Good Temperature control - great chrome finish - looks stylish and durable
Replaced a power shower and non-standard pipework that required some plumbing and retiling. Once that was done the shower bar was simple to fit. Instructions are clear. We have high water pressure so there was some adjustment required to ensure the shower temperature was balanced, but very straight forward to achieve. Shower temperature is very consistent and stable. Great looking product.

The listing for this is a bit deceptive as the photos show two different products, so we didn’t actually get the one we were expecting. We couldn’t be bothered to return it though so installed it anyway as the old one we were replacing had a major leak. It was extremely quick and easy to install, even for complete novices like us. It works perfectly so far, hopefully it will last a while.

The quality of the product and design is great and user friendly, but more importantly Bristan customer service is just unbelievable! I unfortunately had a faulty item and although I purchased from Amazon they dealt with me direct, they were courteous and listened to my problem understood why I didn’t want to send it back to Amazon. Basically a lovely lady named Kirsty sorted my problem out within the hour and was going to send a fitter out to fit it but I declined as my wife wanted the shower on asap! They arranged for a new shower unit which came within a day!
All companies could take a lesson from Bristan, the service they offer customers is a offer a no nonsense guarantee, a UK customer service who actually care about their customers.
I would definitely recommend Bristan.

Bought this to replace a cheap unit on my boat. It was very easy to swap over and after a few adjustments had the water at my prefferred temperature. Works extremely well with a low pressure water supply.

Good quality, good price. Easy to fit, well made product. Fitted to replace an earlier, slightly different model. Slight difference in configuration from previous unit as the on/off lever is on the left hand side as opposed to the right hand side, so I get my arm soaked until muscle memory changes its location!

Very easy to install and I’m not a plumber, only thing to remember is to join the hot and cold to the right side otherwise problem will occur which I guess by the poor reviews is the case that it wasn’t plumbed correctly
I have to say Bristan make brilliant shower and bath related products and this bar mixer is no exception. Don’t but cheap bar mixtures from random brands as they can go faulty pretty easily.
My last Bristan bar mixture which was an older Bristan Frenzy model and lasted me about 5 years the only reason I replaced it was due to the temperature control and on/off control on both sides becoming a little tight to rotate.
I know if I applied a little grease grease it would have solved the issue as over time they tighten up due to water falling and getting inside the rotating controllers on the side. Even on then the older Bristan model never leaked and the water temperature was perfect.
The new Bristan model I can see they have improved the controls on both side ls they are smooth to rotate. When I say you can rotate them with 2 fingers even if you have soup on water on your fingers. And the speed of water coming out is allot stronger then the older model even though the older model water flow was fine this is even better.
Highly recommend this product.
Big improveme
The previous one – which was much more expensive – only lasted 3 years, and had become unreliable and drippy. This one seems to work very well indeed, and didn’t take long to install once I’d worked out how to turn off the water in the street.

Only fitted the bar as the pole was too long and I would have to drill new holes. The riser didn’t fit the old pole so had to keep the original.

Correct spanner needed!
Very nice product and I was using it to replace an ancient Grohe thermostatic shower bar. The Grohe has ‘standard’ hex nuts to attach to the outlets – this has two small flats instead – make sure you have a spanner that fits – n.b. adjustable won’t do unless hasnarrow jaws!
Other than that – it is a lovely unit. Works well and gives a nice controlled flow.

After watching a youtube video about installing a mixer bar, I was pleased to find this bar came in a kit without the additional bar for the shower head so it was quite a bit cheaper than I expected.
It was easy to install with 0 plumbing experience and has worked perfectly since then.

Simple to fit for a DIY novice
After attempting to fix the valve in my old leaking Bristan shower bar (and somehow getting it very wrong and having a shower that then wouldn’t turn off) I thought I may be better off with a whole bar replacement.
It was so easy and the job was done in under 5 minutes. I only needed to replacement washers it comes with the screw on the new bar. Done! Very happy.

Excellent unit took under an hour to remove the old one and put the new one on, fittings where the same, the pressure is slightly less than the old one, that’s so less water is used, I am pleased with the unit. Michael.
Very pleased with my purchase of this Bristan Cool Touch Bar Mixer Valve purchased end Nov 2019. It arrived neatly packed and comes complete with a fixing kit which you need to buy separately with some other valves. It was relatively easy to install although I reckon you need to be very precise setting the 150mm pitch between hot and cold inlet pipes. I’ve now had this installed and running for a couple of weeks and it performs very well indeed. The factory setting for temperature was spot on and I didn’t need to adjust but there is instructions included should you need to do so. The cool touch function is excellent and the bar valve remains cold at all times. The adjustment knobs at either end do get a little stiff when water gets hot but they are still relatively easy to turn because of a raised key stub on each adjustment knob. So overall I am happy to recommend this product.

Swapped my previous Bristan unit in a couple of minutes. Don’t bother changing valves. Just get this as in the scheme of things it doesn’t cost much more.

I had a few problems with this from very early on and had to keep adjusting the temperature upwards until recently when it was turned up full and only lukewarm. You would think that this was the start of a Bad review but one call to customer services and the Part I needed was in the post arriving very quickly. I’m not a plumber but 10 minutes with a spanner was all I needed to replace the thermostatic valve which seems like a very good design. As I had only bought it in February the part was free but these parts are freely available and reasonably priced which should be handy in the future and save me from replacing the entire shower next time I have a problem.

This is the best shower mixer valve to install and to adjust if I can do it anyone can.
Mistakes happen with every brand and Bristan is no exception as the valve we got was dripping a little bit from where it connects to the shower. But one call to Bristan and they were on it. They’ve sent a new part right away, followed by a replacement valve when the part didn’t help. They’ve even offered to send an engineer round to fit the new valve for free. Luckily my partner simply swapped the valves and everything was fine without the need for the engineer. Yes, being sent a faulty valve was not ideal, however, things like that do happen and it’s the ease of resolving them that makes a company better than competitors. Totally a Bristan fan now and will always buy stuff from them in the future. Bristan, thank you for all your help, we’re enjoying our new shower very much and the valve is quality!

The installation of the unit was easy enough, but part of the old kit had to be re-used on account of the supplied fittings did not fit in. The shower jet falls short of expectation in comparison to the previous shower head, and at times the water gets quite cold before the hot spray resumes. But this could be a water pressure issue.
I bought this as a replacement for an older Bristan valve.
Fitting was very easy. It would have been easier if I’d read the instructions and noticed the two new washers in the pack. Once I’d removed the unit and fitted the washers there was no leak at all.
The valve works well but I’ve had to get used to the controls being reversed to my previous unit. Once it’s set the temperature is great for time of the whole shower. I live alone so there’s no need to adjust that again. I’ve had to adjust it to just over the safety stop for my level of comfort. Others might be more comfortable with a lower level.
One thing that I’ve had to get used to is the cool touch feature of the valve. For those who keep the shower on all the time during the shower it won’t be a problem. I, however, turn the shower off to lather my torso after washing my hair and face. When I turn it on again, I have to be aware that the first water out of the shower head is a little colder than I would like, so I jump out of the way!

Fitted within 5mins. Didn’t need to use back wall plates as the casings went straight over my old triton ones. Exisiting olives left on. The bar itself is really cold to touch during use. No heat at all on it. Dials work fine, very sensitive to increase temperature so turn slowly to increase temperature.

Temperature adjustment is very sensitive.
This unit was ordered as a replacement for a different Bristan unit which was leaking. It was fitted in less than 20 minutes and fitted exactly without problem. It has been functioning correctly since. The only possible problem with this unit is that a very small adjustment of the temperature control above the 38 degree setting can very quickly increase the temperature of the shower. Care should be taken with any such adjustment before showering small children.

Great Shower valve, great price
I didn’t fit it, I had it fitted professionally, but seemed to be very straightworward to fit. Once set the temperature control is quite stable, set it and leave it alone. Highly recommended, and the “cool touch” feature works as intended also.

Excellent quality and well made
I purchased this shower however I ordered ly required the mixer, and it was cheaper to buy the bundle that the mixer on its own.
It feels like a very solid piece of kit and hasn’t leaked. Temperature and flow control aren’t sensitive to movement which is always a problem – no more getting scalded when trying to find the perfect temperature.

Briston Frenzy Shower Uni
This was a direct replacement for a unit which had ceased after 11 years of faithful service and could not be repaired. It fitted directly onto the existing fittings even though slightly different cosmetic finish. I did not fit the new fittings as this would have taken stripping down pipes. Took 5 minutes in total. Remember to put the small filters in first and do not over tighten. The only criticism is that the controls are the opposite way to my old unit and most of the current ones on sale. So I am very pleased.
