I have not had to change batteries since installing this pack. Charges via usb cable while installed in controller when controller plugged into console or PC. No need to remove pack or use cradle when charging.
Got this hoping it was what I needed and very much enjoy it. I think it’s worth the buy and I’m about to buy another one for my Pro Controller. Great battery life and really long charger.
I really like the battery life you get with the battery pack. But for the extra $11 or $20 you pay for it, your still not gonna get elite controller battery life, but its closs enough.
Product came as stated and hasn’t given me any problems. I play every day for a few hours and I dont have to charge my controller but once every 4 or five days. I like that the charger cord has a light to tell you when its done.
My first battery charge has lasted longer than my disposable batteries.
Long battery life! All you really need! USB C cord is stylish and long as well. It does take a long time to charge to max though, but really, that’s not a huge issue if you just plug it in at night; and you can still use the controller if you have to charge it while playing. Great little battery.
Would recommend. Keeps charge well, cable is good quality. Although it would’ve been nice to have an option that didn’t include the cable as I have plenty of usb-c cables lying around. This was the best value battery pack I could find without buying a preowned xbox one rechargeable battery pack. Works as advertised.
Great product all you have to do is put it in your controllers battery slot and plug your controller into the charger- this comes with the battery pack. Very easy to use however sometimes it is hard to fit into the battery slot. Only issue is that once you’ve run the battery down, you have to wait for it to recharge so you can’t play continuously whilst still being wireless.
There was no adaptor in the box when it clearly states there should be one. I have now purchased a separate adaptor for it. Really disappointed but not as disappointed as the person I bought it for.
Bye bye battery’s! So happy they make these since Xbox controllers still require AA battery’s
The lighted end of the cord letting you know when the device is fully charged is handy. It is red when charging and a very cool blue when the controller is charged. Love this purchase.

Works as advertised. I used this to replace my Xbox play and charge when the battery wouldn’t hold a charge. We’ll see how this one lasts.
The only issue I’ve had is the cover on the back doesn’t fit anymore due to the battery being a bit bigger….no biggie though
Set and forget. I just recharge the controller after every session like I would with the Playstation. No need for switching battery nonsense

The cord nice and long, and it’s so much better than replacing batteries all the time. You can charge while playing (cord is 10 ft long). So far I’m very happy with the battery, seems to be working pretty nicely.
There’s not much to say about this battery and cable other than it does exactly what it should. It’s perfect…which for a product like this, means you never have to think about it…but don’t forget about it if you ever need another!
It powers the game controller, it recharges after extended use, and (to date) has not had a single issue with connection to our console.
The charging indicator on the cord is one of those surprise features that you won’t realize how awesome it is until don’t have it. I now want this feature included with every charging cable!
When it comes to gaming I’ve always been a bit of a snob and gone for the Microsoft made products. I saw this plug and play kit as an advertisement whilst looking for the Microsoft one and thought I’d give it a go. Very good product, long wire so you can actually plug and play, battery life is great too. Finally design of the product is bang on and I love the lighting feature to let you know when it’s fully charged. Thank you once agai

Microsoft probably have a deal with Duracell if you don’t use this. The cord is long and durable there is a typeA converter included. You get north of 20 hours play time a light on the end of the cable turns blue when the controller is charged which takes south of 3 hours no muss no fuss much better than messing with batteries.
Since Xbox don’t make an official branded pack I got this to compromise. Great quality and works well. I’d buy another for my second controlle

I had purchased Xbox’s version of this but it didn’t work as described. The Microsoft version wouldn’t recharge when plugged in. However, when I bought this one from Amazon it worked perfectly. Came with a micro USB port in case it’s needed. Really love the light on the charging cable. Blue light will light up when fully charged, red light will light up when charging. Battery lasts a very long time. Hardly ever need to recharge. I like how I get to keep my controller’s battery cover while using this battery pack. Best part is that I can recharge by connecting the cable to my controller. Worth the money and better than first party seller.

It is my go to configuration for eliminating battery consumption by the controller. The series X has a different connector than the XBoxe One. The place holder plug seems the same as the Xbox one but this kit comes complete and a connector converter so it may be used on the Onr as well. So far no issues. I like the color changing led on the connector right at the controller, blue for ok, red fornot charging or connected and purple for charging at first I was apprehensive about the light but as you are playing you can tell at a glance the status of charge and it is not offensively brigh
Used it for the first time today, charged up overnight. Cannot comment on battery life as I have only just purchased it. There is a good led light on the connector which is red when charging. This turns blue when fully charged. Good length of cable with it and the battery pack is of good quality.

My husband is an avid gamer and goes through batteries like crazy with his controllers. He had a cheaper charger like this that just did not work well. He says this one is working well so far and is comparable to the name brand one he used in the past.
The pack fit in the controller with no issues. He has used some in the past that were a little too big, but he said this one fits great.
It is working well and the charge is holding up so far.
Went through a couple off charging cycles before reviewing- i’m getting 6 to7 days – 6 to 8hrs of use per day- before batt level dropped below 50%- i usually recharge at around 45%. So pretty good imo! (I use the bluetooth settings menu on pc to view batt level) The cable is great- it has an led indicator that lets you know when a charge is flowing through and into your device- when the device is charged the light goes off- You can use it with your phone or anything else that accepts usb-c. So if the device you’re trying to charge doesn’t have a charge indicator- this cable will help you out! I tried searching Amazon for just the cable- and couldn’t find anything exactly like it- there are other versions that show data flow / or wattage-
I play a lot and so far this has been great! Battery last a long time. Cord is decent quality and I like how it lights up to indicate charging.
Perfect, led lights is a nice touch with the cord and the fact that the charger plugs into your actual controller instead of battery pack is nice because you don’t have to sacrifice your back of your controller.

Don’t waste your time and money on Xbox series X chargers where you need to replace the battery pack, and back cover, so you can get the contacts to reach, I bought 2 of these chargers, and both were very fiddly, and would often just stop charging where the contacts are so shoddy.
Just buy an Xbox rechargeable battery, and power it with your countless USB type c cables you have in every room.
PS, the only downside about these packs, is that Microsoft do not supply them as standard, just as you expect from any other games controller.
Very high quality and seems to work fine. Has a nice light feature, when charging, light is red. When battery is fully charged, it turns blue. This is an outstanding feature, very helpful. The wiring is very high quality.

Product works exactly as advertised and has great battery life. If battery runs low, simply plug in to 10 ft chord it comes with and keep playing.
I like this cord. It feels expensive. It is more of a cloth feeling cord. As well, the LED charge indicator is quite helpful. It glows red when charging, then blue when fully charged. The battery has pretty good life on it. I have had it for a month or so, have only charged it once, and I am a moderate gamer. The cord is nice and long too. It’s a solid item for the money.
This is the same price as a Microsoft one so I wasn’t too happy about paying the price at first , but so far it has the build quality to match, the battery is lasting as I would expect of the original . It fits the same way and comes with a cable that has both usb c and micro USB adapter too and that’s a win for anyone . The cable indicated the charge and works well.
Main reason I bought this is there we’re not Microsoft ones available anywhere .. so far I’m pleased with the produc
This is an excellent battery pack with a long battery life. The adapter lets you use it for the Xbox One X or the Series X/S. I also find the light on the charging cable very useful.
I really like this charger setup. The battery last a long time, and I really like the charging cord. When plugged in it turns red and when fully charged it turns blue. Takes the guess work out when its complete.
I ordered a charge and play kit directly from Microsoft for $25, but the expected delivery date is March 14, 2022 (ordered in late January). So after replacing AA batteries a few times in the first week of owning a XBOX Series S, I fought through some of the negative reviews and hit the order button on this item. I plugged into an iPhone charger and in 2 hours the LED on the cord changed from red to blue, indicating a full charge. I’ve used it for 2 evening sessions – probably about 8 hours, and still going strong. Will update when I get better info on battery life. Works great so far!
Update. Still works great after a few charging cycles. Easily lasts 24-30 hours and can be plugged into any USB charger to continue if you get the low battery light.
Great product but I selected it on the condition it was a USB C connection as I could use it on the road for Bluetooth gaming. Got it and was a little peeved. Luckily I still have a type 2 charger with cord laying around.
The battery life is amazing, still haven’t recharged it after over 2 weeks of use. The cable included is a braided nylon cord that is really long and feels high quality. Great product if you don’t like swapping batteries all the time. Also included is a USB-C to Micro USB incase you have an older controller.
I normally stay first party with anything related to my gaming consoles, but this time I went third party and it works just fine. No issues. Plus, it came with an insanely long USB-C charge cord. It’s at least ten feet long.
This product was exactly what I was looking for. Build quality feels as if it’s the official battery pack for Xbox. The 10ft charge and play cable is high quality as well. The battery life on each charge is incredible. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this charge kit. The people who weren’t pleased must have gotten a defective or something because mines are great! 5*
I use this regularly. I really enjoy that it shows you when the remote has charged all the way. I currently have not had any issues with the battery pack. I feel it was money well spent.
Bis jetzt funktioniert alles super. Akku wird schnell geladen und wechselt dann von rot auf blau wenn es voll ist. Bin sehr zufrieden damit. Kabel ist auch sehr hochwertig verarbeitet.
Believe it or not it took me a couple of weeks to decide which charge kit I should go for.
First of all, the cord is amazing, great quality; the light on the usb c plug looks cool.
And last but not least a lot less expensive than the Xbox brand one; so far so good.

Fits snugly inside the Xbox Series X controller, fit it and forget it. I love the Y indicator light on the cable to let you know the charge status. Battery lasts for long hours of gaming and charges pretty quickly. Glad I bought this

The AA batteries in the hand controller ran out Christmas day after just a few hours of use so this was most welcome! don’t know yet how long the batteries will last as it’s not two weeks old yet.

I bought this to replace an official battery that had stopped holding its charge after three years of use. I’m happy to say that this one lasts as long as the official one. I left it to charge for four hours despite the led saying it was charged way before that. Since then it charge’s within an hour or so and last over 25 hours. Great value for money
I use it for my series S controller and it hasn’t failed on me and the charger helps me know when it is full charge I will say when it plugs in or gets disconnected from the charger the controller cuts off from wireless to wired and vis versa
so this basic upgrade is realistically essential, cheap, basic to install & long lasting etc & yes you can play whilst its charging-up “even when you’ve just purchased it & installed it all together etc” no tool required on about 30seconds of your life.
you get an adaptor whish isn’t required for the series-X. Also noting the power/recharging light stays on when the cable is still plugged into the system on ‘OR powered off’ it does dim down when on standby but its still noticeable etc…
I forgot to mention, this kit will save you from having to buy none recharging batteries weekly etc & YES teh standard Xbox series X controllers don’t need to be wired to the game system to operate, I wasn’t sure to begin with.. now I know for sure

Battery life is great! Really impressed with the quality of the charging wire.
I’ve been pleased with the battery. The cord is nice and long so it can be plugged in and used if your Xbox is about 7 feet away from you. The battery life is Ok too good. I havent had a long gaming session in a while but I have gone 1 day 3 hours next day 2 hours and about an hour the 3rd day before a low battery notification.
This is brilliant, has a LED light that goes blue when fully charged and of course red whilst charging, battery life for me I play about 3 hours every 1-2 days and it lasted for 2-3 weeks, which is good going, as Ive had ones that only last a couple days.
Used this for a few months now when I bought a new Xbox and I’d definitely recommend. It comes with a long cable so you can play whilst charging. The charge lasts a good amount of time and it takes a fraction of that time to charge.

Whilst cable, battery are good the USB micro adapter is pants, in only a short time it becomes very loose at the tip and slips from the connection point!
Normally buy official xbox play and charge kit but this by far feel better quality and finish even the charging lights on the cable
This battery pack was good enough of a purchase that I would recommend it to anyone who owns an Xbox controller. The fact that you can still use the standard back for your controller and charge the battery by the USB-C port is a large reason as to why this battery is a better offering than any of the others in its price range. The fact that it is half the price of the first party one from Microsoft but functions just as well is absolutely stunning.
Seriously it’s worth the money. Great price and does what it needs to do. The battery life is great!
I really love how simple and easy this charging system is. The one thing that’s unfortunate is that when I have it plugged in to charge, I’m just looking to charge it. However, when I plug it into charge in my Series X it has this tendency to randomly turn my Series X on despite no buttons being pressed on the controller. I get that maybe when you plug it in, you might want to also play it, so turning the console on at the beginning makes some sense. But if it’s been charging for a while, I don’t need the controller to randomly turn my console on. I tried plugging into my computer’s USB to see if that was the issue, but oddly enough it also randomly turns my console while plugged in over there as well.
First thing first, these are way better than having to stock pile AA batteries for a weekend of gaming. They fit in the battery pocket nicely, and have a power cable to recharge that is ten feet long. You can play while charging. The battery is only 1400ma, so they don’t last as long as advertised. They are a good product and I would buy again if they had a little more play time between charging. I bought two so I can charge a second one while using the first.
Change controllers while playing, don’t have to take the batteries out of the controller. The light at the end of the cable is a nice touch, tells you when the battery is charged.
I got this because I didn’t want to worry about switching out AA batteries. So far this has worked great. Charge lasts about a week for me. I game maybe a 6-8 hours a week. The provided cable is nice but this can be charged with any USB c charger you have around.

Been working well and good in my Series X controller pretty good till the last week were it started randomly disconnecting and reconnecting to the controller when in use during the charging.
The battery works fine. Lasts me around three days or more. Only problem is that it keeps turning on my Series S by itself when I connect it.
These batteries are fab last long and pad feels lighter than normal batteries.
This product fits perfect, it charges good, and it last a pretty good amount of time. I stream and I also play games along with that and I have to say its worth it.
I have had a couple of non Microsoft battery packs in the past, both rubbish, this holds its charge as well as the Microsoft.
The product works great! The only issue is that when I play on pc with this vs regular batteries I sometimes disconnect and then reconnect. It doesn’t happen on the xbox itself however so if you’re using it just for an xbox system works great. PC? Get something else

I suspect it provides more power than batteries, or something like that.
I know everyones Xbone controller wont stay connected over Bluetooth. A battery pack fixes that. Get this one because its just as good as an MS one, but the cable it comes with provides a charging indicator… for anything you charge with it not just the controller!
This thing is great if you have more than one battery to swap out. Often. While it uses the USB port on an Xbox controller to charge, the battery life is not great.
For the price is does what its supposed to. I’ve had my previous rechargable battery for about 4 years now and it just started to not hold any charge. Decided to get this one and so far not disappointed. Comes with a nice long charge cable too. Not sure how long the charge will last until it needs to be replaced but so far so good!
It works fine otherwise, but I do wish I’d just spent a little bit more for the official Microsoft battery.
I recieved it on time gave it time to charge and i have played 4 days on the battery and haven’t had to put it back on the charger yet it’s still 100$ charged the charging cord is nicely put together the adapter it comes with is a nice touch icon use it on my older controllers I would definitely buy another one
The battery last just as long as it says. I wanted a new battery pack for the new controller Series X controller and seeing as it had a Type C USB i wanted to give it a try. Light on the cable turns red when charging and turns back to blue when its done. I dont like that the cable stays blue when nothing is plugged in so its constantly on but i dont mind
When I first recived it, the box was kind of small. My first thoughts were “there’s no way this is my order” but after I opened the package it started to make sense. After I got it set up and plugged it in, I fell in love. I’m not sure how amazing it will be or how it will last but honestly the chord itself is awesome!! It has a light in the chord that changes depending on the charge of your battery. Red is when it’s not charged and blue when fully charged! Now I know that’s not super important but I will say the chord itself is pretty high quality. The battery itself seems a little light and maybe a bit cheap. But so far I’d say I’m pretty happy with this!
Edit. I notice that the one I have has a USB-C port at the end and it came with micro USB adapter. The connection doesn’t seem secure and now it keeps telling me I have no connection and keeps telling me to re-connect the controller in the middle of the game
I purchased this product for my Series X controller, as Microsoft in their infinite wisdom neglected to include a charge status LED indicator on the cords of their new OEM rechargeable packs like they have on their old mini USB version. Microsoft should really just make their controllers rechargeable at this point, as Sony has been doing that for 3 generations now, but I digress. I have an OEM pack for my Xbox One controller, which works pretty well, but that LED indicator is crucial, particularly when playing on PC like I am with this controller, as the PC interface in regards to battery charge is totally unreliable with these packs, even the OEM ones. With that said, if even the Microsoft brand battery has its quirks, I won’t hold an aftermarket brand to a higher standard, or be upset if it does the same thing, which so far it is. Now to the reason I purchased THIS product.
It occurred to me that I could just use my Microsoft pack in both my PC and Xbox controllers, as I only ever play with one at a time, and swapping a battery is easier than constantly pairing and re-pairing the same controller between two devices like I had been doing prior to picking up another controller, so I started pricing USB C wires with LED indicators, and the cheapest I found was about $11, which isn’t bad, but this product, at least at the time of my purchase, was $18, so I basically bought an LED USB C cord for $11 and then rolled the dice on a $7 rechargeable lithium battery. I can’t say firsthand whether this battery stays charged for 35 hours, because I’ve only used it for about an hour or so since I’ve gotten it, but I can say that I’d be completely content with it if it holds a charge even half that long for the basically $7 I paid for it (subtracting the $11 I would pay for just the cord elsewhere). At this moment I am happy with my purchase. I will edit this review if that changes.
