Im so pleased with the Crosswave. My tiled floors are really clean, takes a little time using it to get used to holding the detergent trigger for spraying. This means I only need to dampen when needed or really wet if necessary. Used it to freshen 2 rugs today aswell.Brought up the pile and freshened them well.

This machine has taken all the hard work & backache out of cleaning floors, a pleasure to this job now. It is so well at doing its job .with the powerful suction the floor is left nearly dry. wonderful machine a must for all floors, don’t delay order yours today.

I have tiles & karndean flooring. Wasn’t aware of how dirty they had become using a standard mop until I wiped up a spillage with a cloth & could see the tile become a lighter colour . This product is excellent and has restored the tiles to their original colour.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat product! Bought to replace a Vax hard floor cleaner that was much heavier with separate scrubbing brushes (one stopped working after 1 week). This cleaner is easier to use, works better, is FAR quicker and comes with a drip stand. Would have been good to have a replacement roller brush for the price but it’s so much better to use I’m not going to deduct for that small thing. Thank you Bissell! You have made cleaning my large floor much less of a chore – also mean I spend less time brushing it first as this does both suction and cleaning.

Bought this as we have a lot of hard flooring plus a dog who loves muddy puddles! Easy to use and works well, like that you can use on carpet too

Ok so I have wood laminate, faux grass, door mat, carpets. Yes my grass is indoors! But this little beauty works on all. My only gripe is my long hair which still wraps around the roller but once you spin it, it can be cut away with nail scissors

I thought about this a while before purchase. My dog is elderly with all the problems that entails. Anyway the day it arrived I had it put together in minutes. I cleaned all my hard floors and the stained areas of my carpet. It removed old dried stains and freshened everything. Taking the areas apart was straight forward. The filter, brush cover and and dirty tank were easily rinsed. The filter came apart and I ran plenty of fresh water through it to clean it. I have had dirty water tanks for carpet cleaners so stupidly shaped that all they did was collect dirt in the corners. The tank on this was small but very easy to clean. The brush easily came off and was rinsed. There is a system where you pour water on the tray provided and run the machine. This will obviously will rinse through the inside tubes. Fluff and gritty dirt from the carpet is collected in the dirty water tank. When emptying ensure you have a strainer in the sink plug hole, or it would all go down the drain. I wouldn’t say it would replace a vacuum cleaner. When the instructions say rugs they mean carpets. Rugs just get sucked up. Would recommend.

This is my third attempt to become friends with a hard floor cleaner. I have tried two others and sent both back. One begins with V and has three letters, the other begins with K and also does power washers. Both had great reviews but I should have known to choose an item that is manufactured by a company that ONLY makes cleaners.
This is a robust and easy to use piece of equipment and it worked beautifully on my floors. I have a vinyl/Karndean type floor and it worked wonders. The problems I have had with other hard floor cleaners were leaking dirty water, rollers not spinning, rollers getting dirty and not cleaning effectively and poor build quality. Trust me…this one will not disappoint. The roller has soft and hard bristles so it lifts dirt easily. I clean my floor every day as I have two dogs and bifold doors so it’s always dirty. I cleaned it yesterday with the ‘K’ cleaner. Today I used the Bissell for the first time and the dirty water container contains water I would not like to photograph! Delighted… I now have a new friend.

Ordered this after my sister bought one. I love it! We have dogs and are an outdoor family so there is always mud and dirt to clean. Our new favourite thing to do is send each other pictures of the dirty water! Very impressed and it’s very easy to clean all the elements

Comes almost assembled with just a few things to pop together. Also comes with the stand which is not mentioned anywhere ( see the battery powered version to see what the stand is like ). All in all seem very well made.
The liquid containers are pretty small so honestly I would not advise it for hoovering carpets, but it is just fine for cleaning hard floors. It doesn’t use a lot of cleaning fluid in one pass so don’t expect to get your floors pristine in one go, it takes a few attempts at first to get them shining. Having said that, the floors looked great after just one pass. I suppose it could be supplemented with an old spray bottle filled with cleaner for spot application if you need that extra oomph.
I love the way it hoovers up the odd bits on the floor while you are washing it! A mop won’t do that.
The dirty water collector needs to be pulled apart and cleaned each time, but that’s no big deal. I managed to do the entire house with one charge of cleaner and one emptying of the dirty water tank.
It also happily sucks up pet hair, thankfully.
It’s not very loud but it is fairly high pitched which makes its sound reasonably uncomfortable.
I tried it on a fairly rough slate floor too, and it worked great.
A traditional mop is far better for dealing with a really dirty floor. Come to think of it a standard hoover is better at vacuuming too….and a dedicated carpet cleaner is better at cleaning carpets as well. I guess at the end of the day this is for daily cleaning, not for when you have a disaster or need to really do a spring clean.

Anyway, I have no problem recommending one. They are great.

So much time saved not having to vacuum first, then getting the mop and bucket out. the Bissel 3 in 1 does all this in one. I can’t see myself without this machine. Only negative for me is the border of about 2 cm around the skirting boards that the brush does not reach but well worth the money.

As with all non slip lino type plastic our large kitchen floor was a blighter to keep clean, not helped by our small dog’s dirty feet. The floor installer advised us not to use a steam cleaner as it could damage the surface. The only way to keep it looking smart was by scrubbing the floor once a week on hands and knees. A tedious job. We have found the new Bissell Crosswave easy to use and it does a brilliant job of cleaning the floor without hard work. I can fully recommend it.

We have recently moved into a house with hard flooring throughout the kitchen and downstairs. This was an essential buy to keep the floors clean. Easy to use, easy to manoeuvre and very effective. My floors had there first clean today (once all the boxes had gone) and I knew the floors were dirty, but the amount of dirt it picked up was incredible!

I read lots of mixed reviews and videos before buying this product. I have White tiled floors, four dogs, two kids and a husband that is in and out the garden constantly! I worried like in some reviews that there would be dirty water residue and streaks left behind. Although this is not the most expensive machine on the market it is still a lot to pay if it isn’t going to work. This arrived today and I am really pleased with it. Did exactly as it says on the box…vacuums and mops/cleans at the same time. Job done in half the time. I found it quick and easy to use. Odd spot of dirty water which was easily solved by going over it again without the water trigger pulled. Left the floors very clean and almost dry in minutes. If I had to pick fault with the machine I would say it is a bit noisy and the cleaning brush does not go right to the edges (brushes on other brands were the same) but I didn’t find either of these a problem and would definitely recommend. The machine needs to be cleaned when you are finished but again no major job, just a quick rinse of the the tanks and brush.

We got this cleaner because although our stone flooring looked clean it weren’t sure how clean it really was. We Hoover every week and run a vax steam cleaner over it every fortnight.

The cleaner comes almost fully assembled, you only need to click the handle in. No tools required for assembly.

Upon first clean we were firstly amazed at how dirty the water collected was and secondly shocked that we had been living with such dirty floors for so long.

We’ve only used it once but plan on cleaning every week until the collected water begins being less filthy.

Overall I’m super impressed at how well this cleans and would recommend it to anyone with hard flooring.

Will shock you how dirty your floors really are

I did a stupid amount of research before buying this. I looked at the Vax and the Airwave amongst others. It is a really quick way to get all types of hard floors clean. I use it on tiles, oak floors and riven stone floors. It seems to get the floors very clean and its quick. Its easy to fill, clean and manoevre.
    Great product so far…

I have a large stone flagged kitchen floor which has been the bane of my life to clean. This works really well to clean and dry the area. Also used on the door mats, and to spot clean other carpet areas – so easy to switch over to clean. Only criticism is that it does not clear right to the edges. Important to clean the roller, tank and cover after each use, but that only takes 5 minutes. But very happy overall. Would recommend.

My kitchen diner has dark natural slate floors – as such there are lots of ridges ( Tip – if you are considering a floor like this – don’t do it – just don’t do it) We also have two Labradors and living in the country also a lot of mud….Mopping the floor at least daily was ineffective as the mop just allowed muddy water to gather in the ridges – soul destroying as the floor never looked clean. I tried a steam cleaner and that was a small improvement but I didn’t feel it really lifted the grime.

The crosswave is brilliant – The brushes get into the grooves and ridges and being a vacuum as well sucks up the water so it does not gather in the cracks . The water collecting tank is so easy to empty and clean ( was appalled at the colour of the water – my floor was filthy) and the machine itself is very easy to manoeuvre. I can whizz over the floor in about 20 minutes and it actually looks clean when I am done. I am happy and the Labradors can run amok with their muddy paws as cleaning the floor now is a relative joy!

I have a large open plan kitchen living room and dogs. Used to take me hours to brush or hoover then mop change the water. This does the job in half an hour. I was concerned about the small water reservoirs but I don’t fill it anymore often than my 8 yr old vax cleaner and the light weight and maneuverability make it worth while alone. Very happy. Purchased yesterday!

Best product I have bought in ages. Hard Floors throughout my house and a dog and cat to contend with. You can imagine how many times I would hoover and mop a week. This is all in one and is quick and easy. Picks up all the hair and cleans perfectly. Nothing better than emptying the waste bucket to see how much its cleaned. Would recommend!!

Having all wooden floors, and a husky and German shepherd I was unsure how good the bissel would be. Looking at the previous reviews I decide I’d give it a go, and I’m happy I did, although it takes a little longer than vacuuming it makes a good job of the floor as it Hoover’s and mops at the same time. I just hope it continues to work ok. I’ve had it approximately 10 week.

I bought this for the mop function alone but it picks up dog hairs and grit that my Dyson animal hoover has missed. Even though I use it right after I’ve hoovered! It’s so simple to use and as someone with a slate floor I find it cleans far better than a standard mop with half the effort. Definitely recommended.

I was busy cleaning my carpets when I wondered why there wasn’t a similar machine to clean hard/vinolay floors. A machine where there was one tank for clean water and one tank for dirty water. So I looked into this and found the Bissell Crosswave floor cleaner. No more wringing out of mops and pushing dirty water around the floor. No more cleaning of pads or throwing them away. This machine hoovers and cleans the floor and does it easily, quickly and effectively. No it’s not cheap BUT I think it’s worth it and although this may sound corny I am actually looking forward to my next floor clean. The only bit I found difficult was interpreting the pictorial instructions. I then found some simple starter instructions on the back of another piece of paper so look out for those!!

First of all this is a revolutionary improvement over old school mopping using increasingly dirty mop water. For that reason alone I could give this 5 stars. But I docked a star because it has no facility to get into small spaces like around radiator supports or the bit of floor between the toilet and the wall. For that fifth star in your next version please design in some kind of hand attachment fot those spaces and also to get right to the edges. I’m also not won over by the rug cleaning function, result were only so-so, hence I don’t recommend buying it just for that. But it really does do a supurb job on unobstructed hards floors and so have no regrets buying it for that.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI purchesed one in August ’20. Only to stop worling after less then two months. It was ny 2nd crosswave and i was very satisfied with 1st one. Amazon told me to contact manufacturer, which i did and they made it impossible, with excuses they are unable to give me a bl**dy date by when it would be fixed or replaced. I called Amazon and told them the excuses I have heard. Only for Amazon to step in and replace my item which was a nice surprise since it was pass 28day rule if exchange and replace. The replacement product is working great and I’m only giving 4stars due to Amazon incredible service as Bissell as company deserve not even one after the way I was treated.

We bought this to keep our new gym clean. We use it on black rubber tiles and a vinyl welcome area flooring. Suction is good and the wet cleaning is what we needed it for as a mop would fall to pieces on the rubber tiles. It does spit out residue and leave marks behind so it’s perfect but pretty good and easy to maneuver around the gym.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersLove this I’ve done a lot of research on these vacuums as I wanted something worthwhile I chose this for a few reasons price, reviews, detail, and style I had it delivered today and have filled the water tank to the highest setting put the solution in that came with it and off I went so easy to use done my lounge which is 20ft by 15ft then emptied the tank as you can see in the pictures uch y fi on to the kitchen which is the same size and omg just as bad Even though I hoovered and washed floors Thursday so day before yesterday this is what it was like today but you can see the difference and feel it the floors are much nicer than normal mopping alone I have fibromyalgia and can’t use anything heavy but this is just right and easy to maneuver too xx I will update at a later date and let you know how it is xx UPDATE this is the best thing in my life I have washed not only my hard floors but my bedroom carpets too two of them are hard-wearing but the other one is a fluffy carpet it washed them perfectly and only took about 3 hours to fully dry xx will update again later xx UPDATE 1/1/21 still absolutely loving my washing vacuum cleaner one thing I would like on it which would make it the absolute best thing would be to have a suction pipe to be able to sick under items as in sofas cupboards corners this would make the cleaner the best out of any cleaners xx

The vacuum feels reasuringly robust and the various rollers/washer bottles/tank click easily into place. I have stone/tiled floors and multiple large rugs so chose this cleaner for it’s versatility. It works well on the rugs, they look cleaner, the dirty water tank is shockingly filthy and the rugs dont appear to get too wet. The vacuum is not that well suited to a slightly irregular stone or tiled floor. The brushes will miss any areas that are uneven such as the grouting or natural uneveness in stone flags and the same goes for when the dirty water is vacuumed back leaving wet tracts and brush marks. Gone back to mop and bucket for hard floors. Cleaning up the brushes/tank is a faff.

Apart from not being as lightweight as suggested this is s truly awesome cleaner.
We brought this as a back up to our Bissel carpet shampoo and deep cleaner. But it has far exceeded what was expected and has proven itself to be a good spot cleaner and better than our steam cleaner.
I should explain. We have a cat with IBD/Colitis which means regularly we have diarrhea that needs cleaning up. So we wipe what we can up then spray with Bissel Pre Treatment and crosswave the area after ten minutes. So far 100% clear up with no staining of the light coloured carpet.
In the kitchen and on the laminate flooring it appears to perform better than the steam cleaner and removes the need to sweep or vacuum the flood before washing.
As said before it has so far exceeded all expectations. But be warned you’ll find yourself extra brushes and filters for this quite quickly.

My only criticism is that the Hoover doesnt have any attachments, so it makes getting into corners and around the skirting boards not very good if you just want to use it as a Hoover. It cleans the floors very well but I still have to use a separate Hoover on the floor first to clear up the animal fur.

Used for the first time today and I can honestly say it’s done wonders to my living room carpet and kitchen floor. It took out a coffee stain and general grubbiness from the carpet. In the kitchen where it is an old floor and in honesty never looks sparkling made it look ten times better. I think given regular use it will bring it back to shiny. The smell of the detergent is fresh and appealing. I highly recommend this product.

Our outgoing tenant had not truly cleaned my property for 2 years. The porcelain tiles in the kitchen and dining room were very soiled and the vinyl plank flooring to the rest of the ground floor needed deep cleaning – dust, grime and footprints! Although the Bissel dirty water tank fills quickly it was very satisfying seeing the rich dark brown grit enriched waste water being poured down the sink. I also used it to clean the bedroom carpets – not too bad a result and quicker than my soil extraction machine. Researched other machines before purchase, glad I made the right choice!!

As you see I have both the Karcher hard floor cleaner and the Bissell Crosswave and this afternoon after taking delivery of the Bissell I am gifting the Karcher to my son! The Crosswave is fabulous! It is loud, like my corded shark if you are familiar with that noise, but my heavens it is brilliant. It does what it says on the tin, I have high white gloss floor and with a new puppy it was mucky to put it lightly. There is not a mark or streak on my floor, unlike the Karcher where I had to go over the same spot a few times if it was sticky or mucky, one pass with this and it is gone. It does vacuum as it states, including dog hair and human hair which the Karcher left behind. It leaves the floors much drier too and my gloss floor was dry in about 1 min, lino 4 mins and kitchen laminate about1 min, The only negative thing though, it doesn’t get right to the skirting boards – the cleaning brush stops about 1cm from the edges. It was easily emptied and the filters etc easily cleaned and rinsed and I cleaned the brushes in the holding base which cleans the brushes automatically when you pour water into the base and turn it on. I am delighted. I also used it on my very short pile hallway carpet (which is not a rug but I tried it anyway), it didn’t look dirty but it was obviously worse than I thought! I didn’t need this Crosswave to be honest but now I have it, bye bye Karcher!

    A superb purchase

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHaving recently got a cocker spaniel I wanted something to clean our hard floors (Karndean and Amptico). I was reassured by the 4.5 stars but a bit concerned about some of the one star reviews. I have been very impressed, as my picture shows the Cross wave picks up plenty of dirt. The crosswave is really just an electric mop and bucket. You apply cleaning fluid to the roller, it brushes and dirty water is sucked up. I can’t understand some of the one star reviews, the clean and dirty water is separate so I don’t agree that it just pushes dirty water about. Not all the water is sucked up but really there is only a tiny film left which quickly dries, I think it unrealistic to expect the floor to be totally dry.

Very Good. Read this before you buy.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersEdited 2 weeks after purchase: I originally saw an advert for the Vax power one and as I love a cleaning gadget I started looking into it and then came across the Bissell Crosswave. I opted for the bissell for 3 reasons – firstly I already have a Bissell carpet cleaner and love it, secondly the Bissell has the option to change from hard floors to rugs and thirdly it plugs in rather than being rechargeable and as I have a fairly big house with hard floors throughout downstairs I didn’t want to have to keep recharging to complete my cleaning.
The Crosswave looks good and is very easy to put together and then disassemble for cleaning. It cleans brilliantly! I have 4 kids and 2 dogs and like to think I am pretty clean. My floors get vacuumed at least 5 times a week and washed 2-3 times a week alternating between mop and bucket with hospital strength anti bac floor cleaner and the Shark steam mop with steamer detergent added to the tank. I have both tile and wooden floors and I don’t think they ever look dirty. This showed me otherwise!!
I used it for the first time having washed the floor the previous day with my steam mop. The water was mud brown!! I have used it again the following day and the picture attached is the water from today’s clean. I am shocked at how dirty it is. My floor definitely feels cleaner.
The clean water tank is a good size and I can go over my kitchen floor twice on one tank. The cord is a good length.
On the negative, this is quite heavy to use and so wouldn’t suit anyone who struggles with grip or heavy vacuum cleaners. It is also very noisy. You wouldn’t want to use it if you had kids in bed sleeping!
    Overall though I love this!
Edit: 3rd picture shows the difference in the floor after 2 weeks of use, used 3 times a week. It’s the bit round the edges the cleaner can’t get to! Yuck!! Been on hands and knees today steaming and scrubbing to get the edges clea

    Great cleaning!!

We have had this product for a few weeks now and I am seriously impressed. We have a long haired cat who is a little ball of fluff and you wouldn’t believe the amount of hair we have to empty. We brought this over the VAX and I’m so glad we did. You do have to refill the water/solutio mix and empty the dirty water but it takes two seconds. I would also say that it’s more of a weekly clean thing so we use a flash mop if the floors need a mid week touch up. The hoover function is really powerful and it’s great that you can do rugs/carpets aswell. Really happy with this purchase and that rarely happens for me with online shopping these days!

I tried several mops and vacuums for my tiled floor, but this one is head and shoulders above other ones. Does an excellent job of vacuuming and mopping, leaves no residue or bits.

Vacuuming is at par with any other vacuum cleaner and mopping is far better than any other mops I have used (including steam mops from some leading brands).

Very lightweight, easy to handle and does the job very quickly.

The only negative point is it doesn’t go in the tight corners

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI thought my floors were clean, boy was I wrong!. I am disabled and have problems using my hands, other floor cleaners I have tried are difficult for me to take apart to clean and fill up and hard to manoeuvre, but not this one very easy. It goes from floor to rug ssmoothly, it even picks up kibble the dogs have left on the floor and their hair just vanishes!!. I used to use a cordless vacuum cleaner follows by a steam cleaner which was becoming difficult for me now job done in record time. I have the corded animal version but would now consider the cordless if it wasn’t so expensive. I have been recommending this cleaner to all my friends and family. Yes to begin with I was having to empty the dirty water reducing frequently just because of the dirt it was finding but now it is no longer a problem and I have got used to the cord. I hesitated for weeks before buying due to the cost but it is well worth the money and looks well made and should last, plenty of spares available if needed. The solutions is good it seems expensive at first but a little goes a long way. Would like to give it more stars. Go for it.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI bought this after buying its close competitor from the company that does good car pressure washers and begins with a ‘K…’
The other machine leaks and it a pain to use. You go through liquid quickly but it does a good job.

However the MAJOR difference with the BISSEL is you have a trigger and it only dispenses water when you want it to. This has a huge advantage. It means you can use and dispense water on really filthy areas but use the damp rollers on normal hard floors . but even better you can switch to RUG mode and you can use it like a hoover OR is you want to clean a spill on the carpet you can use the wash trigger to dispense some rug cleaner and suck up the residue. I did this method using a solution from rug doctor and it worked brilliantly removed a stain from blood. Overall the cleaning in hover and wet scrub mode is excellent and on hard floors as well as carpet. Glad I returned the other one and got this. Recommended BUY.

I watched some online video reviews before I purchased the crosswave. As it sucked up broken eggs shells and jam off a floor I was impressed.
The day it arrived unsure as to whether it would live up to the videos, as it is easy to make things look amazing when in reality they are not.
I can happily report that the crosswave is a fantastic bit of kit.
My wife always moaned that the kitchen floor was a nightmare to mop and never looked clean (pic1)
She used the crosswave and after a couple of passes it looked so clean (pic2+3) she was quite amazed as like me she thought it would not be as good as she had seen.
The amount of dirt you see in the waste tank after using it is quite astonishing.
Only one issue she has had with it is that it does not get right up to the edges but it’s only a small gripe
I would highly recommend one for anyone who has hard or laminated flooring.

    Brilliant better than expected

We have mucky pets and also rough non-slip tiles in the kitchen – this means muddy paw prints every day. The tiles have been so rough they pull off the towel pads from my steam cleaner and shred my mop so I was resorting to a bristle brush and soap, but this left the dirty water on the floor. This fabulous machine has made washing the tiles so easy and it also leaves them almost dry and with a nice scent afterwards. I find a small amount of water and detergent goes a long way, and it is important to clean the filter and machine after washing the floor, but luckily it is so easy to take apart and access. Very glad I bought this.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSo pleased with this item, I did my research and read many reviews before purchasing and was hopeful and excited to try it out. I was not disappointed. It is lighter than I was expecting which was an instant bonus. I’ve used it on my tiles floors which have a matt finish and I’ve never seen them so clean. I had moped the floors 3 days prior to using the cross wave, so thought they were reasonably clean, but after seeing the floors afterwards and looking at the waste water I couldnt have been more wrong.
The finish is great and the floors dry so much faster than if you’re using a standard mop. I no longer have to hoover, mop and hoover again to collect the bits that got away.
I would recommend this item, very pleased with my purchase.

After months of going through the reviews between this, Karcher and Dyson specifically for a hard floor cleaner, I definitely think I made the right choice – Brought for a stoned tiled Coffee shop this has halved the time it takes to clean the floor and brings the stone up a lot better than conventional mop and bucket – Easy to assemble – set up – use and clea

I love this floor cleaner. Works well on hard floors but also works really well on rugs. Love that it vacuums up small items at same time as washing floor. I bought an extra brush head to ensure floors were getting best clean possible. Still have to go round edges of floor where cleaner doesn’t reach but would expect this with any machine. Easy to fill and empty. Only gripe is that I find removing/replacing brush cover quite tricky but that could be just me!

Cleans mats and small area of carpet as a straightforward suction cleaner, and also solid floor surfaces. It can then be used to dispense a multi surface cleaner fluid to wash out dirt from mats and carpets and surface dirt and stains, on solid floors. It also comes with an “easy clean facility” where the Cross Wave is placed in a specially shaped tray and residual (or newly added water) cleaning fluid is recycled into the waste water container. This automatically cleans the internal channels and importantly the microfibre roller without any dismantling. It is mains operated so quite a long lead which sometimes gets in the way. It will not clean right into corners.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have waited more than a year to leave a review for this machine because sometimes they start of being great but then they break or they are hard to clean or stop doing such a great job BUT whoever designed this deserves a multitude of awards! I live in a messy house, full of boys and dogs all who do very little around the household. This machine cleans my kitchen tiles, my laminate flooring and my living room rug. It has cleaned carpet spills. The cleaning liquid is fab and the best bit is the machine is so easy to clean from the large container to the brush all of it is designed with ease and effectiveness in mind. A bit dramatic but I could not cope without having this machine in my house. Even my young son has used to clean the kitchen floor!

This has made cleaning so much easier! I like to have the right gadget for the housework jobs otherwise I put stuff like cleaning the floors off. I hate the mop and bucket thing and find that if I wipe up spills in between cleans, the floor cloth shows how dirty my floors still are even if I’ve recently mopped. My floors are proper clean now! The Bissell really does make things not only easier but the cleanliness is far superior to traditional methods. I don’t have any rugs although going by the good job it does on my front door mat, I’d say it would be great for this also. It comes apart too which makes it very easy to keep the unit clean. I would 100% recommend this.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersVery happy with this after a lot of research. We’re using it in our pottery to clean the floor which is constantly covered in clay and glaze. My partner says it’s not perfect and leaves some clay marks on the floor but there’s never going to be a machine to equal scrubbing on your hands and knees in my opinion and I prefer the convenience to perfection. It works better if you go slow but sometimes I skim over and don’t get everything off the floor, and ideally I should let the floor dry so I could see what’s been missed and go over it again, but life’s too short and this machine means I can keep the place looking ok if not perfect for minimum effort. I love that it sucks as well as mops and you can change the amount of water being used by choosing the hard floor or rug setting. The water tank is easy to empty (and the disgusting mess that comes out shows how much it’s picking up). If you were a family member I would not hesitate to recommend.

All in all I am pleased with the ease of use and it is easier than a mop on the hard floors

I bought this for my hardwood floors. I have two pets that moult all year round and because of this machine, It now takes no time to clean the whole house. Plus the floor dries very quickly compared to using an actual mop. Most of the complaints about this product is that it doesn’t clean corners, so what?! This machine works well and makes cleaning easy!

    Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersSo we’ve had this for a few months and I think I can probably give an good overview of the product now. Overall it’s very good- it makes cleaning hard floors much more convenient and less messy with a few caveats;

This is not an industrial scrubber- think of it as a vigorous wiper. It will clean most of the dirt off your floor but will not handle really stubborn stains.

You have to pass over the floor slowly to be effective- it’s not like a vacuum cleaner.

It can get to within an inch and a half of skirting boards.

It’s important to clean it out soon after you use it, otherwise it starts to smell

All this said, if you use this often it makes light work of keeping a floor clean. The floors come up slightly damp and dry quickly and it’s a lot less effort and mess than manual mopping.

Works well On our karndean floors and handles the dog hair with no blocking.

It’s Does the job quite well, but it’s not for large spaces .its needed fill the water container and empty the dirt container very often.

Only the manufacturer’s detergent should be used
If not used by the manufacturer, the device produces foam that leaves marks on the floor it’s very noisy.
I would rather buy a device for large spaces and have more functions than floor cleaning and carpeting alone.

You have to get used to working with the device especially if you have a glazed ceramic floo

I bought this because I have back & hip issues. Specifically for my slate floor in the kitchen that is slightly uneven which makes hard work with a traditional mop & bucket. & I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t do it as often as I’d liked. With a bulldog puppy running in & out from the garden it became quickly apparent I needed help. The 1st time I used the Crosswave I was amazed. Easy to set up , easy to use, common sense cleaning

Cleans wooden and tile floors and rugs (not carpets or very large rugs). Very pleased with the cleaning quality. The ease of assembly before use and equipment cleaning after use are straightforward. The only issue is that it doesn’t get into tight corners – a small hand attachment would be useful.

I bought this to replace a karcher fc5 which was very heavy and very awkward to use. This doesn’t leak dirty water over the floor when the tanks full as there’s a cut off telling you it needs emptying. Great to give the carpets a quick once over as well. As it doesn’t flood the area, it tries very quickly. On hard floors 20 to 15 mins and it’s dry, as long as the rooms warm and has some air movement. Definitely a good purchase, unlike the karcher fc5.

I love to cook, inevitability food will fall on the floor, we have a dog so again food water muddy footprints on the floor, children under 3, food on the floor. I have a tiled kitchen area, and the rest is wood flooring, Bissell has made an outstanding product here. Our dog loves to sit on rugs, so we have a rug that can go in the washing machine, recently we had new stair carpet put in and a large offcut was perfect for our dog but I always have to spot clean it but now!! I can do everything all in one go brilliant! thank you Bissell.

I run a small.domestic cleaning business and therefore clean a lot.of houses, many with large areas of hard flooring. There is absolutely no doubt that this item saves time on the traditional vacuuming and mopping and anything that saves time in my industry gets a big thumbs up from.me.

The suction on this machine is excellent and it will suck.up almost anything, wet or dry. However, I wouldn’t say it is a miracle cleaning machine, it cleans no better than a vacuum and steam mop and one downside is that it doesn’t really reach the edges and corners of the room. It works well on most hard floors, wood, tile and ceramic, however, if tiles are very shiny, the roller tends to skid around and leave marks behind. It is also good at cleaning rugs as long as they are large and weighted, otherwise it will just suck them up and get jammed. I don’t agree that the machine dries as it goes, although it doesn’t take long for the floors to dry, it cannot be drying when the roller brush is constantly wet!

The dirty tank is small and gets full very quickly, however it is quick and easy to empty to carry on. Cleaning the machine when you have finished with it is also easy and quick but I would recommend getting a second filter and roller brush as they take 24hrs to dry between uses.

The biggest thumbs down is the cost of the formula, which doesn’t go far, I can get through a one litre bottle of this stuff after cleaning about 3 houses, so.I do have to limit how.much I use the machine because of this. Shame really as I would use it.much more otherwise.

Overall, an excellent time saving piece of equipment but expensive to run.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersI bought this about 9 months ago, hoping, but not entirely convinced, that it would be the answer to cleaning the uneven slate floors in my airbnb. I had been sweeping, hoovering and either manual mopping or steam mopping. Despite all my efforts and a floor that looked as clean as a slate floor looks I till got a couple of reviews saying the floor was not clean enough.
    So I bought this.
I wasn’t sure how well it would cope with the floors.
Ohh, it has coped really well. I don’t know what I would do without it now! I will try and remember to add some pictures. I use the concentrated flash multi surface cleaner with it and that works just great. It does manage to sook up a lot of the water so the floor dries off pretty quickly and I get the satisfaction of emptying out the gathered revoltingly dirty water along with any fluff etc that the vacuuming missed.
Remember and clean the brush and empty out/rinse the filter after use otherwise it’ll stink.
This has been an amazing buy for me. Hopefully their technology will improve and develop something perfect for uneven floors as well as a head that can get right up to the edges. This one leaves a small gap. However it is so much better than anything else and makes my life so much easier and the cottage so much cleaner! I really do love it. Almost as much as our robot lawnmower. Almost.

This is a big serious bit of kit. I had hoped it would live in the cupboard with the hoover – no chance.
I found the set up instructions very unhelpful; even after I’d fathomed out what to do by trial and error I couldn’t make
sense of the diagrams. The machine is very noisy in use. However, all that said, it cleans the floor very swiftly and effectively. A lot happens in my kitchen, but the Bissell cleared up even propolis without making the floor too wet.

What a pleasure! I no longer loathe cleaning the hard floors in my house. Bought in anticipation of changing to all hard floors in near future, needed something to help. Did lots of research. Key points, it picks up everything so no need to pre vacuum the floors, leaves the floor slightly damp so dries really fast, and has a safety cut off when the dirty water tank is full so no spillages or damage to machine. It is a bit heave and has to be to clean properly but weight is on floor not hand held.

I absolutely love this machine. I have laminate flooring through my ground floor plus a dog plus a builder for a husband. The mud which comes into my house on a regular basis was driving me nuts. The dog can also shed her own body weight in hair on a daily basis.
Before this came along I would have to Hoover then steam clean. Now I can do the job in one go and my floors are left dirt and hair free in half the time.
Yes, cleaning the machine afterwards takes about five minutes but when you see the color of the water and bits it has picked up it’s a small price to pay.
I would recommend this machine without a doubt.

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersI was hesitant about buying this. I already have the Karcher floor cleaner, but this wasn’t performing that well.
I have had the bissell 2 days and have used it throughout my bungalow.
The benefits against the karcher is that the bissell releases more water onto the rollers. Because of that and the faster roller spin it cleans much faster. I can do my kitchen floor in half the time! The floors are a tiny bit wetter but much cleaner.
As a lot of the other comments have stated it’s shame it doesn’t clean to the edge. It probably leaves 3cm.
It also picks up dog hair much better too. My karcher used to spit chunks out. But the bissell is great.
So for those wanting to buy one of these I would recommend the bissell every time!

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersWe only have hard floors in our house. I have tried all sorts of methods but nothing gets the floors clean. Mops, robot swiffers, steam cleaners etc. The kids always had dirty feet as everything just seemed to smear the dirt so it looked clean but had a fine layer of dirt on top. We have underfloor heating so spills bake on within minutes leaving a sticky mess. Finally I have clean floors and the kids have clean feet. The Crosswave actually puts a small amount of clean water on the floor, scrubs and then sucks up dirty water. It also hoovers at the same time and works well on larger bits and very fine dirt. It even picks up glitter, of which we seem to constantly have a fine sprinkling over ever surface. It’s easy to clean and store after use and I have used it almost every day. When the kids spill something on the floor it’s easier to get the Crosswave out than mop it up with a cloth. I can clean the door mats at the same time. We have a cleaner and she saved half an hour as she doesn’t have to hoover first before steam mopping. As s professional she told me how amazed she was with how well it worked. I think she was skeptical at first.

Downsides are the formula is a bit pricey, it could clean a bit closer to the edges as it’s is about an inch away. Also when mopping using a traditional mop you usually work backwards, but as the Crosswave works as a hoover it only picks up dirt in front of it. This means you have to use it going forward so you are walking over the slightly damp floor you’ve just cleaned. However these are minor points for improvement.

I don’t have any carpets so I can’t say how well it works as a normal hoover but if you have a large amount of hard floors this is an absolute necessity.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Usersordered with some trepidation as could have been a gimmick, so far two-weeks in is proving its worth. Couldn’t believe how dirty the waste water was from the initial cleans and even more from the subsequent ones. With two dogs and a muddy garden it has proven to be really good at keeping the downstairs tiled areas clean. Very easy to set up and operate, a little bit of a fiddle emptying and washing down but not too bad. Really cleans well and importantly sucks up the water leaving virtually dry, in summer will be nearly instant. A bit of a puzzle about the two-tone motor sound indicating dirty tank is full, sometimes doesn’t reset back after emptying. Only reason for 4 not 5 star review is that not sure how long-term durable the various components will be, a lot of plastic that looks as if could break in time. To date a real godsend with dirty dogs and muddy garden. Will be keen to see whether lasts beyond a year or two of use. Lastly the Bissell formula seems quite pricey for 1litre but saying that not much needed per clean.

Before I would have to hoover then mop which was time consuming and a drag. I actually enjoy using the bissell 3in1 it does exactly as stated! hoovers cleans and dries and floors are gleaming after use .so best 200 spent I would say,
One slight niggle is it cannot get right up to skirting which leaves a half inch mark all the way round your floors that u have to wipe by hand and the underbase itself can drip dirty water so on that basis I rate it a 4* but all in all a great device would definitely recommend to anyone

Golden Review Award: 104 From Our UsersI was initially skeptical about this product due to the price, however I am now convinced! It arrived well-packed, simple to set up, easy to use (didn’t need to look at instructions) and works well. The vaccum element is on par with a Henry Hoover in terms of suction which is fine for hard floors, although I am yet to test out it’s rug capabilities. The swivelling head and lightweight design allows for great maneuverability around obstacles. However, the Bissell CrossWave would definitely benefit from a handheld utensil for the more intricate areas. The trigger mechanism to activate/deactivate the water element allows for a streak-free and relatively dry finish in comparison to the mop and bucket method. Although the Bissell detergent is recommended, it was seemingly not necessary following use with and without, with relatively indistinguishable results. Regular cleaning of the comparatively small waste tank, filter and roller make for an efficient clean and great finish. Time will tell whether the Bissell CrossWave will hold up to the regular and rigerous, daily use.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI am delighted with this machine. I live in a large farm house with lots of floors that never get cleaned because I am too busy. This machine really made it so much easier to wash floors and carpets. The carpets really came up well and were only mildly damp afterwards.

Well built and easy to use. Maybe a little heavy for some people.

I bought this rather than the Karcher because the reviews of the Karcher told me the Karcha roller brushes don’t last long. The brush on this machine seem to be solidly made

Be careful when closing and attaching the water bottle. First time round I did not screw it tight enough and teh water leaked out everywhere.

Golden Review Award: 110 From Our UsersDue to reviews on amazon I decided to replace my steam cleaner with the duel cleaner so I didn’t have to keep changing cleaner for steam mop.
I’ve used the cleaner this morning, well to say it’s good was a understatement. We live on a farm so house proud is a struggle. Mud..cow mud.. leaves and assorted dirt gets carried through into my kitchen from the outbuildings were my husband takes of wellies and outerwear.
I was emptying the dirty water container to the machine when my husband asked if i was conducting some experiment. I always thought i was clean with my steam mop. Well i was ashamed of my flagstone floor. The results where overwhelmingly.
Durability to the machine im not sure yet, but the results of my first cleaning was staggering.

I’ve had my eye on this for a while. I have mainly cushion floor and parquet across a number of rooms and quite frankly most floor cleaning solutions weren’t cutting it.

On arrival it is very straightforward to assemble. Solution and water in one tank and you are away. A full tank saw me through two large rooms, a hallway and the bathroom with some to spare, just.

The tank was quite frankly grim. Murky brown/black water and a surprising amount of small detrious given how frequently I hoover.

This hoovers as well as cleans and I am mega happy with it.

Maintenance is the key to longevity and I try and rinse all the parts after every use, and certainly after I tackle several floors.

It stand son its own but includes a tray for cleaning the roller. The roller is bets washed frequently.

All the parts are easy to get to, access and service.

I do wish, given the price, bissell would include a full size bottle of solution or be more generous.

Its not too noisey and you can tackle some rugs with it. I have found, and perhaps it is just my perception, that floors with a very slight texture clean better. This is likely due to the traction the roller can gain.

Overall very happy with it and so far its been worth every penny.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersWe bought a new build house, the bathroom floors were filthy with builder’s dust, hand scrubbing and mops just spread it around. The Crosswave was brilliant because it sucks up the dirt like a carpet cleaner, result was a clean floor.

Absolutely fantastic for our high shine tile kitchen floor, it’s not the most powerful vacuum but more than good enough for hard floors, add to that the washing and drying and floor looks great with no streaks or water marks. The tiles are slippery when wet but Crosswave leaves them almost dry so it’s safe for the kids in minutes. Impossible to achieve same results with an old fashioned mop and bucket or even the Bissell Spinwave which doesn’t include the vacuum.

Golden Review Award: 81 From Our UsersThis machine is fantastic. We have stone tiles in our garden room, kitchen and utility. They are textured with deep grout lines which have always been a problem to clean. I had only just purchased one when we had a flash flood in our garden room where we had left the veluxes wide open. The machine not only sucked up all the water but hoovered up all the dog hair, dead flies etc, cleaned everything and left it very nearly dry. Brilliant, would totally recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersThis hoover/washer is a real find…. pricey… maybe… but you get what you pay for…. suction is awesome… I could see the dog hairs being pulled out of the corners!! It even took off the emulsion paint off my laminate that I had split the night before and hadn’t noticed… a product that truly lives up to its claims!!

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersAs this is an expensive purchase for the equivalent of a mop and bucket I decided to write a review which I hope will help others. I have wood, laminate and tiled floors. I have 3 poodles (non shedding) and 3 cats. However despite the Dogs being non shedding there is a lot of very small bits of hair from grooming along with bits of grass, leaves etc dragged in from the garden along with cat litter.

Previously I would vacuum the floor then use either a steam mop or a vileda spin mop. Despite the prior vacuuming there were always very small bits of hair that would gather in a line and required using dry kitchen roll to remove, the kitchen roll always looked dirty when wiped over the cleaned floor. I have a bad back and constant bending was painful.

After one particularly hard clean up job where the handle of the steam mop detached from the head I decided to try an all in one solution. I couldn’t find any direct comparisons between the Krcher or the Bissell and reading the reviews there were good and bad for both. I decided on the Bissell because I have a Bissell carpet cleaner that I love.

First of all there is virtually no assembly required, and I was able to use it within a few minutes. So I first of all cleaned my kitchen and there were the usual stains plus some blood. I like the Bissell 2 tank system where the dirty water is collected and it is constantly clean water that is being used on the floor. At the end I was disgusted at how dirty the water was – I’m far too embarrassed to post pictures. But the main point was the amount of hair that was collected. This volume was never collected by my vacuum leaving the small residue on the floor that needed a manual wipe and a quantity of kitchen roll.

It is easy to use and not too heavy, it uses far less water than either the steam mop or my bucket. The squeegee on the machine leaves the floors drier than my other methods and I loved the clean, streak free finish I achieved,

The vacuum power was demonstrated when I accidentally picked up an Allen key, it was easily removed from the roller without causing damage.
It has a reasonable length of cord, longer than my steam mop.

If my opinion changes once I have used the mop for some time I will revise this review.

    Pros

    Quicker than other methods
Picked up more small particles, I.e hair
    Always used clean water
    Powerful vacuum
Leaves floors drier than other methods

    Cons
Price it is an expensive item
    It can’t clean in corners.
It is a corded machine therefore requires to be plugged in and plugs changed throughout the process. I really don’t believe that battery technology is at a standard to allow a cordless model.

Golden Review Award: 96 From Our UsersIt took a while for Amazon to get them back in stock, but I am so glad that I waited. I did a lot of research on finding a hard floor cleaner, and this one seemed to be the most recommended. I have not been disappointed!

It is really simple to use, and easy to clean afterwards. More importantly, it also does a fantastic job. We have a quite clean house (no pets, and I am a little OCD so keep things very clean), and I am always stunned at the colour of the waste water after my weekly clean with the Bissell.

I had a look at the Krcher after buying this, as the were demonstrating it in Costco, which reaffirmed that I had made the right choice.

Golden Review Award: 96 From Our UsersThis has made my life so much easier! With 8 dogs cleaning the tiled floors in the house was becoming a bit of a nightmare as conventional mops just didn’t get the floors properly clean and we were reduced to scrubbing with a brush instead which took forever. I do tend to hoover first if there is a lot of fur around as I find that the dirty water resevoir doesn’t fill up so quickly but the machine picks up too absolutely fine if I can’t be bothered! Floors dry really quickly and the Bissell cleaning fluid shifts the dirt and has a pleasant but not overpowering scent. The only downside is that it really is quite noisey but having tried so many other ways to clean floor I’ll put up with it.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersWhat a fantastic product. We have polished concrete & wooden floors & 2 dogs so keeping everything clean was hard work for my Wife & I. Constant sweeping, vacuuming & mopping was a real chore & didn’t seem to get the floors as clean as we’d like. We were looking for an effective solution that would achieve what we wanted quickly & effectively. Well we certainly found it with the Bissell Croswave which achieves all that & more.
My Wife “Bissells” every day now, she actually enjoys the cleaning & I can’t get a look in. It’s that good she’s recommended it to friends & family, in fact everyone who’ll listen! If you have hard or wooden floors then this is a must buy. You will not be disappointed.

Golden Review Award: 27 From Our UsersI used to have a Vax Floormate, but it gave up the ghost after a year. I had kept my eyes open for something similar and then a Youtube video introduced me to this wonderful machine. I am so pleased I bought it. In comparison to the Vax Floormate, this machine looks so much more cosmetically appealing, but more than that, it is so light and easy to use. Once the machine is running, the spinning brushhead helps pull it along the floor and it just makes such easy work of cleaning the floors.

I was sceptical about it’s hoovering capabilities but alas there is no worry to be had, as this machine sucks up everything on the floor. In a home with children (girls hair) and dogs, this machine literally sucks up the hair and it doesn’t clog the brush head, unlike with my Dyson cordless. It uses Bissell’s own detergent, which smells lovely but isn’t overpowering.

You fill the detachable pull out container with warm water and the detergent, turn the machine on with either the ‘hard floor’ or ‘rug’ button and away you go. The difference between these two buttons is it puts down more water on the rug setting than it does with the hard floor setting. I use the rug setting on my slate kitchen tiles as it works better that way with more water. The good thing about this machine, with the hard floor setting, is it seems to hardly use much water unlike the Vax Floormate, which literally soaked the floor.

I like the handy tray it comes with, which you stand it in. This is also where you clean the machine after each use by pouring clean water into the tray and turning the machine on so the roller brush cleans itself. You can easily detach the front (see photos) to get the roller brush out to stand it out the machine to dry and clean inside the head of the machine – not that it really gets very dirty!

This floor cleaner seems to have mixed reviews but I am SO pleased I bought it. The sheer ease, light weight and how it is so easy to steer makes this a dream when washing and hoovering your floors. I was forever vacuuming, then hoovering, only to find you had missed some dirt with the hoover and the mop wouldn’t pick it up. This machine solves all this as it’s constantly hoovering as it’s washing your floors.

I intend to buy another roller as a spare, but from watching Youtube videos, this machine in America comes with an additional stiff brush roller. I plan on purchasing one of these too, but you have to buy those on a different ‘bidding’ site as Amazon don’t stock them.

As for the roller brush not being the full length of the head of the machine head, I don’t think it really matters as it really only leaves an inch and if you go in the direction of the wall as opposed to going along the wall, it gets right up close. So glad I bought this machine and the icing on the cake is when you see all the dirty water!

5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT MACHINE!

Golden Review Award: 65 From Our UsersThis is a great piece of kit. After I got floorboard type tiles I struggled to clean into their groves and keep them streak free. The Crosswave is brilliant, it cleans, dries quickly and it copes with fur as well as muddy paw prints! On that topic the fur will gather in the waste water collection tank and cause it to make a terrible choking sound after about 35/40 sq metres (my dog sheds a lot) don’t panic, just empty the tank. The machine works better (no streaks) if the cord is behind it so, while the cord is fairly long, I use an extension cord to do my hall from the kitchen socket.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our Usersgreat product…saves so much time and cleans well in comparison to my steam mop that just shifts dirt around on the pad…..would advise spare roller and filter so can wash and dry them etc….price was a put off …..but is well worth it…it stores well and is no bigger than normal upright hoover.I have all tiled floors with rugs and it works well on all of it. pretty light as well so no heavy lifting so my elderly mum also can use it.

Golden Review Award: 371 From Our UsersWe have recently moved into an old property with a tiled floor and backing into fields. With 2 dogs regular mopping did not seem to be effective.
After a bit of research we ordered the Bissell hard floor cleaner. As you can see from the first photo the floor appears to be reasonably clean. (Part of a 20m2 tiled floor) After 1 pass using the rug setting the dirt container has collected enough dirt for an archaeological survey.

Bissell seems to be the Business
