Great ironing board
I wanted a robust wide ironing board suitable for my steam generator iron and that was adjustable. I had bought a much cheaper brand which had to be returned as was wobbly. This met all my criteria and very pleased with my purchase and worth paying the extra. Would recommend

The board arrived damaged in poor packaging
The ironing board itself seems steady and good quality. Of course I read the other reviews before hand and I saw all the customers complaining about the item arriving damaged. One would expect that after paying 75 pounds for the board it would arrive in a nice packaging. As you can see in the photos the board is damaged but I think I might keep it as I need it. To future buyers, know that the item will definitely arrive in poor packaging and probably damaged.

Best ironing board
A very good board from a very good company. Very stable on our kitchen floor. Useful bit on the end for hot iron to rest on. It should last as long as our old board – 30 years plus.

Good strong ironing board for a steam generator, easy to fold and store. Needs to be better packaged to prevent minor damage during delivery.
Brabantia Ironing Board C (Extra Wide) with Steam Control Aqua Bowl. I did a lot of research before purchasing this ironing board and had been reluctant to spend 119 on it but I have not been disappointed. The board is extremely stable and sturdy & a good weight. The Tefal steam iron fits perfectly onto the steam rest unit which creates more space for ironing!You can virtually fit a king size sheet folded in half on the length of the board. No water drips onto the floor as it’s caught in the Aqua Bowl attached to the underside of the board. Only done one ironing session but so far it’s a 5* rating.I would happily recommend this product.

Firm, long, lightweight, good legs
Read reviews about wonky legs which made me unsure about buying. Mine isn’t wonky. It is a sold ironing board which is lightweight for me to manoeuvre. It’s long, it has a good cover which has cut down the ironing time as I think it reflects the heat back into the clothes. Glad I got it.
Brabantia Ironing Board
Easier to close than my previous brabantia which I had had for approximately 11 years. It accommodates my generator iron with ease and it raises to the level as recommended by my G.P. due to a shoulder problem. Ideal for anyone with upper limb problems, easier to carry than my old one.

This ironing board is great!! After a lot of research, I feel I made the right choice. I do alot of ironing for other people so I needed something robust and big for doing king size bedding. It has 7 height settings and the top one is really high so no back ache!! It is quite heavy but I like that as its very sturdy, would only be a problem if you needed to move it around the house. Gets a thumbs up from me 🙂

Top feature: highest setting is 96 cm – good for taller ironers and those who like a higher work surface for tailoring and quilting work etc. Smooth mechanism up and down – no pinching fingers. Steady and balanced on the floor including low pile carpet. I don’t care it’s a bit on the heavy side, I didn’t want a flimsy ironing board. No trouble lifting and moving this about. Here’s to many hours of happy ironing!

I bought this to replace an older large board that had lasted very well. This feels a bit tinny (thin metals) but I think that is to keep it lightweight. When opening it (came just shrink-wrapped) I’m afraid I was not that impressed. For the price, I had expected it to feel better build quality (like my old board). As I say, maybe that compromise was to make it lighter – and this is surprisingly light. A plastic part had come off in transit. Clearly, it should not have been separated as there was no mention in any instructions. It took me a while to work out where it went (which was annoying). Fortunately, it was not broken – it had just come off in transit.
Despite initial impressions, on using it I am quite happy. It comfortably supports a large Tefal steam iron (heavy when the tank is full). With the iron in place, the board feels reasonably sturdy. So having used it a few times, I’m liking it a bit more than I thought I would when it was first unpacked.
Well made Ironing Board
I purchased this as have a Bosch steam generator iron and needed an Iron Board that would provide enough surface area to fit the iron on as well as a sturdy as once the Generator is full is very heavy. This was perfect and has more than enough room as well as a really generous Ironing Surface area making ironing clothes that much easier as not spending all your time repositioning the clothes when ironing. Have to say this is really well made (although it is one of the more expensive Ironing Boards but you get what you pay for) and only paid 72 at time of purchase. Looking a decent well made Iron board look no further.
Missing pa
One of the black protective caps is missing from one of the legs. Please can you send it as this would be easier than returning the ironing board.
New version of the old (slim) model - I preferred the old model.
I iron all my own clothes and when my old board broke (welds failed on the leg join to top section) it was time to retire it and I bought this board a a replacement. This board, like its predecessor was specifically chosen for its narrow width and pointy end (Cover size A) so I can iron my trousers (30″ waist). I like to pull the trouser leg onto the iron so I can iron the top thigh and waist section of trousers. Looking at other ironing boards I guess no-one else bothers to do so.
The board while looking the same as my old one is different in many ways. I found that when folded legs were too wide for it to be put away where the old one was until I discovered that the wider pair of legs was at the blunt end rather than the pointy end so it now does live exactly where the old board lived only standing the other way up! While the old board really was a board (chip board) this one has a metal mesh section. Ironing is ok until you iron a handkerchief (or anyone else small) and you can sink the item into the board a little. I guess with time I’ll get used to applying less pressure. The iron rest is completely different and is welded rather than screwed to the assembly so having saved the rest from my old board I was disappointed I can’t swap it to the new one. I haven’t fathomed how the new one works yet because it can’t be write the face of the iron rests on the black plastic section which will surely melt. I will probably take a photo (using a cold iron) and e-mail Brabantia before I decide to cut it off. So while I’m happy with most aspects of this ironing board I don’t like the new features and if I’d have had a welder I”d repaired my old one and maybe cut a new piece of board or flipped the one to carry on using it.

Nice ironing board at good price. Although the mechanism comes out of its runner fairly easily when unfolding and is a pain to put back in so always have to be careful when opening it up.

This is an excellent ironing board, I was a bit put off at the price but it is well worth the money spent!
It is a strong sturdy ironing board, and it has a great height on it so even if you are over 6 feet tall you should have no problems using this ironing board.
The cover of the ironing board is of top quality and has a number of features to help keep it secure and in place when ironing, so no more cover slipping off whilst you do the ironing!
It is easy to put up and put away once finished with and has clips on the underside to keep the legs secure once stowed away.
All in all this is a great ironing board and well worth the money spent on it.

Best Ironing Table Eve
If you like your ironing table large and strong, then this id the one for you. Brabantia makes quality products and they are backed up by a 10 year guarantee. I’ve downloaded my Amazon invoice as proof of purchase, but hopefully I wont need it.
Great Size
Great size and very sturdy. The only downside is that the platform for standing the iron is made from metal whereas previous models were plastic. The fact it’s metal usually results in it rusting due to the steam from the iron quite quickly. Only time will tell if this is the case though.

This steam control cover is effectively diverting steam to help remove creases and to hold condensed droplets in the core. I have only given four stars for the ‘lightweight’ category but it is sturdy and robust enough to hold a 2.5 litre steam generator iron with complete stability. All in all an excellent product. Pity I didn’t get the one I ordered from Amazon. The board I ordered ‘disappeared’ in transit after leaving the delivery depot. I bought this one from John Lewis. It arrived the next day. Thank you for the refund.

I am privileged to catch this Brabantia Ironing Board at a very low price, I have used similar products in the past. It have lasted a very long time! In fact, when I am looking for any product, I will check Brabantia first, because of their superior quality and long lasting.

Almost perfec
This is generally a really good ironing board with enough height for me (I’m 6’4″). My only criticism is that the cover wrinkled on first use. Maybe it was my ironing style, but having tightened the cover up, it seems to better now. Not completely crease free, but manageable.
Solid and stable board
I wish I hadn’t got a patterned cover as I keep thinking that my clothes have marks on them when I’m ironing. The catch that stops it from accidentally collapsing is quite stiff but I’m assuming it will soften over time. It’s a very large board, bigger than I thought, but all that I need for my ironing.

Very pleased with this product but it was damaged in transit. The flimsy cellophane was ripped and consequently the white metal top on the board was scratched and scuffed, see photo.. I am not returning as it’s just too much trouble. However, a piece of cardboard covering this metal top area would eliminate this happening. Elementary one would have thought. A lot of money to pay for imperfect goods. On a positive note the width of the board is excellent for doing bed linen and a very sturdy item overall.

My previous ironing board kept collapsing and with a steam generator on top this was quite a hazard. This Brabantia seems sturdy and has a nice wide board. The only problem I seem to have had is that there is a gap between the ironing part and the base for the steam generator and the cord from the iron gets trapped between it quite easily.
The other bonus is that it fits in my cupboard when folded up and has a catch to secure.

I ordered this ironing board as the one I was using gave me back ache. Im 6ft tall and at its highest setting its ideal for me. In fact my wife who is 5’8″ also uses it at that height and it takes the stain out of ironing. Being higher and wider it handles King sized sheets well when folded in half. Pointed end great for shirt shoulders. Our Philips steam generator iron fits perfectly into the area provided. I would have given it 5* but although the felt below the ironing surface is adequate after a long ironing session droplets of water form on the metal surfaces below. In time this may cause rusting if the metal hasn’t been adequately treated, only time will tell. I intend to place a further layer of felt on the board to help prevent this happening. Over all like steam iron generators I don’t know how Ive survived this long without a higher better quality ironing board

I bought this item on April 2018, as I moved in a new flat. The delivery was perfectly on time, and the item arrived as expected. It is slightly expensive compared to other boards available online, but it compensates the price with its robustness and balance.
The ironing board is very robust and balanced. The height can be regulated to accommodate different needs. I am around 180 cm tall, and I used the second to last pivot on the board. It can be of course used by both right-handed and left-handed people.
The lateral plastic base can easily support my Philips perfect care steam iron with a 1.5 L of water (around 4-5 Kg in total). I have not experienced any breakage, nor the board seems unstable at some point.
The canvas on the board does not allow the water to flow through and, if wet, it dries out very fast.
The board can be easily folded to be stored anywhere in the house (I store it between the wardrobe and the wall).
My old ironing board was quite small and I always had difficulty getting covers to fit it. This is a really nice board: it isn’t too big either. The cover is well padded and it has a safety lock. I like the iron rest too. It’s a nice looking board and makes ironing more enjoyable. I noticed on some reviews of other ironing boards that they were damaged when delivered. This was due to insufficient packaging. This board arrived in a huge box, with plenty of paper around it. So no damage was done.
Our board was delivered in under 24 hours thanks to Amazon Prime. It was very well wrapped and protected and arrived in seemingly perfect condition. My wife stood it up to check it out, when without warning the top tipped over towards her, IF there had been a hot iron in the rest, it would likely have fallen, and God forbid, burnt her!! Turning the board upside down, I could see that the end of the steel rod that secures the legs to the frame had completely come out of it’s housing on one side. The reason for this, being that the black plastic Child & Transport Lock also serves to keep the “fixed legs” top in position, (Please see my photos of how it should look, one of Amazon’s photos also shows the positioning of this fitting). There is a white painted metal rod that secures the leg top to the board, it is IMPORTANT that it protrudes through it’s holding bars on BOTH SIDES ( it’s because ours came out on one side that our board collapsed). The plastic Child & transport Lock simply clips onto the rod on/near each end and holds it firmly in place. NOTE. It barely took me a minute to position the fitting over the bar, you then need to give it a thump with the side of your fist to secure it at each end as it’s purposely a tight fit, do NOT be tempted into using a hammer!! The ironing board is then 100% safe and I would expect it to last for many years. The only reason we had this problem is because the fitting had not been properly secured when assembled in their factory. (Whatever happened to Quality Control”) I do wonder if this has been the cause of any of the “wobberly legs” that some reviewers have had? Having done this minor fixing job I would now consider this board to be a 5 star rating.

It’s huge! Thank heavens I chose the medium sized board. It is larger than any board I’ve ever had before. It seems to have been designed for left handed people in that the release to lower the board for storage is at the back for right handed use. It is really strong, adjusts to a really good height (up) but unfortunately comes wrapped in cling film only thus the metal steam generator support arrived with scratches. Not worth requesting a replacement since I cannot see how it will travel any better.All in all a great board which reduces ironing time but awkward and needs extra protection for transport.
Solid and heavy. Cover not tight and seems to be adjusted to max tension. Customer service is good at Brabantia. With a powerful steam generator the water collects underneath and drips on floor. This is why this is so cheap compared to other places. It is the older design. The new covers are twice as thick and designed to stop the dripping. It’s nice to use.
I am fan or Barbantia ironing board and the reason is they can even make bad/ Old Iron give outstanding results. As much as I hate Ironing I end up doing most of the ironing at home and I was surprised the difference good ironing board make to time it takes to iron and quality of ironing. Highly recommend. If you have space get one size bigger than size B as it is ideal for adults shirts as well as kids clothes

Strong, solid and stable ironing board
This is the most sturdy ironing board I’ve ever had and it makes ironing so much easier. I have tried so many different irons to try and make the job easier but the secret seems to be to get the right board. The only down side is it is quite heavy and not so easy to fold up and down.
I took a ridiculous amount of time deciding on which new ironing board to buy after my last one broke. I eventually went for this one and it’s fine. It’s a good size, not too big or too small, decent padding and it’s easy to put up and down. It squeezes between my fridge and cupboard out of the way. All good so far.

I love this ironing board, being 5ft 10 I had an ironing board that wasn’t as high and also would collapse on me while I was ironing
This board is lovely and tall, even my 6ft4 son doesn’t get backache (when he does any ironing!!!) It’s well padded, really sturdy and I actually might start enjoying ironing now – or maybe not that extreme x

Superb ironing board – the Brabantia label sold this to me before checking out alternatives, there are alternatives but not in this class!
Well made, solid, stable, not too heavy and safe.
The legs clip securely into the board when collapsed, so no sudden decision to hurtle across the kitchen like my previous board as it suddenly decided to imitate an unbroken horse!
The ratchet mechanism to adjust height is easy to control and therefore quiet.
The stand section is big enough for a steam base unit, though there is a hose sized gap between it and the board proper this is not big enough to cause problems.
It could be better packed – it arrived just in plastic film with no protection from bumps and scrapes in transit.
I know it’s sad when you can get excited about an ironing board, and probably tells me I need to get out more, but this really is the best ironing board I’ve ever owned! It feels incredibly sturdy and well made and the large surface area is fantastic with just the right amount of softness. The legs lock safely into place when it’s closed and it’s not too heavy. I bought it after buying a steam generator iron and deciding I needed the extra space to balance the iron, which it does perfectly. It’s not a cheap board but definitely worth the money.

A reasonably nice item, maybe not the best ever design though. The bit where the iron sits is not the best design and the handle for adjusting the height of the ironing board is a bit stiff. Once up, it is sturdy and works fine.
As much as it is possible to love an ironing board I love this one.
It is large.
I like to iron sheets and duvets and so size does matter.
It is sturdy and holds my steam generator iron firmly and securely.
It is adjustable in height and just has that real quality Brabantia feel to it.
