I know in theory it shouldn’t, but it definitely provides more power than a smaller battery.
This battery is a great addition to your Bosch Professional arsenal. I ran the 1.5 and 2.0 ah batteries in my 18v drills and impactors for a long time, purely because they were cheap and done the job. After borrowing a friends battery one day, I noticed my impact had a little more grunt. I made sure that I was going to stop cutting corners and actually buy a ‘grown up’ battery.
Get the most out of your tool investment by purchasing a quality battery, 4.0+ah will give you plenty of umph and longevity, which is important as there is nothing worse than having to stop mid drill to change a battery.
Great official battery at Great price, bought two different sizes and both do the job. Would recommend and will buy again.

Habe den Akku als Tauschakku bestellt, damit ich einen weiteren Akku zum wechseln habe. Ladezeit und Ausdauer sind gut. Benutze den Akku am Akkuschrauber, Akkuschlagbohrer, Akkuhandkreissge und Staubsauger.

Je nach Anwedung hllt dieser lnger oder krzer. wrde ich bei dieser Gre mit Schnellladegert empfehlen, da es sonst schon etwas nervig werden knnte.

The first worked well for a short time, but quickly started to loose charge rapidly and overheated, eventually burning a hole in itself. A second lasted less well and never seemed to have the guts to properly power a Bosch handheld circular saw. This battery may be more expensive than those clones, but it is miles ahead in terms of quality. I’ve had it for several months now and use it most weeks, switching between various tools. It holds it’s charge well, doesn’t overheat even with prolonged use and recharges quickly. I’ll never go back to generic batteries now and would advise others not to be swayed that way either.

Je les utilise avec mes appareils bosch pro 18V. Les batteries sont cheres mon got, mais c’est le cas de toutes les batteries.

Super batterie, aucun problme, et peut en effet tre utilis la place des batteries “ProCore”. J’utilise celle ci pour les lampes de chantier Bosch Professionnel.
La verdad es que es un poco cara (podra ser ms barata) por lo que la relacin calidad-precio la punto con tres estrellas; sin embargo, la durabilidad con una radial prcticamente es del doble que con una batera de 4.0 ah.

The 5ah is absolutely worth getting for higher drain stuff like sanders and reciprocating saws.
Same form factor as 3 & 4ah I have, maybe a touch heavier but not noticeably so.

Guter Akku. Hlt wirklich lange. Benutze ihn berwiegend mit der Sbelsge. Praktisch ist Ladestandsanzeige. Allerdings ist der Akku recht schwer – dafr ist er aber sehr langlebig.

This is the second one of these that I’ve bought from this seller and no complaints from me as it does what it said it does.
Holds its charge very well. I use it daily in an impact wrench as a scaffolder and it has never ran out during a full on days work. Don’t know how I’ve managed so long without one

I was looking to add a couple of spare accus for my Bosch 18v tools and this bundle had the best price/performance ratio (price per 1 Ah)
They are not the Pro Core variant (latest one from Bosch) but I don’t really care about that as long as the accus are doing their job.
It is just as good as the earlier version, but better with the additional battery level indicator, a simple but effective improvement for the user!
Just works, no issues whatsoever. Came pre-charged just to one bar. Heavy but guess thats what it would be.

A great upgrade to the 3Ah battery that came with my drill – lasts all day and charges in about 35-40 mins with the quick charger.

Teuer aber gut…ich habe vor geraumer zeit alles nach und nach auf bosch akkubetrieb umgestellt und bin nach wie vor begeistert. Die haltbarkeit der akkus ist fr den privatgebrauch mehr als ausreichend. Bei dem preis sollten hier aber auch keine schwchen auftauchen. Gute verpackung und schnelle lieferung

Charged in my old charger for as long as it needed and plugged into new drill and works fine.
I tried an after market battery as I knew that I would be using a lot of batteries in one day but that failed me and would not recharge after it drained. The Bosch Pro batteries are great and really cool down quickly so will go from used to straight on to the charger.

Good traditional Bosch battery. Lasts a lot longer than the 4.0 amp ones.
This charger is fast to charge and I understand it does more than 1 appliance but I think it is a little expensive but still cheaper than buying from Bosch
You can never have enough batteries. I got this one when it was on special at a fraction of the normal retail price. Great value and works a treat being the manufacturers own part. Bosch tools aren’t cheap but they are worth it.
Used on site in drill, angle grinder, jigsaw and sds hammer all day battery tired at end of shift but then so was I, like all my other 18v batteries does a days work and doesn’t let you down.
Backup power for tools, one on charge, one in use.

Der Akku ist zwar ziemlich teuer, hlt aber super lange.
Ich habe mir noch zwei Vergleichstypen bestellt,
mal schauen wie gut oder schlecht die sind.
Ich wrde diesen Akku trotzdem weiterempfehlen.

Was man zu einem originalem Standard-Akku sagen kann:
– er passt (natrlich) zu den / in die blauen Bosch-Gerte/n
– laden klappt unproblematisch
– Kapazitt ist gut
Die Haltbarkeit kann ich heute noch nicht beurteilen, das bringt nur die Zeit…
Ich kann den Originalakku, trotz des gegenber Nachbauten hheren Preises, nur empfehlen.

Bosch Pro typisch ist er absolut makellos verarbeitet und passt in ALLE professionellen 18V Gerte (Die kompatibilitts Frage kommt bestimmt),natrlich hat er ein hheres Gewicht als ein 2 Ah Standart Akku aber dafr ist auch das Durchhaltevermgen mehr als doppelt so hoch.
Fr GSR (TE)/GSB vielleicht etwas over powered und schwer aber fr GWS/GST/GSA/GKS genau das richtige,so macht arbeiten spass.
Wer viel Leistung braucht kann bedenkenlos zugreifen,vor allem bei einem Preis unter 50 pro Akku.
Great upgrade brought for 18v bare angle grinder not more heavy than 3 amp version. Was going to buy another but price has gone up b 10 in under a week so purchased from 3bay.
I’m a joiner, I was charging my older 18v De Walt batteries 3 or 4 times a day, now I’m only charging this battery once or twice e week doing exactly the same work.

My old Bosch drill which is 20 years old, the battery may only last 2 hours doing similar work.

These batteries are the best on the market they hold their charge and never get hot! charge time is good and they just keep on going!
I use a selection of Bosch tools and so use the batteries that have variously come with sets, and also been purchased separately – this includes 1.3Ah, 1.5Ah, 3.0Ah and now the 4.0Ah – so can compare these side by side:
– 1.3Ah is small and lightweight, but without a battery indicator, and gives less torque than the larger sizes. Ideal on the screwdriver or for tight access.
– 1.5Ah is also lightweight and includes a battery indicator.
– 3.0Ah was the previous range topper and has an indicator and plenty of life.
– The new 4.0Ah uses the same case size as the 3.0Ah, so no additional bulk and not even any difference in weight that you would notice in use.
The on/off use of power tools makes it quite difficult to judge the Bosch claim that the 4.0Ah versions last up to 65% longer than the 3.0Ah, but subjectively it does last longer than the 3.0Ah, though I do not notice any great difference in ‘oomph’ (to use a technical term!) as the 3.0Ah batteries have always had the necessary grit to power the drill and saws.
Prices have fallen considerably on these since they launched at the start of 2013 and as at July 2013 are down to under 65 inc delivery. That is within a few pounds of where the 3.0Ah versions were selling for last year – though they are available for less now – and to my mind makes these good value.
It is worth totalling up the cost of two batteries, a charger, case and new power tool if you are looking for more than just a battery as sometimes the kits can work out as good value.
I have yet to have any Bosch 18v battery fail on me and I have no hesitation in recommending these over the 3.0Ah version.
