This trash can replaced the horrible, bane of my existence. The old hinged can had a lip and screws that caught on the bag and I had to fight nearly every time to remove the bag. The new can has a plastic insert-liner which holds the bag and lifts out easily. We should have gotten this months ago.
This trash can is exactly what I was looking for. Has a pedal function for opening the lid without using your hands and you can lock the lid open to change the bag. Has a large capacity and looks attractive. It appears to be extremely sturdy and well built.

Rapport qualit/prix, je suis tout fait satisfaire par cette poubelle. I shopped for several months as I felt that the prices were high for a stainless steel trash can. We really enjoy the foot pedal and slow closing of the lid. It’s also a greater capacity in 20 gallons vs. our previous 13 gallon can. It’s worth every penny!

Really like this trash can. Replaced one for which the rod operating the foot pedal broke the plastic housing in the lid. Since the mechanism is enclosed in this item, I don’t expect that to happen with this one. Sturdy and quite attractive in kitchen. Arrived with small dent in lid, but not enough to bother with returning. Holds standard 13 gal trash bag.
It hold trash perfect. Many trash cans say they are the one, but this one was meant to be mine. Showed up with in perfect condition, no previous baggage. Has not been abused, I feel lucky.

With a walking 1 year old it was time for us to get a lid for our garbage. This can does the job and looks good while doing it. The pedal mechanism seems to be sturdy, and the overall build seems like it should last for several years. Changing the bags out is a breeze. Highly recommend this can!

Who knew someone could be SO happy with a trashcan? The pedal to open the lid is sturdy and opens it quickly and it closes slowly… the inner liner holds the bag securely but easy to lift out and convenient when you have a leak for washing out. Great trash can. 4 stars only cause it came delivered with some of the black paint scratched up. Also, if you keep the trash can close to a wall, the joint that lifts the lid up/down tends to wear on the wall and black paint rubs off on to the wall

Love the soft close lid. The only reason I rated it at 4 was because it needs an extra 2 inches to open. The mechanism is on the rear of the trashcan instead of inside.

Wow!! I ordered this 3 days ago and it just arrived! It was delivered in a very sturdy cardboard package box and it was well padded with styrofoam. Looks great and works well but the lid is large and requires that it be set a good distance from the wall or counter. This is next to our island which has a small overhang, the trashcan has to sit ~8″ from the island so the lid doesn’t bang on the counter when it opens.

I’d give it a 5 star, but for paying $70 for a trash can you would expect it to be a little better with the cosmetic issues on the lid. Other than that, it’s a solid trash can. It would be very annoying and out of my way to return it because of its cosmetic imperfections.
We finally replaced an old plastic trash can in the kitchen with this one. It looks so much better and functions well. Our 2 year old grandson loves to step on the pedal and open the can. He throws away everything for us when he stays over!
I used to have a round trash can, but pulling the garbage out was a struggle. This trash can is the ticket. It has a wider opening, and the lid stays open while you are pulling out the garbage bag. The part where you put your feet to step on to open the lid feels very sturdy unlike my old one. This garbage can uses a 13 gallon garbage bag.

Very nice sturdy trash container. Would definitely recommend. Just a couple small issues (mostly personal preferences). It a bit awkward to move when needing to clean under/around it, and sometimes the lid doesn’t stay in the open position when needing it to stay all the way open. But overall a great product!
This trash can has been the best one we have purchased in the past 4-5 years. It is much more affordalble than most stainless steel, foot operated trash cans. The removable liner is a must if you have small children. It is easy to remove if items leak, and you can simply take it outside and hose it out. The only downside I have found, is the lid mechanism requires space behind the unit to function, so you have to leave it several inches off of the wall to use properly. I would highly recommend this trash can to anyone with a large enough space.
I really like not having to touch the trash can to open it and the fact that it stays cleaner than plastic trash cans. The metal is easier to clean and keeps the germs down considerably. Plastic allows germs to grow and multiply because of the micro fractures that develop and it gets nasty, but I am very pleased with this one.

Once again I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of amazon basics products. After my kids have broken 2 other expensive garbage cans this year I decided to give this one a go and it’s the best one we’ve had so far for the smallest price. I will probably be purchasing a couple more in different sizes to put in other rooms in my house!
Before I bought this I had a delivery driver send me one that was suppose to go to my neighbor and when I unboxed it I returned it to him but couldn’t get over the quality of it. I’ve always wanted one since I moved in to my place and it’s definitely way better than the cheap trash can I bought from walmart. Definitely would buy again.

I got frustrated with two failed sensor powered bins and went back to the mechanical one. This one everything works perfectly, except the inner plastic bin is a little hard to pull out bcz the top lid does not open wide enough.
I love this trash can. It looks great, the pedal works, the lid opens and it holds trash, what more could a person want? It arrived in perfect condition. I read there was some back and forth about trash bag size, to be honest I buy the generic 13 gallon bags and they are sufficient for this can. Would absolutely buy again.
Erstmal das positive Preis Leistung stimmen hier komplett. Eine tolle und wertige Verarbeitung zudem Standsicher dank gummierter Fe und einem Klappmechanismus welcher sich langsam nach unten senkt. Viel Platz fr Mll und eine 50 Liter Tte passt hier locker rein. Der Mlleimer wirkt nicht Blechern sondern hat durchaus sein Gewicht und ist aus soliden Material gefertigt. Recht gro Isser zwar schon aber es fllt kaum auf schne Farbe hier wrde ich mir noch gerne Matt wnschen aber Glnzend geht auch. Man sieht jedoch nicht jeden Fingerabdruck Reinigung geht leicht von der Hand und optisch finde ich den Eimer durchaus ansprechend so das er sich gut in die Kche oder an dem Ort des Geschehens einpasst was soll man ansonsten noch schreiben..alles bestens gerne wieder zudem sicherer und schneller Versand durch Amazon 😀
We bought this to keep our cat from getting into the garbage. Happy to report it works like a charm and looks nice to boot. Liner sits inside lid so cat can’t pull it out and it’s too heavy to knock over. Foot pedal feels sturdy. Only issue I have is you have to keep it about 3″ away from the wall or lid scrapes wall when can opens, but that’s fine.

Dieser Mlleimer ist wirklich klasse! Hier angekommen war ich doch erstmal etwas ber die Gre berrascht, denn der Eimer ist wirklich ziemlich gro!
Das Design des Mlleimers ist recht schick. Er sieht wirklich richtig hochwertig und gut verarbeitet aus. Alle Ecken und Kanten liegen da wo sie sein sollen, da sitzt alles korrekt, nichts ist verzogen oder hnliches.
Der Eimer hat eine sehr breite Futaste, die man einfach bettigen kann um den Deckel zu ffnen. Der Deckel geht auch fast komplett auf, auf jeden Fall hat man da keine Probleme auch grere Teile hinein zu bugsieren.
Richtig klasse finde ich, dass sich der Deckel sehr langsam und vor allem leise wieder senkt und nicht schnell wieder zuklatscht. Das ist sehr angenehm und fr mich schonmal ein Highlight bei diesem Eimer.
Natrlich gibt es im Inneren einen herausnehmbaren Behlter den man auch einfach heraus bekommt. Er hat zwar keine Henkel, dafr aber Einkerbungen an den Seiten, an denen man ihn gut fassen kann. Unten ist der Eimer dicht und hat ebenfalls eine Einkerbung fr den Behlter, so dass er auf jeden Fall immer korrekt drinnen steht! Wirklich gut designt und durchdacht.

Lo que ms me ha gustado es su sistema de apertura y cierre, con un pedal en la base, este pedal no desequilibra el cubo si le pulsamos con ms fuerza, la tapa se abre rpido y luego cuando se suelta, se cierra lentamente.
Dentro de la papelera hay otro cubo de plstico, sobre el que se pone la bolsa de plstico y que posteriormente facilita su vaciado.
El metal es resistente a las huellas y a las manchas, despus de un mes de uso est brillante y limpio como el primer da, cuando se ensucia solo con pasar un trapo algo hmedo volvemos a tener el cubo como el primer da.

Si quieres un cubo con capacidad, elegante y silencioso, este cubo es perfecto para eso.
La poubelle arrive dans un large carton bien protg. Elle fait environ 70 cm de haut pour 49 cm de large et 35 cm de profondeur entre le mcanisme du couvercle qui dpasse sur l’arrire et celui de la pdale sur l’avant.
L’effet chrom joue son plein rle et elle semble trs bien finie, d’une qualit comparable la concurrence, trs dans l’air du temps. Aucun nom de marque ne s’affiche dessus. La poubelle prend trs bien les traces de doigts par contre, mais on n’est pas cens non plus y mettre les doigts vu qu’elle s’actionne avec la pdale.
L’ouverture est assez bruyante si on se la joue bourrin en crasant la poubelle. Elle est plus douce si on appuie tout en douceur. La fermeture est elle silencieuse grce un mcanisme qui freine la descente.
Pour mettre son sac de 50 litres, on peut soulever lgrement l’intrieur de la poubelle pour le bloquer. Le bac est par contre un peu dur enlever pour un grand nettoyage. Il faudra forcer pour le sortir et le rentrer.
Clairement, ce modle fait dans la sobrit en allant l’essentiel, reprenant bien l’ADN de la marque. Avec l’ouverture pdale l’ancienne, on se dote d’un systme hyginique qui a fait ses preuves alli un joli design avec l’effet chrom. Il faudra juste russir lui trouver une place, car le modle n’est pas des plus discrets.
Nelle case di ciascuno di noi ormai pieno di secchi e contenitori vari e di varie misure per poter differenziare al meglio i nostri rifiuti, operazione non sempre facile da gestire, soprattutto se si vive in appartamento e non si vuole avere la casa piena di orrendi secchi di plastica.
Questo contenitore invece regala un giusto compromesso estetico tra raccolta differenziata e arredamento della propria casa. Avendo gi provato con grande soddisfazione un contenitore simile a questo, ma di forma leggermente diversa, ho voluto testare anche questo, considerato che ha una capienza leggermente superiore all’altro (50 litri in un unico contenitore contro i 40 litri, divisi in due contenitori diversi, del suo omologo.
IL TEST
Questo contenitore ha una capienza complessiva di 50 litri senza divisori interni, ma con un unico contenitore estraibile. La forma molto aggraziata in quanto non il solito cubo ma semicircolare con l’ampiezza massima di ingombro di 32 cm. essendo molto capiente, io lo sto utilizzando per la raccolta della plastica che, purtroppo, in ogni casa presente in grande quantit e quindi ha bisogno di grandi contenitori per la raccolta.
Anche questo, come l’altro, esteticamente un oggetto molto carino, in metallo satinato a prova di impronta, infatti lo si pu toccare tranquillamente e, se le mani non sono unte ovviamente, non rester traccia di impronta. Questo lo rende molto adatto ad essere tenuto tranquillamente in casa; anche in questo caso l’ingombro non contenutissimo (le misure sono 67x48x32), quindi valutate bene lo spazio che avete a disposizione.
Come l’altro contenitore di forma pi squadrata, anche questo ha una comoda apertura a pedale che consente al tappo di rimanere aperto, salvo poi richiuderlo con una piccola spinta che azioner la chiusura ammortizzata. Sui lati questo contenitore, a differenza dell’altro, non ha manici, ma ha una comoda maniglia posta sul retro che ne rende lo spostamento sufficientemente agevole. Anche qui la base in materiale plastico nero e quindi potrete tranquillamente passarci lo straccio intorno nel lavare il pavimento, senza preoccuparvi che il metallo possa rovinarsi.
CONCLUDENDO
Per concludere direi che la scelta tra questo contenitore d-shaped e il suo omologo pi squadrato dipende solo dalle vostre esigenze. Vi servono due distinti scomparti? Allora l’ideale quello squadrato. Vi serve un contenitore unico e di dimensioni pi grandi? Allora optate per questo.
La mia esperienza in ogni caso assolutamente positiva con entrambi e, anche se attualmente non ne conosco il prezzo, ne consiglio fortemente l’acquisto perch a me ha risolto davvero un grosso problema e poi davvero bello e curato sul piano estetico. Promosso a pieni voti!!!

Personalmente considero que es una papelera grande , llega con un cubo de plstico a medida dentro de la papelera, para facilitar sacar la basura y tirarla, este cubo no desaprovecha espacio alguno. El diseo es estticamente bonito, bordes redondeados y cubierto tanto la tapa como la papelera en si de acero o de chapa anti-huellas, no sabra decir exactamente el material que es. En general los materiales son resistentes y de calidad y tiene muy buenas terminaciones.
Sin dudas lo que ms me ha gustado es que abre con el pi y al cerrarse lo hace lentamente y en silencio, esto junto a la capacidad que tiene, es lo mejor.
Finalizo indicando que si necesitas una papelera de una capacidad mediana, son cincuenta litros por lo que es ms grande que una papelera normal, esta tiene una muy buena calidad y terminaciones y sobre todo tiene un sistema de apertura y cierre muy cmodo con el pi.

Der “AmazonBasics D-Shaped Soft-Close Trash Can – 50L” ziemlich gross und wirkt noch grsser dadurch das er wesentlich breiter als tief ist. Und er ist sehr hoch.
Aber ansonsten wirkt der Abfalleimer in der glnzenden Metalloptik durchaus edel.
Der Abfalleimer wird komplett zusammengebaut geliefert. Auspacken und sofort verwenden.
Die Tretmechanik funktioniert einwandfrei und leicht.
Der “AmazonBasics D-Shaped Soft-Close Trash Can – 50L” kommt mit einem Plastik-Inneneimer.
Aufgrund seiner D-Form ist er fr die Verwendung von Standard-Abfalltten nur bedingt geeignet.

It’s a great looking bin, manufactured in what I assume is heavy duty brushed aluminium, with black plastic trim, and a soft close lid operated by an aluminium pedal. Pedal operation is smooth, and closure is damped and silent.
What is most striking is the weight of the bin, because it is very heavy indeed. This has plus and minus points, because although it isn’t going to fall over, or get moved around accidentally, it is likely to be far too heavy for elderly people to manage, particularly if they have mobility issues.
What I do like is the fact a refuse sack fits perfectly, and because of the bins’ size, you don’t have to keep pushing the rubbish down by hand to maximise capacity.
This is going to look great in a larger kitchen, or in a kitchen where there is a recess with adequate space. In a smaller ,or galley kitchen, it may prove to be too large.
Unfortunately there is no price showing for this bin, so I am unable to say whether it is value for money. However, AmazonBasics items usually offer competitive pricing and decent quality, and in the case of this bin, the quality is outstandingly good.
Well worth considering if you are in the market for a good looking quality bin.
which has a good large capacity,the design is perfect for my kitchen as the flat back is great against my cooker and the curved front means you are less likly to knock into the sides when walking past ,We love the stainless finish but the lid does get finger prints although they wipe off easily. The soft close lid works great but it also allows you to open by hand for when you need to change the bag ,the insert has side grips to ease removal of it and to allow you to tuck the bag around it to hold it in place .
this is listed as a basics item but it seems far better than that and very well made
