This is one of the better low budget system, fairly easy to set up (plug and play). The cable supplied is ready terminated but not all installations required the length of cable supplied and may be necessary to cut and re-terminate with an RJ45, also the Cat5 cable supplied is fairly low grade and the outer sheath tears easily. The distance vision is very pixilated and would be difficult to identify anyone beyond 60 foot.
Set the cameras up which was very easy to do, the quality is fantastic and when connecting to the cameras remotely it’s very quick. Really pleased with them
Great day vision in colour. You need to have good lighting in the area you want covered at night as it shows up black & white but all in all really good quality system.
For 5MP it’s OK during the day but at night it’s really poor the IR sensor keeps clicking and the picture is definitely not color unless your under some lamp.
Got this system to replace our old outdated one. The hardest part of the instalation was running the cables from the eaves through the loft on my own, definitely a two person job, one to feed and one to pull. Easy enough to set up the system, and simple to install the App on our mobile phones. However, I have not been able to work out the software instalation on my PC. Overall, an excellent system which offers all you’d need for a security system, and more, all at a competative price.
i find it brilliant, all plug and play so dead easy. can view remotely on phone of computer. once you get the hang of setting the motion detection area, the motion alarm is really good.
i would recommend this for anybody and everybody.
Delighted with this product , had to get in touch with annke over a technical issue very good service from them they told me how to resolve it over a live chat and then sent me a link how to resolve it could not resolve it over the live chat,but the link worked well, great back up service

My last system was a DVR with the old standard recording with 960H cameras, so this is a really big step up.
The quality of the cameras are excellent, and it is easy to set up. (The uploaded picture are through my phone camera so not very clear.) The finetuning controls for the colours etc. are great as you can see what works best for you in terms of saturation, contrast and more. At night the colour is ok provided you have lighting available to assist, but you can also get IR Illuminators to place next to the camera to help it.
It has worked flawlessly in the few weeks we have had it. It helps protect our house from inside and out as the 4 cameras provided are clear enough for outdoors, whereas it being 8 channel has meant i can connect 4 more cameras to fit inside the house.
It is easy to set up with the Annke application, or even other apps such as Hik-Connect as the protocol is similar. It is easy to control and playback from both the NVR and also from the mobile application.
The pre-installed 2TB HDD is a perfect addition to this as it really does make it an All-in-One kit for people.
There are settings such as motion detection that you can set up and email alerts etc. to really help secure your house.
As my first venture into putting a security system around my cottage, I am very impressed. Annke customer service as been brilliant, helpful and understanding on the questions I asked. I have got my 4 of cameras up and wired in via the Ethernet cables. The small pictures on my tv & iPad/iPhone from the cameras are ok .. click on to get a big single camera image and it’s ace. The b&w nighttime images are also impressive.
I looked at many brands of these cameras, reading all the reviews, & can honestly say that all had a mix of good and bad reviews, so went for the system I liked the look of… yes I know that sounds a bit superficial, but it works for me.
Would I recommend to friends .. yes, for three reasons.. ease to set up, good customer service & images on the screen are great.

I’m blown away with what this setup has to offer. Comes with literally everything you need, apart from an external monitor (for what I will use it for), however you can use it on your TV.
With it being PoE there isn’t an abundance of cables, just on from the unit to the recorder.
Got this professionally installed for 120. Knowing my home is secure, and peace of mind when I’m working away for just over 500 is a bargain!
This is a great cctv system overall. I have had it installed on a building site for a couple of months now and it has worked consistently well. The picture quality is fantastic, even at night. We previously had 2MP cameras which struggled to get a clear picture so I always go higher now, and I am glad that I went with this. When light isn’t as bright (so when sun is going down or is rising) it will still deliver a coloured image so you don’t see the picture constantly flick between day colour and night black and white, which is great.
The app works really well with it allowing being able to remotely playback any footage and alerts from it are timely and relevant. I say relevant as it does a great chance of detecting motion caused by humans.
Overall, I am very impressed with it and it was a doddle to set up as well. Once the work on site is finished I will definitely look to use this at the next project.

They’re is a security issue with this particular NVR , Annke have now corrected this with firmware v 4.? But it is a bit of an adventure installing it, as you have to use various programs on your computer to get past the firmware mismatch error and it is time consuming. The unit has the menu option to upgrade the firmware but it is for show, it doesn’t actually do anything.
Purchased these for peace of mind when out the house. They were a big job in itself to wire the house to install these but once you have the cables all ready to go then it’s a pretty straight forward job to connect to the app and the hard drive(you’ll need a monitor though) picture quality is excellent for 5mega pixels! Highly recommend for the price
Ive had this installed for over a year now, finally thought its time to leave a review. Its been on 24×7 for over a year and not failed once, not one reboot needed. Quality is great during the day and night. I really cannot fault it for the money. The mobile app is also very good (you can also side load it onto firetv’s – so i can access my CCTV from any screens in the house).
As with all these systems, motion detection can be a pain to setup, but ive learnt to only enable it for key arears of the picture i.e – window and doors, around the car, the garden fence. This reduces alerts caused by wind & animals to a very usable level.
Very good all round. To add – i did contact Annke support a few times, one to setup motion and the other to reset the IP cam passwords – on both occasions they were quick to reply and knowledgeable!
Great value for money. Decided to go for a NVR system over an DVR and did not regret my decision.
The picture quality is really clear. If there is enough light you can even manage colour night vision.
Overall night vision is almost perfect. Like it states up to 30 metres after which it becomes too grey/dark to decipher what is what.
I have a security light up at the top of the garden and if that is activated (usually by our cat) the night vision is great even that far away.
You get 18m and 30m (twice) of Cat 5 network cable which is plenty as I have one camera set-up out in the back garden and have plenty of cable spare.
2gb of HDD space is plenty as it’s running H265+ compression. And playback and transfer to an external device is good too.
I only have 4 camera’s running on it but have room for 4 more should I need to. May consider installing another facing the house from the top of the garden, just to be sure.
Have to say I was sceptical when I first fitted the system, the H.view cameras are metal where the ANNKE ones were plastic, they felt a bit cheap in the build quality. They make up for it in the picture quality though.
Overall a nice simple system to set up with outstanding night vision. Iso much so that I am upgrading my system with one of these.
So far, not a single complaint.

Ability to save to an off site storage is pretty important if you are broken into and the unit is stolen / smashed up it’s not much use.
Brought this c500 system for my property. Brought the poe system with the nvr recorder as its digital and transfers data quickly which is essential when using 5mp cameras.Had a faulty cable so had to contact Annke and received a new poe cable from them so good customer service. The camera system works really well and pretty satisfied so far .I’ve uploaded a day and night vision for people to look at

Night vision is great but try to have no objects near or you get reflection which spoils it a bit. Installation was very easy and connecting NVR unit to android application was straight forward. Cables far too long for terraced house..half the length would be enough. Picture quality is really great even in strong light. Mobile screen doesn’t show it so well as TV connected to NVR unit. Aftersale Customer service is very good over email with response within a day something in a few hours. Better than ringing to USA number.

Customer service was fantastic as NCR had to be returned with a component fault. Great daylight picture quality and zoom works well. Initial setup using Wizard is straight forward. Sensitivity of motion detection is very user friendly. Night vision is ok but not brilliant compared with image quality from daylight. Still setting up with fine tuning to cloud, have not had to call technical back up to date or aware of in the UK. In short great product at competitive price.
This was a upgrade from my previous Annke security system. Huge improvements to software and hardware. Both cameras and nvr are constructed from metal. Very easy to setup due to Annke using standard poe plug n play. Glad Annke moved away from SPOE Protocol. The on screen setup wizard was fairly easy to understand with lots of security options. Crisp and clean images from the cameras. Only using the cctv for 24/7 continues recording, so unsure about the motion alert features. The biggeste time consuming job was feeding the cables throughout the house but apart from this a very clean and professional looking system. Would definitely recommend

Easy to set up and install.
Only negative i can say is be very carful with password because if you get the password wrong for the cameras you CANNOT reset it and you will loose all images and recording views etc.
You have to go through a whole process with emails with the Annke support team who will send you reset codes…
Something in my opinion you should have the rights to be able to do yourself.
However The support team are Amazing but took most of a day to get resolved.then there is the time difference in usa.

I bought this system to install myself and was after a mid range system around 400.
The Annke system was very straightforward to install. I chose to use my own cat5e cables rather than the supplied cables as we were having some building work done at home and the builder ran the cables for me.
The system was really easy to set up. The recorded quality picture is very good quality and the cameras work well both in daylight and at night using infra-red. The app is easy to use to either live view pictures or search recorded data. Altogether a very impressive system for the money invested.
Purchased and fitted this system, was so easy. me and my wife had it fitted and operating in aprox. 4 hours.
Lots of useful feature like privacy mask and being able to set the detection area, video quality is crystal clear even on 8x zoom when well lit, still ok at night just a little pixely on full zoom (but that is to be expected).
My only slight gripe is the set up procedure isn’t very intuitive, it works but a lot of double reading to understand exactly the procedure and its a shame the client can only be viewed correctly with IE on windows machines, aprt from that i’m very happy and impressed with the system.
*UPDATE* Had an issue with the motion detection sending too many notifications, after customer services explained the limitations of the system I realised I had purchased the wrong system for my needs, customer services have given me a FULL refund for the system I bought and have even given me a discount on the PIR system to replace it. You will not get better customer service than that. Also the technical advise was given quickly and was very informative. I can not recommend this company highly enough %
Easily installed and literally plug and play. Me and my young genius brother did this in 6 hours, installed the cameras and got the system up and running. I can keep an eye on my house all day long. It’s made my wife feel secure and very happy. The cameras are HD quality, very happy indeed.
The 2TB HD came pre installed and all cabling was supplied. Just needed to order a longer HDMI cable. As the system is POE (Power over Ethernet) the single cable does everything, HD image signal and power supply, clever stuff.
Great cameras highly recommend. Only fault i can find is the motion detection is very sensitive. Shadows snow and leafs blowing set it off but other than that very high quality. Very pleased
I have bought 3 of these sets so far, one for my own house and some for some friends, they have all worked really well and everyone is always amazed by the picture quality. I would always recommend buying 5MP+ cameras, 1080p just doesn’t cut it these days.
I did have one issue in that one of the cameras there was ingress of water, this was quickly recitified by customer service and they sent me a replacement within a few days. This hasn’t put me off buying them at all, and I will not hesitate to buy them again.
For me is the second fantastic product from Annke and I am not dissapointed. Everything you need is in the box,including a 2Tb HDD, and the instructions are more than easy to follow. I am not a very technical person but I`ve managed to install the system myself, real plug & play system. The image quality is very clear. H.265+Coding compression will let record more than 1 month. Using the free APP, I can get access to live video on my smartphone. Moreover, the camera system offers a motion detection alarm.The IP67 weatherproof standard makes it very reliable even in the worst conditions. The last but not least this CCTV system accepts third party cameras to be added which will make a real 8 channels monitor. I couldn`t recommend more!
Good quality kit. Easy to install and set up. Great feature that I could Run 2 monitors from the DVR,one on HDMI and one on VGA as main monitor for viewing and second with hidden DVR. Picture quality and night vision is really good.
The cctv system arrived promptly, was easy to set up (as everything I needed was provided) and gave good visual results. I had a problem with a password for the nvr and the support I got from Vivi, a technical advisor at Annke was excellent. Fast delivery, good product and great Annke after sales support. I can definitely recommend this.
Bought this as have a 4k tv. Unfortunately for us we have connected via hdmi cable as tv does not have a VGA output, when nvr was 1st started we could see all cameras on live view but the minute we put the tv back onto a tv channel or switched TV off we lost the camera feed showing on the tv unless we power the nvr off and back on. We can see it from our mobiles just not through tv. Unfortunately for us our tv is not compatible so have had to purchase a monitor to solve this problem but all good now.
his product was easy to setup and I added an additional IP PoE camera using two powerline adapters. I also used a powerline adapter to connect the network port to my router and it successfully connects to the internet.
I can view through my phone (annke vision app); a tablet or my PC (using guarding vision client).
The help desk are very supportive and come back quickly with answers. It does not allow connection to cloud services so that you can stream a backup to dropbox etc. Otherwise very good and the cameras while cheaper then others still have good resolution.
After doing much research on wanting an easy to install , decent branded, well specced starter system I chose this Annke boxed set. The NVR is compact, quiet in operation and has many great features. The 5MP turret cams are solidly made ( Alloy dome section and plastic base and trim section) the picture quality is excellent both day and night with good IR range. The kit comes with 2 standard cables and 2 longer ones. All were more than plenty for my install. A highly recommend system. 5 stars.

The system itself is better thsn I expect and picture quality is perfect even with zooming…
Easy to set up and install.
Only negative i can say is be very carful with password because if you get the password wrong for the cameras you CANNOT reset it and you will loose all images and recording views etc.
You have to go through a whole process with emails with the Annke support team who will send you reset codes…
Something in my opinion you should have the rights to be able to do yourself.
However The support team are Amazing but took most of a day to get resolved.then there is the time difference in usa.
Apart from this one issue i am 100% satisfied.

I bought this system to install myself and was after a mid range system around 400.
The Annke system was very straightforward to install. I chose to use my own cat5e cables rather than the supplied cables as we were having some building work done at home and the builder ran the cables for me.
The system was really easy to set up. The recorded quality picture is very good quality and the cameras work well both in daylight and at night using infra-red. The app is easy to use to either live view pictures or search recorded data. Altogether a very impressive system for the money invested.

Purchased and fitted this system, was so easy. me and my wife had it fitted and operating in aprox. 4 hours.
Lots of useful feature like privacy mask and being able to set the detection area, video quality is crystal clear even on 8x zoom when well lit, still ok at night just a little pixely on full zoom (but that is to be expected).
My only slight gripe is the set up procedure isn’t very intuitive, it works but a lot of double reading to understand exactly the procedure and its a shame the client can only be viewed correctly with IE on windows machines, aprt from that i’m very happy and impressed with the system.
*UPDATE* Had an issue with the motion detection sending too many notifications, after customer services explained the limitations of the system I realised I had purchased the wrong system for my needs, customer services have given me a FULL refund for the system I bought and have even given me a discount on the PIR system to replace it. You will not get better customer service than that. Also the technical advise was given quickly and was very informative. I can not recommend this company highly enough %
Easily installed and literally plug and play. Me and my young genius brother did this in 6 hours, installed the cameras and got the system up and running. I can keep an eye on my house all day long. It’s made my wife feel secure and very happy. The cameras are HD quality, very happy indeed.
The 2TB HD came pre installed and all cabling was supplied. Just needed to order a longer HDMI cable. As the system is POE (Power over Ethernet) the single cable does everything, HD image signal and power supply, clever stuff.

I did have one issue in that one of the cameras there was ingress of water, this was quickly recitified by customer service and they sent me a replacement within a few days. This hasn’t put me off buying them at all, and I will not hesitate to buy them again.
Good quality kit. Easy to install and set up. Great feature that I could Run 2 monitors from the DVR,one on HDMI and one on VGA as main monitor for viewing and second with hidden DVR. Picture quality and night vision is really good.
Bought this as have a 4k tv. Unfortunately for us we have connected via hdmi cable as tv does not have a VGA output, when nvr was 1st started we could see all cameras on live view but the minute we put the tv back onto a tv channel or switched TV off we lost the camera feed showing on the tv unless we power the nvr off and back on. We can see it from our mobiles just not through tv. Unfortunately for us our tv is not compatible so have had to purchase a monitor to solve this problem but all good now.
I can view through my phone (annke vision app); a tablet or my PC (using guarding vision client).
The help desk are very supportive and come back quickly with answers. It does not allow connection to cloud services so that you can stream a backup to dropbox etc. Otherwise very good and the cameras while cheaper then others still have good resolution.
