    Great tool for DIY
Bought this to help in renovating our home. Tool is not too heavy and Mum and I could use it for a day without needing it to be charged again, and even then we could just swap out the battery.
    Great asset for DIY!

A super drill, small, yet powerful with 2 long lasting batteries
I replaced my old rechargable drill when the battery was not holding any charge and I could’nt find a repalcement battery for it. This drill has been amazing. very compact, with 2 batteries. I have used the drill on a number of projects from fixing fences to kitchen shelves, to fitting PVC soffits, and the first battery still is not empty! Amazing!

Whether I’m drilling into wood, metal, or using it for impact applications, this drill delivers outstanding performance.

Does exactly what it’s supposed to. I could have bought a cheaper combi drill for my needs but buy cheap buy twice. Bosch are an excellent make and I know it will last. Battery charge is great, I’ve done numerous lengthy jobs and haven’t had to recharge the battery yet. All in all a really good combi drill.

A small drill to fall for.
This small/light drill has a lot of power to tackle most jobs with ease. A joy to use.

It would have been nice to get the 2.5 ah battery instead of the 1.5 ah battery supplied.
Also a pack of srew driver bits instead of one double ended bit.

Toughness. It can do any task!

I would highly recommend this Bosch drill for anyone! It’s a staple item for your home.

Lovely points: the LED arrow that lights up on top pointing which way the drill will go.
The wee light on the base to see if low light

The battery pack battery level indicator is good to know when your running low. Or full.

    Battery charges super quick!

What a superb little drill. Battery life is incredible comes with a very sturdy carry case this will perform as good as a Ryobi it can drill through concrete with the hammerhead function it’s a super little drill I got it on offer about 60 seven pounds ish and I’ve used it no end of time since I think if you probably work in trade then you probably will look elsewhere but for home use for drilling through concrete posts which is pretty hard going at get this drill plus also I registered with Bosch and got three years warranty and they had an offer on providing an additional free battery which is just incredible isn’t it really because that’s what you’re paying for plus the battery can be used in other Bosch products so just go for this drill you will not be disappointed

This is the 2nd one of these drills that ive bought. The 1st one was got almost 5 years ago and still going well. Im puting in a new kitchen so needed a 2nd drill so i dont need to keep changing from screwdriver bit to drill bit. Ive had all makes in the past like Dewalt, lidl but bosch drill are not as heavy but still powerfull enough for most jobs. The batteries from my old drill are a different shape but they still fit with the same type of connection. I Alway buy stuff like this in the sales and believe it or not, but the price hasn’t gone up in 5 years. Amazon usually do a Bocth promotion a few times a year.

I bought this to replace my previous Bosh combi drill which i had had for abiut 14 year, if i get the same life from this one i will be more than happy, i would highly recommend this product,
However, the reason i only gave 4 stars was because of the storage box supplied with the drill, it is way to big and could have been made smaller, my previous drill had a much bigger battery charger with 2 batteries but the case was only the size of this new one,

I hope the life of the batterie’s lasts better than my old Bosch drills. I’m only a diy user so the drill is not used every day. And when you have a job to do thank god there are 2 batteries for one was on the drill and the other on the charger, till eventually one battery wouldn’t last a day. So time will tell.

    Perfect DIY drill
Bosch quality build and performance. Batteries already charged. Sturdy case too.
Handled numerous drilling jobs (brick, plaster, wood and one metal support) around the new house with ease without needing to charge or use second battery.
The driver function is quite strong and I generally use my Bosch ixo for that aspect.
    Overall I love it.

Bought this to supplement a mains powered drill as I was building a large gazebo and log cabin. Not as much power as the mains machine but more than adequate for all that I needed including drilling into concrete. Not being tethered by a power lead made life so much easier. The batteries have a good working life and as long as the used one is put on charge when swapped never caused a problem.
A few pointless things such as the direction light that I ignore. However, the best bit is the chuck – why has it taken so long to develop such an easy to use chuck.

I looked for ages before purchasing this drill. I wanted something good enough to do most of the jobs around the house and garden. Drilling and a decent screwdriver. And this looked like it would do the job. Its really light, the screwdriver function is really good and easy to adjust. Only small issue is the screwdriver bit does sometimes come loose, but its really easy to tighten up. So far I have installed a loft ladder and put down loft boards and it hasn’t missed a beat. The battery capacity is also very good with the new battery its still showing all three light on battery level after that. Yet to do some masonry drilling so will update this when I do. So far love it.

I bought this Bosch drill/driver to replace a Ryobi whose batteries had failed but had lasted many years. Only comparing this to the Ryobi as I haven’t had other makes of battery powered drill/drivers.
    Positives:
    1. LED work light is a fantastic feature which I didn’t have before
    2. comes with two batteries which is a bonus
    3. light in weight
    4. Price compared to other brands, although I have just seen it reduced in price from 87 which was slightly annoying

    Negatives:
    1. Small chuck (only takes up to 10mm diameter drills)
    2. Chuck grip (drills seem to slip after a while)
    3. Less power/torque than previous Ryobi drill as it had difficulty undoing screws that I had put in with the Ryobi. I haven’t used it in masonry mode yet.

I am not a contractor just a home owner. But since getting the Cordless Hammer Drill I have been amazed at how often I have use it. Every house hold should have one. it puts screws in, and takes them out in a jiffy. I wish I have gotten one years ago. I bought a couple of the little ones and was so underwhelmed with them that I was not going to risk the extra cash on a bigger one. fortunately I had the chance to borrow one when putting up a metal garden shed. the type that has hundreds of little screws. It took an evening to dismantle and two evenings to reassemble all with out needing a charge. Plus I think at my age a hand held screwdriver would have crippled my hands. Well worth it.

    Good all round drill
I have 2 of these green Bosch drills, one for drilling and a second one for screw driving, saves changing drill bits especially when up a ladder. This one is a third drill, a present for my son in his new house. Had them for several years and I’m old school,so if I payed for three of them they will more than suffice for DIYers. Light weight, build in LED, keyless chuck and pack reasonable power. Could perhaps encompass a magnetic pad for screws and a spirit level, but then I’m a perfectionist.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersPerfect for home DIY/IKEA/Armature jobs
I’ve been looking for a cordless drill/screwdriver for a while now and having used cheaper options that friends have owned which have been fine but dont give a sense of longevity.

I have so far used this to put up a 4m wide IKEA wardrobe and in doing so have used both the torque screwdriver and wood drilling as well. The lowest screwdriver torque setting is excellent as it stops well before doing any damage or even fully screwing in a screw into wood. This allows you to increase the torque using the twisting barrel to higher digits.

The wood drilling i had to do was really good as well and the variable speed is easy to use via the trigger and gives you confidence in the task you’re doing.

Happily recommend this and i also bought a makita bit set containing both long screw bits along with mix of drill bits for circa 18.

I have 2 old Bosch 24v drills whose batteries gave up and died recently. I have replaced the batteries but in case the motors are at the end of their long lives I decided to buy replacements. I wasn’t able to find what I wanted in 24v so decided to try the 18v. I always run two or more drills together on jobs where I need to use more than one bit. The drills have pretty much the same functionality as the 24v except they have screwdriver settings as well and seem pretty good in terms of power. They are incredibly light in Comparison to the older drill (advances in technology I guess) which is a bonus. Coming with 2 batteries and a reduced price these represent incredibly good value for money. Well up to standard. If they last half as long as the 24v they will prove to easily justify the price

Magnificent piece of kit. Tried it today, tore through wood and brick work with ease, and great control for screwing in screws using variable speed and clutch settings, and it’s two speeds. Really couldn’t imagine needing more in a drill.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersWorks well enough within its limits; useless on brick and concrete
EDIT: I’ve revised this to 4 stars. I think I was a bit too harsh. Yes, it’s still no good for brick, concrete or even hard wood. Since my original review below, I’ve been using it to hang an internal door, fit door handles and other carpentry tasks and it has done an admiral job for those tasks. Just get a rotary hammer as well if you need to drill brick and concrete.

When I first received this combi drill, I loved it! Problem was, I had never truly tested it.

It’s pretty good for assembling flat pack furniture. (Note that you would probably need to buy more accessories such as hex bits.) The plastic carry case is also surprisingly useful.

I also managed to use it to hang a towel rail in the bathroom. (Though this kit doesn’t come with drill bits – I had to buy those too.) This drill made nice neat holes in the grout.

The battery seemed endless for those kinds of tasks. You could assemble a whole houseful of flat pack furniture on one battery. I questioned whether I really needed two batteries.

Fast forward 3 years and now I have some real DIY tasks… and this drill didn’t fair so well.

First, I tried to drill some 16mm holes in wood to fit a mortice bolt. Drilling into a solid oak door with a flat wood bit got me nowhere. A couple of turns into the door, and it was clear there wasn’t enough torque. I had to resort to a 25 year old corded Bosch drill which struggled but eventually powered through. This drill did manage to drill a 16mm hole in the pine door frame. So I guess you can drill 16mm holes as long as it is softwood.

Then I tried to top fix some blinds. Unfortunately, my windows have concrete lintels. There’s no chance this drill can get through that. (To be fair, even the old corded Bosch didn’t make progress there.)

    So, what it couldn’t do:
    – 16mm hole in oak
    – any hole (not even 3mm) in concrete

    What is good about it:
    – nice carry case
    – great as a screwdriver (as long as there is enough space)
    – can drill 16mm holes in softwood
    – can drill into walls, as long as it’s not concrete

So on hindsight, I wonder whether I would have been better off just getting a 12V drill driver and a separate SDS rotary hammer. A 12V drill driver should be more than sufficient for flatpack furniture and they are more compact. The SDS rotary hammer would be used for drilling into brick and concrete.

The only downside is that very occasionally the chuck becomes loose and the drill or driver bit falls out, otherwise this is a really good drill. well worth the cost.

Absolutely brilliant! Can't believe the negative reviews!
I don’t write a review until I have used the item for a good while! I have had this drill over a year and it is great! Some say it won’t drill in to masonry! I don’t know what you are doing, as my one does and I can’t believe how long it goes without charge! I have used this for days on end without needing to recharge it! Masonry is no problem at all for my drill, perhaps some have been unlucky!
    Great piece of kit!!

I take off one star as feel battery power on whole Bosch range is not as good as could be. If it says 40 mins running its more like 25. But product is well made , light and works well.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAlmost amazing
It’s almost amazing. Definitely a solid piece of kit for most jobs around the house but struggles with serious work.

We converted a garage into a playroom and used this for most of it but it struggled with drilling into steel and pushing self tapping screws into some (to be fair very) dense timber. For that, we needed a DeWalt.

Also, strangely, the previous model had a 3 light indicator for battery level while this one has no such thing. Which is a massive step backwards. Knowing when you needed to recharge is a Good Thing.

So. Yah. Hanging pictures or shelves? Perfect. Drilling steel? Look elsewhere.

Brilliant! So easy to use & great battery life/power!
Wow! So impressed with this. First things first, I’m a 30-something female who has neither owned nor operated any drill (cordless or electric) before. I had some fence panels that needed put up & after being quoted a stupid amount by tradesmen thought I might as well buy a drill & give it a bash myself. The fact I was able to not only operate this but do it successfully and actually find the whole thing quite therapeutic was just amazing. I had 82 fence panels/slats to put up with multiple screws each and the first battery is still 2/3rds charged! I am now keen to see what other uses I can put this too & honestly can’t recommend enough. I’m a novice, yes, but hoping this review will help someone in my situation!

    So Useful
I wish I’d got this years ago, as screwing and unscrewing is so simple and quick that it would have made things so much quicker and less painful over the years. Having a spare battery is really useful, saving you having to wait to recharge when the first one runs out. The light seems like a gimmick, but other than that, I can’t fault this drill at all. I bought this specifically to put up decking and its support and never had any problem whatsoever.

Very good drill/screwing machine for DIY. It has an extra battery. I wish the box had extra set of drill bits. The light at the bottom of the handle is very smartly placed and very useful. Should have bought this long time ago…very handy.

The drill comes in a sturdy case which should hold 2 batteries. The lid cannot lock with a 2nd battery in. Battery life is good and easy to charge. Chuck slips from time to time, if you need one that doesn’t slip at all, would recommend the professional range.

More than pleased with this product… Seems well made… Over my previous Bosch battery drill it is more compact and feels ‘well balanced’ in use… Not sure it will be up to heavy duty use but more than capable of dealing with my DIY needs…

Excellent drill - amazing how much better modern batteries are!
Had a 10 year old version of this and the batteries are long gone. Got this as a replacement and it is brilliant. It almost acts as an impact driver on screwdriver mode (assume not as powerful as an actual impact driver) which is great for what I need it for. Battery lasts ages and as it came with two, I am never short. Got this on a deal; v happy with what I paid in the end.

If the drill keeps slipping and not spinning, ensure the top selector is fully engaged – it does have a habit of getting knocked and sitting between the two modes.

Nice lightweight drill for "weakling" female !!
After my previous drill packed up I bought this as having 2 batteries and a good deal on a prime day. Am really impressed so far and battery life seems ok but not fully tested it out yet. Certainly poweful enough and a lot lighter than my od one. I like the one for all battery so can buy other items in the range that use te same battery so when I need to will definitely consider Bosch for other items in this range. Very pleased so far.

    Good drill for all jobs
Some people left comments on it would not drill masonry that is not true I use it for wood and masonry and don’t have any problems forget how to drill brick with a electric drill this is a battery so drill and pull out slightly then reapply pressure plus make sure your drill bits are in good working order and if you use it alot invest in extra batteries

Replaced a very old Bosh drill this was much lighter to hold and gave enough power. The light while screwing in screws was very handy.

    Good investme
Good weight, great battery life and the second battery is really useful. I bought this with the reciprocating saw which didn’t come with a battery or charger and both did me well for a 3m x 5m decking project. Would recommend

Not actually used “in anger” yet but charged up and tested functions.
Quality feels so much better than what it’s replaced.
    Minor comments..
There is a 3 light thing on the charger, reading instructions dont know what it does or means. Didnt light up. Charging/charged is clear and power left is indicated on drill when using which is great. 2 batteries is also great.

In case, there is space for drill with battery and cor spare battery (and charger). There is slot to have 2nd battery stored off the drill but its very very tight.

    Niggles. Happy with purchase

Bought this on prime day to replace my old DeWalt, which sadly the batteries had died and it was more cost effective to replace the drill than buy the batteries (so much for the environment)
Decent bit of kit, good quality for home DIY, not sure it would be good enough for commercial use as the batteries drain fairly quickly, but it comes with two so good enough for me. Recommended.

I have only used it once I found it nice and light and easy to use so only time will tell
There’s nothing I don’t dislike about the drill, I have only just started to use it, so I don’t know anything about the battery life, so it’s unfair for me to comment on it, I have a Bosch cordless screwdriver I’ve had for a couple years and have had no problems with it so if my Bosch drill tunes out to be the same then yes I’m a hundred percent happy.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSize isn’t everything
I bought this because the battery pack on a 25 year old Bosch drill finally gave out and wouldn’t hold charge. I could have got a replacement battery, but it was 12v and NiCad based so things have moved on since. I went for this 18v Li-Ion drill instead. When it arrived I was a bit surprised as it was about 2/3 the size of my old drill and looked more like a toy. Happy to report that it works fine and is much more capable than it looks. Job I got it for was drilling 20 big holes in a tree stump to help with the rotting process. It did this fine. Having a spare battery included will be helpful, especially as the same kind of battery also fits our hedge trimmer so we now have 3 interchangeable batteries. So don’t be put off by the small physical form – this drill seems perfectly capable. It’s not a heavy duty heavyweight professional tool for continuous commercial use but looks fine to me for general domestic use. The 3 year warranty seems like a vote of confidence from the manufacturer too.

    Good all-rounde
Bought to replace a 30+ year old Black and Decker corded drill. Cordless excellent for outside jobs. So far used for a couple of small jobs with masonry drilling and screwdrivering and been excellent. Do well if it’s as reliable as my old B&D! Not had long enough to review battery life

Just the job for those D I Y jobs round the house not powerful enough for work purposes but batteries seem to last and the screw driver mode made short work of a fence I was installing and saved my arthritic wrists from what would have been a painful night.

    Really pleased with this produc
I finally had to replace my old drill after many years of service and decided on this model. I have not been disappointed! It is light weight and plenty powerful enough for most jobs around the home. The batteries last for ages without needing to be recharged. Batteries recharge quickly. It feels and looks like a good quality product and would certainly recommend for the home DIYer.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGreat little machine
Light weight and very easy to handle, powers screws into wood no problem. The bit is easy to tighten on to drills but slightly smaller then some machine. Done lots of jobs with battery charged as delivered, why have I given 4 Stars battery is different to other Bosch batteries fitted to garden machines from Bosch.
