By comparison, this Bonsai unit chewed it’s way through a 2ft tall 2ft square wicker basket full of confidential waste in one afternoon without missing a beat. The only thing that held it back was how fast I could feed it, so clearly the cooling fan in this design makes a real difference.
Highly recommend and well worth the outlay.
This is much better than my previous shredder which used to jam frequently with more than 6 sheets of paper together.
No fuss. Doesn’t jam lke cheeper makes. Expensive but worth the money.

I was a bit surprised it dd not have an automatic cut off when fingers get near. Ffor the price I would have though this should be included, as it was on my old one at half the price. This new one shreds everything I throw at it. And I’ve had a decent shredding session and it hasn’t stopped or complained. You get what you pay for. And so I reckon this is good value for its abilities.

Although not cheap, well worth the money. We had been putting off using our old shredder to get rid of a year’s worth of confidential waste. We decided to upgrade and get a new one, so glad we did. It dealt with the mountain of paperwork effortlessly. Our daughter borrowed it for a couple of days and has decided to get one also.
I was disappointed that it says I cannot use it to get rid of DVDs as that was one of the reasons
I bought it. At the price I paid I would have thought it could be used for this.
I would rate this as a very good all-round shredder, in that it shreds documents into exceptionally small pieces, is relatively quiet and, because it has a fan, does not overheat. Unfortunately mine unexpectedly failed after approximately nine months’ use, but has been replaced under warranty with no quibble and with excellent service and communication from both the seller, Justar, and from Amazon. The replacement took less than five days from start to finish, and I would definitely buy from this seller again.
It is a great machine but unfortunately, the shredder developed a fault after 8 months. The support I received was amazing. After a couple of quickly answered emails the various options to fix it failed, so the company simply dispatched a new one. No fuss…just a great company standing by their product.
Easy to use straight out of the box. I had a really big paperwork clear out and was able to micro shred filling 12 large garbage bags. Went on for well beyond an hour and never overheated. I didn’t push the max number of sheets at one time – and generally sh a few less than max. I used the self-oiling sheets a few times but not as frequently and recommended and it’s been a really good investment. Shredded a couple of dozen old credit and other plastic cards of family members with no issues.
Read mixed review on this product but decided to go with it and I’m impressed with it so far.

A workhorse compared to the run of the mill shredders you can can get from UK supermarkets, though it is important to deploy the recommended lubrication to ensure longevity. As a result of how finely it shreds, there is fine dust produced which may make it unsuitable for use in confined spaces. The close/open sensor is a bit hit and miss. However to know you have a shredder which can handle at least four A4 100gsm sheets at a time for nearly an hour continuously without overheating, confirms we have a very robust machine, still going strong for me several months down the road.
Absolutely fantastic shredder, my old cheap one just got blocked and over heated all the time, this one sheds paper and clip etc with ease. Goes through paper like butter and the sheds are so small no one is ever likely to ready a single thing off them, very very quiet too which is great.
If you want documents shredded properly Don’t buy a cheaper one buy a Bonsai!!

I do the household shredding once a month and this does in minutes what my other would take an hour to do. A friend brought round a full ream box worth to do and the shredder didn’t even blink. A huge bin so you don’t need to empty as often as others. Highly recommended.

It’s a replacement shredder for the one that I have had for years. I’ve only used it once but it seemed to work well.

Have not found a micro shredder that is lower than this price. It shreds perfectly especially for highly confidential paperwork . The waste bin is also extremely large. I just hop[e it continues to work as perfectly as it does now.

Very pleased with this shredder. Noise level acceptable. Shredded paper into very small pieces. Says it would take 14 sheets at a time. I feel this would be a bit much unless the sheets were very thin. I put through 7 to 8 sheets at a time, seemed to manage easily. Also chews up staples. Would recommend.
Great paper shredder, cuts the paper not in strips but in tiny pieces, cuts through credit cards with ease too. Leaves all the paper trimmings nice and compact in the collector. Really happy with my purchase.
