The Bosch PTS 700E Jigsaw
This is another nice product from Bosch and presented in the familiar Green Plastic Carrying Case.
So much better than my old one purchased in the 1970’s. The Bosch is easier to use with low vibration and pleasant handling which is a familiar thing with Bosch tools. Quick change of blade is a useful factor and a Corded Machine for instant use. I am confident that this will suit my current and future DIY projects.
I own several other Bosch tools so I might be counted as a Fan of the Brand.

Excellent Item of ki
I bought this to replace my old jigsaw.
I don’t do much diy, but I do need a jigsaw from time to time and this fits the bill. It’s easy to set up and use although I did buy the splinter guard and guide accessories in addition. I also bought some additional blades.
The speed control is very good allowing a slow start, increasing speed as you get comfortable with the job.
I’m satisfied that this item will do what I need it to. The case is durable and handy for keeping the saw, the extra blades and a couple of other small bits and pieces.
If I was using the saw regularly I’d probably have chosen a cordless version, but the corded one is fine for my purposes.
Might not last as long as you think it should....
This is the 2nd jigsaw I’ve bought, it was exactly the model I bought in September 2019 (so, sadly, out of warranty). On the old machine, the mechanism that keeps the blade in place has broken so it isn’t possible to use the machine any more. TBH, it’s had quite a bit of use over the time I’ve had it, so I’m happy to replace it with a new one, especially when the broken part was going to cost 30 and the new saw was “only” 30 more…..That all explains the headline!
I have a couple of Bosch tools that share the same battery (I have two of those as well) and like the machine. It cuts well, has a light on it, has a good guide on the baseplate. It does what I need which is pretty basic DIY. Battery life is OK, but I’m not sure I’d want to rely on it to last a whole day in constant use.
It’s a shame it doesn’t come in a nice plastic case though. I’ll see if it lasts beyond the warranty period again….
Sailed through a worktop.
Had the Bosch cordless drill with 2 batteries so after the plumber let me down when I needed a sink moving decided to go for this to replace corded one I seem to have mislaid while moving house. Delighted with it, sailed through the worktop better than I expected being cordless. Loving having a cordless one now, so much easier. I’m just a hobby diyer because I have to but this will help me do more myself and work out cheaper in the long run. Plan on making some window shutters next.
Looks a usefull tool
I actually got this in July 2022 when it was “on special”. A week ago I had a small woodworking job I thought this tool would be ideal for. Unpacked it, all looked great until I looked for the blade, there wasn’t one! So I guess that was the “reduction”, no blades!!! Anyway, used the handsaw & put a memo on the phone to get some blades.
Cordless jigsaw
This unit does the job-but note it doesn’t come with a case which you have to buy separately.
I had a lot of sawing to do to make lots of shelves. This did the job super quick and straighter than I could do.
Nothing changed from last order, 💯 2 all at Amazon.
All perfect what else can I say. Can’t wait till Amazon mess up an order, lol. So far no faults and 2 be honest I’m not expecting any. Place an order, check ur order , then watch it travel to ur door, item dispatched, item collected, item out for delivery, and item delivery time and date, just listen for the door bell. DONE.
User's Guide

To improve:
1. User’s guide; for some additional bits I found in the box I have no clue how to use. Neither the
included booklet nor an online manual helped.
2. The red blade storage doesn’t stay in place while operating the tool; would be good if it did.
Brilliant, but where's the blade?
A great saw, put straight to use after opening the case. Fortunately, I had also bought some Bosch blades, because my unit did to come with a blade ass advertised. Hence four stars. Still, very easy to use, a great little machine.
Easy to use. Enough power for me
I’m terrible at sawing so I thought I’d give this a try. Having just moved house I have a number of jobs to do. Having the Home and Garden drill and sander, I can swap batteries between tools.
Lovely Jigsaw
This jigsaw is very easy to use and being a bosch you know it’s good quality.
Having no lead to worry about makes it so much easier to use.
Excellent all round tool
Having previously owned a Bosch jigsaw for many years we decided it had seen better days and needed replacing. We are so glad we did. the new version has better safety features and is far more manageable. It is easy to manoeuvre and reaches into all the awkward corners. The blade is really easy to change too. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone interested in home DIY.
Cuts stuff easily
I really get on well with Bosch power tools and this is no exception – as you’d expect it makes cutting wood etc effortless – it’s low vibration and it’s really accurate. I particularly like the little perspec cutting guide flap that points out the front.
My only 2 little moans about it are there’s no form of deadman’s switch – as soon as you press the trigger it starts (as you’d expect I guess) – but it’s very hard to pick it up without accidentally pressing the trigger this is a bit dangerous – I’d prefer something like you have on lawn mowers where you have to press a button and then the trigger
Secondly the box it comes in is a lot more flimsy than the Bosch drill box – and arrived with one corner smashed. It’s not worth sending back over but it’s a bit annoying since I specifically want it in a box (oddly some of Bosch’s product don’t have a nice plastic box).

Well it is a top brand tool so you expect a top job, my Mrs love it for her upcycling she said its powerfull but also very well balanced so happy days .
Ease of Use
I bought this jigsaw to cut both straight and curved lines. I am really pleased with the handling ability, especially when cutting around a curve at a 45 deg angle. This proved to be much easier than I was expecting and the result was as good as I was hoping for.
Great jigsaw for home diy
I already have several Bosch power tools which have never let me down so I had no hesitation choosing this jigsaw over some cheaper “no name” ones. I have used it several times since purchase and I’m very happy with the performance. As with any cutting tool, use good quality blades and don’t force it, let the tool do the work.

Wanted something to be able to cut through wood without needing a saw. The straight can be tricky you’ll need to have a proper bench and clamps etc. Curves are extremely easy. Night the Bosch extra blades as well. Got the mains version just find it more convenient rather than waiting for batteries to charge etc. Good price.

Cuts through wood planks in a breeze. Comes with a single wood saw blade, so you don’t actually need to buy extra blades as I did unless you need to work on metal.

Overall I am very happy with this product. Only a couple of criticisms. I found when handling, the trigger could easily be set in motion, so had to be careful when picking it up. Also, when doing curves, the guidelines on the on surface to be cut could not be seen so estimates on where the cutting blade was had to be made. I am only an amateur at this, so will probably get more used to it as time goes on.

Dank Warehouse nochmal paar Euro gnstiger tut sie genau das, was ich brauchte: saubere, schnelle Schnitte z.B. in Kchenarbeitsplatten, ohne dass die Nachbarn bei eingebauten Arbeitsplatten aus dem Bett fallen. Die Vibration ist erstaunlich gering, somit auch der Lrm, der sich auf angrenzenden Bauteile und Wnde bertrgt. Tolle Sge und eine gute Entscheidung.
Aus der 18V-Akku-Reihe werden sicher weitere Gerte dazu kommen.

I’d had my old Bosch jigsaw for more years than l care to remember and overall had no problems with it, so l was disappointed when it did finally give up the ghost about a month ago. I ordered a similar model from Amazon, my favourite supplier, and it was delivered spot on next day. I have used the new jigsaw many times since then and am amazed at how much more accurate it is, along with the extra power of course. Love my old one as l did, l’m beginning to wish l had upgraded to this model earlier.

I am a rank amateur but needed to cut the cat flap bigger in the back door so decided to have a go. This tool is very easy to use and I am very pleased I managed to cut the hole reasonably well! Very pleased with the jigsaw and I’ll have a go at a few other jobs 🙂
Cuts floorboards and doors cleanly
I got this and a set of blades to help fit a wooden floor in the hallway. With the right blade and anti-splinter accessory it was so good I didn’t need to file edges, just glue the boards and scotia straight away! My husband said I was smiling as I cut neat, straight lines in seconds.
I managed to cut sections and angles into boards to fit our wonky walls and round steps and door frames. Similar principles to a sewing machine and small scale piercing work in metal to get corners and bends.
Very good but not the bes
Works well, only issue I have come across, occasionally the blade locking mechanism jams. It gets lot of use, but now and then it locks so I strip it down to clean, then it’s OK.

I purchased this after my cheap one broke after a couple of uses.
So glad I went for this one as it is a dream to work with, easy to use and the guide is a really handy addition. Glides through in no time at all.
Only thing i might have thought about is getting a battery version for easier use but to be honest pulling out the extension lead is not to much of an issue.
Overall its an amazing tool and highly reccomended.

Ho risparmiato prendendolo da Amazon warehouse usato, ma era totalmente nuovo, mai usato da nessuno. Ho risparmiato qualcosina.
Dimenticavo: ho preso una valigetta robusta ma generica sempre da Amazon warehouse per soli 11 euro che calza a meraviglia, anzi ci sta’pure qualcos’altro dentro.

I laid laminate flooring and fitted skirting boards using this tool across my entire flat and experienced no obvious deterioration in performance of the blade, movement of the blade or anything else. A top product.
Well worth the money
Realy powerfully machine well made and realy easy tool less blade change ive used it to cut up shed floor and even tho I only had a cheap blade it still did a good job with proper blade for chip board it would have been super fas
I’ve only used the Bosch 06033A0170 PST 800 PEL Jigsaw for sawing 12mm MDF board, but unlike my old jigsaw it is easy to cut in a straight line and at a 90 degree angle to the top of the board. The guide that fits on the front of the saw makes it easy to follow a line, until you get to the end, that is, when the guide goes off the end of the board and the line becomes difficult to see (the last 1-2cm). It’s really just just a question of getting used to the process and making sure that your body is in the right place I’m sure, but I took a point off the ease of use as I wandered a little once at the end of a cut.
Another reviewer stated that no blades were included. There was a single blade included, though I am glad that I ordered “Bosch 2608633779 Clean Wood Jigsaw Blade, 1 Lug, Silver, Pack of 3” at the same time as I think that the bigger teeth on the blade that came with the saw would have given a rougher cut on the mdf board I used.
In the description of the saw it says that a lithium ion battery is required but not included. It’s not stated in the saws details what type of lithium battery would be needed and I could not find any mention of the battery in the instructions or see where a battery could be fitted, so I think that the details on the screen must be wrong and consequently only scored the accuracy a 4.
All in all I’m pretty pleased with the saw.
Superb Tool for very little money
Although I bought this for a chest of drawers repair, I have found so many uses for this product, it does make me wonder how I coped before, this is the best bit of money I have spent in such a long time.
Very safe, superb sawing action with as much versatility as I could ever need.
Replacing the old one
I have never had a problem with any of my Bosch tools & this one has replaced my old one after 15 years of use & now beginning to show signs of wear after being used most weeks in my business. I am sure the newbie will prove to be as outstanding.
Even budget Bosch is superior to alternatives
Don’t waste money on those 20 rubbish saws, you will regret it. For the longest time, I thought I was using jigsaws wrong. The blades and cuts were never straight and cutting was difficult. Using this was a revelation. Even a budget Bosch is better than no name bargain tools.

As someone that is next to useless at any form of DIY, i read other reviews of this product and bought it. Glad i did as its very easy to set up and use. Made light of cutting through deck boards and pallets for my garden project. Excellent value for money and delivered the next day. My only issue was that the blade it was supplied with was loose and unprotected in the carry case and i nearly cut my hand. Didnt help the inside of the box is black and so is the blade. So be careful when opening the carry case.

Almost everything is perfect, until I went to put it together. When I opened the saw blade holder I was confused. It looked like it was supposed to have 2 blades in it, but it only had 1. So I looked through the paperwork, and that showed 2. So I feel slightly cheated.
So glad I purchased this

It does the job well
Bought to replace an old black and decker that broke after a few years limited use. I chose this one for the features i especially like the way it can blow dust away so you can maintain a straight line. Used it to cut laminate flooring with matching bosch 101BR blades it made the task quick and simple.
Light, lots of functions and a decent guarantee, recommended.
Like a hot knife through butte
Bought this after struggling with an electrical reciprocating saw to chop up old decking.
This went through it in record time. Was able to cut down an entire yard of decking planks into 2 foot lengths in under an hour of cutting.
The blade fitting/replacement system instructions could be clearer though, as it takes significant effort to release a blade. I understand it needs to be secure, but the single illustration for removal suggests a much greater degree of movement of the blade holder than actually occurs, so you place more effort than required on the blade, increasing chance of cutting your fingers.

Bosch jigsaw
Great to use, powerful enough for all jobs so far. Obviously the thicker the wood the slower the cut. Fits nicely in the hand, easy blade change, nice case and not too heavy. It’ll do for me! No complaints. Definitely recommend!

I’ve wanted a jigsaw for years and never got round to buying one, using a hand saw instead. Oh why didn’t I buy one earlier – just zipped through my wood in seconds. Would have taken me ages (and a sore arm) to cut with hand saw. The minimal vibration is excellent and this together with the blowing away of sawdust so that you can see your cutting line are two of the reasons I bought this model – plus of course the named of Bosch and the price. Blades are easy to get as well.

Having mis managed hand saws for years making a bad job of it..invested in this product and WOW my DIY prowess excelled. Well down to the tool really but as it cannot talk I will take the credit.
Buy it now for all those amateur DIY jobs and enjoy the difference doing it right first time makes.
Very useful and easy to use
I am a sixty year old woman and this helped me cut up old garden decking and make garden boxes. So easy to use, if a little scary as so efficient. I would buy again. Saved so much effort. Invaluable really.
Easy to recommend
Great jigsaw, easy to use and well built. For the price it’s surprising how good it is. Don’t be fooled thinking the ‘green’ bosch tool range is only for the DIYer, they are much more than that. Highly recommended.

Blades are the same as those from my Lidl’s failed Jigsaw – which this replaced – so that was a bonus!

V minor quibble but fitting the supplied loose plastic bits was irritatingly fiddly.

Great little jigsaw
I’m only an occasional diyer and wasn’t prepared to spend loads of cash on something that will often sit on a shelf. Used this to shape some plywood for my day-van. Can’t complain at all. It cuts very well and even blows the sawdust away for a clearer view of the cut line. I did think about spending the extra and getting the more powerful version but glad I didn’t. No complaints so far. Comes in a sturdy plastic case and you can leave the blade attached for storage. I love the size of it, really small and light. Great buy.

Appears to be a great investme
The jigsaw is light weight and easy to control (for a novice female). I did think it came with a guide to set the distance from the edge of the wood and the angle could be rotated but I was deciphering images to work out the features. Took a bit of getting used to the switch, it was easy to press too much and get more power than I wanted at times.
SUPER Stichsäge
Kann diese Stichsge nur wrmstes weiterempfehlen! Es macht richtig Spa damit zu arbeiten! Habe heute ohne Probleme eine Arbeitsplatte ausgeschnitten.
Not as good as it should be.
The large safety guard on the front is a waste of time, when in use the light reflects of it so you can’t see the line you are following. The blade has cut into the blade guard when I was cutting found a bend. Not as good as it should be.

Jigsaw with an edge!
A very easy piece of kit to handle. Cuts accurately and sharply with out any trouble. Be careful cutting hardwoods as the blades can twist with too much pressure and spoil your precision. Having said that, it works wonders on wood of the correct depth. Delivery was excellent as ever from Amazon and during these difficult times they always come through with courtesy and care. Excellent all round.

Good Value for Money
Bought this with amazon voucher my son gave me for Christmas As i needed to cut some 12 millimeter ply into a curved shape into a couple of bearers. Pleasantly surprised with its performance and how quiet it is. I used the supplied blade for the cut although i had bought a pack of others. I took my time and the finished article was of a good standard. The blade followed the lines i had marked out as long as i didnt try to rush it.
I would recomend this saw to anyone doing DIY projects like me .
