Wow, what a all-around, jack of all trades portable shovel kit! Offered by brand AZARXIS, this is not the first product I have gotten from them, and I can say that everything I’ve ever used, I still own and have no complaints about because everything from the metal to the fabrics they use are always the best quality I can imagine would be used on any of their respective products. They clearly understand what someone needs who wants to create a good EDC or bushcrafting kit.

Point in case, this is a folder shovel, meant to be taken apart for portability then easily constructed again for use whenever needed in a survival scenario. The metal is high carbon steel, so the sharp parts will stay sharp and/or can be easily sharpened. And while carbon requires a little more maintenance than the average steel, it’s worth the effort. I always personally wipe down and oil my carbon products after use, whether it be shovel kits like this or my bushcrafting knives, etc.

The kit stays together via a nice little camo pouch that is strong fabric and stays velcroed tightly to ensure pieces do not fall out. Within the hollow handle that separates into three parts, there are also three different accessories, a flint, a screwdriver, and a long blade that works well as a spear.

I feel entirely certain after about a month of general-use testing that this kit is not going to break under pressure any time soon, and feel confident keeping it available in one of my EDC tac bags. 5 stars.

Best survival shovel for your buck in my opinion, high carbon so keep clean and well oiled after use

This is the first folding shovel I’ve owned and I was very pleasantly surprised by both its size and strength.

Size wise it is a lot smaller and lighter than I expected. It all fits into one 8×11 inch pouch and is surprisingly light weighing about the same as my full water bottle. Despite this it’s quite sturdy and has no problem digging through compacted snow. When you get down to ice or frozen ground it does struggle a little and I didnt want to put too much pressure on it to break through the ice because I don’t feel that would be a fair thing to expect it to do I would worry about the handle of a full sized snow shovel doing the same job.

It comes nicely maintained and clearly has been oiled to prevent any rust or damage. It probably would be a good idea to do something similar before packing it away for winter. The blade tries to be a multi-tool with a saw, wrenches and rope cutter but they are a bit underwhelming, I’d rather just use it as a shovel.

All in all it’s a nice addition to your camping gear or something to store in your car incase of emergencies. It won’t take up much space or weight so it’s easy to bring with you in case you need it.

Light and compact shovel yet sturdy enough.

*be aware that there are potentially hazardous parts of this shovel and don’t let kids unpack without supervision*
A decent shovel is an essential part of camping kit, and I wanted a folding one for my camper so it didn’t take up too much space. This shovel is great: strong, easy to fold out and with great versatility as it can be configured as a shovel, pick or mattock. The shovel blade has a very sharp digging blade and a sharpened side for use like a machete. Both of these will be easy to re-sharpen when necessary, but arrive extremely sharp, so care needs to be taken with handling. The serrated ‘saw’ on the other side of the blade is less impressive and in my assessment is more of a rasp than a saw.
The shovel is well made with good materials and finish; the blade is carbon steel: very strong but may rust, so it’s probably a good idea to give it a wipe-over with some sort of oil after cleaning. The shovel comes with a heavy-duty synthetic cover for the blade, and a bag that the folded tool packs into for storage. A great piece of kit: recommended.

Azarxis Survival Camping Shovel – I like how compact is this multifunctional shovel and how though it is when you out it together.

The shovel has its own sleeve and additional cover for the blade to avoid accidents.

It is easy to use and store.

Great for small garden jobs, camping or just keep it in your car for winter.

4.0 out of 5 stars Azarxis Survival Camping Shovel

So, I bought this after buying a 9.99 one and thinking it would be good, and honestly it was the best decision I made. Does exactly as you’de expect, feels solid as a rock, and is so easy to take places. Would recommend.
