Overall a good shredder – does the job well. When it gets used a lot it will cut out as it overheats and then takes ages to cool down. Not great if you want to shred a lot of paper in one go. However, on the whole good value for money.

The delivery was set for Sunday, so i thought I’d be wasting the chance to finish my shredding on the Saturday. I checked my emails on Saturday morning and there was one from Amazon saying they could deliver same day. Shredder arrived early afternoon, it was simple to set up and I was shredding merrily by mid afternoon, thus leaving my Sunday free and clear.
I loved my old shredder for it’s easy operation and fairly quiet action, but this one is even better. It shreds into very small pieces, has a smooth action and is even quieter than the one it replaced. At 8 pages a time, although I stuck to 6 for now, I soon ripped my way through the task at hand and although I’d prefer to avoid paperclips, the fact that it doesn’t mind staples makes the job even faster. Also, the small size of shredding that it produces means that it doesn’t need empyting anywhere near as often as with larger cuts. I haven’t tried it with credit cards yet, but if it’s performance so far is anything to go by, I’m sure it will cope magnificently. As a safety measure, there is an overheating cut off to prevent damage to the motor. or risk of fire and this will reset itself once the motor has cooled down, so that you may continue your shredding. All in all, I can highly recommend this excellent piece of machinery, which came in at a very reasonable price.

I’m using this to shred, old personal statements, letters and other sensitive material.
It arrived in a box of diminutive size roughly
35cm high, 19.5 depth and 31.5cm.
Have tried it with 6 sheets at a time and 30 odd pieces to shred, it did it effortlessly.
After the last sheet it does run for a few seconds before stopping.
The bucket has a window to see the depth of paper inside, but it does fill up from that side.
The unit only fits on the bucket one way as it is shaped.
Seems sturdy, it is easy to use.
I put through an old bank card and it destroyed it effectively.
To operate just put it to auto, the other settings are really for paper jams.
Keep very small kids away though, better still unplug when not in use.

Claims 4-minute continuous running time and 40 minutes cool-down time, but I managed over 30-minutes continuous on auto-feed by feeding lightly (no more than 3-pages) and letting the shredder clear before inserting new sheets. There’s a dramatic change in speed going over 3-pages a shred.
Was slightly concerned with reliability issues others reported, but bought Amazon’s 3-year product care which was on offer for 5.09, so pretty happy with that.
Also like the fact that it has a handle which my Fellowes never had. Makes lifting the lump of the shredding head and patting down the shredded paper mound a lot easier. Nice touch.
Edit: for those questioning if it can shred the number of sheets claimed at once – there’s a video for the Bonsaii 18-sheet shredder on Amazon, and instead of showing 18-sheets being done at once, the sheets are fed in overlapped, one after the other, so that maybe a thickness of 3 or 4 sheets at any one time are being shredded.
Arrived very quickly. Used it straight away and it works very well. Only had about 20 A4 sheets to do so it hasn’t had to work hard yet but it certainly does for light domestic use.
This shredder is beautifully designed and works well, shredding paper into small crinkled pieces. It is sturdy and easy to use although struggles with shredding half a dozen sheets at a time.
Great buy, powerful and the waste bin is a generous size.

The Bonsaii shredder isn’t much of a tree, it looks silly in a plant pot and doesn’t have any leaves.

This is a great shredder which cuts and shreds easily. Don’t forget though with any shredder you should use shredder oil to keep it working as it should. Def recommend this shredder….
Excellent purchase, easy to set up and easy to use. The handle makes emptying it much easier and unlike my old shredder it doesn’t jam every 5 minutes. Shreds 6 pages easily. I would highly recommend this purchase.
It’s early days, but we’re very pleased so far. It’s reliable and has a compact plastic box to collect the shredded paper. This doesn’t leak like our old one, and the top has a handle to help with emptying. There have been no jams and although there is a light to warn of overheating, we haven’t seen that so far.
It’s more compact than our previous shredder, but is made for A4 sheets just the same. It’s probably because the box to collect the shreds is neater. It also has a handy window so you can see how full it is.
One thing to note when emptying is that if your hand touches underneath the shredder unit, you will find that it has been very well greased. That’s obviously a good thing, but just be wary of getting the grease all over you.
Over heated very quickly. Unolugged and let cool off. Used for shredding sensitive documents.
Great shredder for my home office. Seems to handle a couple of sheets of paper at a time. Only had it for a week or so therefore cannot comment on longevity however seems to do the job for now.

Put it in a cool place, dont shred next to a radiator, and it wont overheat! Have managed to do a bag of shredding a day, with no issues.

I have used it and find it good. It is easy to use I have so much to shred so I am doing it systematically. My only complaint it is heavy and on wheels it would be an advantage simply because I’m an old lady!!

Seems to work well,haven’t overloaded it ,the over run is useful as it gives you chance to get the next piece ready,no problems with clogging.
Noisier than my previous shredder but it does shred well. The indicator light is very useful so I don’t get carried away shredding too long and burn it out like my last one.
It does what it says and just remember to rest the machine for the reommended time.
This is a great shredder and nicely secure. Window is useful as it sure fills up when you do a lot but it handles it all well. Its a 8 sheets max but I also shredded a few cards and thicker paper fairly continuously I’d buy it again. .

An absolutely brilliant crosscut shredder which is much more efficient than my old Fellows. Cuts everything into little squares quickly & is simple to operate. Oiling is essential for shredders & Bonsaii market their own brand. This was sold at a great price too!
Very pleased with this shredder! Only used once but did the job effectively! Only criticism is that it’s rather noisy but not a problem!
This compact shredder has good visible controls with various settings with a convenient handle to remove the top to empty. The window in the waste basket is excellent showing how full it is and has excellent cross shredding. The down side is it is extremely noisy although idea for just home use.

Had loads of paper to shred , put the switch to auto and no need to cool down after 4 minutes lasts at least an hour continuously.
A good shredder however it only takes about 12-15 minutes before it overheats and yoiu need to let it cool down. If you don’t shred too much though it is very good.
I had never heard of this make but decided to give it a chance after my well known brand shredder died a death. This is far better and I have to say I’m surprised. It’s easy to use and does the job really well. I’ve got my fingers crossed it carries on working well.

It came on time and destroys the documents better than my old one, funny thing is the instructions say that it should be running for 5 minutes and rest for 40 mins. Thats not really an issue as it does the job i need.

This is a perfectly servicable shredder and good value for money but what really impressed me was the service we received when it broke down (under warranty). Extremely quickly the company responded, apologised and sent a replacement. Very refreshing.

Only just received it so my review is based on 2 uses. Ideal for a home shredder. Easy to empty & handle makes carrying the motor unit easier. The bin is light enough to carry on its own.
Found this shredder to be quite robust, liked the handle to lift the shredder part from the bucket made for easier emptying. Quite compact, does not take up much space, easier to use than my last printer. Would order this model again if I needed to
