The Bissell is the best for my tiled floors. Why didn’t I try one earlier.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWhen I tried to vacuum and wash at the same time, which is what this is supposed to do, the dog hairs got clogged in the pipe and it was difficult to get them out out. Brilliant as ahard floor/carpet washer though.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersNormally I wait for the email from Amazon before I post a review but I went through the review process myself this time!

This product is fantastic. We have a Black Labrador and cream ceramic floor tiles. I used to dread cleaning the floor, first hoovering then steam cleaning. This does both in less than half the time. A number of reviews I’ve seen mention the problem with cleaning the unit. There isn’t a problem! It’s so quick and easy and as the cleaner comes with a spare roller brush the other can be left to dry for next time. It also comes with a litre of cleaning fluid but I also ordered an extra one and an extra brush – just in case this product is ever discontinued!
Comments have also been made about the inability to get right up to the skirting boards. Like one review said if you go up to the wall with the front of the cleaner there is no problem. My steam cleaner left more of a “border” than this product.
Like I say don’t hesitate this really has changed my cleaning life! (ps the cleaner is a little heavier than you’d expect but that also seems to confirm how robust it is)

This does work as a floor mop and as a vaccum cleaner.

It is heavy, noisy and can’t get to the edges of the floor.

If used following the instructions and you mop quite slowly then it does work well. It can’t get close to the edges of a floor so you have to find a way to do those separately. You also need to ensure you follow ALL of the cleaning instructions- which takes a while.

Summary: it works, it is heavy and noisy, you need to go slowly and thoroughly clean it all afterwards.

    Still better than a Karcher.

Very easy to use. I like that you don’t have to sweep up/vacuum before using as with a mop/steamer. I couldn’t believe the colour of the dirty water. It’s reasonably lightweight and has a lengthy lead. The suction seems to be good. It did clog up with fluff when I used it on my high pile rug. A little on the expensive side but all in all, I’m very pleased with this purchase.

Fairly new machine for me, I have only used it a couple of times but so far I love it. Being able to hoover and mop at the same time is a game changer for me. The filth that has been removed from my floors is unbelievable. Having two kids and a dog the dirt can build up quickly but it is just as quickly gone with this machine. The self clean programme is good and the remainder is just rinsed away. Love i

I bought this hoover as I have a dog that sheds some hair. The hoover picks up very well. Can be used on hard and carpeted surfaces and also to wash the floor. I got 30 off original price so that was a bonus. Very pleased with my purchase.

White porcelain tiles and a very muddy, hairy spaniel and the cross wave takes it all in its stride. I did some research before purchasing. The bissell seemed to have better suction than the other choices. Their pet pro option comes with a different brush & a filter, other than that it is the same machine. As we pour the dirty water down the toilet we didn’t need to the filter and you can buy the brush online for cheaper. I have no issues with this brush. Cleans the floor with no issues. Takes my mopping time from about 2 hours to 45 mins for the entire ground floor of our house. You do have to go round the edges with a wipe after as it doesn’t have a really tight to edge suction.

Highly highly highly recommend. Would be lost without it now!

    The Best Buy. Great investment.

So, I dont have a massive amount of hard floor, kitchen, 2.5 bathrooms, conservatory and a bar. But i do have 2 very muddy spaniels and an equally muddy football mad partner so i wanted something to clean.
This machine does all that. its not as quick as getting out the vac and mop bucket but its so much easier and much more fun. the kitchen floor is the cleanest its ever been, Even my cleaner was impressed. its a little expensive for what ill use it for but overall im incredibly pleased with it and would recommend it.

Can’t believe there are any negative reviews on this. In my home, which has no carpets, this has been a godsend and I wish I’d purchased before. Hoovers and mops at the same time. What’s not to like. I used of flagstones and wooden flooring, the water is always dirty when cleaned and I even tried it’s effectiveness of a freshly mopped floor and it still got up more ingrained dirt. I don’t live in a dirty home so am always amazed at just how good this cleaner is and it saves half the time as does both chores at the same time. If Bissell are listening and read reviews I would love a model with a detachable hose for corners and to reach cobwebs.

We researched to find a floor cleaner that would be light enough for me to lift easily and also one that had a clean/dirty tank – this machine fitted the bill. I think you would need to vacuum say one in three times – in order to do skirting boards etc – but for a quick whip around it picks up crumbs and dog hairs and over rugs is very effective in picking up (more) dog hairs. I would recommend it – it is light enough for me to carry upstairs where we have wooden floors – and it is extremely easy to clean. Go for it!

I have done a lot of research into hard floor cleaners. I have watched a whole range of YouTube videos and investigated product reviews. I finally chose the Bissell cross wave pet pro and I haven’t been disappointed. It’s absolutely brilliant !
We have a large house with the majority of the downstairs covered in stone floor with some wooden floors. We have two dogs. We consider that we are careful house owners and we have a built-in warm water dog wash in the garden, we wash the dogs paws every time we take them for a walk and before we allow them in the house.
As I have been getting older I have struggled with keeping all the floors clean it’s a big job, stone floors take a lot of heavy hoovering and mopping.
Our experience with the Bissell has been brilliant, we have been astonished at the amount of dirt that has come off our floors and rugs.
We have found it easy to use following the pictorial instructions and I have viewed YouTube videos, It’s lightweight and easy to manoeuvre on our stone floors. I recommend it to anyone who has large areas of hard floor within their homes and particularly those with dogs and children it’s really cut down the cleaning time in our home.
It’s also worth mentioning that I am a Which member. They tested the Bissell cross wave as a carpet cleaner and gave it a low score. I will be letting them know that they have made a mistake as it is a hard floor cleaner first and a rug cleaners second.

Good suction, easily manoeuvred. Cleans most of floor beautifully, I have 2 dogs and it deals well with muddy paws etc. Easy to clean the machine, goes together easily too. Not so good for edges though. Will leave a margin around furniture and skirting boards. Have to move furniture every time and go round edges with another vacuum and a cloth. Would recommend having a spare brush and filter if you use your machine regularly to allow for washing and drying. Overall I like this machine though

Great bit if kit, i have mostly hard floors so this is a godsend and worked super well on a small rug (i was embarrassed by how much dog hair and dirt came out of the rug). Easy to use and clean. Doesn’t go right to the edge but then I haven’t found a hoover that does yet.

My karcher floor cleaner broke, I tried normal spray mops but no good with a dog, so bought this beauty!! Keeps the floor lovely and clean, vacuums much better than the karcher, though does leave it a bit wetter and surprisingly good at cleaning, even my really thick pile rug!! Expensive but great!! Just wish it had an attachment for cleaning the stairs and the sofa-then it would be perfect!!

Got this as trying to hover then mop after exhausted me. I love this. Hovers well and really cleans the floors well. Unfortunately I also use a hand held for the sofa. I have 4 dogs and 3 cats. This hover manages my living room and kitchen really well. Not heavy but not light. Easiest cleaner I’ve used and I have a dyson pet large and hand held. With a vax cleaner. This does the job well

This machine is a life saver. I have fibromyalgia which makes hoovering and mopping incredibly difficult to do as the pain is so bad. The bissell has made my life so much better. I can keep my floors clean without too much effort. Highly recommended.

After reading poor reviews, especially the one that said it’s very noisy I was sceptical but bought one regardless. Can i just say its not noisey at all. I have two bullmastfis so you can imagine what my floor looks like. I’m over the moon, it’s just perfect. My floors have never looked so clean. I can’t recommend this enough. You won’t regret it.

    Game change

  23. Anonymous says:

Easy to manage not bulky but still a bit heavy to take it upstairs.

Enjoy vacuum and mopping in one go but the head can’t get deep underneath of cabinets, sofa, even bed due to the thickness of the machine body which is not in a pole size. You need a Dyson handheld machine for daily causal use.

Most annoying me is I need to spend 15-20mins every time to remove all long hair twined on the two ends and middle of the brush roll, another 10-15mins to wash the filters and containers

Original Bliss cleaner solution is only enough for cleaning living room. you just feel the floor is wet but was not wiped and cleaned. Must buy extra cleaner solution (other brand) together with your machine to enjoy the first trial. Need to refill once for covering an area of 3 bed house including kitchen, bathroom and utility room

A very loud sound will come out when the bottom container is full when you turn your handle either left and right side. It sounds scary and makes you feel there is something wrong with the machine.

    All in all, happy purchase.

I bought this cleaner following a recommendation from a friend. I have hard flooring in the whole of my downstairs. I was that person who used to Hoover the floor and mop with a mop and bucket, but the floor never felt totally clean. However the Bissell CrossWave Petpro does everything in one go, and my floor is definitely clean. Easy to use and just the best addition to my house.

Very easy to use and is amazing how easily it cleans the kitchen floor of muddy paw prints which would normally take a lot of scrubbing
Tried it on rugs & it’s unbelievable the amount of dirt & hair etc that it’s picked up
Doesn’t leave the floor wet either like mopping does
Easy to clean and maintain too

I love this. I just had new flooring put in and was worried about a steam mop. As I have rugs I was tired of vacuuming first and then bringing out the mop – labour intensive. This does everything, the suction is really good and my floors look great.
    Pros:
    No need to pre vacuum
Easy to clean out (system comes apart)
    Great suction and power
    Cons:
Does not quite get to the edges of the floor
Can be difficult to move around
cable is frustrating and has been sucked up a few times

Zoflora leaves your house smelling amazing all day too!! Can’t recommend this machine enough!!

I’m a 5′ tall, small build 50’s woman & I find this heavy. If you never cleaned your carpets before you’ll be amazed & disgusted. Ignore what they say about not needing to vacuum 1st unless you’re the only inhabitant & you live there naked. Vacuum or else you’ll end up with lots of fluff mixed in with sludge in your receiver receptacle. Ive cleaned my carpet twice in 3 days & its just starting to improve but not there yet.
Lots of cleaning of it to do after too.I still think its better than Vax though, seems more powerful.

Amazing!! I’ve got a horrible textured lino in my kitchen which just seems to absorb the dirt. I’ve tried mops, bleach, steam mops and scrubbing on my hands and knees. Nothing worked. Until now! This machine is the answer to all my prayers. Our floors are subject to very heavy traffic from a mobility scooter. To keep our LVT flooring clean was proving an impossible task and really frustrating until I took a chance and purchased the bissell crosswave. From the first use you could see the floors were cleaner than they had been in months, and the best thing is no hoovering before hand. Half the work and twice the job!! Even used it on the landing carpet with superb results. Would recommend to anyone, well worth purchasing.

Really pleased with this, bought it to replace my vax glide which had broken. What I prefer about this in comparison is that because it is plug in I don’t have to worry about whether the last person to use it had put the battery on to charge. It also means I can do the whole of my downstairs and not just the one room at a time. Other than that it works pretty much in the same way as the glide except that this will also do area rugs. It makes my life much easier not having to vacuum and then mop. Very pleased with it so far!

I have hard floors and short pile carpet and it washes both , the dirt that comes out is stunning, water is black and I hoover and mop every day !!

The CrossWave Pet Pro is a total game changer! I was sceptical as it’s a lot to pay for a glorified mop but damnit is so worth it! We’ve got about 70m square of porcelain tiles through high traffic areas. 2 kids, a dog and a husband! I was fed up of my shark not really cleaning and more moving the muck around. But this, oh my, the muck that comes up is unbelievable. The floors look clean and the fluid has a lovely scent. It’s so easy to use and with the flick if a button I can clean the door mats. Needless to say I’d never go back to any other form of mop!!

I have a large tiled kitchen floor and a golden retriever who sheds fur everywhere. This product collects all of the fur and other bits on the floor, and cleans at the same time. The instructions are good but I prefer a visual, so I watched the videos on their website on how to use it and clean it. I’ve also used it on the carpet, when we moved into this house there was a large stain by the front door and this product has removed that which I’m so pleased about. The only improvement that could be made is that when you’ve finished you need to rinse the components and leave to dry, it would be good to have a spare set of these for if you want to use the product again quickly after but it’s not a deal breaker at all! The smell of the liquid cleaner is fresh and has lasted me a few months now. I’m so pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone.

I am a childminder so it is incredibly important for my hard floors to be clean. Even though we remove our shoes at the door, endless mopping didn’t quite cut it. Found this beauty on prime day and threw caution to the wind and I couldn’t be happier. No longer a bore chore, now an obsession, not only does it wash, dry, it hoovers too! Pure brilliance. I did the floor wipe test, rubbed a patch and only a faint mark on the cloth. The only terrifing thing is the gunk that came out the waste tank after! If you have hard floors you NEED this Bissell. 100%

I wish I had bought this 2 years ago it’s wonderful does a really good job far superior to the 3 karcher s I have had in this time, don’t know why I went ahead and purchased the second karcher after the first one broke and they replaced after a dispute, then I got another so 3 in 2 years tells the story. Any marks on the floor come of a doddle with the Bissell where as a karcher you may go over it 3 times and that’s just a tea or coffee spill easier to get a cloth actually
The only negative is it doesn’t go to the edge it’s about a inch away but I do the edges with a cloth and my skirting boards at the same time so that’s no problem to me, other wise fabulous little machine.

Choose between pet pro and this. Because of the weight of pet pro 8.8kg itself. I have pick this lighter weight in 5.5kg and I believe I made the right choice.
I used on both carpet and hard floor. Every time I got disgusting dirty water with hair and dust in the tank. Means it does a good job on picking up tiny dirts on the floor/carpet. Working result overall is good
It’s a noisy item when it’s working. Avoid to operate at night or baby’s nap time.

    Worth to money

Wow!!! I’ve used it 3 times now and so wish I’d found this amazing machine 4 years ago when we bought our new house and refurbished with a lot of hard floors. I did dither about buying it due to the cost but I’m so glad I finally bit the bullet. I’ve always hated cleaning the floors, had a steam mop but always preferred getting on my hands and knees and using a cloth and water with a cleaner, it was soo time consuming which resulted in the floors not being cleaned as often as I liked. I bought a steam mop a year ago and that just didn’t seem to cut the mustard. I have a mixture of flooring types, largest area being karndean flooring into a dining room with tiles and then a conservatory with laminate and it cleans all of the different textures wonderfully – even the grout in the tiles. I would say, if your floors aren’t level then you may not get the clean you want.
It takes about 5 minutes to empty and clean up the machine but that is all, and I believe if the machine is well looked after it will last years. We have a dog and a cat who both moult and the machine can handle it. I researched and researched and this came up with best with reviews, slightly more expensive than the other leading brand.

Purchased from warehouse section as a ‘acceptable’ grade item. Very happy to find it looks like brand new imo. Happy with it on first go. I think this will be me regular go to for clean ups as in a house of 5 plus a dog floor cleaning is something that needs to be done mire regularly.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis cleaner is so nearly perfect for our needs. As the advertising says, it has both clean and dirty water tanks and also vacuums up bits on the floor, so no need to vacuum before cleaning, unless you have a large amount of litter on the floor.
We’ve been amazed at the amount of dirty water it collects and the amount of dog hair contained therein from our two Labradoodles, who DO shed (that’s the trouble with steam cleaners, as far as i’m concerned, they put water on the floor and leave it there so the dirt doesn’t really get picked up).
It’s also great not to have to kneel on the floor to give it a good scrub by hand (which is what i’d previously resorted to)
Downsides: As previous reviews state, it doesn’t clean right up to the cupboard plinths, so you really need to wipe the last inch/couple of inches with a cloth. Also, we have tiles that aren’t smooth, sort of a stone effect, which tend to collect dirt in little corners. Whilst the cleaner does a good job of keeping them clean it doesn’t get into all the little spaces, so i had to scrub every inch of floor before starting to use the cleaner for the first time. Once I’d done that, it’s doing a pretty good job of stopping any more pockets of dirt forming

Excellent bit of kit. Cleaning the various bits is not obvious but once you have mastered the knack it works well. So much horrid deep stuff is removed from rugs. Be prepared to take the container outside and clean.

Used it for the first time yesterday and it’s brilliant. Why oh why did I ponder for so long before buying?
I’m slightly horrified at the muck it bought up, the colour of the water was filthy! It left the laminate dry and with a very slight sheen.
    Very pleased.

Brilliant, had a Karcher steam mop and wanted to upgrade, bought a Karcher FC5 but that broke on 2nd use. This is brilliant. Although it does pick up dirt/pet hair whilst washing I tend to go round with the vac first. Dries really quickly and you are in control of the amount of water you want on your floors. Very easy to use. Highly recommend

Bought this to replace our steam mop, which there was nothing particularly wrong with. However I wanted something that sucked off the floor as a majority of the house is timber and tiled floors.I looked at a competitors version first, but the reviews made remarks to how small the elements that hold the water, clear or dirty are. This one stood out. Had it 4 weeks, and I must say, superb! Great suction. Brilliant on hard floors. Can do rugs and carpets as well. I have used on our rug and it was very good. I own a rug doctor as well, and the rug doctor is much better for that type work in my opinion. For hard floors tho. This is brilliant. I would highly recommend.

Excellent product indeed! I clean, steam mop etc every day as I have a resident angora cat, and he is messy with biscuits fur and cat litter (currently training him to shake his fluffy paws more vigorously!) I have wooden floors, with occasional rugs and one posh vinyl floor. This wonderful gadget is light easily manoeuvred and does a reasonably large area between emptying and re-filling. The sheer grunge and dirt and fur and filth that it pulled of the wood, and out of the rugs was astonishing! For an everyday domestic cleaner this is truly awesome. The fluid leaves a pleasant clean fragrance which is not at all overwhelming, just feint scent. I have a commercial cleaner for fitted carpets and upholstery which also dry cleans, it’s a big one! and this small cleaner is the perfect daily appliance between biannual deep cleans. Highly recommend it.

This is a fantastic dual purpose cleaner. I have 2 large dogs and although I still use my vacuum for getting most of the dog hair, this cleaner is great for keeping the kitchen floor clean and freshening up my rug. It is just a shame that my dog ate the clear brush cover within a week of my purchase and I am still waiting for a spare to arrive!

Wow wow wow !! How did I live without this machine!? With three animals two children and adding my husband and I to the mix, it feels like I’m constantly hoovering and then mopping the kitchen floor! This Vop changes everything! A quick wizz round and it hoovers and mops at the same time! Collecting all the dirt and muck in its own container which is easy to empty and clea

Fair dues this is everything I hoped it would be and more. To be honest I don’t normally take the time to write reviews but felt I should with this as it has changed cleaning the floors into a very pleasant task.
We have parquet flooring in the hall and stone tiles in the kitchen that have slightly deep grout lines in areas. This has always caused water and debris to collect with normal mopping and the floors never felt clean.
Since we’ve had this the floors are spotless and it only takes 10 minutes to do the whole down stairs including rugs ( vacuum, mop and dry).
The vacuum part is as good as most normal vacuum’s then you just press the button to use the cleaning solution. I would recommend taking the time to clean out the unit after each use as the amount of debris that collects in phenomenal!! It’s an easy process but I would just say to be delicate as the plastic top cover does look like it could break fairly easily if to you were to heavy handed with it. We went with the corded version as in my experience of battery vacuum etc.. the batteries lose efficiency over time
    Hope this helps

I read lots of mixed reviews and videos before buying this product. I have White tiled floors, four dogs, two kids and a husband that is in and out the garden constantly! I worried like in some reviews that there would be dirty water residue and streaks left behind. Although this is not the most expensive machine on the market it is still a lot to pay if it isn’t going to work. This arrived today and I am really pleased with it. Did exactly as it says on the box…vacuums and mops/cleans at the same time. Job done in half the time. I found it quick and easy to use. Odd spot of dirty water which was easily solved by going over it again without the water trigger pulled. Left the floors very clean and almost dry in minutes. If I had to pick fault with the machine I would say it is a bit noisy and the cleaning brush does not go right to the edges (brushes on other brands were the same) but I didn’t find either of these a problem and would definitely recommend. The machine needs to be cleaned when you are finished but again no major job, just a quick rinse of the the tanks and brush.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI cannot rave about this enough! Before I bought it I read a review that said “I love this more than I love my husband” I thought wow that’s a big statement! It swung the purchase for me and it’s absolutely a game change! I have 9 dogs and 3 kids – one being a 15 month old who launches food and drink onto the floor every single day! A while cup of water – no problem, yoghurt, spaghetti, smushed fruit – no problem! I just whizz over it with the crosswave and it’s clean! Big muddy dog prints, mixed with hair – no problem! I literally adore this machine!! One tank of water/solution does a big area and there’s always some left! It leaves the floor clean and shiny and even cleans the grout which sits lower due to bevel edged tiles. I’ve tried expensive steam mops, spray mops, robot hoovers that do hoovering and mopping and none were right! This machine does the job and some! Don’t hesitate!

Read a testing review about this machine which gave it a very favourable rating. Purchased one and totally agree with the review. It is a super cleaner and very easy to use. Mine has to work in a very large area and does a fantastic job. Too big a job for a mop and bucket and this way the dirty water is not going back onto the floor. Highly recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBackground, I have 3 cats and one who cannot wipe his feet on 10 feet of superabsorbent fleece rug! I have researched several floor washers online and this seems the best for the type of floors and degree of cat fur I have. I hate hovering then having to wash a floor and finding cat fluff all over the mop. This was the lightest unit I could find, important if you are using one of these for more than 20 minutes. This one also comes with a wireless option at more cost. I was not sure if the battery would last for my use. As it took 1 hour to clean my floors, and the battery lasts 40 minutes, so the wire cheaper option was better for me. Do not buy one of these if you are one of those people that can’t cope with washing all the parts of the food blender or de-lint the tumble dryer. It is messy, best to have kitchen roll on the side to collect the fluff. This unit will hoover and wash at the same time, very time saving. If the floor has dried stains it will take several or 10’s of passes. I would say this it’s better to use this often and daily rather for big spills. This unit will hoover up big spills, but remember what goes in you must take out. Might be better to use kitchen towels than resort to this unit. Noise is not too bad either. Hubby has tinnitus and the drone does get to him, but I find it fine. Easy to use the cleaning tray too.
In all good unit does what I need it to do.

Received this today and used for the first time, easy to assemble, I must admit this has to be one of the best floor cleaners that I have ever used, I clean my floors on a regular basis and I was shocked at how much dirt this machine removed from my floors, can’t recommend this machine enough, 5 stars all day long, if your thinking of buying one, but have doubts, don’t, just buy one and it will be the best money you have ever spent.

Very pleased with this floor and carpet cleaner. It was easy to assemble, is simple to use and straightforward to clean. My floors and carpets look so much cleaner, the whole house is fresher and I no longer need to shout at my family when they forget to wipe the dog’s paws when he races in from playing ball in the garden. The filth and hairs that first accumulated in the waste water, made me wince with shame. There is great satisfaction in pouring them down the toilet and actually seeing how much cleaning this smashing Bissell machine has done with so little effort on my part. It come with a tidy stand and takes up a great deal less space than the bewilderingly complex VAX machine I bought two years earlier to do the same job, and have never used because I couldn’t fathom the instructions and couldn’t manoeuvre due to its weight and bulk. The VAX will shortly be sold on as an ‘unwanted gift’. I just hope that the buyer never reads this review!

Only tried this twice but so far, so good. Hoovers right up against cupboard, cleans really well and dries well too. You have to hover over dried food stains a little longer but it lifts these off. We have ceramic floor tiles with under floor heating which can often leave a smear or streak when cleaning. There’s none of these visible with this machine as it doesn’t over-soak the floor & isn’t left to dry itself. Not the cheapest floor cleaner on the market but you have to factor in that this one also cleans rugs too so we’ll worth the money. Delighted so far so let’s hope this lasts.

I bought this cleaner mainly for hard floors (I have 3 dogs who sometimes have very wet and muddy paws) and it works very well on both tiled and wooden flooring. It is simple to set up, use and quick and easy to empty and clean after use. I have only used the Bissell cleaning solution which came with the cleaner, this has a pleasant smell and is ok to use on the types of flooring I have. The machine also dries the floor well if you pass over each section a couple of times. I have used the machine on a couple of rugs, it cleaned the surface well and left the rugs only slightly damp. Overall this machine works well and does exactly what I need it to do.

Great machine for cleaning my floors. I have solid oak and tiles. It washes, vacuums and drys the floors in no time. It is not a steam cleaner as it doesn’t use steam, but I had a Polti steam cleaner which had a vacuum and was really cumbersome and expensive and only lasted about 6 years. This is a great alternative. I was looking for something which washed and vacuumed the water up and this is perfect. You add the solution with warm water to one container and wash the floor. The dirt, fluff, hair etc all gets sucked into a separate container which can be emptied. It is fantastic for spills. You don’t have to vacuum beforehand and is really quick. My porcelain bathroom tiles are squeaky clean. The floors will be slightly damp but will dry in a few minutes, quicker than if you used a conventional mop. I wouldn’t be without this now. It’s easy to clean and has a storage base to store the rollers upright to dry. Would thoroughly recommend. I won’t be going back to conventional mopping! You can also clean carpet. I have used it on the one carpet in the house, my bedroom with great results.

Does a better job than a mop and bucket and dry with minutes not to mention uses very little water. The suction and cleaning shows, the mirky water after is proof enough.

It’s really easy to use with powerful suction so it’s not leaving the floors wet -they dry a lot quicker than conventional mopping so with the dogs running around they can’t walk foot prints through the wet floor. It’s fairly easy to clean although it is more than just emptying a mop bucket. Overall it’s a really good product and worth the money.

For the man who likea a clean floor and can never understand how the family makes so much mess. Smashes cleaning our large tiled kitchen/dining living space in minutes. Picks up and the food flung from the high chair. Tossed milk cups. Kids who can’t eat over a plate. Stones from the driveway off shoes. Mud of the buggy wheels and trainers. Toilet accident? This is the best hard surface floor cleaner I have used. It will dry vacuum clouds of pet hairs and wash the floor at the same time. It doesn’t wash right to the very edge but vacuums hard surfaces to the edge. Excellent with rugs covered in hairs- better than my dyson. Some have complained you have emptying the bucket halfway through but this is using water/ cleaning solution constantly on a very dirt floor. The dirt it picks up is impressive!
Not sure how long the filter lasts or how much it costs. Only their cleaning solution is only recommended which I have no idea where I could just go to a shop and buy it.

This is amazing – I’d almost go as far as to say that it has changed my life. I’m disabled and can no longer get down to clean the floor.
This makes cleaning hard floors, rugs and small areas of carpet virtually effortless. It’s easy to fill and empty and has a little filter to remove any thing that isn’t liquid.
Once you’ve thrown those bits away, all you need to do is empty the dirty water (and it really can be dirty!), rinse the parts and fit that unit back onto the machine. There is a tray that the machine fits onto and your spare brush sits on there too.
I don’t think it would completely replace a dry vacuum cleaner, but it is a real asset in helping to have clean floors.

Makes cleaning my concrete floor a pleasure! Takes the hard work out of a difficult job.
We live on a farm, have 4 cats and two dogs plus a large open plan living kitchen diner – a cleaning nightmare! Washing the floor with a mop an absolute no go – just moves the dirt around and streaks horribly! I agonised over buying a floor cleaner for ages – such mixed reviews – but I bit the bullet and am glad I did. This cleaner actually lifts the dirt and cleans, and my floor actually shines when it’s done. Plus the special ‘pet’ liquid doesn’t leave that temporary shine that immediately goes cloudy and shows every footprint! My floor is clean, naturally shiny as polished concrete should be and seems to stay clean for longer. Oh and it smells lovely! I Don’t know how I managed so long without it.

Note of caution – it is not a floor polisher, and it does leave a 2 inch gap around edges which may bother some. However, it does clean properly with minimal streaking and a natural shine. It’s polished enough for me and I can live with the edges that don’t get dirty anyway. Also, while it does vacuum as well, I always properly vacuum first with my trusty Henry, otherwise I’d be dealing with ‘orrible mess (pet hair) when emptying.
On that note, it’s easy to clean and store.

Definitely my favourite purchase this year (and I hate cleaning lol )

    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersEdited 2 weeks after purchase: I originally saw an advert for the Vax power one and as I love a cleaning gadget I started looking into it and then came across the Bissell Crosswave. I opted for the bissell for 3 reasons – firstly I already have a Bissell carpet cleaner and love it, secondly the Bissell has the option to change from hard floors to rugs and thirdly it plugs in rather than being rechargeable and as I have a fairly big house with hard floors throughout downstairs I didn’t want to have to keep recharging to complete my cleaning.
The Crosswave looks good and is very easy to put together and then disassemble for cleaning. It cleans brilliantly! I have 4 kids and 2 dogs and like to think I am pretty clean. My floors get vacuumed at least 5 times a week and washed 2-3 times a week alternating between mop and bucket with hospital strength anti bac floor cleaner and the Shark steam mop with steamer detergent added to the tank. I have both tile and wooden floors and I don’t think they ever look dirty. This showed me otherwise!!
I used it for the first time having washed the floor the previous day with my steam mop. The water was mud brown!! I have used it again the following day and the picture attached is the water from today’s clean. I am shocked at how dirty it is. My floor definitely feels cleaner.
The clean water tank is a good size and I can go over my kitchen floor twice on one tank. The cord is a good length.
On the negative, this is quite heavy to use and so wouldn’t suit anyone who struggles with grip or heavy vacuum cleaners. It is also very noisy. You wouldn’t want to use it if you had kids in bed sleeping!
    Overall though I love this!
Edit: 3rd picture shows the difference in the floor after 2 weeks of use, used 3 times a week. It’s the bit round the edges the cleaner can’t get to! Yuck!! Been on hands and knees today steaming and scrubbing to get the edges clea

Does what it states on the tin. Cleans our hard tile floors effortlessly and small areas of carpet and rugs. It’s not a vacuum cleaner though, it’s not designed for that use. The only negative aspect of its use is that if one lowers the handle too far (to get under furniture) the float in the dirty water reservoir shuts of the suction. It does this to prevent dirty water from being sucked into contact with the filter.

Love this. Works as a hoover whilst lightly cleaning carpets/ floors. Great if you have pets.

Only downside is that there is not an attachment for stairs or soft furnishings.

I have light stone floors which get super dirty with kids muddy feet etc …. keeping the floor clean regularly has been a horrible chore until I found this product ….it does the job well, sucking up the wet to ensure it doesn’t smear after it’s cleaned the area. I purchased the corded one as the cordless runs out too quickly in my opinion (especially if you have a larger area to clean) …. the cord length is long so it’s not a problem.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMy life is transformed (sad i know). My lab moults all the time, he loves chewing sticks, cardboard, shoes, my kids drop stuff on the floor, my daughters have long hair….
I used to have a Roomba (need to buy a new battery) and then i’d mop after… Roomba took ages and would tangle in stuff and mop cleaned much better than a steam mop which just spread the dirt.
However, this is brilliant, it hoovers, washes and it’s so quick (and loud).. doesn’t totally dry but that doesn’t take long and if u use warm tap water it is even quicker. The amount of hair and dirt that it picks up is truly gross and I use it weekly. It doesn’t go right to the edges but have found if u use it face on it gets very near – i don’t care though… this has saved me so much time and effort and i couldn’t be happier – a brilliant buy!

I am dead impressed with this floor cleaner. It’s light enough that I can easily carry it upstairs; it maneuvers very deftly and nearly reaches the very edge of a floor. But it’s in how it cleans that I am really impressed. Having previously had a Vax multi-surface floor cleaner, I was sceptical how a roller would clean my slate and ceramic tiles, especially with what looked like a teensy water supply (compared to that used in the Vax). I have to say that it does work exceptionally well. As there are about four different filters in the dirty water ingress, I also have confidence that it will continue being effective. It’s very easy to set up and even easier to clean afterwards. So much so that I’m inclined to clean the floors much more frequently than I had been doing. So although it is a fairly expensive item, I am happy that I’ve purchased it.

I was expecting to be disappointed but was really impressed. We have a travertine style kitchen tile with gold flecks in it. Despite our cleaner and us regularly cleaning the floor and steaming cleaning it we only get to see them after getting our hands and knees and scrubbing the floor. After two passes of the Bissell they are clearly evident. Though I don’t have pets I got the Pet Pro as it was a great deal, I also bought 1litre of the standard floor cleaner. I much prefer the clean scent of the Pet cleaning fluid, not too strong but has a nice clean smell. I am really impressed with this machine and has made cleaning the house a lot quicker whilst the cleaner is unable to visit because of COVID-19 (still paying her though).

I always do as much research online when spending a lot of money on any appliance. This purchase was no different and WOW i was not disappointed. One of the main benefits is the fact i can save so much time now, being able to hoover and clean the floor at the same time. The suction is fantastic and the wet function is great as well. It sucks pretty much everything. The best hoover I have ever purchased and I have had them all. Karchers Henrys both great but this is by far the greatest purchase of all. The only negative is getting into the corners, it wont end off I have to use a duster mop to drag anything out before hand, you do have to keep on top of the maintenance if you have pet hairs as the tube at the bottom can get clogged after a while with wet dog hair. Other than that its 9 out of 10 in my book and i would recommend anyone buy one today

This is hands-down one of the best products I’ve ever purchased. …We looked at the video reviews online and while I think it’s unlikely that you’ll suck up an entire cracked egg off your floor without using a paper towel first, this thing does the job for bits. We have actual hardwood floors (not laminate, just the pine the Victorians put down), and our wood is so textured that I do have to use the ‘rug’ button instead of the ‘floors’ button to get into all the grooves and knots. I thought I’d resent having to buy Bissell cleaner only, but I don’t (and sometimes I just use warm water). I used to mop every fortnight, but this is a lifesaver as we’ve got a small child. It’s saved my lower back as well. I thought my floor was clean, but it took 3 mops before the Bissell stopped sucking up black water. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI run a small.domestic cleaning business and therefore clean a lot.of houses, many with large areas of hard flooring. There is absolutely no doubt that this item saves time on the traditional vacuuming and mopping and anything that saves time in my industry gets a big thumbs up from.me.

The suction on this machine is excellent and it will suck.up almost anything, wet or dry. However, I wouldn’t say it is a miracle cleaning machine, it cleans no better than a vacuum and steam mop and one downside is that it doesn’t really reach the edges and corners of the room. It works well on most hard floors, wood, tile and ceramic, however, if tiles are very shiny, the roller tends to skid around and leave marks behind. It is also good at cleaning rugs as long as they are large and weighted, otherwise it will just suck them up and get jammed. I don’t agree that the machine dries as it goes, although it doesn’t take long for the floors to dry, it cannot be drying when the roller brush is constantly wet!

The dirty tank is small and gets full very quickly, however it is quick and easy to empty to carry on. Cleaning the machine when you have finished with it is also easy and quick but I would recommend getting a second filter and roller brush as they take 24hrs to dry between uses.

The biggest thumbs down is the cost of the formula, which doesn’t go far, I can get through a one litre bottle of this stuff after cleaning about 3 houses, so.I do have to limit how.much I use the machine because of this. Shame really as I would use it.much more otherwise.

Overall, an excellent time saving piece of equipment but expensive to run.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAbsolutely love it. I had steam cleaners and other suction washing cleaners but this is far the best I have had and used. It will vacuum and clean at the same time but having a furry dog with lots of molting hair I do lightly vacuum first then wash. I use it to lightly go over my rugs and runners to freshen them up and it only leaves them slightly damp. Don’t try to use it as a carpet cleaner as that’s not it’s intended for. I compared this to the Karcher and I’m really pleased I chose this. One thing I found was that the detergent, spare rollers and everything else is a lot cheaper from the Bissell online shop take a look.

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersAs this is an expensive purchase for the equivalent of a mop and bucket I decided to write a review which I hope will help others. I have wood, laminate and tiled floors. I have 3 poodles (non shedding) and 3 cats. However despite the Dogs being non shedding there is a lot of very small bits of hair from grooming along with bits of grass, leaves etc dragged in from the garden along with cat litter.

Previously I would vacuum the floor then use either a steam mop or a vileda spin mop. Despite the prior vacuuming there were always very small bits of hair that would gather in a line and required using dry kitchen roll to remove, the kitchen roll always looked dirty when wiped over the cleaned floor. I have a bad back and constant bending was painful.

After one particularly hard clean up job where the handle of the steam mop detached from the head I decided to try an all in one solution. I couldn’t find any direct comparisons between the Krcher or the Bissell and reading the reviews there were good and bad for both. I decided on the Bissell because I have a Bissell carpet cleaner that I love.

First of all there is virtually no assembly required, and I was able to use it within a few minutes. So I first of all cleaned my kitchen and there were the usual stains plus some blood. I like the Bissell 2 tank system where the dirty water is collected and it is constantly clean water that is being used on the floor. At the end I was disgusted at how dirty the water was – I’m far too embarrassed to post pictures. But the main point was the amount of hair that was collected. This volume was never collected by my vacuum leaving the small residue on the floor that needed a manual wipe and a quantity of kitchen roll.

It is easy to use and not too heavy, it uses far less water than either the steam mop or my bucket. The squeegee on the machine leaves the floors drier than my other methods and I loved the clean, streak free finish I achieved,

The vacuum power was demonstrated when I accidentally picked up an Allen key, it was easily removed from the roller without causing damage.
It has a reasonable length of cord, longer than my steam mop.

If my opinion changes once I have used the mop for some time I will revise this review.

    Pros

    Quicker than other methods
Picked up more small particles, I.e hair
    Always used clean water
    Powerful vacuum
Leaves floors drier than other methods

    Cons
Price it is an expensive item
    It can’t clean in corners.
It is a corded machine therefore requires to be plugged in and plugs changed throughout the process. I really don’t believe that battery technology is at a standard to allow a cordless model.

Golden Review Award: 54 From Our UsersI used to have a Vax Floormate, but it gave up the ghost after a year. I had kept my eyes open for something similar and then a Youtube video introduced me to this wonderful machine. I am so pleased I bought it. In comparison to the Vax Floormate, this machine looks so much more cosmetically appealing, but more than that, it is so light and easy to use. Once the machine is running, the spinning brushhead helps pull it along the floor and it just makes such easy work of cleaning the floors.

I was sceptical about it’s hoovering capabilities but alas there is no worry to be had, as this machine sucks up everything on the floor. In a home with children (girls hair) and dogs, this machine literally sucks up the hair and it doesn’t clog the brush head, unlike with my Dyson cordless. It uses Bissell’s own detergent, which smells lovely but isn’t overpowering.

You fill the detachable pull out container with warm water and the detergent, turn the machine on with either the ‘hard floor’ or ‘rug’ button and away you go. The difference between these two buttons is it puts down more water on the rug setting than it does with the hard floor setting. I use the rug setting on my slate kitchen tiles as it works better that way with more water. The good thing about this machine, with the hard floor setting, is it seems to hardly use much water unlike the Vax Floormate, which literally soaked the floor.

I like the handy tray it comes with, which you stand it in. This is also where you clean the machine after each use by pouring clean water into the tray and turning the machine on so the roller brush cleans itself. You can easily detach the front (see photos) to get the roller brush out to stand it out the machine to dry and clean inside the head of the machine – not that it really gets very dirty!

This floor cleaner seems to have mixed reviews but I am SO pleased I bought it. The sheer ease, light weight and how it is so easy to steer makes this a dream when washing and hoovering your floors. I was forever vacuuming, then hoovering, only to find you had missed some dirt with the hoover and the mop wouldn’t pick it up. This machine solves all this as it’s constantly hoovering as it’s washing your floors.

I intend to buy another roller as a spare, but from watching Youtube videos, this machine in America comes with an additional stiff brush roller. I plan on purchasing one of these too, but you have to buy those on a different ‘bidding’ site as Amazon don’t stock them.

As for the roller brush not being the full length of the head of the machine head, I don’t think it really matters as it really only leaves an inch and if you go in the direction of the wall as opposed to going along the wall, it gets right up close. So glad I bought this machine and the icing on the cake is when you see all the dirty water!

5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT MACHINE!
