The Brother FS70WTX is an electronic sewing and quilting machine featuring 70 stitches, ideal for dress making, home furnishings and quilting. It’s suitable for the advanced sewer, but also if you’re new to sewing and want a feature packed machine. It comes with an extra wide table and free motion embroidery foot. The Start/ Stop button and slide speed control enable you to control the machine with your hands and without the included foot control. There’s a needle threader to assist with threading the needles and it has a quick set drop in bobbin and bobbin winder. The 7 x 1 step button holes allow you to sew different sizes. Stitch length and width control make the machine even easier to use. An LED light means that you never need to replace it, and your threads are not discoloured by the yellow sheen of a traditional bulb. A reverse sewing button enables you to easily lock your stitches off, whilst the 7 included feet allow you to embellish your creations even further.

A really good all rounder machine that’s really easy to use
It’s a really good all rounder machine it allows you to choose stitch size which really basic beginner machines don’t have. I stuck with brother machines and this one is just right for someone who doesn’t want it to get too complicated and expensive
First automatic
This is my first automatic machine although I have been sewing for over 60 years. Up to now I have found it easy to use, almost self explanatory, and it has done whatever I have asked of it. Compared to similar I think it is good value for money.
Amazing
This is by far the nicest, smoothest machine I have ever had!! I’m so impressed with it. It’s also very quiet to use compared to my older ones. Very happy!
Great machine
I bought this machine because I wanted to try quilting and I haven’t been disappointed with it. It’s a great machine and the amount of embroidery stitches are a bonus. Very easy for a beginner to use as well as someone experienced. Would highly recommend this machine and Brother have a very good backup system for customers.
Suitable for beginners
Bought as present for my 13 yr old who is a beginner and has only ever used a sewing machine in school. Easy to use and lots of stitch designs .

Lovely machine. I am very happy with it. I have been sewing for many years, so using and understanding the instructions for using the machine were fine. I think it is a little advanced for beginners, they should start off with a basic machine and upgrade when they feel more comfortable with a electric sewing machine.
My wife is very pleased with her new machine. Has had some problems getting used to the needle threader (but finding practice makes perfect) and also worried about fragility of the plastic arm that holds the cotton reel. Concerned that it would break if knocked – somewhat suprised it isn’t sturdier.
I absolutely love my new sewing machine. Just plug it in and it’s ready to go. Could not be simpler. The machine has a start stop button which I find very handy for long straight seams etc but also comes with a presser foot, which I find useful for smaller seams, corners, etc as it gives me more control. The stitch selection is excellent, and the choice of three different speeds is fantastic when I’m learning a new sewing skill, it allows me to go at my own pace. The only thing I go back to my old machine for is putting nose wires in face masks. I cannot, for the life of me, get this machine to set a stitch that suits this particular task. I’ve had this sewing machine for around a month and I wouldn’t part with it now. Love it!

A delight to use, so easy. My previous sewing machine weighs a ton and this one is so light, great to move about. Lots of great features. It would suit a beginner or an experienced person. Easy to thread needle, etc. (the main reason I bought this particular model), as my eyesight is not as good as it used to be. Would definitely recommend.

I bought this machine to replace my Silver25 which was the same price but was a very poor machine, i researched machines with the pros and cons laid out in front of me and came upon the brother sewing machines. Never having one and not wanting to make the same mistake as the silver i researched like mad. I found very little faults online or with other similar machines from the brother brand. I found very little problems and the few i found were the machine not being for beginners.
As i am not a beginner i am still only sewing over a year and still am only on the basic stitching, this machine seems to be perfect for me though, i had no problem learning how to stitch my first piece together with no problems what so ever. After completing it i checked all the stitches to see how tight they were, surprising to me was all the stitches were strong and held the material together tight without a missed stitch anywhere!
I highly recommend this machine even if you arent big on quilting this machine can go through heavy material, wool and very light cotton without missing a single stitch! Love my machine so much!!
Edit: After a year and as i picked up quilting i enjoyed this machine more and more. The only time it doesnt work is when it needs a bit of oil or cleaning. I started using just Gutenmann thread on it and it has not broke the thread and is sewing like a dream. I still highly recommend this machine to anyone who wants to quilt or just sew!

I bought this for my wife, and she loved it. There was a slight manufacturers fault with it, but a replacement was sent out rapidly and I was very impressed by this.
