solid for all accessories. Plus there are a lot of fitting types included.
The small battery charger is a good feature as my own chargers – I have a lot of rechargable batteries and chargers – would not be able to charge these batteries. Plus you get two batteries, so another good point to mention. Once you figure out the menu buttons, it is simple enough to setup the camera for both video and still photos.
The waterproof case appears to actually be waterproof and a relatively solid piece of kit.
It is just a shame that this kind of technology was not available when I was more adventurous. When i used to jump over 16 people on my Chopper Bike for instance LOL – the last ‘people’ were milk crates as nobody wanted to be at the end of the line. I would have loved to heve this camera when hiking the Sierras or, Banff NP or, when travelling on a snow blown Russian highway or, sweating it out on a train across Ukraine or, wandering around Colombia… Oh those days go past so quick don’t they?
I am sure this would satisfy those that are still able to carry out their adventurous activities and excel at the job.

We have a lot of memeries
The colors of the pictures are not fantastic but for the price (that is much smaller than the pro version) you will capture plenty of memories.
Takes some getting used to but overall good equipment for the price paid
Overall: Good piece of kit for the money paid. My very first action camera that I successfully used as an underwater camera (bought with its waterproof case). strongly suggest practicing using it at home before taking it out or you may miss capturing favourite moments.
Positives: Item arrived in good condition with more fixings than I know what to do with; so you can attach this anywhere. I just wanted to use it as an underwater camera rather than attach it to a bike or something. Bought a handheld from amazon and it fitted perfectly. Although the paperwork indicates that no sound will be recorded underwater it actually did record sound as well so that was a plus for me.
Negatives: The picture quality was not as sharp as I thought it might have been. The buttons on the side and front for starting/stopping video recording, switching from video to photo mode & back is not intuitive and there was no obvious indicator to show what mode I was in, so at times I was not sure if I was recording or not.

The accessories this came with have proved most useful, it will be a perfect addition to my new bike and is great for shooting ‘walking’ videos through parks, along beaches etc.

Set up was a bit fiddly on iphone but worked perfectly when done. Picture quality is great and battery was adequate battery life. Used underwater for 2 weeks and the case stayed dry. If your after a cheap action camera this certainly works well for the money.
I havent really put my camera through its paces yet as i purchased it a head of a holiday where i will be swimming a lot and wanted an under water camera. so far, ive used the normal picture function and video and its all been fine. im having a little trouble figuring out the right settings to get the best pictures for me as so far the pictures look a little dull but i think that it going to take some time with trial and error to figure that out. the only reason i didnt give this product 5 stars is because i found it hard to find the user manual online. it would have been soo much easier if a paper copy was included as i think it would help me figure out my camera settings a lot easier.
Works really well and comes with a huge amount of accessories
Initially I bought this as a quick way to inspect my gutters by attaching it to the end of a long pole. The WiFi feature was perfect for this. The mounting hardware it comes with is really well made and strong, no worries about losing the camera when using it. Having 2 batteries is also really welcome as I can charge one while the other is in the camera.

After browsing endless cameras, I chose this one based on a combination if price and reviews. I wasn’t disappointed, it’s a great camera with all the functionality I will ever need.
We took this on holiday and used it in the pool, on the water slides, in the sea and even on a jetski, and it was great. The waterproof case performed perfectly and operation of the camera in the waterproof case is easy. I’ve not used the remote on/off control yet but that’s another handy accessory that I will definitely use and its great that’s included too.
Overall, highly recommended and a great value camera and kit.
Ok so i have seen the glowing 5 star reviews and the terrible 1 star reviews. Also people saying they where basically bribed with free gifts for 5 star reviews, all I can say is this is my honest opinion after 3 days use amd I wasn’t even offered any free stuff 🙁
FIRSTLY, I would of given this camera 5 stars. The only reason I didnt is because there is hardly any info that comes with it. Basic little handbook. Everything I know about this camera is from watching you tube videos and independent website reviews.
The camera is as described. For 50 quid it’s perfect. I’m not a pro but I don’t think it’s 4k but for 50 quid like I said its perfect. The video quality is decent playback quality is decent. Sound with case on is muffled. Sound with case off is good. For 50 quid it’s what I expected nothing more nothing less. Like I said I’m not a pro.
Bought it to take on holiday. Mainly to use in water. Tested it out at home over 3 days. Batteries are fine they charge good, each one last about 40 mins. Use a 32gb sd card nothing bigger. A proper one not a cheap one. Also the app works fine i saw alot of reviews saying it doesnt work. Wierdly It’s not on the play store, so I had to email support and explained i cant find the app. They where really quick to respond via email and very helpful. They said it is under maintenance and will be up soon, but they could email me a direct link to download the app, which I did and it worked first time for me. That was a major reason I wanted the camera. The fact I could just take my footage from the cam straight to my phone.
I haven’t used any of the accessories, there’s loads of them. I bought a floating handle for underwater use and a selfie stick separately.
All in all I’m very happy with this camera, for now. We shall see how it goes.

I was very pleased with the speed of delivery. The Camera came well packaged and was easy to setup to use out of the box. I have not used it properly yet, only around the house but hope to give it a good try on a day out soon. From what I did record in-doors it seems good for the price paid. After reading reviews I went for the EK7000 as was not too complicated or as expensive as other makes. It comes with quite a few accessories so will have to work out what they all do. So far so good.
Used this camera for my holiday, I was worried it wasn’t going to work or that the accessories were not going to be useful, but I’m so glad I purchased this, it’s like knock off go pro. Me and my partner used this for our holiday to a water slide resort and took many videos on it! Downloading the videos were easy to do and couldn’t be any simpler! I think it would’ve been nice if they sold the SD card with the camera just so people know what type of SD card to get, because believe me to leave it till the very last day to get an SD card to fit the camera (ending up going through 4 different types- because I didn’t look properly – my own fault) but very good camera, can’t wait for the next holidays to use this on!

It feels and looks quite clunky and bulky on the bike helmet, however, the helmet option ensures better camera security post ride. No faffing with a handlebar mount.

Used for snorkeling in Thailand so far. Nice and compact, easy to download images to the PC after. I know it’s mostly designed to be attached to something, but it would benefit from having a lanyard or something to hold put round your wrist to stop you dropping it in the water!! (oops)

It’s a great item for the price you pay. Works fine for your holiday pictures and slowly filmed videos.
Though I found pictures looking a bit cold, but it can be easy fixed with a bit of editing.
If you’re trying to use it to film a high pace sport videos might be a bit disappointed as frame rate is not fantastic.

Good camera for rear facing bicycle camera
I bought this camera to pair with a EK7000 Pro that I already had mounted to the bike. I opted to not buy another pro because image stabilization is less of an issue for a seat camera. This camera does the job well! I record at 1080p 60 fps and get around 90 mins run time (which is a little less than the pro, which gets about 2 hours). Never had any issues reading a licence plate of a passing car, even without the image stabilization features. The waterproof case that comes with the camera is extremely robust and well sealed, so I have no worries about even very heavy rain. My only tiny niggle is the camera doesn’t remember the time and date once you remove the battery, so you have to set it before each ride if you want correct timestamps. This is made a little trickier by the fact this camera doesn’t have a touch screen like the pro version. That aside, for the price this is an excellent camera.

Great little camera for the price.
Took this on a motorcycle tour of Croatia and wasn’t expecting much of a good picture but I was pleasantly surprised. Twin batteries with a separate charger and a remote is great at this price. Image stabilisation when the revs got high went a bit wobbly but at low and medium speeds it was fine. Picture quality is good as a snap shot and the app works well. I used a class 10 128gb sandisk card that was double the max quoted with no issues.

Had a few trys on my bike and the Kid’s scooter. They love it too.
App on My phone is also so handy. Haven’t tried underwater yet, but holiday coming up soon. Can’t wait.
Good Quality, Bad battery
This is really good for the price. Decent quality with decent FPS, and easy to use GUI. Only issue is the battery, it doesn’t last much longer than an hour before it needs recharging. It does come with 2 interchangeable batteries, but I charged the second one previously to swap out after the first one died, but they seem to be both dead, even after charging them for Hours, and only using one, so the batteries don’t last long, and don’t seem to hold charge. However this is the only drawback, as the product itself is fantastic. I have used mine in the Rain with the casing it comes with, seals brilliantly. Microphone doesn’t have great range or quality, but anything I said, was clearly recorded, but I have mine on a chin mount. Comes with tones of mounting adapters.
I’d rate 5 stars if the battery was better, even thought the microphone isnt the best.
Just the job as a bicycle camera
I bought this as bicycle camera that can record my commuting journeys. It does this job well. After watching a Youtube video (from Akaso), I worked out how to attach the camera to my handlebars. It was very easy but the thing comes with so many accessories and fitting components that at first I was confused – actually it is very impressive that they include all these fixtures, seems to cover any eventuality. Anyway, it sits there on my handlebars now and records everything. Hopefully I will never have a need to actually watch the recording – they are there in case I am hit and need to claim on someone’s insurance. Happened to a friend so I thought it best to get a camera. The price was very reasonable in comparisons to the top of the line competition. Seems to do the job well. I am very pleased with my purchase.
Fun little camera that does everything it needs to do for a fraction of the price of the bigger brands. Came with a bunch of accessories, which was nice. I appreciated having 2 batteries included as well. The waterproof case works perfectly. Handy being able to connect to the wifi to upload pics from the camera to my phone. Only thing it doesn’t seem to do well is take a picture from the phone, (you can press the capture button on your phone but the picture came out a bit distorted) but not something I expect to use, really. It’s a little bit annoying to change modes i.e. from photo to video you have to push the mode button quite a few times, but that’s not a deal breaker. All in all, I’m very happy with my purchase!
Short battery life
The quality of this camera is good and I’m happy with the picture quality even at 1080p. But the battery only lasts for around an hour. It does come with 2 batteries but as most of my rides are longer than this the camera will stop working before I get home. I bought the camera for the sole pupose of recording any incidents while out on my bike which unfortunately are increasing with the numer of idiots on the road.

I like that it’s easy to use, and there’s no proprietary software needed to process the videos. I use it in a baited remote underwater video showing life on the seabed, mostly in a marina in UK, but sometimes in more exotic locations as in the photo. I also use it to record surveys of catshark eggcases in UK in a shallow and rocky gulley. The camera is robust enough to take quite rough treatment, and when the treatment is too rough it doesn’t cost a fortune to replace. It’s only drawback is that on the rare occasions when I’ve wanted to take still pictures underwater (when my Olympus TG has run out of power) it’s not so good at close-up shots.

So, firstly, unlike some of the 5 star reviews/comments, I have not been bribed to write this! No freebies offered and nobody has asked me to write this. I was undecided as to whether or not to buy a GoPro for my recent heli-snowboarding trip in Alaska. It was an epic trip and I wanted to capture this on film. However, a GoPro was going to cost 400, whereas this was 50! 2 of the others in my group bought GoPros and I bought this. We all downloaded and created videos of the adventure when we got home and shared them with each other on social media. Suffice to say that the videos created from a GoPro were no better than from this. It was really easy too, so don’t believe all the reviews about a bad user interface. The menu system on the camera is quirky but easy enough to work out and use. Then, once back home I just popped the micro SD card into my MacBook Air, uploaded the videos to iMovie and created my masterpieces. I didn’t use their software or app for this, so cannot comment on this, but you don’t need it anyway. The files are recognisable on my MacBook and in iMovie, so all good. Finally, I took the advice of other reviewers and shot all of my footage in HD 1028, rather than 4K, and sure enough the image stabilisation worked well. Oh, and lastly, it comes with loads of attachments, that are identical to those on a GoPro, so things like selfie sticks etc all fit fine. My advice is to pay 1/8 of the price of a GoPro and buy this instead!

I purchased a second camera for my brother as I was so impressed. Customer service is first class. Delivered on time. The clear waterproof camera case is superb. I would certainly reccomend this product and the sellers attention to detail is commendable. There is an online support and a programme with wifi upload etc. Not used this properly just yet but I think it will be exactley what I need. I am not too good with technology but this camera is so simple to use and a quality item.

Great little camera
I’ve had the Akaso action camera for a while now and can say in both indoor and outdoor light levels the video quality is fantastic. I was also pleased with the many extras, such as helmet and bike mount, both of which are solid and should stand the test of time. Audio quality is great but reduced when in the waterproof case as expected. The camera has some great shooting modes and the app is easy to connect to and navigate. The battery drains quite quickly shooting in 4k. But thankfully you get two. So one can always be on charge. And anyhow, for the size of the camera you can’t expect all day battery life. In conclusion, the camera is beyond my expectations for the price and a real contender against cameras more than twice the price. Highly recommended
Great Little Camera. Even a kid can use it.
Purchase this for my 10-year-old son, he has managed to use it very easily, the camera stands up well against all those little knocks and drops from kids. good battery life and last a couple of hours, and come with all basic accessories which are a good starter kit and two batters to make sure the fun does not stop. Have used it to film a series of youtube short videos and animations. Only one small issue, the camera struggle to focus correctly in poor light, but nothing a handheld touch can’t resolve.

Good quality camera and case plus a bag full of accessories to help you make best use, whether on dry land or underwater. I have tested the camera in water but haven’t used it in the sea yet, that will come later in the summer.
The instructions for use are clear and easy to follow and the controls are simple to master. There are so many connections possible with the bundle that comes with the camera, it will easily attach to your bike, an extension pole, tripod, dive mask, they’ve thought of everything really. Really happy with this purchase after a bad experience from a rival “waterproof” camera manufacturer. Highly recommended for price, quality and customer service!
Good for a budget go pro
I bought this camera to use on our Honeymoon as we love beaches and pools but always feel like we’re missing out on amazing pictures in the sea. My first piece of advice would be to test the waterproof casing without the camera inside it to make sure it’s airtight. Luckily ours was and we’ve had no problems with it in water.
It seems very straightforward to use, Took a bit of fiddling to get used to it but nothing sinister.
The biggest problem I had was syncing the camera to an app, using an app meant you could look at your pictures on a better quality screen, You can view them on the actual camera itself however because it’s such a compact camera it can be difficult to see the quality. I tried every app I could see listed in the description and even those listed by other buyers and none worked. However when I got in touch with the manufacturer they recommended another app ‘XDV’ which seems to work fine. Another option to look at the pictures would be to take the SD card out and look at it on a computer. But that’s not an option when you’re taking the camera on holiday.
Overall I would recommend the camera to someone on a budget who isn’t overly tech savvy, that being said looking back I do wish I had shopped around more. For the price I paid I’m very happy with it, but do you wish i’d done a bit more research.

Just as good as competing cameras
I was looking at buying a camera at 5 times the price of this one until I saw this, I purchased it and have to say I am extremely happy I went with the cheaper camera as its just as good as the leading brand amazing 4k video, clear as a bell HD picture taking it is by far the best camera I have ever used 5*
Does what it says in the tin!
Brought this camera for my Son, he uses it to record his goalkeeping during matches to then look back on afterwards an identify with his coach areas to improve on. The footage is clean with no distortion. He’s used it in all weathers and used the tri pod and had it tethered to the cross bar. It’s got wet, muddy blown over and hit with a football and still works fine every time. Good battery duration and proven durability. Would highly recommend, especially for sports personnel or people wanting to film extreme sports etc.
working well on my bike
i bike to and from work (weather permitting) nearly every day, and a few of the parts of my trip see me with right-of-way but clueless/careless drivers ignoring that fact, i’ve nearly been knocked off a few times so i decided to cover myself with video evidence incase i ever do have a bump.
the camera came with a ton of mounting options, you can pretty much mount this thing anywhere,
and having two batteries means that i can switch them out each week without any missed days.
the picture quality is good, even bounncing up and down on my handlebars, license plates are clearly visible, a great pourchase, and so much cheaper than alternatives.

Could have been a 5 *
Disappointed with these units not being able to fully work with android / Samsung. Yet work 100% with apple. Disappointing as the album will not load up on android.

Perfect compact camera for holiday and everyday use!
The image quality on this little gem is absolutely clear and amazing. The little clip attachment makes filming so much easier hands free-very convenient. The AKASO EK7000 4K WIFI Sports Action Camera is great! You have the ability to either take pictures or videos on land and also up to 98 feet of water. There is a handy wristband you can wear to take remote pictures or videos and you can also download their App where you can take remote pictures/videos and playback content. There are many accessories provided that allow you to attach the camera which includes a waterproof case. I put a tissue in my case and submerged in the case and the tissue was completely dry after a few minutes. You can select picture resolution and a number of other options which makes the camera take better pictures. The GoPro is much more expensive than this camera and the quality of the AKASO EK7000 is excellent.
value of money
As i bought this item, i wasn’t quite sure if its going to be good or not but the camera is good if you consider the price. the camera didn’t upset me when it arrived. It comes with a lot’s of accessories that can allow you to mount your camera anywhere. However, I wish if the camera the camera could comes with vented helmet strap mount (because the way my helmet is) as it only comes with a straight helmet strap mount. however, the straight helmet strap still did it’s job on my helmet. I was surprised as the camera came with 2 battery and i was really happy about it. in the end, if i be really honest, its a good camera for the price you pay and buying it, is worth of money as the camera quality is good by it self, plus you get everything with the camera to get you started straight away.

I weighed up all the features and non-sponsored online reviews – I know other cameras feature EIS which this one doesn’t and take high capacity (64gb and above) memory cards whereas this only takes a 32gb max, but the EIS I have used on other budget cams is awful (unless you dial the resolution right down). If needed, you can use software to remove shake which is arguably the same or better quality than most budget EIS systems.
The key points that swayed me to this were (The Pros)
– Price/Value
– Good waterproof case
– Image quality (I find that 1080/60fps is ideal and records great detail smoothly (eg car number plates))
– Battery Life – completed 2 x 50 minute bike rides on one charge and still had battery left
– 2 x batteries and separate charger included (NB – you may need to reset date/time after each battery change)

– No EIS
– 32gb max memory card capacity
– The 4k setting has a low frame rate and can be blocky (1080/60 is great though)

Great action camera, great value
Bought this to use for cycling, paddle boarding and kayaking. So far only used it for cycling and pictures, the other sports will wait till warmer weather.
For the price, this is a good value camera and great gopro alternative – plenty of items in the box such as several different mounts, wrist wrap, wrist remote, spare battery, lens cloth etc.
Picture quality is fairly good as was image stability. There’s inbuilt WiFi and it was easy to set up transferring photos to my phone from the camera. All in all, am very happy with it and can’t wait for better weather to make more use of it.
If you want to use this camera to Vlog on a daily basis then I’d say the quality isn’t great (both picture and audio) and I wouldn’t recommend it. However, if like me you couldn’t justify the cost of a GoPro but wanted to record underwater (with the relevant attachments) then this camera offers exceptional value for money. For ~ 50 I was able to record some amazing memories swimming with dolphins, and avoid the worry/risk of dropping my phone in the sea (if I’d used a waterproof case). Have no idea what I’ll be able to use it for day-to-day, but for the footage on that trip alone it was completely worth it.

Good for starters
Bought for my 8 year old for xmas and so far so good.
When connecting to the app on your phone you have to load it up each time Wayne’s just pairing which is a faff especially when using a gimbal but so far seems alright.
It is a budget camera but seems great so far!
It doesn’t have touch screen as indicated in the review score though?

Easy to use, easy to start/stop on a go. Dropped few times, still worked after. Reasonable video quality (as an evidence). Used 32 gig memory, enough for a few hours. Epoxy glue (2-part) was best to fix on helmet. PS. After 5 years, Camera just didn’t start one day. Will buy same one as it is easy to use and trustful for many years.

Great Produc
I bought the Akaso GoPro for my son as he has decided to learn how to skate and wanted to record his journey in order to document it on you tube. The packaging was great and the product was well protected. We had a few problems initially mounting the Gopro onto the helmet as it came off. However the order included a second and this latest the full day. I did notice that it did not sit flush to the helmet. Overall my son was really happy, he got some great footage and the picture quality was fantastic. I was also impressed with the price as the GoPro was great value for money. Thank you.

I ordered this product on a Wednesday evening and was given a delivery date of the following Monday. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived on the Friday. The number of accessories packaged with the camera is very impressive and the second battery is definitely a bonus. As it happened I was planning to video a 4km swim in the local river being carried out by my triathlon club the next morning. The club has a GoPro already and one of the other members had another budget brand action camera. We used all three on the morning and got some great shots in the water. The waterproof case definitely protects the camera well and when it accidentally fell off a kayak it just floated there until we retrieved it. It was great to be able to compare the video from the three cameras afterwards. The other budget camera was definitely the poor relation of the three. The pictures were grainy and not particularly clear. The footage from the GoPro was probably marginally better, but only when we played the two videos side by side., which is to be expected considering the GoPro camera cost nearly 10 times more than the Akaso model. I was absolutely delighted with the video from the Akaso camera and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who wants a decent budget action camera.
