5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent and robus
Exactly what I said in the title. Robust enough to easily handle 2 year old beech hedge growth, good battery life, easy maintenance, andhigh quality materials

    Regret not buying soone
This gets through the job, no recharging requirement, my previous one could barely get through 20- 30mins, so moved to a cable, which careless me cut through two, cables on differnt units, stulid i know, but as per title, i really wish i just spent the money on this to befin with.

Saves time & effort and cuts very well
This has transformed the job of cutting my beech hedge. I have a run of 150m of hedge to cut and this unit makes very light work of it compared to my old cable connected unit. Being battery operated saves a huge amount of time compared to managing long runs of electrical cable.

The unit is reasonably lightweight, cuts much more effectively than I had expected and I can just about cut the entire hedge on one fully charged battery.

Definitely well worth the money I think.

    Quality cutters
Not heavy, easy to use. Didn’t need to recharge the battery, it came with a 5Ah.
I always add a drop of oil to the cutting blades after use. Very happy with the cutters.

    Excelle
It’s nice and light easy to use slower than a petrol hedge cutter but brilliant for awkward spaces

    Recommend this hedge trimmer.
Great product. Comes with a battery charger which they don’t make clear.

    Great hedge trimme
I’ve used the Dewalt 18v system for almost 7 years now, and in all of that time I’ve never had a complaint against any of their range of tools. This hedge trimmer is another good tool and I find it easy to use and light enough to complete an hours hedge cutting

Good but not perfect for me
I have plenty of Dewalt tools , and decided I needed a smaller trimmer for the vertical faces of my hedging. The Stihl petrol will do everything else but its heavy.
The Dewalt in this case was a steal as it included a 5AH battery and charger for not too much more money than a bare unit . Battery charged and I went to work on the hedge.
It cuts well and the battery life was impressive – better than the performance of my strimmer.

However – personally – for me , as I was using this tool for vertical cutting , I found the ERGO of the trigger handle to be poor and my hand ached quickly.
The tool is not too heavy and did not introduce any fatigue through weight , just posture of my wrist.
Its ok on Horizontal work though.
A possible solution would be to have the blade part rotate where it joins the handle.
This would provide much more comfort.
Also , I cant tell from the packaging or the tool if it is brushless or not !.

Battery Power is so much easie
This is so handy, I had an electric one that got its power from a cable. This is lightweight and easy to move around, also no risk of my chopping the cable as it’s not got one. Not trashed the battery life, but cut around my small garden without needing a charge.
