Perfect size to feed the smaller birds.

    Easy to fill and clean.

The little ones sit on the wee perch.

Easy access for the garden birds. This is well made and will not easily fall to bits. Good for all sorts of nuts and seeds. It is mostly sturdy plastic, but the lid is metal.

We’ve had it hanging outside in all sorts of weather recently with no problems at all.

    It does the job.

Spring is finally here and the temperature is improving, and so is the sighting of smaller birds, in my garden.

I do normally set up seeds for wild birds a little earlier than this, but with my old feeder broken, had just set this one up, and though not one that I was looking for, this still does the job.

I would have liked it to be a little sturdy, but with my garden attracting only very small birds, this does an okay job. Would expect this to last a few showers of rain and shine and hopefully last 1-2 years, which would be a full value for the money I would have paid for it 🙂

Good quality bird feeder with metal base and metal hinged lid. The perches are made from a sturdy plastic too. The tube itself is quite thin – we’ve never found thinner tubes to be an issue for general durability, but it can be an issue after repeated cleaning. It’s poor quality lids we have the biggest issue with and this has a very sturdy lid.

We wanted a small feeder just for black sunflower seeds and this is perfect. It’s easy to fill and there’s been no issues with it so far. The real test will be how durable after a few cleanings, with the thinner tube. It’s currently priced at 7.19 which isn’t bad considering the quality of the metal.

    Good feede

Really pleased with this bird feeder.
It is well made and looks good in my garden.
Most importantly the birds love it! I have already refilled it a couple of times!

    Delighted with this bird feeder!

The top and bottom are metal unlike others I have tried which have been plastic and the body is a strong durable PVC.

The feeder is very say to take apart for cleaning and is easy to fill

It does have a bit of weight to it too so less likely to be upset by larger birds and wind.

I really like this bird feeder and will be buying more to replace my plastic ones.

    Good value and Recommended

This a a great wee bird feeder, really simple and easy to use.
The metal parts seen really robust, but the clear plastic tube is a little flimsy, It wont last years, but I find that these type of bird feeders get pretty manky after a couple of seasons and need to be disposed of – It would be great if they did replacement plastic tubes.
The coal tits really seem to like this in particular and are happy to perch and eat.

great feeder although the tube is a little flimsy

Nice little bird feeder, easy to fill (I have a sunflower/seed mix in mine) with 2 perches and a big enough hole for not only bird beaks but also our squirrels can get their fingers in to get the seeds out. Looks nice in black hanging on a 3 branch metal hanger on the back fence and the birds seem to like it. Also the seeds are protected from the rain so don’t go bad.

The base and lid are made of sturdy metal but the plastic tube feels thin/flimsy, which lets it down a little, it is easy to fill and it has little perches for the birds to sit on whilst feeding, it definitely reduces spillage on the ground and the seed is kept dry

lovey addition to a feeding statio

I received this bird feeder for free as part of the Amazon Vine Programme.

This is a nice, lightweight bird feeder! It is easy to fill, looks good quality and hangs up nicely on my bird feeder. I’m hoping to encourage some more small birds to my garden as the pigeons, magpies and the occasional sparrowhawk have been scaring them off lately. I like that it has small holes so it is specifically for the small birds and hopefully the bigger birds will focus on the food that is out for them. Hopefully it is squirrel proof but that hasn’t been tested yet! The only negative for me was that it didn’t come with any protective packaging around it. It was loose in a box with some plastic around it and I was very lucky that it was delivered safely without breaking.

Perfect bird feeder for attracting small birds into your garden (
Goldfinch, chaffinch, blue tits have happily been feeding from this feeder daily
    Quick and easy to fill
Copes well in wind but needs to be removed in extreme weather
    Good quality and value
    Please with it
A great way of attracting more wildlife to your garden
    Would highly recommend

This is a nice bird feeder; the top and base are metal, rather than plastic. It would be ideal for sunflower seeds and normal mixed birdseed

I have knocked a star off as it is described as suitable for niger seed. Niger seeds are tiny; they require a feeder with a much smaller hole.

A perfectly OK bird feeder, but it is not suitable for niger seed

There is nothing unusual about this bird feeder. It’s better made than some of the cheaper ones available, and has a practical design. It consists of a thin acetate tube to hold and dispense the seeds, topped by a domed sheet metal cap with enough overhang to keep the rain off the feeding ports in most conditions. The base is a similar metal pressing that projects into the base of the tube sufficiently to be secured by a stainless steel rod passing through holes in both. The rod extends into plastic mouldings on either end to form perches below the integral feeding ports that pass through larger holes in the tube. The ports meet inside the tube and are fixed together by a single cross-head screw. Releasing the screw allows the whole bottom section to be dismantled for cleaning. The final part of the feeder is the stainless-steel wire hanging loop that passes down through holes in the lid and through plastic fittings that attach it to the tube through small holes on either side. The feeder is filled by sliding the lid up the wire, and tilting the tube. It’s probably better not to attempt to remove this assembly for cleaning because the plastic plugs are a tight fit in the thin plastic tube, and damage may result. The lid and base are painted with a hammered enamel paint that should prevent corrosion if undamaged. The feeder holds about 500ml of typical seed mix, and the birds took to it immediately. Recommended.

    A practical conventional bird feeder.

Small bird feeder. The plastic of the main part is a softer type. This would be great for small birds but might be easily broken if you have stronger bigger birds or squirrel. Easy to fill up with seeds and mealworms. The birds really like this feed .

I have several of this type of feeder, that I have purchased from a well known high street store, and they are considerably more sturdy than they look. I’ve found them quite easy to keep clean and they are easy to fill as well and I have then hanging from the trees in the garden. I have had casualties over the years as they tend to become brittle after two or three years out in all weathers and constant attacks from the ring necked parakeets take a toll. However the current cost of 8.99 is really expensive as in my well known high street store they are currently selling for 2.25!
