It is lightweight but sturdy and sliced through the hedge in no time at all. A real pleasure to use. A very tried and tested brand name that I go for first as they have always been reliable.

The build quality is excellent but what can you expect from Bosch. Strong, sturdy and powerful!

I bought two of these, one for parents and one for myself. It’s brilliant, easy to use and cuts through branches really easily

I bought this a few months ago but have only just used it. It trimmed brilliantly in no time at all, was easy to hold and has a safety feature to prevent accidents. Would highly recommend this Bosch hedge trimmer.

Only used once on 2 large shrub /hedges, dealt with them no problem . I’m not sure they are for smaller shrubs could be to robust. Happy so far well see how long it lasts

I have had this product before so I knew it was what I needed. It suits my needs with a small garden and a few shrubs but would be capable of much more if needed.

Should have got one some time ago.
Nice to handle, not to heavy even for women to use. I believe in Bosch appliances, a good make

Good enough for small bushes and hedges. Not built for tree branches, but for keeping the garden trim, it does the job well

After two uses of the hedge cutter I am satisfied with the performance and safety of this product. It is sturdy and cuts tougher branches. It is not too difficult to use with the effective safety features. Noise level is acceptable/low. Weight is tolerable and not confining for ground level use.

My battery powered trimmer just couldn’t cope with my hedge. It would constantly get jammed and then the battery would die. It didn’t have enough power. Plugged this in and within a couple of minutes the job was done and the blades didn’t get jammed.

Though I previously had a battery cutter it was always annoying to find I hadn’t charged it up enough when I wanted to use it. I was a bit wary of using a corded one but it has turned out to be very reliable, lightweight and safe if you following the instructions.

Does what it needs to.. only comment is that the lead could do with being a bit longer. Not ideal having to use an extension lead. Otherwise all good.

Really nice and lightweight and easy to move around with. The blades are sharp and trim some fairly robust hedging stems. Would recommend.

I bought this to trim a very large bush (with thorny branches0, it was ready for action from the box.

It worked like a dream, doing the complete job in 15 minutes, that used to take 90mins by hand.

When you’ve bought this consider where the controls on your old one were/are and where the controls on this one are. I picked the trimmer up sometimes by the blade because the only available places were where the switches are.

I have to say I am very happy with my new Bosch hedge trimmers, went through my privet hedge with ease, not quite as heavy as my old ones but more powerful, very sharp blade like a hot knife through butter. I would definitely recommend these hedge trimmers.

So much better than my old Flymo trimmer.
This Bosh trimmer made light work of my hedge and cut through the thicker branches with a bit more effort, but it got through it all the same without stopping.

Nice and easy to use. I’ve got huge boarders all around the house and I’m constantly working the gardens so the weight needed to be light and this worked well. Full time job gardening.

This was purchased to replace a similar model of Bosch that had broken. It is easy to use, very efficient and I highly recommend this hedge cutter. Competitive price.

I think this is the best hedge trimmer money can buy. I went with the reviews and wasn’t dissapointed. Don’t expect to cut trees as this is a hedge trimmer, not tree cutter (some people with low IQ have complained here that the blade snapped or their lead snapped – obviously cutting the lead themselves).

I choose this on the basis of weight but was a bit concerned that it had a relatively short blade. Actually in use – because of its lightness the reach is better than a heavier one with longer blades. Coupled with Bosch reputation I would definitely recommend.

Purchased for my widowed Mother to use as she was struggling with an older hedge cutter. Although hedge cutting is a thankless task she manages to do the job nicely with this cutter. It is quite lightweight and cuts into the leylandii hedge with relative ease.

This tool is a joy to use ! Far better than my previous hedge cutter (which was very old). It’s light and easy to use – everything you’d expect from Bosch except for the price. Outstanding tool and great value for money.

Everything is right about this. My pole hedge trimmer was so heavy that it’s not getting much use. This works even in a big garden because I can do do a bit of work every few days and it copes perfectly. It’s a perfect length to manoeuvre in tight spots, it’s light but sturdy, and cuts very well. Super purchase.

This is a lovely trimmer, with all the features that I would wish for. I have tested it with our privet and box hedges and it breezes through them. I found the trimmer a joy to handle and control. Bosch make a big deal about the noise level, but there is no guarantee of the noise that you will make when you are cutting. It does seem to be quieter, but I prefer to wear ear protection anyway.

The trimmer has a 10m power cord, which is fairly standard for this type of trimmer. Combined with a modest extension lead it will suffice for most domestic gardens.

The obvious negative is the relatively high price. I do prefer this trimmer to those that I have used in the past, so if you can afford it then I do recommend it.

This does what it says on the tin. BUT a corded trimmer always has problems with cable management. If I were cutting hedges all the time instead of once a year I would always favour cordless. As it is, I plan the cable routes very carefully.

I was looking for corded hedge trimmers as I had previously had cordless and found them heavy. These are reasonably lightweight and seemed to be well recommended by others. As long as you look out for the cord they are fine for use in a small garden.

Never used one before. Relieved to see even someone as tiny as me can handle it. Won’t help with stumps and branches, but great with offshoots. Great that you need to keep both red buttons pressed for it to work. Nice, large handle. Decent size cable.

At a reasonable price, this machine does it’s job with the minimum of pain. Blade is long enough to work quickly, but not so long as to be unwieldy. Not too much vibration, and not too heavy. As it is a Bosch I would expect it to last well, but early days for that. You have to use two hands to work it, so safe against cutting stray fingers off, and the cable colour contrasts well with the hedge. It was delivered just in it’s flimsy original box, with a label stuck on, but nothing was lost or damaged. Sadly it doesn’t stop my hedge from growing, though, so nearly time for a second outing!

I re-ordered this as I went through the wire on the last one!!! survived to tell the tale and didn’t realise it has a safety feature that covers that issue!!! lightweight as I’m a woman and strong enough to go through fairly thick branches, happy with the purchase once again.

Never used a hedge trimmer before. Plug in, switch on, slice away, ten minutes later lovely tidy hedge. Does an excellent job. The longer blade may have helped on the top, but the shorter one (this one) is probably easier to manoeuvre on the sides. Really pleased with it – vaguely considering turning pro if hedge clipping is this easy!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhat a bargain…top product by a top brand. I ordered this and it came a day early, very sturdy and powerful, and I had no idea that it could make such short work of virtually anything it touches. It comes with a sheath protective cover for when not in use and also has a safety grip that must be compressed before you can start the trimmer with its trigger. Surprisingly quiet for such a powerful beast and has made the garden so much easier to manage…I highly recommend this as it has so many uses apart from cutting the hedges…I use it on grass I cant get my mower around, thick weeds, and my bloody neighbours overhanging tree.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBrambles are scared stiff of this. After a few cuts I could see it shrink back in fear. Hahaha I smirked! Take that and that! Gone was its confident spikey attitude. Nowhere to go but down! It new it was done – cut and dry! Those darned brambles had sat there for years with me cowering. Well near enough. It would not tackle the very thick woody branches but all else gave in quite easily.

For the money this is great value.

I have had this hedge cutter around nine months and the only bad thing I can say about it, is the power cord is too short . I have a tiny garden and I have to use a extension power lead which is very annoying, I did not have to do this with my Flymo hedge cutter. However, it is a very good product and I hope it last longer than my flymo, which lasted 8 long years until I dropped it and it stopped working! Very happy with this purchase even though it is cheaper than the price I paid last year.

I had a very similar model to this which lasted over 10 years of infrequent use and finally gave up the ghost probably due to a bit of mistreatment by me. So I bought this off amazon. It’s perfectly fine for a large/medium sized urban garden. We have lots of quite mature shrubs/bushes as well, of course, as a hedge. Cuts them fine. The only thing I did, as soon as it came, was to attach the old power cord onto the new one to make it longer…as my garden is long. you can obviously use an extension lead. So it cuts hedges and it’s made by bosch…Bosch hedgecutter; does the job

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersUsed this today for the first time and it worked wonders on a large Leylandii that was growing sideways (having been topped) and assaulting me everytime i went into the garden. It’s now nice and neat 🙂 Be warned though that these are powerful enough to cut through a metal chain link fence, as i found out accidentally, so be careful with it. Tomorrow it will be used to attack the mass of brambles i’ve spotted attempting to invade my garden. I would recommend this to anyone who knows what they’re doing with a hedgetrimmer 🙂

OK so “A cut above the rest” is a bit of a corny title. It has to be said its true. This Bosch Hedge cutter is just great and I find it hard to criticize its design or capability to do the job it was intended for. I have never owned a electric cutter before, thought I could make a much nicer job of trimming the few bushes I have in my garden. Its fairly light to handle, cuts with ease and used with care very safe. I nearly purchased a much inferior make and even looked at 2nd hand, but with Amazons amazing deals buying new was only a few pounds more. I Would recommend this cutter as I would be surprised if you could get any better results by paying more. A few reviews comment the cable is to short but I found this not to be a problem when using a extension reel. Don’t wait 18 years like me to buy one, buy with Bosch confidence today.
