This board is lovely and tall, even my 6ft4 son doesn’t get backache (when he does any ironing!!!) It’s well padded, really sturdy and I actually might start enjoying ironing now – or maybe not that extreme x
Well made, solid, stable, not too heavy and safe.
The legs clip securely into the board when collapsed, so no sudden decision to hurtle across the kitchen like my previous board as it suddenly decided to imitate an unbroken horse!
The ratchet mechanism to adjust height is easy to control and therefore quiet.
The stand section is big enough for a steam base unit, though there is a hose sized gap between it and the board proper this is not big enough to cause problems.
It could be better packed – it arrived just in plastic film with no protection from bumps and scrapes in transit.

I like to iron sheets and duvets and so size does matter.

I have never had problems with puddles on the floor because I use a standard steam iron which does the job well. I don’t think puddles on the floor can be the fault of the ironing board but must be from badly leaking irons, however this is just my thoughts on it. At the same time my husband, who is six foot tall can easily set it up for his standing height too. Ironing surface quite generous with a nice design and the padding is thick and creaseless – feels premium (but I guess you do pay for this..)
I wish it had a lead holder like I’ve seen on other models.

Much better than its predecessor, doesn’t wobble, folds up nicely, nice thick cover, looks quite cool. Not the cheapest but worth the extra in my opinion.

When her big day arrived I told her to close her eyes. I had wrapped it as best I could to disguise it but I think she guessed, I could tell by the way she burst into tears instantly she was as happy as I was.
all in all it has done everything you would expect an ironing board to do!
My other half was a bit dubious about this purchase given the price compared to other ironing boards on the market. But to all those concerned with the price, you do pay for quality, and this is one of the best ironing boards you can buy. Also it is significantly cheaper than the RRP on Amazon which is brilliant.
It is sturdy and doesn’t wobble around. It also doesn’t feel flimsy compared to other ironing boards. It is heavy but this is a reflection of the high quality of the product.
I would definitely recommend paying a bit more for your ironing board and purchasing a Brabantia.
This arrived unexpectedly quickly, which was useful as my old one had met with an accident and was unusable. The ironing board is a bit lighter than my old one (of the same brand), which is handy for carrying it about but does make it a bit unstable. I like the way it has a number of options to adjust the height, although the lever to do this isn’t as convenient as the old one. But for the price it is excellent, and if you’re looking for a lower price range ironing board this one is fine.
I love it! I was searching for how long for sth decent. I tottaly love the style, one thing that makse me happy when I am irroning!! It’s steardy a lot. I realised that if you want really good product you cannot pay less and make compromises as I wanted sth for 15-20 pounds. Well, at least now I know what I gave 40 for and totally worth it!!!! Will order again and will recommend to all my frineds if they are in need. Once again, love the style on tip, gives me so much inspiration maybe cuz I am animator and acually I am ironing with pleasure!!!!!
I love this new Brabantia iron board to replace my old wooden one, it’s much lighter and easy to fold with clips to hold the legs in place when folded. At maximum hight it’s really high too. The only down side to it with it being a metal mesh board under the cover, when you’re using steam on the iron, it’s get condensation on and drips on the floor. Not the end of the world but irritating on wooden floors.
I’d like to say I purchased this for my wife but really I purchased it for the both of us. Yes I am a man who can iron clothes. Admittedly I iron my shirts but prefer ironing the uncomplicated bedding which this ironuing board makes much easier because it is much wider than your average ironing board.
The height adjustment is brilliant too so I can have it higher than other boards which helps me being 6′ 2″.
Although a little more expensive it is money well spent as the board is much sturdier than all the cheaper boards we have had in the past and which, now looking back, were such a false economy and made the ironing more awkward than it need to have been. The end shelf which holds the iron is very big but that’s because it will hold one of those steam iron reservoir things so plenty of room for our standard sized iron.
The ironing board surface is firm and spacious so all round a very good buy.
We use a steam generator and the sheer weight of it is just too much for the Minky board we owned, This board is very stable and the generator appears to make no impact at all when resting on the amply sized plate at the end. The board has seven height settings and you would have to be very tall indeed to use the highest one. I’m 5’10” and I used position 5. I also liked the fact that the legs clip to the bottom of the board when folded. I’m told by my wife that the extra width is also good but I haven’t figured out why yet.
Arrived all sealed and packed up and my husband remarked …that is a huge ironing board! So his trousers will definately all fit on!!! I must admit to laughing when I put it up …as I am 5ft 7″ the board came to my shoulders …but it does lever down to whatever height. The ironboard is heavy and very strong and solid. For an ironboard …this is the creme de la creme !!!

It is an item that lends itself to Internet shopping because doorstep delivery avoided an awkward walk through town. It comes wrapped in sellophane without bulky packaging avoiding a struggle with a massive box.
I’m so p,eased with it I briefly considered buying one for my sister for Christmas … She’d appreciate the board but maybe not such a mundane pressent!
The only snag is that it doesn’t get low enough to use seated on the sofa, where I like to do my ironing. The packging was also flimsy and torn on arrival, so there was almost no protection from damage in transit. I bet this has caused problems!
Eventually got around to disposing of my very old ironing board after 30 years. This one is a bit bigger than my old one but probably normal size for the newer boards. Works well and the iron rest can be adjusted for left or right hand. The cover is secure and doesn’t slip like the old one tended to do. I’ve now got the hang of setting up and taking it down after a few attempts.
Looks very good and strong but turned out to be to big and heavy so ireturned it. I would have kept it if I had more space but i have a small speace and wont be able to keep it open so, with such heavey weight, i thought it better to return it ang go for a maller and lighter one.
It looks like a very good quality and very stable ironing board. Shame I had to return it.
My work colleagues think me crazy for spending so much money, but I ask you this, is it crazy to want to invest in something that can make your life easier? I say nay! They are the crazy ones. Buy this board, it will make you a better person.
I didn’t even realize ironing boards came in actual sizes, I just thought it was one size!
This is a “small” ironing board but we actually prefer it for ironing clothes, it’s not much smaller than our old board but it’s big enough to iron shirts n trousers, etc easily. The one thing I don’t like is the pattern.. the bubbles can look like big stains when you’re ironing a white shirt for instance. I know I can get a new cover but it’s just an unnecessary “design”.

Like all old-timers, I prefer lightweight tools but stability is just as important & I feel very safe with this model. If you keep the ironing board not too far from where you regularly do your ironing, then don’t let the other comments about its weight put you off. And because the legs are locked, I can walk the folded board from the cupboard across the kitchen. All those height settings & wide ironing surface are a bonus too.
Firstly, I like the shape, because it allows me to get to all the right corners. Secondly, it’s not wobbly, therefore I don’t need be as slow and careful when putting the iron to rest on the board, while I’m turning my shirts. Thirdly, the cover is thick and firm and the top is even therefore I don’t get the check pattern from the metal base.
It’s very sturdy as well and the cover snugs the board perfectly. It arrived well packed.
I love the adjustable height of this board – i’m 5ft 6 and I actually couldn’t use the highest level so if you’re taller than me..this is the one for you. Lovely strong and quite light to carry around too. I needed a new ironing board as i have a steam machine and water was dripping through my old one. After reading the reviews i decided to purchase this one , i am so glad i did !
Lovely big ironing surface with a stand for my machine so it doesnt take up space on the board , a soft cover that seems to hold the garments in place making ironing a breeze
Some reviews say it is heavy but i didnt find it too bad, it is a bit bulky but a small price to pay for such a great sturdy product

Really pleased with the ironing board and cover. Sturdy board and cover does exactly what it says – no water leaking through it. I use a steam generator iron and decided to spend a bit more to get a more expensive ironing board from Brabantia (I have one of their kitchen bins so been pleased with this make) and buy a PerfectFlow Cover. Highly recommended. I did have problems ordering these items from Easihome – item did not arrive within estimated delivery dates so I contacted them via email. They had no record of my order so sent item out by express delivery. Good customer service from them after they were aware of the problems I had.
It is wider which as someone mentioned, makes it harder to iron slim fit womens t-shirts. I get around this just by placing them flat on the board rather than over the tip of the board. And of course the advantage of this is that with men shirts etc, you don’t have to move them around so much.

This board is lightweight yet strong. The fabric does not give off an unpleasant smell as many others do, It is a good sized table, folds away nicely and has the iron stand which is useful. The two drawbacks for me are the overall length (including the iron stand). In a small kitchen it’s a bit too long and the iron stand is not detatchable. The other thing is the child lock which requires quite a yank to release it…the first time I did this I was standing in the wrong place and dealt myself a sharp blow on the head as it suddenly released! Overall, though, I like it and would recommend i
4 stars only because it’s a bit pricey compared to average ironing boards, but I like the extra width/ length & adjustable height and especially the extra size area for my new steam generator (which would be far too big to sit on a normal sized ironing board). Seems to be very well made too, like most Brabantia products; I have quite a number of Brabantia products which I find are usually made with more thought put in to them & often very stylish (not that you could call an ironing board stylish!). Very stable too.
This arrived with the cover with a few wrinkles in it and, when erected, seemed a little unsteady on its feet – quite light compared to my previous board – I was also wary of others who had purchased the board only to find it wobbled. But … after ironing out the creases and actually doing some ironing (only shirts thus far), it felt stable and a lovely surface to iron on. It is easy to position at the height to suit you and the iron rest was great – better than leaving just flat as I had with my previous board. It didn’t make me suddenly love ironing but it did make it a more pleasant experience!
This easily takes the weight of our steam generating iron and because of the large surface area it cuts down the time required to iron things significantly.
Our cleaner, who also does the majority of our ironing really thought it was a decent bit of kit and was dead impressed with it. If I need to iron a shirt in a hurry, this really cuts down on the time and stress of the job.

I bought this to go with a new heavy duty steam generator iron. My old ironing board clearly couldn’t handle the weight of it, so I bought this one.
This however, is a beast. It’s big, and it’s heavy and it can go quite high (but also sits happily at a sensible height). After a few months there’s no signs that the weight of the iron is causing any issues. The board itself is long enough to avoid having to adjust trousers and the likes too,
The only complaint is the cover – sometimes it looks like the items I’m ironing are marked, when it’s only the fake water drops on the cover showing through.
I chose to purchase a more expensive ironing board as I have not been satisfied with cheaper boards purchased from supermarkets in recent years. The first good point was the way in which the legs clipped securely into the underside for safer storage. Secondly, I am delighted with the full height of the board when in use, which enables me to have a much better upright posture for ironing. The board stands firmly in position. The surface/cover is well padded and the size is indicated at the stand end of the cover which saves measuring up to buy future covers. The stand for the steam iron is useful. Very pleased with purchase and would certainly recommend it.
A very nice ironing board. Sturdy – despite others reporting wobbly legs, this stands nice and firm. I was surprised by the length of the ironing board – the measurements given are the length of the ironing area and don’t include the tray for the iron. Not a problem, but just something to watch out for if your storage is limited. The cover looks as if it will last for a good length of time.
Overall very happy. I’ve given it four stars because I wouldn’t call it a bargain but it’s a good investment. If money’s no object, then make this a 5.
I have used this product for several months now and I could not be without it..
The product is well made and is heavy but this increases its stability and there definitely “no wobble” effect during use
When I ordered the product it arrived promptly and was securely encased in plastic wrappings.
My only complaint is that , for me the folding and unfolding handle should be on the other side from where it is fitted but left handed people would probably disagree !! Hence one star deducted. Would strongly recommend this ironing board to others.
The first board delivered was unsatisfactory as it wobbled badly and was so unstable that I sent it back.
This was the first Amazon purchase I’d had a problem with but, I’m pleased to report, it was speedily replaced without any hassle.
I’ve noticed other reviewers report wobbly boards and feel the design could be improved on to eliminate this problem of unpredictable instability….but our replacement is fine and a big improvement on our old board with generous width and length. The iron support and board height adjustment seem to be OK so far so a cautious 4 stars.
It is little bit on a large side to store so think about where you going to put it first but I do like enough space for ironing shirts.Covers thickness is just right.
I am very happy with it.
We have usually had cheaper ironing boards, but bought this one to go with the new Morphy Richards Steam Elite iron. It is very sturdy and strong, but is rather heavy to lift in and out of the room for use. Also the larger board won’t allow trousers to be stretched over it properly and although a large item can be spread on it at once, there is then a walk to fetch the iron each time! If you are short of money, I would probably recommend you to buy a smaller one, although it probably wouldn’t last as long.
My previous ironing board was a wedding present 43 years ago which finally, after sterling service, broke in half over Christmas! Hence I was looking for an equally sturdy and reliable replacement,although this time I required space for my steam generator iron. I realised that I would have to pay a little more for a quality product.
I have to say, I am delighted with the Brabantia board.
Yes it is on the heavy side and therefore not suitable for anyone suffering from arthritis or the very elderly.
However, this for me is outweighed by the generous, well-padded ironing surface and perfectly sized generator
resting station.
I am confident this board will outlast me!!

I bought this surf board as it was huge and I thought a couple of people could fit on it. Imagine my surprise when my wife told me it was something called an ironing board! I’d never even heard of that before. Apparently it’s for smoothing out wrinkles in clothes after something called “laundry”. Anyway, my wife says it’s very heavy and the mechanism to put it up is a bit awkward but will hold something called a steam generator very easily. I think this is something to do with the Victorian Industrial Age but I’m not 100% sure.
I ordered this ironing board on a Sunday morning and it arrived early on the Monday morning just in time to do the ironing. I have given it four stars rather than five because it doesn’t fit in my wardrobe cupboard, being so tall when folded. But then it gives a long enough board to be able to iron trousers in one go. It is very sturdy; a bit difficult to put up and down until you get used to it. It is guaranteed for ten years and will probably outlive me!

Delivery was fast which was needed as are old one was a nightmare to iron on and was driving us mad. Anyway the Good,
– Nice and wide, length good.
– Like the colour of the metal – cream.
– The leg clip to hold the legs is a very nice thing to have and saves your legs getting bashed when moving the board.
– Height adjust is excellent. I have a very bad back and bending is painful but not with this board. I’m 6ft and this board adjusts much higher than my old one, over the moon on that.
The bad
– Quite heavy. Maybe one day they could put wheels on one end, so you could just roll it across the floor and then stand it up.
– Not a bad thing but when I was ironing I kept thinking my clothes had a stain but then I realised it was the water pattern on the cover showing through – funny.

Delivery was fast which was needed as are old one was a nightmare to iron on and was driving us mad. Anyway the Good,
– Nice and wide, length good.
– Like the colour of the metal – cream.
– The leg clip to hold the legs is a very nice thing to have and saves your legs getting bashed when moving the board.
– Height adjust is excellent. I have a very bad back and bending is painful but not with this board. I’m 6ft and this board adjusts much higher than my old one, over the moon on that.
The bad
– Quite heavy. Maybe one day they could put wheels on one end, so you could just roll it across the floor and then stand it up.

For an ironing board Its incredibly sturdy and very well built.
The steam generator holder is strong, large and easily accommodates my Russell Hobbs steam generator with room to spare.
Compared to my previous 8 year old ironing board (which still works fine) this board is many times better especially if you are using a steam generator.
If you use a steam generator but are still using your old ironing board, i would recommend changing.
Ironing is quicker, requiring less repeat movements over the same spot and makes ironing that less of a chore and has a dedicated holder making it safer.
Only issue i found is the sharp end of the board.
I think it would be better if it was curved or more square so that it would fit the collar end of a shirt.
However this could be me not really knowing the art of ironing.
And best price i found was on Amazon.

Many years ago I bought a cheap Ironing Board with the wire mesh and it put me right off this type of ironing board, so I struggled on with a tiny old board.
This Ironing Board is really well made, no wobbly legs as in one other poor review. A good solid mesh top with a nice thick foam cover which I thought may hamper ironing. I was wrong, it actually makes it’s easier. It is fairly heavy. Good height adjustment. It has a large working surface, so hooray, trousers fit on in one go and tops don’t have to be continually moved. I also thought that trouser tops wouldn’t fit over end but the width is just right.
So all in all well done Brabantia. I also got it 10 cheaper than Argos buying on Amazon…

Its easy to put up and easy to take down – I’ve not lost a finger to it yet – or broken a toe.
All in all – it does what its supposed to do and it looks pretty good too.
It is hard to get too excited about an ironing board!!…..but very pleased indeed with this one. It is big and solid, but you need it to be to hold a Steam Unit. No fear of it wobbling around with the weight of the unit, and the holder is plenty big enough to fit it on. I like to have my ironing board high so I dont have to bend over to iron so this one is great for me as the top height setting is higher than any others I’ve had before. My husband on the other hand likes the ironing board to be lower down and so all the other settings are good for him. He has had endless hours of fun doing the ironing since we got a steam unit and this ironing board!!!
The down sides are
The extra length and width make it heavy and difficult to handle and could be difficult to store. These considerations aside It is a very good product.
As with many other reviewers, i dithered about the cost but decided that i wanted something decent that would last a decent amount of time.
It was soooo worth the money. I now can’t believe that i struggled for so long with my ‘old’ flimsy, narrow ironing board that would wobble and rock when attempting to position a large duvet cover or similar.
This one is not only lovely and sturdy, but a decent width which cuts down on re-positioning items and speeds up the whole process.
I find myself showing off my ironing board to friends because i’m so pleased with it – then find myself thinking ‘get a grip’!!
I haven’t had a problem with dripping water or ‘pooling’ as other reviewers have mentioned.
Would thoroughly recommend this ironing table and would consider ‘cheaper’ ones to be a false economy.
