When the battery that came with my Bosch drill started to fail after considerable use I shopped around and settled on a generic, cheaper copy-cat battery. The first worked well for a short time, but quickly started to loose charge rapidly and overheated, eventually burning a hole in itself. A second lasted less well and never seemed to have the guts to properly power a Bosch handheld circular saw. This battery may be more expensive than those clones, but it is miles ahead in terms of quality. I’ve had it for several months now and use it most weeks, switching between various tools. It holds it’s charge well, doesn’t overheat even with prolonged use and recharges quickly. I’ll never go back to generic batteries now and would advise others not to be swayed that way either.

La verdad es que es un poco cara (podra ser ms barata) por lo que la relacin calidad-precio la punto con tres estrellas; sin embargo, la durabilidad con una radial prcticamente es del doble que con una batera de 4.0 ah.

Guter Akku. Hlt wirklich lange. Benutze ihn berwiegend mit der Sbelsge. Praktisch ist Ladestandsanzeige. Allerdings ist der Akku recht schwer – dafr ist er aber sehr langlebig.

Not ProCore, nevertheless great value for money
I was looking to add a couple of spare accus for my Bosch 18v tools and this bundle had the best price/performance ratio (price per 1 Ah)
They are not the Pro Core variant (latest one from Bosch) but I don’t really care about that as long as the accus are doing their job.

This adds more power to your elbow when working with your Bosch tools. I use for DIY stuff so there is more than enough power available to me. Whilst heavier than the 2AH battery it does extend tool working life so the tradeoff is worth it.

Stick with the branded item this is far better than the after market versions.
I tried an after market battery as I knew that I would be using a lot of batteries in one day but that failed me and would not recharge after it drained. The Bosch Pro batteries are great and really cool down quickly so will go from used to straight on to the charger.

You can never have enough batteries. I got this one when it was on special at a fraction of the normal retail price. Great value and works a treat being the manufacturers own part. Bosch tools aren’t cheap but they are worth it.

Bosch usual quality
Used on site in drill, angle grinder, jigsaw and sds hammer all day battery tired at end of shift but then so was I, like all my other 18v batteries does a days work and doesn’t let you down.

Der Akku ist zwar ziemlich teuer, hlt aber super lange.
Ich habe mir noch zwei Vergleichstypen bestellt,
mal schauen wie gut oder schlecht die sind.
Ich wrde diesen Akku trotzdem weiterempfehlen.

Was man zu einem originalem Standard-Akku sagen kann:
– er passt (natrlich) zu den / in die blauen Bosch-Gerte/n
– laden klappt unproblematisch
– Kapazitt ist gut
Die Haltbarkeit kann ich heute noch nicht beurteilen, das bringt nur die Zeit…
Ich kann den Originalakku, trotz des gegenber Nachbauten hheren Preises, nur empfehlen.

Endlich genug Power um den ganzen Tag arbeiten zu knnen,ohne stndig die Akkus zu laden,alles unter 2 Ampere ist Spielzeug und fr manche Gerte nicht zu gebrauchen.Flex,Sbelsge und Handkreissge sind recht durstige Gesellen,doch mit den 5 Ah Akkus wird der Durst gestillt.
Er kam gut verpackt,vorgeladen und original versiegelt an.
Bosch Pro typisch ist er absolut makellos verarbeitet und passt in ALLE professionellen 18V Gerte (Die kompatibilitts Frage kommt bestimmt),natrlich hat er ein hheres Gewicht als ein 2 Ah Standart Akku aber dafr ist auch das Durchhaltevermgen mehr als doppelt so hoch.
Fr GSR (TE)/GSB vielleicht etwas over powered und schwer aber fr GWS/GST/GSA/GKS genau das richtige,so macht arbeiten spass.
Wer viel Leistung braucht kann bedenkenlos zugreifen,vor allem bei einem Preis unter 50 pro Akku.

If you use your tools for hobbying DIY and were supplied 2 with the tool, maybe you won’t need the 4Ah battery. The standard batteries charge quickly while you use the other. If you are doing a decent project, then this is worth getting.

Love the new drill and love this battery. Goes forever, has a battery indicator and a fan to cool the battery. Far better than the miserly 1*2Ah ni-cad batteries in my old Bosch drill. Nothing to think about, New battery technology has come on in leaps and bounds. Go for it.

The 4.0Ah batteries are the latest step up in the Bosch Blue 18v range and are the largest capacity. The largest capacity was previously 2.6Ah, then 3.0Ah.
I use a selection of Bosch tools and so use the batteries that have variously come with sets, and also been purchased separately – this includes 1.3Ah, 1.5Ah, 3.0Ah and now the 4.0Ah – so can compare these side by side:
– 1.3Ah is small and lightweight, but without a battery indicator, and gives less torque than the larger sizes. Ideal on the screwdriver or for tight access.
– 1.5Ah is also lightweight and includes a battery indicator.
– 3.0Ah was the previous range topper and has an indicator and plenty of life.
– The new 4.0Ah uses the same case size as the 3.0Ah, so no additional bulk and not even any difference in weight that you would notice in use.
The on/off use of power tools makes it quite difficult to judge the Bosch claim that the 4.0Ah versions last up to 65% longer than the 3.0Ah, but subjectively it does last longer than the 3.0Ah, though I do not notice any great difference in ‘oomph’ (to use a technical term!) as the 3.0Ah batteries have always had the necessary grit to power the drill and saws.
Prices have fallen considerably on these since they launched at the start of 2013 and as at July 2013 are down to under 65 inc delivery. That is within a few pounds of where the 3.0Ah versions were selling for last year – though they are available for less now – and to my mind makes these good value.
It is worth totalling up the cost of two batteries, a charger, case and new power tool if you are looking for more than just a battery as sometimes the kits can work out as good value.
I have yet to have any Bosch 18v battery fail on me and I have no hesitation in recommending these over the 3.0Ah version.
