Bought this to go on our Thule Easy-Base tow-bar carrier. It’s huge, definitely water-proof and packs down small. Just what we’d been looking for to make the Easy Base a little more versatile and beyond a bike carrier.
Rather than packing the boot (estate car) to the gunnels far easier to put the Easy Base on and keep rear-window clear. To be fair we didn’t use it to the fullest, and strapped it down somewhat. Any concerns over water-proof capability quickly put to rest – we set off in monsoon like conditions – absolutely persisting down for first 60 miles or so, with more than 50miles om the motorway.
A good option that takes the tessellation stress out of any trip!
Great product for the money. Easy to use freed up loads of room in the camper van and secured easily to the bike rack. Contents dry even after driving through a storm, hadn’t moved an inch through the journey
We was looking at roof boxes but felt we wouldn’t have much room for luggage being a family of 7, then we stumbled across this roof bag, by far the best value for money ever, worth every penny. The night before our travels we loaded the bag and put it on roof of car ready for our early morning, during the night we had a heavy down pour of rain, not a single item was wet in the bag, I was second guessing myself at first wondering wether it would actually stay in place, I was impressed with how sturdy it still was after 6 hours of travelling.
Tons of space! And we were impressed that it kept pillows and blankets bone dry even though we were hit by a massive downpoor and thunderstorm.
Seems to be very durable.
