Struggled to get these anywhere else as full matching set. Manged to get just what we wanted at a better price, quickly without the high delivery charges being asked elsewhere – really happy with our purchase
I think these sockets are fabulous. I chose them because of the usb hub in them.
I have replaced the old sockets in my lounge with them, and bought more to put in my kitchen by the breakfast bar.

I recently purchased this product and overall, I’m quite pleased with it. It arrived on time and was adequately packaged for protection. The quality is decent, and it performs well for its intended purpose. While it may not be the most exceptional product in its category, it certainly gets the job done. The price is reasonable for what you get, and I consider it a worthwhile investment. It has certainly met my basic needs, and I have no major complaints.
Bought this double socket when it was reduced in price. It matches the existing in the new kitchen, and now there is no excuse for the grand kids pinching my charger for their tablets!
This replaced a socket that was a few years old and had stopped charging in one of the USB ports. This one is far slimmer and fits into a shallow box (unlike the one it replaced) and it charges at a really fast rate so overall is a much better product. Decent price from Amazon as well as other local suppliers were at least 10 more.
Easy to install and they work fine. Only thing I would say as the USB ports are somewhat underpowered and are better for older devices rather than than newer smart phones.

Bought for every socket in my house. no more looking for plugs or leads i just leave a short lead in each. Nice cheap price and it works well whilst freeing up the sockets.

Very nice looking light switch/dimmer. I didn’t install it myself but it didn’t seem to present any problems and works as I would expect it to.
Like the finish and the whole construction is very solid. Slightly confusing instructions with indications of where the USB wires go – completely unnecessary when connecting to a standard 3 core earthed power supply.

This is a lovely plug, well made and super easy to install.
the only thing i would note, is that ther USB ports means that they dont support fast charge like you get with mobiles and such.

Quick & easy to fit. I replaced the white plastic unused phone socket with this blank plate and it looks a lot better. Took about 5 minutes to replace, comes with the 2 decorative screw fixings.
used this and a back box to make my own extension sock for my daughters room, it was very easy to wire, all the terminals are clealy labelled and have the wire colour you should use making it very hard to wire it wrong

Its odd for a mains socket to be described as ‘beautiful’ but this really is. I’ve installed it in my caravan and with four usbs and two gangs it effectively serves 6 devices. And it really does look incredible! Its also very well made indeed and big thanks to BG for giving a template to use when cutting out the fitting hole.
It arrived quickly and our electrician seems to rate this make so all good.

Good quality product very easy to install only 3 wires to connect live, neutral and earth. Usb sockets are fab just plug your appliance lead in leaving your 3 pin socket free for other electrical devices. They look great too.
I installed these in my campervan conversion and they look very impressive. Bargain!

These sockets really change a room. I’ve upgraded from the white plastic to the brushed steel effect. For around 5 a socket, it makes the kitchen look and feel modern. We ordered these in brushed steel with grey for throughout the house. They arrived promptly and look really nice. The only issue is we are 2 single light switches short as there is an order limit in that item so we now need to find somewhere else to order them from as even after they arrive you cannot order more. This is very annoying as most people will have more than 10 light switches in their homes.
I ordered the switch and was surprised how good the quality is. It’s well made and a lovely brushed chrome. Easy to install. In fact I have gone on to order double and single sockets. I think you would be happy to have these in your home.

We love these as they just look classy and colour suits darker rooms so much. Just be careful when you’re installing them as they’re easy to scratch with screwdriver and screws etc… Would highly recommend them though!

We had to rewire our house so I bought a selection of different light switches from this company. They are good value for money, look great and have all been working without a fault since beginning of June. Neither is making a buzzing noise – in fact we had a problem with a dimmable light fixture, but not the switch! (After exchanging the chandelier for a new one buzzing stopped).

There’s not much to say. It looks nice, it is metal and solid, and easy to install. Everything you need.
The black nickel is like a darker tinted chrome. I had no problems fitting this in a 25mm metal pattress box. It seems reasonable quality and hopefully it will stand the test of time.
Really nice little switchplate – standard fittings and well manufactured – everything did what it was supposed to do! The finished look is really nice, doesn’t feel or look cheap. Really happy.
These are my favourite metallic socket to fit they look amazing and have a plastic spacer between the metal front and the back that touches the wall so if you accidentally scrape it against the wall when trying to get the 3.5mm socket screws in it doesn’t gouge the wall out and cause repairs for the clie

This looks great but I have had to mark it down one star for one very annoying aspect, if you have two sets of wires the holes are too small.
One of our plug sockets has two neutral, two earth and two live cables going into the locators on the back. It proved impossible to use this replacement socket as the holes for the cable to go into are too small in diameter.

Great product for a kitchen re vamp replace old white plastic switches. Did come up a couple mm smaller than my previous ones so there was a minor element of making good to the walls. Very easy to install. Always take a photo of the old socket and how it wired if in doubt.
These are just as easy to fit as an ordinary socket but thanks to the USB ports practically double the amount of electrical items you can power from it.
These look smarter than the standard white sockets and whilst they are a little more expensive than the white plastic version they do look better, giving our room a more polished, luxury look.
Very handy if you are fed up of swapping your plugs out for phone chargers etc.
Easy to connect – I did have to watch a YouTube video but this is only because I had never touched electrics before.
I’ve now got two or these set up in my house and they’re just ideal for charging your devices without the need of keep unplugging different plugs all the time.

Opening any YouTube video will tell you how easy it is to install. Just ensure electrical supply is off. But looks great and really opened up more options for charging devices

I did have one with a fault which resulted in none of my electrical sockets working for several months untill it was discovered therr was a fault with one of these sockets. so if you do have these installed in your property and you have an electrical problem get these checked first

Bought 3 of these 9 months ago when completely redecorating the old living room and i was very impressed with the nice neat finish it gave to the living room. I also bought the light switch to match and it really does give the room that extra neat touch. I’m quite lucky to have an Electrician as my neighbour and he installed them all within 30 minutes with ease so cant complain. The delivery and packaging was great aswell so five stars from me :).

Easy to install, no problems fitting took me 5 minutes only downside when plugs are inserted the on off switches just about clear the plugs bear that in mind if you plan to use power adapters.The usb ports work effectively in charging iphones and tablets.
Although this socket fits a standard metal flush box the internal size is slightly bigger than the standard socket it replaced. The ceramic tiles in my kitchen were cut slightly over the aperture of the socket box which meant I had to shave the tile to allow the new socket to fit. Not an easy task when the tile is fixed to the wall. However this was my problem as I originally installed the tiles. So just a note to people who might have the same problem. Otherwise the socket looks good and is very handy to be able to use the power socket while being able to use the usb charger sockets.

As one person commented bulbs are overrated by manufacturers I am running 6 LED bulbs off this dimmer easy to install and to me good value for money…

Good sold product, easy to install and comes with good clear instructions, I simply replaced an excising plug with this one to allow for the two extra charging ports.
Nice light switch and feels like good quality. Only problem is the screws supplied are far too short. Will need to see if I can get brushed steel screws some where. I also bought sockets and the length of screws on them were fine.

I’m no electrician and I managed to install this with no issues at all! Ensure that the product will fit your existing socket if your replacing it as I find the back to be slightly more deeper.

The good: the socket looks amazing and very expensive. Deliver was quick and on time.
Sadly I couldn’t install it where I wanted to put it because the wiring behind the socket would not reach. The L and N placements on it were the opposite side to my current plug socket. This is obviously my fault and not the products. I ended up putting my old socket back on and gave this away to a friend who says it works perfectly.

I like the product a lot.
It has revived, amongst other sockets and switches of the same range, an old kitchen and made it look more up to date.
It has a nice smooth off on click, which my old white one didn’t. It was clunky in comparison.
There are two downsides. One is the print on the plate I.e. the ‘ON’ print has faded after only a few weeks use. The second is the brushing of the steel appears to run in the opposite direction of the other sockets and switches. The photo demonstrates this.
Had theses not happened it would have been a 5 star rating.
Matches other BG brushed steel sockets and light switches already fitted. This was to replace the mess the Sky engineer left me. The big problem is that the connector protrudes some 30mm meaning that I had to dig out for a 35mm pattress box. This was a complete pain with solid stone walls. The level of detail that BG provide in the products is not sufficient. They do have what they call a Euro plate product with a LAN socket which is 20mm and this is what I should have purchased.
As all of the BG range – these are excellent faceplates. No problems and look great.
Product ok but spot the difference . Yep on only has one screw in the packaging . Marked down on easy to install due to having only one screw in one of the switches which ment had to use different screw.
Have had no problems with this so far. There is a tiny load adjustment button on the inside connections that you can turn to suit the light levels on your dimmable led bulbs. It cured the flicker we had with our previous switch and we can now dim the lights as low as we like without the sudden drop off. Am going to buy another to see if it cures the led flickering problem we developed in another room after replacing halogen with led bulbs. At this price it’s worth a try.
This is a very neat socket, and we love the look of the brushed steel – matches with the other sockets and switches we have in the same room too. I would also recommend buying and using a punch down tool for connecting the wires at the back of the socket – if you don’t have one, then buy one – you won’t regret it – so much easier than trying to make do with other tools!
Buyer beware, good looking socket but unless you only have two sets of wires into your normal metal back patress you will struggle to fit this quite wide sockets in, I failed on a loop socket 3&4 wire, ok on single and two.

Photo accurate. Screws in cable connectors had problems holding wires securely at first. Did take some extra adjustment for a flush wall fit. So experience and tweaking of socket replacement a benefit. Or just buy a multi-meter (which you should have anyway and be using) and some decorators caulk
In terms of the feel — these switches are far superior than the generic white plastic switches that you probably already have in your home. One upside is that there are no sharp edges around the switch and on the switch itself. It’s a small detail, but makes a pretty big difference to the feel every time you use the switch. In addition, the brushed steel is not sticky, and can be wiped down with ease to keep its sheen. The switch also seems to have a nice reassuring click too. It feels well built, so I hope it lasts for years to come.
Something else worth noticing is that it’s not very loud. Being used to the generic white plastic light switches, it was really nice moving to this style as there is no high-pitched clicking sound which is useful at night when trying to stay quiet.
Cons:
There is only a couple of small cons I can think about, one of them being the screws included. I would recommend using a high-quality screwdriver to install the switched because it seems that they might be easy screws to strip (but once they are in, they look great being the same colour as the switch panel). Another thing that could be considered a con depending on your preference is that the switch has a bit of resistance to it meaning it’s not extremely smooth to switch. Maybe this will get easier as time passes, but it’s no big issue really.
Overall, this is a great looking and feeling switch, especially for the cheap price. I would highly recommend them. Hopefully this review helps.
This was a lovely socket, unfortunately I had to return as it didn’t fit on our existing socket space.
Great guarantee. Previously bought 2 plastic-faced models, both of which failed miserably. (I won’t mention the make). This is chrome-faced, and feels much more substantial. Only time will tell, but I feel much more confident in the build quality.
A nicely made switch capable of carrying the load I needed for an electric shower. Easy to follow instructions, seems to be good quality all round – and cheaper than the equivalent available from DIY stores.

Now I have a twin USB and a single switched socket, which can be used for various purposes, including a shaver adapter.
Easy to fit, high quality switches. The back has a transparent (invisible when fitted) plastic back surround which prevents wall damage while giving a flush fit. The satin steel faceplate is lacquered to resist fingerprints. Very easy to fit with colour-coded terminals. And a reassuring ‘clunk’ when the switch is used.
