Blagdon Midipond Pumps are high quality pumps manufactured with advanced technology to run pond fountains and water features. The powerful motors are easy to maintain having a single moving part impeller system featuring highly wear-resistant ceramic shaft design.
- 3500 – Medium pond. Dimensions (approx.): 2.4m (L) x 1.7m (W) x 0.45m (D) Will run a fountain or feature and a filter in a pond with the max volume of 3582 litres. Will run a fountain or feature and a filter AND a waterfall in a pond with maximum volume 1879 litres.
- 4500 – Large Pond. Dimensions (approx.): 3.6m (L) x 1.6m (W) x 0.52 (D) Will run a fountain or feature and a filter in a pond with the max volume of 4620 litres. Will run a fountain or feature and a filter AND a waterfall in a pond with maximum volume 3150 litres.

Quiet pump with excellent flow rate. Plenty of accessories are included with pump.

Very happy with this pump, purchased to replace my previous failed pump. Easy to assemble and does the job perfectly.
Nozzles and attachments can be tricky to get the correct configuration you may require
The pump runs a water feature and fountain. Very pleased with the power have had to throttle it back to get the desired flow which is exactly what I was hoping for. The pump is well made and a good design with plenty of extras to give different water jets and variable heights. Overall very pleased.
I have had blagdon pumps before and whilst I find them very efficient and do exactly what it says on the tin, this one does have one issue which the manufacturers may want to look into. This pump comes with 3 adaptors, which take the water from the pump, though a pipe to the filter box. The middle adaptor size which should fit the inch pipe, is slightly too big, so the pipe doesn’t fit. The only way I could get round this was to use the fitting from the old pump. I have not tried the other smaller adaptors as mine has inch pipe and I didn’t want to change it as the pipe is an inch at the filter. There maybe a option where you can buy a reducer fitting, to connect the pipe. Hope this helps. Other than that, all else ok.
This my second one, I got about 4 years out of it which consider itsduty in my pond is pretty good. ( removed the foam filter as it would block in a day.I have bought another as standby

We originally bought a solar pump for our pond, but soon realised that this wasn’t strong enough. This pump works perfectly and we have been really pleased.
Great pump been running a week now, has cleared and reoxygenated pond nicely. Had a Blagdon pump before which lasted 3 years and didn’t think to check the size of the pump body…. only just goes under the water as quite a shallow pond…. does the job nicely though.
Easy to assemble but have to keep cleaning to keep pond clear. Easy to install.
I would highly recommend this garden pond pump, extremely efficient for a small to medium size pond. This is the 2nd Blagdon Midipond pump I’ve purchased & it lasts for years. I wouldn’t consider purchasing any other brand.
Nothing to dislike about this item, works well, using ut to run a fountain in pond.
Works great, but may need just a little finesse and patience do undo the “catches” retaining the end cover when you want to clean it out. Need to clean off the green catches and look closely at the “lock” and “unlock” padlock symbols!

Great pump but have to clean filter sponge quite often, but easy to do. It does three feeds and you can regulate where you want the most pressure.
Easy to install and with many different fountain effects in our large pond. We have had various pond pumps in the last 20 years and this is a good un, so far.
The pump was delivered quickly. I have used Blagdon pumps for my pond for a very long time. This new design is so much better, straight forward to fit and very easy to clean, which only needs doing much less less frequently. Very pleased.
Be careful to keep in mind what you want it to do! I bought the correct pump for the size of my pond, but I needed the most powerful model to run my waterfall feature i.e the fountain feature is fine and there are a number of pieces supplied to vary the flow, but the ‘rise’ of water was clearly too great for the pump to provide more than a trickle for the waterfall. In the end, disappointing .
doing what suppose to do, the water flow is strong, however i have to use this for couple of month to find out about the product quality, over all happy with this, much better than some other brands
I have been having theses pumps for years and a good value, easy to install but find the cleaning can be a problem as it is not always easy to get to the filter.
good allround does what is required of it. my fish says its very quiet and doesn’t disturb their sleep time. lol

This is a brilliant pump keeps my 5 foot by 8 feet size pond clear and clean.

I have just ordered another of these after many years of trouble free use. So glad they haven’t discontinued this pump. I have regularly cleared the debris from the grills around the pump with a long handled brush. Keeps going throughout the year.
It replaced an earlier 3000 pump not now available and is absolutely fine.
Works very well. It is well made and was easy to install. clean and adjust. Gives a good fountain spray and great filter cleaning.

You need to shop around for the best price. At full price it is a bit expensive but at 70 it’s a great buy.
Bought with the UV filter to replace old kit that has stopped working. So far working well and very easy to hook up.

Pump worked perfectly. A vast improvement on my previous brand.
My husband had no trouble getting this going. We have a waterfall and fountain running on it really well. It comes with a choice of fittings for the fountain which is nice,and it was a very good price.
This pump was brought to replace one of the same make and model which had stopped working, I was pleased with that one and equally pleased with this. The first lasted for a number of years.

eplacement for similar pump from the same manufacturer which had been in the pond for several years without break or problems but had become damaged during building works. Just a matter of a straight substitution. New one works well with plenty of power available to cope with a three foot head and sensible controls.
easy to assemble and is an excellent pond pump, giving strong waterfall action , thus helping to keep water clear from bacterias.
This new version is easier to open with screwdriver operated fixings on the side. The previous pump was a little difficult to open for maintenance.

your pump is excellent and the fountain is also good, but frequently gets blocked due to sediment at the bottom of the pond.

This pump comes supplied with a range of accessories for various fountains (which I didn’t need but might come in handy) and has a good long lead (though no plug supplied). The only negative I’ve experienced is that the green flow control “taps” you can see in the picture don’t stop at the end of their travel so can just pop out and lose themselves in your pond if you unscrew them too far while increasing the pump flow

the filter box and out of a stainless steel waterfall, the water stays perfectly clean, and the goldfish are healthy, as is the pond life ,frogs etc., Very pleased with purchase.

Good value pump and works ok. Use it in a small pond and it is adequate for running a small waterfall. Had Blagdon for many years so chose another when first one broke down after about 15yrs!

This is the third Blagdon pump I have had, and is the less complicated to maintain. It has been used for only a short time but appears to be performing satisfactorily.
