What a fun game. Good laugh for the family. Boards are really good quality and the scoring is easy. We’ve played it a lot in our house.

Good Fun and Everyone Enjoys Playing
Easy to learn the rules and to play. The fact you guess a range, rather than the exact answers really levels the playing field for everyone. Great game. We will be adding it as a round to the regular family lockdown quiz over Zoom.

    Great fun , very inclusive
We played this at Christmas as a family game. It’s a great leveller as anyone can gain points and win. In fact the usual brainy one in our family often lost out to the considered least knowledgable member and youngest!. Loved it! Going to buy an extra set of cards soon!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersPretty good, overall ...
Of all the games we’ve bought over recent years (we tend to try to buy one each year for the family at Christmas) this one has ‘scored’ the best! We’ve played it once and had a good many laughs as well as finding quite a few of the ‘facts’ both interesting and amazing/shocking (it being quite educational too).
There are five of us and each became the ‘quizmaster/mistress’ for each question in rotation, which seemed to work well, score-wise.
What we are really hoping is that when the time comes to need new cards [which won’t be long as we’ll be playing this game regularly because it’s so good (!)] we’re hoping that a ‘re-stocking’ set of cards won’t cost virtually the same as the original game (as, with most of these games that need new cards, often the cost of the set seems more than maybe it’s fair to charge). My view is that if you charge a reasonable amount, more people will buy the new sets – simple! But charge a lot and people will look out for new games and effectively discard the old game once the answers to the questions become well-known!
But, all of that aside, 10 out of 10 for dreaming up the concept of confident – thank you !!

Great family entertainment and SO easy to learn!
We bought ‘Confident?’ to play over the Christmas period with family, and it didn’t disappoint! Really quick to learn and great fun to play, it made for a fantastically entertaining evening. In Lockdown conditions, it also proved to be extremely versatile to play with friends over a Zoom call on New Year’s Eve. As well as a very eclectic set of questions, the game also has some lovely little touches such as dry wipe answer boards and a thoughtful set of marker pens, so it can be played straight from the box. Highly recommended!

Really liked this game. Found it to be so easy to grasp and play. Played about 6 games now and a real favourite that can easily be played on video calls. The amount of cards supplied means you can play tons of games without ever using the same card. A game that i feel is for all skill levels.

We all enjoyed playing Confident, it certainly gets you thinking and surprised with many of the facts! Good fun, and will be a good game to be played more often when the unfortunate current restrictions ease.

    So much fun!.....
CONFIDENT – The whole family played this board game and we all had so much fun. It’s simple to learn and the instruction give you the detail that’s not so obvious. The phrase ‘O is that what it is’ was the favourite on the night. If you don’t know the answer then a guess will do – so much fun! and you will learn a bunch of interesting facts. Well worth buying. 10/10

My family love board games but I hate spending ages reading instructions this game is super quick to learn and good fun we really enjoyed playing it. It’s quite simple but I like the fact there are extra additions to make it more challenging if you wish.

Bought this for a family member after a friend recommended it. His family enjoyed it and invited me to play it with them over zoom. This was very easy to do and we laughed a lot playing it. We ranged in age from teens to over sixties and all enjoyed it. No prior knowledge is needed and part of the fun is estimating the answers using a mixture of general knowledge and wild guessing! I’m looking forward to playing it again, it was great fun.

Brilliant game, play it with our 17, 19 and 20 year old children – it gets everyone talking (sometimes arguing!)
It’s quite quick to play, so we have family time then it allows people to get on with other things.
Might try it over zoom with friends (and a glass of wine)

    Everyone's favourite fun game!
I was looking for a board game to tempt my teenage grandchildren away from their phones, tablets and TV and this fulfilled that aim. It’s easy to learn, good quality and great fun! My 12 year old granddaughter and my 15 year old grandson loved it. Because each player is involved all the time there is no waiting for a turn. Each game only takes 30 minutes. Great for people with short attention spans! There are loads of question cards but it’s great that if you did ever get to the end of them, you can buy some more. I’ve recommended it to other friends and family. My favourite game at the moment.

Got this game for us for Christmas and all 4 of us (adults and teenage children) love it! Fresh game each time as so many cards and some twists and turns to add in. Would recommend just playing the basic game first and then add in switch etc later on. Really good as nobody KNOWS the answer, you just have to guess!

Good game - broad appeal and participatio
Good game – easy to pick up and play. Has universal appeal and can be played with young and old as it’s not a test of precise knowledge as such, more a view on the range based on different things.

Loads of cards, so can be played many times without repeating the questions.

My family have really enjoyed playing this game. My sons are 14 and 12 and we have all found it great fun. My daughter is 9 and enjoys reading the questions and keeping the scores. Due to the nature of guessing within a range everyone has an opportunity to win. It is a great balance between knowledge and just having a guess! The questions are varied and fun. I would highly recommend it!

It’s rare to find a game that everyone who plays it loves, but this seems to be that game! Easy to learn and play, but there is still lots of depth to it and tactics to deploy. The questions are all quirky and interesting in themselves, and there are enough question cards to last for a very long time. It’s also a real bonus that the game comes with mini-whiteboards and marker pens, so no need to be searching for pen and paper every time. All in the all, the best game we have bought in years. Highly recommended.

This is one of the few games that you can pick up very easily and ensure all the family can take part. We had a 5 year old, a 7 year old, a 10 year old and two elderly grandparents playing and it worked very well with lots of laughs and discussions. The only concession we made was to take out a few items which were not relevant for all the young ones. Highly recommended

Easy to learn family fun at a time when we need it mos
This gave us a little moment of hilarity during an otherwise quite difficult festive season. I bought it for my parents and we played it at Christmas. You could play with 2 or with teenage children…younger kids would struggle just because of the questions. It would technically be possible to play over zoom (you could post your family the wipe clean boards and pens or possibly fashion your own??) The very wrong answers are the best bit…my mum thinking that the worlds fastest roller coaster would be somewhere between 10 and 30mph…because anything faster would make her feel a bit dizzy has kept me going for days.

Enjoyable game you can play with others via video
We bought this as the family Christmas game but didn’t think we’d be able to play it because of Covid-19 lockdown restrictions. As it turned out it was easy to join homes via a video service (FaceTime, Zoom etc.) & play it that way. Lots of fun & although based on “quiz” questions, doesn’t really take much knowledge to play. Everyone can have a guess at a range or use a “Boost” to help them out. Well worth the investment.

If you like Richard Osman's Distinctly Average you will like this
Possibly with its roots (like the similar card game More or Less maybe) has its roots in Distinctly Average ( a round in Richard’s Osman’s House of Games ) it certainly gets conversation going so is more than just a quiz, and so better with more players. Very much enjoyed but we did adapt the scoring especially with fewer players as often one guess was close – say ’60 to 70′ with an answer of 59 where other guesses were all 100+ and we chose to award 2points.
House Rules Apply like many games we play.

So far, played the game only once with an assortment of players across all ages from 12 to 70. Age is no barrier to enjoyment. No complicated rules to understand or argue over – just open the box, take a minute or two to read the introduction and get going.
And, as a side issue, you learn a lot of facts along the way.
    Thank you.

We have only played this once so far to try it out, but felt that it would be very good when played with our family. The beauty of it is that you can play it around the dining table after a meal, over coffee or whatever. We’ve really enjoyed playing this over Zoom with the family we couldn’t see at Christmas. It’s easy to learn and really fun when you introduce the copy, swap and double functions, which all backfired on us and resulted in my 82 year old Mum winning – hilarious! Would highly recommend for any family gatherings. This was our main board game for this Christmas and it went down a treat. It’s an easy to understand game, so much so that all ages can participate, our youngest was 9 yo. The rules are also easily changed for whatever the situation (e.g. for faster play). It quickly ignites the competition in the family with the score board and allows for laughs at each other’s answers.

Really enjoyed the game. Played a few times now. Easy to learn. Works well over Zoom! Great for getting conversations going ( I didn’t know….. etc). Having a rubbish memory, we have played the cards a couple of times and although we were closer, there was still a competition there. A bit concerned about when we know the answers really well. Hopefully there will be booster packs every couple of years. Intrigued by the personal extension pack. That should last if it’s played by different groups. Good original game!

Really easy to learn and play. Lots of random questions. You’ll be surprised by many of the answers. Perfect for playing anywhere, as there’s no central board to have to reach. You all have your own boards to write on and someone reads the cards. Easy peasy!

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersGreat fun to be able to play as a group
We’ve played this as three adults, each playing individually. The idea is that you are asked to guess a number which is the answer to a question on the card, you decide a range for the answer to be in and, if the answer is in your range, then you can also get additional points if you have the most narrow range. It’s really easy to learn and quick to play.
It’s a fun game to play which gets it’s questions from all areas of knowledge. There were a couple that one of us knew the actual answer but most were huge guess work.
Oddly, my daughter and I kept guessing exactly the same ranges for some of the answers which was very funny.
This would be even more fun with more people.

Simple yet clever concept which makes it fun for anyone to play...
Everyone has a chance to win points with a spread of various categories covered by the questions. All answers are vaguely numerical or time related, but that isn’t a bad point at all, it’s a good point in fact, as again that enables anyone to have a guess as you put a low value and a high value & if the correct answer falls inside that range you get points, it’s that simple, yet with entertaining questions that you can also have a good natter about when you learn the correct answers. Already played 3 / 4 times with 3 couples over a skype / zoom chat. Really good.

This is a great game to engage the whole family. It’s quick to play (about 20 minutes), easy to learn but with really intriguing questions that get you thinking – and let everyone show off their specialist knowledge! No strategy required, just guess the range of the answer as closely as you can! We’ve even played it online as the cards are fun to try without the boards if needed. Although – the pens and boards are great – nice design with the built in erasers.

This game is very quick to learn and doesn’t take forever to play. It is lots of fun and tests general knowledge but is also quite a leveller – often more about making a common sense estimate than knowing an exact answer. My only gripe is that we will get through the cards quickly and for the price paid I would have hoped for more cards in the pack. It is totally worth buying a top up set of cards though so I’m sure I will. Still highly recommended this game- great for dinner parties.

This game is just great. It’s about the easiest game to learn I’ve come across and was enjoyable between a group of adults, my 10 year old and 15 year old equally.

    Are there any downsides?

365 day fun all year round!
Fabulous Christmas or birthday present. I was lucky enough to meet Ceri when he was promoting his game at a stand in John Lewis. I can honestly say that they game lives up to its title. My kids played endless games – I really feel it has benefited them (age 8 and 10) by encouraging them to think independently. They literally love it.

    Second purchase
Love this game! We bought it for ourselves initially and then bought it as a gift too. You can play with big groups and pair up, or you can play as individuals. We have played in groups of 4 but also up to 12. Good that there are 2 sets of cards, you don’t even get through a third of once deck with one game. Something for everyone. Look forward to purchasing the extra card sets when we get through these. Highly recommend!

    Christmas saviour.
It’s easy to learn and enjoyable to play. Purchased for a quick Christmas activity with the family, everyone loved it so much that it even made a second appearance at the start of new years eve. A question is asked, you choose your lowest and highest answer, the range inbetween is also noted. If the answer falls in the range you get 1 point, the player/team with the smallest range gets 3, quickest to 15 wins. The questions are excellent, they really make you think.

A great game for groups of mixed ages & generations to all play togethe
A different take on a family or group game, as you basically all play at the same time, and anyone can play – as you are just taking your best guess at the range that the answer may be in. We find usual trivia or knowldge games to be a bit awkward and offputing for those less clever, or younger. But this gets round that by being easy for everyone to play at once and just take a good guess. The quality of the boards, pens, etc is good too. Be good to have additional boards.

    Huge fun for everyone
“Every day is a school day” – That is how this game will make you feel. The facts are really fun and this is a game that the whole family can play, even those with limited general knowledge. The ‘Swap’, ‘Copy’ and ‘Double’ power-ups are really fun too, especially if you’re playing to win!!

There are loads of cards, we’ve played this game several times and haven’t even opened the second pack of questions!

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersGr8 family game fun for all ages, dead wasy to lea
As an avid board game player i bought this to play at our family game nights. We normally play with 8 people so found this played better in teams of 2 but tbh this worked better anyway having someone to throw your guesses at.
Have played with kids aged 12 to 14 who loved it and adults upto 70yrs old and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. The nature of the game meant age rarely was a factor as noone knew the answers spot on. The only thing is some of the dry wipes are so dry you cant use them (nit quite the point of a dry wipe pen :-)) also as yet there is no exp pack and as is typical with games like this it would in time be possible for it to become stale if you play it a lot and become familiar with the questions, that said the creators included a message in my copy stating that 1 is planned shortly. Good fun would defo recommend.

    Update
The creators have sent out replacement pens not expected but 1st class service. Looking forward to the expansion being released September.

Great game for a family night i
Really excellent game. Have now bought it/ recommended it for different people. Like that it is very fair and hard to predict who will win – different to other games where age/education provide more opportunity as the questions are quite diverse and anyone can take a guess. Really interesting facts in the questions too.

I bought this for my sons 14th birthday. Have just played it with 5 of us ages 9-52yrs. It’s a good fun general knowledge game with numerical answers. As the answers you give are ranges there is less pressure you can play according to how confident you feel of your answer. The questions are interesting for example how many sausage rolls are sold each week at Greggs? We have only played the basic game once so far (many more questions to answer!). and we will try the three Powers next time… planning to take this on uk holiday for the rainy days/evenings I imagine it will be good for team play too…

When the kids say “Oh go on, just one more game before bed!”, you won’t be able to say no.
This game is just brilliant. We have spent many a hilarious hour playing it with the kids and the grandparents too – it definitely appeals to all generations! Perfect for a camping trip or a weekend away, this game is guaranteed to get everyone involved. One of the particularly great things about it is how the questions are written in such an accessible way. My 12 year old has learning difficulties and usually shies away from reading aloud but when we play CONFIDENT he always has to be in charge of reading the questions. Thanks for inventing such a simple, engaging and enjoyable format – genius!

    Fun with Stats!!!
I played this game with friends and was blown away by how fun it is. The premise is kinda Trivial pursuit but with numbers. But the way the game is played is all about how we use and understand statistics. I bought a copy of the game for entertainment and also to let friends and colleagues have a fun learning experience. It would be great for older kids too. Huge kudos to the inventors!

Easy to learn for all the family
Loved this new game! Really easy to learn and suitable for all the family, we played in mixed age range teams and some of the discussions were hysterical. We had to set a timer in the end or we would have been there all night. In the end with the timer we could play numerous rounds, best or three, changed to best of five, then seven, we were addicted immediately and friends and family have gone on to buy there own copy.

    A new angle on trivia
    Hi Ceri & Natalie
As a retired actuary (yes I saw the review in The Actuary) I love it. Unlike with most quiz/trivia. questions you don’t have to know the exact answer – just be somewhere near (or at least nearer than others playing it). A possible change would be to limit the upper number in the range to 2 or 3 times the actual answer to prevent “silly” ranges getting a point.
As with most question based games, if the same players are involved too often the answers can be remembered meaning expansion kits will be required (or at least a Guiness Book of Records to write your own). Great idea – well done.

Excellent game for the whole family!
We’ve played this game a number of times since we bought it at Christmas 2018 and we absolutely love it. It’s our new favourite! We have played it with a number of different groups of friends and family members, adults and children, and they’ve all enjoyed it. Initially, everyone thinks its going to be difficult as its not terribly easy to explain, but after one quick trial round everyone gets the hang of it and you’re off! Would love an expansion pack as I think we’re running short of cards now!

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersGreat fun for the whole family
I love this game, as do my family, from my 13 yr old daughter to 80 yr old parents.
We often play this after dinner, there is something for everyone in the questions, most often you’ll have to guess but that is all part of the fun.
The facts quite often instigate a conversation (such as the question about how many people actually voted for Brexit) and, when there’s lots of us, we will play in teams of 2/3.
If you like a fun, interesting easy to play game then this is for you.
I highly recommend it for larger groups, though we have played it with 3.
Should there subsequently be a follow up pack of questions I would definitely buy them.
I bought one for my niece and her husband too.
Overall a well thought out game which is easy to set up and play

    Everyone can play
We’ve had hours of fun with Confident? You truly don’t need to know the answers to get good at this game, and the ‘wild card’ elements keep everyone on their toes, and help provide a randomness that keeps the competition alive for those of us who love that part of playing games. And we laughed like drains….

Bought this to take home for Christmas and play with the family, and everyone enjoyed! It’s a perfect game for all ages and abilities with it’s unique approach to answering using educated guesses. There’s a great range of well chosen questions across a broad range of topics with some really surprising answers to keep the experience competitive and fun.

I highly recommend this game, definite 5 star purchase.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersA huge success
Played at two gatherings over the festive period and what a huge success!

We teamed off in twos as there were 8 of us each time. Every couple could be heard enthusiastically discussing their answer range – and were usually shocked at how bad their knowledge was!
Amazing how varied the answers from each pair were – from ridiculously low to astronomically high – even from the guests we thought would smash this game.

We didn’t incorporate the Copy/Swap/Double Powers (next time) but we did use the ‘Interesting Info’ as Bonus Points for the first correct answer (not always possible) and that worked really well too (we like twisting the rules to suit our guests/occasion/… – with their prior agreement!!)

Beware – some questions are date-dependant, so don’t assume that just because you saw/visited such-and-such a thing 3 years ago that it’s still true/in existence – these questions were all correct as of Aug 2018 – as noted on the instructions!!

So, an excellent, fun addition to our party evenings – highly recommended 🙂

Fun game for all ages and abilities
Bought the game as a Christmas present and it was perfect for large, diverse age group to play over the holidays. We all liked the fact the answers require a “range” response not a precise number or fact, therefore increasing the chance of winning and also being good fun. Everyone felt involved and enjoyed playing several times over Christmas. Wide range of topics and categories covered too. Will be good to play again and again as we will never remember all the answers!! Good fun, highly recommend it.

    Fun trivia game for everyone!
This game is so good because it’s accessible to anyone and everyone. You don’t need to have amazing general knowledge like other similar games and there are so many different topics that you don’t find that one person runs away with it. The addition of the 3 powers adds an extra twist to the game, and are particularly useful when you’ve got people nearing the 15 points-mark!

It’s been a big hit over Christmas with friends and family alike, and my family are not big into their trivia games and I’m already looking forward to my next games night. Even better, I’ve learnt some new fun facts that may come in handy at a future pub quiz!

Great purchase and I highly recommend buying it.

Absolutely brilliant game, my family and I have played this all Christmas. This game is great for all ages and abilities. What is best is that you don’t need to know the answer to be included so everyone is able to play, and understand the game. Love it! You must buy this and play with everyone you meet.

What a great concept! Works even better than I expected — especially for a group with different interests and experience. It doesn’t leave anyone feeling stupid for not knowing things, and the questions are well-pitched and nicely varied. Everyone I’ve played it with has loved it – some of them have even gone on to buy it for themselves! There’s something to keep everyone engaged and it doesn’t drag on. It’s great value too considering what you might pay for other trivia games!

The game is really well designed and fun to play. The questions are almost perfectly set where you always feel like you kind of know it, but you can never be totally sure. The extra powers add some spice as well.
We found it works as a competitive game and just as well as a collaborative one with people working in teams or all together to come up with the best estimate.
    Highly recommended!

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersExcellent new game
This really is such a good game for any groups. Unlike quiz games where it gets tedious when you don’t know the right answer, in this one it’s unlikely anyone will know the exact answer and so everyone is able to join in and play. “What’s the average running speed of a kangaroo”? I’d go for 30mph to 50 mph? Winner just has to have the right answer in their range, and a smaller range than the others……….. really simple, and it works so well because the questions are all a bit off the wall……..

Personally I prefer games like this to right / wrong trivia games, and for me Confident is as good as games like Chronology, Dixit and Exploding Kittens………

The best thing about Confident? is that it offers a bit of something for everyone, no matter what age or level of general knowledge. I haven’t really played any games in the past that do this.

For me, I love that you can play in teams or you can play solo, you can be devious against other players (or teams) and you learn new facts. There is tension, excitement and surprise at some of the answers.

All in all great fun with friends and family alike.

I don’t usually buy board games, but decided to get a new one for Christmas and I couldn’t recommend CONFIDENT? enough – I can’t think of a better game to play with family and friends. It only took a couple of minutes to learn (there’s a good video on their website) and It’s so much more fun than the traditional games. I really like the range idea – it perfectly balances having to know facts and making educated guesses, and it means that everyone has a chance so no one ever gets bored. There’s depth to it too as you can play strategically depending on how clever you think your friends are. The powers add an extra dimension with fun interaction between players. I expect I’ll be having many more exciting evenings playing CONFIDENT? with family and friends!

Great new board game, can spend hours playing with the family! We loved the interesting facts and little comments alongside the trivia questions and answers! It is a unique trivia game as everyone has a chance to play/guess a range even if unsure of the answer which is a great idea. Played in small and bigger groups and both times it was really addictive and lots of fun! Highly recommend!

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersA great trivia game with a fun twis
Most trivia games work best when you have players with similar trivia knowledge but ‘Confident?’ works with various levels of ability thanks to it main twist on the usual trivia games, the use of ranges.

In Confident? instead of giving the correct answer you give a range, the person with the smallest range is rewarded the most but everyone who gets it right is also rewarded.

The additional 3 abilities which the game has to copy someone, switch two people and double points for one question add an extra dimension especially when people have played the game a couple of times.

Small groups (3-4 players) can play a round in 15-20 minutes, if you have a larger group with 4+ teams (of 2+ players) the game time can be up to 45 minutes.

This is a great trivia game which has plenty of re-playability, plenty of highs and lows for all the players.
