Heavy, but strong Its a bit more heavy than mostly of the other top brands, but thats comes with improoved durability as well. I am doing professional buffing, cutting and polishing from 4 years and i been always prefer to work with the DeWalt polishers
Much more useful than expected Really well made tool. Sturdy, durable and strong.
I have found many uses for it from very fine to very rough and tough.
Car polishing, woodwork polishing, tile floor deep cleaning, it excels in all of them.
Would definitely recommend.
You can't go wrong with Dewal I did my research on this product but also searched “best car polisher” and this came top in the majority of tests. You know the quality is going to be there because of the brand. It has electronic speed control which means you set the spin speed of the pad. It also boasts inteligent trigger & two handle options which offers optimum control. The results are awesome but you will need get used to the tool. Spend some time on some panels that you’re not that worried about (maybe the misses car ). It’s wired so will need an extension lead but as long as you put the extention in a sensible place and put the lead over your shoulder you won’t notice it. It came with a wool pad which I’ve never used. I use Meguiars polishing pads which compliment this polisher perfectly. All in all a happy purchase which I would recommend.
Not cheap but top quality. Low speed control useful Used for polishing a boat hull. It’s a top quality product and the constant speed feature is good. I’m an amateur so it took a while to work out the most effective abrasives and polishes. I’m happy that I have made a good investment that will save many hours of polishing in the future.
A polisher that has changed my life!! After using a very cheap polisher and achieving absolutely nothing, I read a few reviews and how-to guides and decided on this Dewalt jobby. Its changed my life!! Minor car bodywork is now easily resolved with this, and my 40 year old, heavily oxidised GRP boat hull has come up like new when previously it had the texture of 120 grit sandpaper! This device was worth every penny. I’m sure other polishers do as good a job, but this is very nicely made, it is easy to service and maintain, and it has nice RPM controls.
Bonne qualité Trs bon appareil de qualit mon mari a juste d changer la prise car c’est pas une de chez nous mais il s’y connat donc fait en quelques secondes merci pour cet appareil
Great bit of kit, powerhouse of a polisher. Bags of power and surprisingly agile. Obviously a wee bit heavier that an average DA but feels like I can get loads of work done quickly this this thing. Also consider the ShineMate rotary.
Great sander/ polishe Great sander/ polisher. Awesome slow speed with precise trigger control. quiet operating noise. Ive been using cheap 45 sanders for a few years but this is next level. Highly recommend! Comes with both Handle types!
Excellent product. Excellent product and built very well. Easy to use once you acquire the nack and reasonably quiet in operation. Should not be used for grinding as its really a polisher only.
Price was fantastic as I say buy cheap buy twice I learned ... Wow what a product. Had a cheaper buffer before this and the difference is unbelievable. The slow start and ease of use second to none. Price was fantastic as I say buy cheap buy twice I learned this. So buy this and buy once. The Finnish I’m getting on paint work now is fantastic. First class product.
How can they make them at this price? I don’t know how anyone could give this product only 4 stars; 5 stars all the way for me! I now own four of these polishers and all my operatives love them. Not only do they last 5+ times longer than the cheap ones, but if you start to get vibration from the motor you can buy new genuine brushes cheaply on the internet or from De Walt. Combine this with the THREE YEAR WARRANTY (Registration required) and it doesn’t make sense to buy anyone else’s.
Excellent choice even for non-pros. I’m no professional, but this polisher has been great as I renovated the paint on 4 cars. The main thing I like is that the trigger is very variable; this is so useful well spreading out the polish slowly before ramping it up to avoid splatter. There is a separate max. speed controller too which is in RPM units (600-3000rpm) rather than arbitrary numbers. You get a choice of handles; a bar and a hoop (I prefer the hoop as it’s more versatile). A wool buffer and backing plate is included, but I’m not very keen on wool so haven’t used it much. My only complaints are 1) it doesn’t come with a case and 2) it’s quite loud – like a mains electric drill at full speed. Apparently amateurs are better to start with Random Orbit polishers, whereas this is just rotary. However I found the rotary easier and more predictable, just don’t stay on the same spot for too long and use a high quality polish.
He loves it and claims it is the best one he has used Bought this for my husband who has been doing car body repairs for years. He loves it and claims it is the best one he has used. Light, speed changing is easy and the supplier gave a first class service.
Great quality polisher at a great price I am a professional car painter with over 20 years experience working on high class cars so judge my review on that information.
This is probably the best buffer/polisher I have used to date having used sealey, rupes, milwaukee and CP to name a few.
It is a few hundred grams heavier than say the milwaukee or CP but in use you don’t really notice. It is probably heavier as it uses metal instead of cheap composite parts at least according to other reviews I have seen.
It feels like a quality product that will hopefully last a long time given the reviews of previous models. It also feels well balanced and comfortable to use.
The speed can be set via a rotating thumb wheel switch on the top and changed whilst using it. It can also be controlled by varying the switch you use to start it up, upto the speed set on the thumb wheel. There is a little bit of a kick from the motor as you initially start it but nothing to worry about.
It also has vents that are filtered on it that stops dirt and polishing debrit entering the housing. This is a good idea that should help to keep the insides clean and increase the longevity of the product. This is a first I have seen on any buffers I have used previously.
The polisher also has a rubber cover on the head of it which is another good feature as you usually place it on the floor head first which over time usually ends up scratching the casing paint or the metal.
The electrical lead is quite long and thick which is good if you are polishing a roof as it allows you to reach it and also less likely to damage the cord.
Overall I would highly recommend this product for professional use and amateur use. If you do buy one you will not be disappointed.
The price is also a bargain for such a high quality product.
Excellent polisher and customer service First polisher received returned due to faulty machined backing plate. Whole package was collected the same day and a replacement sent the next day! The polisher has variable speed with a slow start and is Dewalt quality built. Have only used the polisher a few times and does what it says on the tin. The customer service of these guys is excellent.
Does exactly as it says on the ti Top quality product does everything it was bought for. I have bought cheaper products before and they are not the same build quality as this .
