    Excellent machine
Just does exactly what it says it will. Pretty quiet, very powerful and not as much of an eyesore as some others with similar capacity.
The thing about this one that’s better than the others is the fact that you can leave it on all night and because it’s got a big tank, it’ll still be happily working away when you awake to your condensation-free home.

easy to use, does the job well, would recommend
only good things to say, been using it for about a month now in a slightly damp below ground room and has vastly outperformed an older dehumidifier of another brand.

Does the job! So good I bought two :)
We had a water leak from the bathroom into the dining room below and needed to dehumidify quickly. Weather has been warm so humidity levels were almost at 80% in this room, these units were extracting 6 litres of water each per day effectively and humidity has now reduced to below 50% they have been very effective and my walls, ceilings and floor have dried out nicely ready for renovation work to commence.

Also double up as air cleaner, feels a bit like aircon and has a clothes drier mode for the winter.

Low energy use according to my smart meter too which is a bonus!

    Large dehumidifie
Really pleased with the performance of this dehumidifier. Large capacity plus drainage pipe option means it can run unchecked for a reasonable time. Various features for different “uses”, clear humidity level displays. Reasonably quiet operation especially on lower fan speed.

    Pretty impressive..
First impressions of this were good, it’s quite a large appliance but looks nice with a minimalist design on the front, control buttons on top and a vent on the back.

It has a wide range of settings for various applications and conditions including a dry clothes function, target humidity setting, air clean function, auto mode, auto defrost indicator and timer.

It was really easy to use, you don’t need to add anything you simply just turn it on to the setting you require. We wanted this for the bedroom as the windows keep getting quite damp inside overnight and we’re worried about it causing mould. We had planned to leave it on overnight but it was a bit too noisy for that in our bedroom, I think it would be ok in a large room though.

We ended up putting it on half hour before bed and the humidity reading fell from 80 to 55 which was good. We did the same thing in the morning with the same sort of numbers. We got around 1-2 litres out which was quite impressive. The windows weren’t fully moisture free as we didn’t leave it on overnight but think they would’ve been if we had left it on.

Emptying it was just a case of pulling out the tank and tipping it down the sink so that was really easy to do.

Overall we’ve been really impressed with this so would definitely recommend for general use, maybe not if you want it on overnight in a small bedroom as it’s a bit loud to sleep over.

Easy to use - Timer Function - Not too noisy
I’ve been trying this out in our utility room/garage area as it is not central heated and can get a little damp sometimes. In terms of operation, its really straight forward and simple to use plus the 24 hour timer is easy to use. I was unable to find anyway to connect permanently to a drain which mean it needs to be manually emptied, it does have an auto cutoff when full. I did notice that it took a good few hours of operation to start working well, but now it seems fine, its on for around 2 hours per day and is drawing a good amount of moisture out.

    Good value
20L model. Well pleased, used in garden workshop to replace old one which gave up after 15 years. This one brought humidity back down from 90 to 70 in 5 hours, and I can leave it on ‘target humidity’ without it overrunning which is economical. Only regret is provision of digital controls which will probably not last more than 10 years and make it difficult to patch repair when the need comes. The outlet vent is facing up so the unit needs turning off and covering if the air is full of wood chips. Intake screen easily detachable and blown clean. Castors smooth but quite small so unit doesn’t roll easily over shavings. Worth the cost compared to industrial units.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our Users20L Unit - Better than expected
There are several reviews here for different models which makes this hard to understand what it is you are buying into given the 2ltr version has some terrible reviews. I had some doubts this would be as good but I took a chance and prayed Amazon’s Customer service would not fail me if it turned out to be crap. I’ve been using a DEM10 for probably going on 8 years now but the current house we are in may be a bit much for this unit alone so opted for this model, obviously an entire house is far to much for a single 20l unit but it helps reduce the humidity if placed in specific areas. We now have one unit upstairs, one downstairs. This 20L model has proven to be amazing, the 6l bucket takes about a day to fill up, the machine is about a noisy as the DEM10 I’m using and extracts double of what the DEM10 can, this is probably helped by the fans just being 100% more powerful moving more air and this was on low setting, although high does not feel much higher, maybe a 20% boost. 2 days on and the house has been a solid 50-56% humidity for the last few days and we usually been resting at 65-75% with just the DEM10 alone.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersPerforms really well, I was impressed
This arrived in top opening branded box with considerable weight to it, I decided to open both the top and bottom and slide the outer box off, you could open it from the top and lift it out as there are cut-outs in the top of the dehumidifier for lifting but it would have still meant having to lift it clear of the box, I thought sliding the outer box off was the best method and it worked out well. I left the dehumidifier standing in place for 24 hours before use as per the instructions.

First impressions: the manual was affixed to the front of the dehumidifier with the first few pages covering safety instructions and warnings along with an identification diagram, it then goes on with very detailed usage instructions along with instructive diagrams, I found the manual very good, easy to follow and all in English so you don’t have to search the right section. After removing the packaging I gave it a good look over, it has a nice clean look with a simple but nice design, the finishing all looks and feels very nice and I particularly liked the LED ring in the front making it easy to see it was running from a distance.

After having a good read through the manual I gave it a try out setting it up next to the balcony doors, this area suffers with a bit of damp during the winter caused through condensation having most windows closed during the cold, although the dehumidifier is heavy it is easy to move having casters on the base and lifting handles should you need them. I set it to target humidity and let it run for three hours twenty seven minutes to be exact, it is fairly loud and I would describe it as about as loud as a cooling fan you would have running in the summer. I found it fairly easy to empty with the water collection section just sliding in and out and it managed to extract half a litre of water in the time it was running which I found surprising and impressive. The filter is very easy to remove and clean when needed simply clipping in and out when you want to.

Overall I was impressed with how well it extracted, I tested out the timer system and that worked perfectly as it should and worked through the other settings trying them out and they all performed as listed, I thought the control panel was clear and easy to use, the instructions at first seem a bit overwhelming but once you get into them are well detailed and easy to follow covering every aspect, function and usage. I was impressed with how well it performed and can’t really find fault with it, for this reason have given top marks

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOutperformed Our Expectations, Compared to the Industrial Unit We Hired Recently
This is the review for the 20 Litre Dehumidifier with the 24 hour timer and LED display.
***IF you want the BOTTOM LINE, scroll to the end for our verdict.***

Why Does a 20 Litre Dehumidifier Have a 6.5 Litre Tank?

This unit is capable of extracting upto a maximum of 20 litres of air moisture with it’s large and powerful motor, it’s designed to work in the wide variation of British weather including unheated spaces. The 20 litre capacity is a huge amount and very close to industrial standards. It has a maximum tank capacity of 6.5 litres, which would need to be emptied 3 times in the 24 hours, if it’s operating at full capacity. But you have another option…

    The Second Option:

The 20 litre model is fitted with a drainage outlet and included, is a hose. I am able to bypass the tank completely and leave the dehumidifier to it’s own devices, without having to empty the tank. I simply fit the hose into the outlet on the device and feed it directly into a suitable drain.

Not very long ago, we needed to hire a dehumidifier in winter to swiftly dry wet plaster in a room after an underfloor central heating pipe burst. As it was in the colder months, we were conscious of the looming damp waiting to rear its head – we didn’t have the privilege of time on our side. Quick action was vital. The hire unit we acquired, extracted to same 20 litres per day as this powerful one.

    Usage:

Having left the unit upright for 24 hours, as instructed to do so by the manual, before use – a crucial point to settle whatever needs settling inside.

    Is it Complicated?

Using this unit, isn’t as straightforward as the industrial unit, nor is it as simple as the smaller capacities in this series. There are a number of presets which are well explained in the well written manual which can be adjusted, allowing it to be totally customisable to your room. It’s not complicated. A set of 5 buttons control the cycle, speeds, timer, level of desired humidity. All selected options are then clearly lit on the LED display.

There’s 2 speeds and 4 presets, so im even able to keep it in the utility room, to quickly dry laundry in the winter months when I hang them inside. I am able to ‘target dry’ a problem area of damp extracting the moisture from the room and, consequently, the wall at a high volume; the ‘air clean’ setting increases the air ventilation and the ‘auto’ setting keeps the moisture level in the room at the optimum level which is suited for very specific purposes such as DIY, craft work, pottery, and for growing tropical and sensitive plants and keeping certain cold blooded pets.

    How Well Does it Work?

It removed a very pleasing 1.75 litre of water on average over the last 3 days, from the utilty and kitchen area when it has been left on this winter for drying laundry indoor,s and extracting the humidity generated from continuous cooking (lockdown has made the children gravitate towards food and cooking).

I am not suffering from any major damp issues at the moment, but for an excess of around 1.75 litre of water extracted from the most humid area in our home has meant that are clothes have dried rapidly! Without that awful damp smell we get when drying clothes in our colder utility which doesn’t get as warm as the rest of the house due to the air vents in there.

    The Level of Sound:

The unit is nowhere near as loud as the industrial unit we hired not too long ago – that one sounded like a vacuum cleaner had been left on.

This one is comparatively quieter – not too dissimilar to the kitchen over-hob extractor whilst it’s on ‘medium’ power. If you are looking for something quieter for a noise-sensitive part of your home, such as in a children’s room, then you would need to decide whether you would be a able to withstand the noise.

In the kitchen/utility, the sound is downed out by our busy family, the usual goings on, the washing machine, music and the sounds omitted from cooking/baking appliances and the extracting vents.

    Our Verdict:

Despite the steady deep hum, which can be grating if you’re very sensitive to sounds, we actually love this device. It outperformed our expectations – I was pleasantly surprised on the huge amount of moisture it managed to extract, in such a short time, even though we currently have no excess moisture related issues.
