I like it as is not too bulky to storage, has lots of accessories and is light to clean my stairs. The suction power is enough for what I need.
The only downside I found is the cable. Mot long enough to cover all my stairs distance. I have to stop cleaning half way and plug the vacuum downstairs. No a big issue but would be great to have 1 more meter of cable.

For a small basic vacuum cleaner this has very good suction. It comes with a brush set for corners and curtains etc. Great value from Amazon.

This is a convenient decent hoover. It has good suction power at first and was able to do a couple rooms, but it is medium suction power after a few uses. If you need a quick hoover to clean buy it. I am having it as a temporary tide over hoover for now.

Initial thought once I unpacked the vacuum was it was a little small. Considering I didn’t pay much for it and it’s for the office, I thought I’d give it a go. I was mightily impressed that it picked up all the little bits off the fall in one swoop. My older 2200w VAX struggled to pick anything up and I’d find myself going over the same spots over and over to pick up the little bits. I guess it must have really needed replacing and this wasn’t a bad choice.

The carpet head was sucking up the vinyl in the kitchen area, so it’s best to swap over to the hard floor head.

    Really impressive!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is important as reading through the reviews I see several different vacuum cleaners reviewed not just the one I was looking for.

    Pros- small lightweight powerful suction

Cons- can’t find replacement filters yet due to Amazon recommendation of accessories including the bagged version in the search (the black bagged vacuum in the video) this isn’t my hover the bags won’t fit get a grip Amazon sort your products out to separate reviews and accessories.

Check the reviewer has the vacuum you want before reading their reviews !

Does the job adequately and easy to use and a positive has a instructions manual .
Have been using it for past two weeks and my carpets are nice and clean .Does edging and corners brilliantly and have no cause for to complain .Looking for a inexpensive vacuum cleaner then this is one to consider
A few weeks on and have empty dust/ dirt chamber and still working ok . Remember this is cheap and cheery so don’t expect a Dyson which is ridiculously over priced .

I was used to a 2Kw hoover with amazing suction but that died a few years ago. I bought this Amazon machine and was surprised at the suction which is fantastic!! VARIABLE suction is brilliant. Telescopic tube is fab and easy to use. The handle end of the tube is very lightweight and lovely to use – Standard 32mm I think!. The wide floor brush unit is good quality (need to turn suction down most of the time using this). Almost all the other accessories are a waste of time – My criticisms are: Needs a horse hair round head brush (available on Amazon separately) for dusting surfaces. Cord needs to be 3 meters longer, minimum. Flexible tube needs to be longer – can’t reach top of units or curtains without carrying the machine and standing on a chair. Having said all this I think it is amazing value for money and almost as good as the machines costing a heck of a lot more – as far as I can see. Suggestion: Try this one first and then think about the expensive ones – Their tools and flashy heavy multi-control handles are a pain in the rear!

Very light weight which was good for me due to a bad back , suction was great and has a dial to control power , compact bagless see through compartment which allows you to see when it needs emptying, cord could of been a little longer to allow for stairs as I don’t have a power point at the bottom of my stairs but managed by plugging at top and working back wards , very good affordable price so all in all very pleased with the product highly recommended

Not really one for writing reviews unless an item is particulary bad or has exceed expectations. In this case it is the latter. Our last machine (hoover) gave up over a month ago and I spent a good few days looking round for a replacement before I decided on a purchase. I already had the Amazon Basics 1.5L version, for use in the garage/workshop, and had had to use this machione whilst looking for a replacement. Was reasonably impressed with performance of the smaller machine so decided to order the 3.0L version, I figured that even if it was no good I’d only have spent 54 and not wasted too much money!
As it turns out, this machine is brilliant. The suction power is phenomenal! I have never had the motor speed on anything other than the lowest setting and it is still more powerful than our previous machine. I noticed that some of the reviews mention that the suction power noticeably decreases after a few months but all these reviews seem to refer to the bagless version. So far I’m well pleased with it and it does a wonderful job all round the house.
Be careful when ordering replacement bags, make sure you order bags for the 3.0L machine. Many pages state they are suitable but are often for the smaller 1.5L machine only. I have found that the Menalux 4000 bags are the correct ones and fit perfectly.
For the price a real bargain and it performs just aswell, if not better, as many more expensive vacuums.

My Mrs bought this and, to be honest, I was very sceptical that it would be any good. However, for 60 it’s actually quite decent. It doesn’t have as much suction as our old Dyson (which had a replacement high power motor fitted) but it does the job and is very light / compact so it’s good for cleaning stairs.
So, is it the most powerful? Nope. Does it do the job? Yes, and it does it well. Is it well worth 60? Definitely!

Perfect for me as I’m disabled, it’s a great hover,it’s so easy to use, the hose has a button on it wich you press to make it go longer or shorter,! On other hovers when it’s time to empty you have to pull the hover apart to change the bag wich I find a right faff but when this hover fills up it’s so easy to empty just click the handle and compartment releases then hold it above the bin press release and it drops out into the bin. The only thing is the cords length is a bit short but it’s made up by the fact that the cord also winds itself back in really quickly by touch button also. So all round I think it’s a great buy! I definitely recommend

I think the only cons I have found to this vacuum cleaner are the cord length (very short) and the space it takes up to store due to the hose (small machine but where you hook the hose in to store makes it bulky). The suction is powerful, it’s very easy to empty and its light.

I am extremely happy with everything about this purchase – overall quality, ease of assembly and cleaning. and of course, performance. This was the third cylinder vacuum cleaner I tried and not only does it give me the best performance of the three, but is also half the price of the others I tried! Super long cable, the various attachments and hose all fit together and pull apart easily and the suction power is awesome. It comes with several attachments (and more than other models at twice the price). Great value, thoroughly recommended.

In April 2020, my beloved Miele hoover fell to bits. Literally. A big lump of plastic facing near the back fell off. It still worked, so I stuck it back on with gaffer tape. But then my grandson went on and on about something he said I’d hoovered up, so I took the tape off to look….and then I couldn’t get it lined up again. So I bought a Duronic bagless hoover. Didn’t like it. Had to do a lot of coaxing to make it hoover up cat fur. It was horrible to clean out too. So when the head kept falling off as I used it… Yep, lovely excuse to go back to a hoover with BAGS. And I found this one. I didn’t know there was an Amazon Basics range….
This is a lovely looking hoover. However shallow that is, it does matter to me. It’s very compact, very light, a lovely, shiny black, with shiny chrome pipes and easy to understand knobs and switches which operate well. It has a neat handle in front and another in the back. And it comes with a washable, reuseable bag – mmm, not for me – and two paper ones which are fairly easy to fit. SO good.
I got hoovering straight away. It seems to deal with cat fur well, and biscuit crumbs… The cord doesn’t shoot across the room like it’s possessed. And it fits in my crowded cupboard with room to spare. I love it. So far, so really excellent.

This vacuum has great suction, good array of tools, it get’s under the furniture without moving it, which is huge when you are 68 and female, stores neatly, mine it the bagless version, some reviews were for a previous model, only downside is I can’t attach the small tools to the hose, but that is probably operator error, the cable could be longer but I have a small house so it’s ideal, and I can’t rate the stairs because I don’t have any, but all in all I feel it is definitely worthy of 5*s – thank you Amazon Basics, top product 🙂

Over the decades I’ve generally stuck to the smiley faced vacuum we all know and love.
I purchased this vacuum expecting half the performance. But boy was I wrong! The suction on this thing is crazy, I’ve had to turn it to minimum suction and open the vent on the handle just to be able to push it over the carpet. Never experienced such suction! Could be a downside if your struggling with upper body strength mind.

The one thing I find annoying from time to time is the length of the lead. I understand its to make it more compact and lighter. But I feel it would be more practical if it were 6m plus.

I am a professional domestic cleaner, and a Henry Hoover has been my number one vacuum of choice for years, as they are unbreakable, reliable, strong suction, extra long cable, can manage big bits and so rarely block, and have great accessories.

But I am a cleaner who walks from job to job, with my equipment including vacuum in a trolley, and I decided I wanted to try something smaller and lighter. I read that these were. Which best buy, and one reviewer said it was as good as a Henry, so I decided to give it a go.

I selected the wired (can’t risk running out of charge on a job) and bagged (unbagged is too messy and a faff to empty) and I noticed this version seems to have more 5 star reviews than the other models.

So far, I’ve used it for about 50 hours of cleaning, and so far so good. It is indeed significantly smaller and lighter than my Henry, and probably as powerful.

The only thing I dislike is the dusting brush, which has short nylon bristles and doesn’t compare to the long horse hair Henry brush, but neither does any other brand I have used. It does a slightly annoying thing, where if I flip it up/down whole dragging it along, it turns itslef off, and I have to switch it back on, but I can live with that. The cable isn’t as long as my Henry, but it does sit easily on staircases so I don’t need it to be as long.

The long handlebar extends up and down at the click of a button, which makes it really easy to fold down small, perfect for cleaners like me, or if you want to take it away somewhere like a caravan, but need the height of an upright hoover.

As it’s so compact, the bags fill up much more quickly than my Henry, and I think the bags available are quite steep (about 9 for 3-5 from various retailers) but if just using at home, and not filling them quickly, this is probably fine. It comes with a reusable fabric bag, which is not easy to empty, but I put on a mask and rubber glove to empty it to save buying lots of bags.

So far, so good. It is certainly adequate as a professional domestic cleaner. I am concerned that some reviews said it quickly lost suction, so I will report back if this happens.

I would say that overall, this is a good little vacuum.
The suction is decent and it does the job. Isn’t too heavy or too big. My only qualm would be that the suction strength can’t be turned down which can be a pain when vacuuming some surfaces.

Rugs – there is a special head/accessory for rugs which is good and overcomes the issues of not being able to turn down the suction strength

Laminate – suction is so strong that it can be difficult to vacuum laminate but still does a decent job. Best to open the valve to reduce suction and stop the vacuum sticking to the floor

Having to change the vacuum heads/accessories for different surfaces is a bit fiddly, hence, I would have preferred the option to change suction strength. Overall, it does a good job and value for money

I’ve had this little vacuum for a while now and it hasn’t lost any suction power, still performs excellently and was well worth the money. Clearly very durable and the cord is just about long enough for my apartment to get in all the rooms without switching plugs. I would say the one minor issue is that it does fill up quite quickly, so could perhaps benefit from a larger container otherwise the suction power is reduced if it needs to be emptied. Aside from this though it is great!

Okay, so worked awesome at first. Very light so it can flip easily, but I wanted it light.
Suction dropped, I checked and I had not closed the cylinder properly. Gave it a push. Clicked it on and the suction was back!
So far I’m happy. Some say the suction dies, I’ve used it 3 times with no issues. Maybe it will get less but so far I’m happy. Be aware I don’t have carpets. Though I do have some rugs. Cleans both with no issues!

Works a charm. Wanted a cheap, durable cleaner that we wouldn’t cry over if and when it falls apart. Amazon basics came up trumps! Works well for its small size. Does fill up quickly (obvs) and the cord is laughably short to be used as a room cleaner but for cleaning up a small area after some intensive DIY it works a treat. Currently looking at spare filters – this seems to be an issue as there is no specific replacement but there are many, many out there – something will fit 😀

    Good:
    – Great suction
    – Very useful accessories to suck dust from various places, not just the floor.
    – Bin is extremely easy to empty as compare to previous ones i used from Hoover and other brands.
    – Best thing is ability to control the suction power which is hard to find in many brands.
    – Does not take much space in the store.
    – Simply amazing at this price.
    – Great for carpets too but you need to run it on high power (using the controller).
    Bad:
    – Just that the extension rod/pipe is little bulky but I’d not bother about it compare to its “good” features.

    Overall: Highly recommended.

This is an excellent vacuum. It is light, manoeuvrable and quiet. It is really well designed for storage and the head can clip onto the rear or underneath of the machine so that it can be parked flat or upright. You can adjust the suction with the vent on the handle or the motor control on the body of the machine. I would recommend the bagged version, there are both paper and fabric bags depending on what you want to use it for. It’s a perfect fit. It would have been given 5 stars but the cable is rather short.

Love this Hoover. It is light and very powerful. The power is easily adjusted though. Only thing I don’t like is the tools have very short lengths, so not great for reaching into crevices etc.

This is a vac for the stairs, it’s ideal for this it has great suction and is very light which is what I wanted. Even when used in rooms it’s very good overall its an excellent vacuum cleaner for the price.

Love how quietly this works- no need to worry about waking up the kids or disturbing spouse’s phone calls. Very light & handy to use, compact to store. Cleans up well on the carpet ,as well as floor. Wasn’t sure while buying this as I’ve always used the big brands & bought this as a quick fix, but this was a purchase worth making. So glad I bought it.

    Cheap compared to other competitors.
Not the biggest bin, longest lead, greatest suction, but if you want that, you’re paying much higher prices.
Had bought an expensive model, great suction, so much so even on lowest power it was VERY hard to try to move across carpet.
The basics model is great value for money. It just does the job without fuss and to a very acceptable standard.
Whether suction level will be maintained remains to be seen, other than that, recommended.

I have had this hoover all of a couple of days and hugely under estimated how good it would be.
I’ve had all types of brand hoovers over the years including Miele, Vax ect all expensive hoovers and this one surpases all.
It’s price is budget, it’s a nifty little one yet very powerful suction, my carpet has never been so clean! it’s so lightweight, very easy to move around- the wheels are designed well so it dosen’t get jammed as you pull it round unlike other hoovers, the cord is super long, it’s not too noisy and so easy to empty the drum.
very very impressed I actually enjoyed using it and it’s going to make my housework so much easier.
It tucks away neatly in my cupboard and has great attachments to go with it too.
A delightful to use, powerful little hoover for an amazing price.

Very light and manoeuvrable, great suction, and very cheap. My partner (a vacuum cleaner geek) was so impressed he immediately ordered one for his own place as well. My last vacuum was a Vax Blade, which was great but broke down immediately the warrantee expired (a common problem, judging by reviews). At under 50 this one only has to last 6 months and it’ll already be much better value for money.

I’ve always bought a top of the range Miele, with a suction so strong, you can pick a car up with!!!!
The Miele sadly passed away recently. Should I spend 100’s on a new one, or give this too good to be true basic little hoover a go?
Well, I went for it, and basically, for the price it is pretty damned good.
The suction is good, not mad like some reviews say, but perfect for the job. The lead is shorter than I’d like, but don’t let that put you off.
I’ve only had it a few days, but initial reaction is once again, for the amazing price, it’s a very good buy.
I write honest reviews, and I’d say here and now, if you don’t want to spend silly money, but want a good hoover, that does the job, with no bags to worry about, then definitely give this mighty little machine a go.

I bought this to replace my old Amazon Basics upright vacuum cleaner that has served me well for 4 years. This little gem is really light and easy to manoeuvre but the suction in this is second to none. It practically lifts the carpet! Doing the stairs was a breeze, no heavy vacuum to lug around. I just love this little vacuum cleaner!

Had to get something quick to replace my expensive vacuum that broke. Really didn’t expect this to be any good but have been impressed by it’s suction. Lightweight and bagless which is good. Don’t think it manouvres very well, it tends to just fall over when you try to turn it round. Also, although the main unit itself is small the length of the hose and how it’s stored does require more room than you might think to store.

It’s light. It’s small and it’s 50 quid . Good on stairs as it’s so light small and tidy. Suction is decent. It’s not the strongest but it does the job. If you want noticeably more power than this you’re going to be spending at least three times the price . I’ve had mine a couple of weeks and can’t say if it will last but so far so good.

    1) Stairs – Due to width of vacuum and length of hose it can be difficult to do the stairs. A bit of a balancing act. As long as you are beneath it to stop it from falling it’s only a small inconvenient balancing act due to the lightness of the product.
    2) Wheels – on the carpet attachment the wheels are too small meaning for a shallow carpet you are left dragging the hose across the floor when it should really be wheeled. The suction can be too much in this case and so it requires a knack with the air inlet/outlet halfway up the hose – open slightly to reduce suction power. Still drags but at least it can move.

Omg I don’t know how I ever managed without this perfect little vacuum cleaner, it sucks the carpets off the floor, it’s got all the tools, it’s lightweight and so easy to carry. It has a large tank and HEPA filter in it. The cords a really good length and rewinds into the hoover for storage. Also it is such good quality, the pipe is metal not plastic, the hose is thick but flexible plastic it will last ages, it also has a carpet head and a hard floor head combined and a separate wood floor brush. I’d recommend to anyone as I’ve used other big branded Hoover’s and never been this satisfied.

It arrived the next day. Wow. Light and powerful. My friend recommended it. She said it is the best. It is small snd light. My brother who is a super high critic used it and was impressed. It is not too noisy either when using it. I am use to non cord but got fed up paying a fortune for a battery that had lasted a year. More cost then this.

Photos show current what I hoovered and final one shows what was picked up from a room thats not used and my hallway, ive 2 small dogs and oh my what a suction sure hope it stays this strong
Can’t give a review on stairs as don’t have any but the cable very short could be longer overall happy so far, will update in few months

shame didn't get it for £30 as one review I read said what they paid

I am very pleased with this powerful vacuum cleaner. I keep it in my sons room which is in the loft and I couldn’t keep carrying mine up and down the stairs so this is a second Hoover specifically for up stairs. It took me a while to work out where to fix the attachments as the clasp is very strong, but it is very useful to have them on the pole ready to inter change when needed. The only negative I can find so far is that it doesn’t roll that well and tends to turnover rather than roll after me which can be a pain but I am working on it!
Considering the price I think this was a very good buy.

    Very powerful.

Needed a cheap corded hoover as the old one broke down. This has got good suction (though that falls away fairly quickly once the bag starts to fill), it is very lightweight. The bag is fairly small so needs to be emptied fairly often, picks up dirt pretty well but dog hair in carpets remains a bit of a challenge, it will pick it up but requires a bit of elbow grease going back and forth.

Excellent value for money however if you have a large house or pets, you might want something with a larger capacity and a turbo brush head

Really strong suction. However with the standard head supplied it was so strong it was unusable on my wooden floor (too hard to push as suction stuck it to the floor even on min suction). Instead, I used the brush head on the wood floor and then on rough flagstones, which worked ok and easily picked up larger stuff from the cracks. However that head is pretty flimsy plastic and I’m not sure how long the brush parts will last.

The hose pipe stick is 35mm at end, so I the KEEPOW Vacuum Cleaner Replacement head to use instead, which works very well on carpet, but I haven’t gone back and tested on the wooden floor yet.

It’s a very light Vacuum and I found it easy to manoeuvre. It may flip over if you drag it round too quickly, but it’s easy enough to kick back over the right way.

Wow what a hoover…I have 3 big thick rugs that nothing could get through I nearly got rid of them after using a couple of different makes of vacuums…but not now this little beauty socks them of the floor thankfully it has a suction control and being a bagged product doesn’t loose suction, no emptying. It also works brilliantly on my tiles too. For a bigger model it’s really light and easy to maneuver. So for the older generation perfect too.

Absolutely fine so far. Not too heavy ( which matters to me!) & gets the job done. As with all corded vacs, doing the stairs is a bit awkward but this one really isn’t too bad. Suction power is great! I previously had a cordless vac which abruptly stopped sucking anything. Hoping that I could get it repaired (), I bought this as emergency backup & I am completely satisfied with it.

Literally amazing. I have bagged miele and wanted another for our play room but didn’t want to spend that much so combed through reviews of vacuums and gave this one a go. This is AS good as my miele just a bit noisier. I only discovered in the last few.months (I’m 31) that baggless vacuums are rubbish in comparisons to bagged and so much cleaner. They seem to take 10 times the amount of dirt too, I vacuum every day and change the bag once 4-5 weeks opposed to every other day with baggless! Highly recommend the vacuum, I might even get another (we have a large bungalow and it’s just so handy to have a vacuum in the corner of rooms!).
