I recently bought a prebuilt PC to replace my 10+ years old desktop, all was well until I realised the graphics card only had 1 HDMI port and 4 Display ports. My current set up consists of two HP monitors that both have HDMI cables.
I needed an adapter to be able to plug in my second monitor but couldn’t due to there only being one port. When looking through amazon at HDMI splitters, which I assumed were what I needed to be able to use my second monitor, I released it wouldn’t solve my issue.
I bought this adaptor, plugged my HDMI cable into the female connector and the Display port male connector into my graphics card and within 0.5seconds my second monitor was working.

Not a good review as I could not get this to work with my monitor on my new Windows 10 laptop. Good quality but not sure I had to change some settings so I bought an HDMI to vga instead which worked first time.
Works as described, I wanted to hook up my TV to my PC so I could play games with a controller sat on my bed but my GPU only has 1 HDMI and 1 DisplayPort. Both my TV and Monitor only support HDMI so I bought this hoping it would work. No problems, I am able to do what I wanted and I can also use the speakers on my TV for my PC. No problems at all

Connects the display port on my NVIDIA 1060 to a HDMI cable connected to my second monitor. Not a lot more to say except it was cheap and arrived the day after I ordered it.
So I bought a graphics tablet that required a hdmi connection but having 2 monitors already using the hdmi and dvi slots (dvi adapter to rescue) so I figured I needed an adapter to use the display port. This worked perfectly and now I’ve all 3 connected at once.
If you need an extra hdmi connection but only have display ports left then I’d recommend you get this.
It was relatively cheap (6), arrived promptly and works a treat. What more can I say.

I travel round the country on business doing a lot of presentations. Often when you turn up at a venue the screen cable requirements don’t work with what your laptop can produce so a converter is required. That’s why I got this. Works as intended but gets jammed in gpu and is very hard to remove which is a problem as it may cause damage to the gpu.
Bought so I could have a second monitor for my PC as my GPU only has one hdmi output. Works as intended, only downside is that it doesn’t support 75hz but after rereading the description I see that it does say up to 60hz so thats my own faul
Thought I would warn people in the same position as me.
When it works it is perfect – I had been using it without issue until I changed to a different computer.
The new computer was a Beelink GTR-Pro and the cable doesn’t work at all. The display port is fine as I tested with a DisplayPort compatible monitor.
I’m wondering if it’s to do with the maximum resolution?
Anyway, I’m waiting to hear back from Beelink to see which adaptor they reccomend (they are aware of some incompatibilities).
So yeah would have otherwise given 5 stars.

The feel and build of these is good, they definitely are not a flimsy item that will break easily!
No audio for me on Windows 10 to my 1080p monitor with headphones plugged in. Picture is fine. I’m PC savvy and have tried all the different audio inputs etc in Windows but to no avail. I’ve had to order a headphone extension lead to be able plug imy headphones into my motherboard and change the audio playback channel to get sound.
Ediit: I take it all back. The next day the model of my monitor showed correctly in Windows which it didn’t at first, and now there is audio also
This is my second purchase so I can use all 3 outputs on my Graphics card, no obvious loss of quality and unlike other adapters these sit next to eachother nicely without any issues on the back of my PC.
This does convert dp to hdmi but only supports 1080p 60hz NOT 4k in anyway shape or form tried 3 monitors 5 different hdmi cables and all yeild same 1080p only.

Does what it says on the tin, however the clip you press to take it out of the graphics card is pretty poor and needs some persuasion to engage, that being said you shouldn’t really need to take it out once it’s in, that aside it’s all good
A little difficulty attaching the HDMI cable – no rejection on the adaptor.
I’m using the cable to connect my third monitor (1080p 60hz) HDMI to my GTX 1080 GPU (the only slots I had left were Displayport). The cable is working fine and I have not come across any problems.
i ordered this in hope to use my ps4 on my monitor but it did not work how ever i managed to make my laptop work with it. its picture quality was amazing but as i said i ordered it for my ps4 and so i returned it. if your looking to connect your ps4 to a monitor you will need to look at a dvi to hdmi
Easy to install, similar price to a cable that supports HDMI on one end and Displayport on the other so I guess you do have choices….
This little adaptor does exactly what it says it does. Image quality is retained at original quality with no issues so far.
This enabled me to connect my HP laptop to my monitor with an HDMI cable, hadn’t thought I could do that so really please. The picture on the monitor is better than on the laptop itself so no picture quality lost via the adapter and cable. Cheap and user friendly really pleased with it.
My partner got this as he is proper into his pc gaming and he loved the quality that his monitor had when he used this instead of a HDMI port! He said he would never go back now so this is a defo win for us!

Thought the ports on my PC were HDMI so couldn’t understand why the HDMI lead wouldn’t fit. After realizing my mistake I wasn’t sure if an adapter would affect the picture quality but it certainly doesn’t appear to have. Fitting is simplicity itself and after hitting the “auto” button on my monitor the display adjusted everything in seconds and the picture is clear, stable and flicker free A+++++
Really good quality and works how it should. Only negative comments are, my HDMI doesn’t fully fit it (still works perfectly, just doesn’t look nice) and that there is a pad that you have to press to take it out of the DP slot. It’s quite stiff and doesn’t need to be there. Overall a great product for its functionality 🙂
This is a quality made product that I’ve been using for some time with no issues. My work laptop is abut 6 years old (due to be replaced soon I hope) and has no HDMI out, because at the time this was not common in smaller form laptops with a 13″ screen. I chose the smaller model for the weight reduction, so had to buy this adapter to connect to larger screens in the office or at home. It clicks into place with a secure feel and even comes with a cover for the display port end when not in use. Just remember that the adapter transmits the video signal only, not audio, so any sound will still come directly from the laptop. Good tool for the job I need it to do.
I use this on my center monitor in a 3 monitor setup. Works great. Picture quallity is great, am unsure about the color quallity because I can’t actually see color.
Had a micro computer )Dell Optiplex 3020 micro PC with a displayport. Wanted to hook up to TV with HDMI but it’s standard displayport and not ++ so I needed an active adapter to convert to HDMI. Audio works perfectly using this adapter.
I purchased this because my work laptop doesn’t have HDMI (I know, I know…), but I have SO many HDMI cables already! I didn’t want to purchase a separate cable just for my work laptop. This did the trick; it’s the perfect size (very very short, but I don’t want a long cable as the HDMI is long enough). The inserts are sturdy and well made; they don’t shift around in the ports, so it doesn’t feel flimsy and you’re not worried that you’ll break the port or cable. A simple but effective solution that I’m quite happy with.
As above, bought a Dell Optiplex 9020 to use as a Linux Mint media PC under my TV, but the PC only has VGA and display port connection. This allowed me to connect the PC to my TV and works brilliantly. Simple effective solution at a great price.

Purchase prompted by having to work from home. Allows me to use my 37in TV as a 2nd screen to my laptop. Works great. Be watchful of the clip which stops it from working its way out of the laptop. You need press it in to remove it. I nearly forgot this and could have damaged the socket by pulling too hard. Thankfully I remembered in time!

I needed this having discovered that what I thought was an HDMI port on my laptop, is a ‘displayport’ which I’d never heard of. I have an HDMI lead that came with my new monitor, and this adapter connects it to the laptop and it all works. I thought I’d plugged the HDMI lead into it fully because I felt a click, but I didn’t have a good connection so I had to push it in more firmly then it was ok. Removing it from the laptop needs a lot of wiggling but perhaps it will become easier with use. It seems well enough made.
I switched from and HDMI to HDMI connection from my HP Laptop to my HP monitor, to an HP Display Port to HDMI connection. I didn’t want to buy a second lead, so this was the obvious solution and it works perfectly.
A perfect little adapter that allows you to plug in HDMI monitors into modern graphics cards that only have Display port outputs, I have not had any issues with the picture I have used it with a 4K TV, Oculus rift and a wide range of monitors.
I have had this a while now and had no issues. It’s much better than the one I had previously, which was all one stick, and I think the weight of that set up is what caused it to break.

I didn’t have two HDMI ports on my son’s GTX 980 for a second display, so I needed a Display port to HDMI adapter. Plugged directly into the Display Port of the GPU (graphics card) and HDMI lead Into the adapter and all was recognised. Works perfectly. Would recommend
Fast delivery good bit of kit worked first time with no difficulty
There were times when I thought about giving up. Stuck in the jungle for months on end. The rain, that totally immersed our bunker at night, making it a true mud hole. The Sun, that baked us in the day, our skin peeling and blistering under its intensity and unwavering conviction. Mosquitos that loved us for our blood, and gave unto us diseases that some still carry to this day.
Nothing compared to the Viet Cong… We could hear them at night. Rustling trees, ferns… they moved like ghosts, and I’m sure had they wanted us erased from the world they surely could have. I don’t know how I survived. Many went mad before they were able to get home. Broken by the extreme. By the fear of what would happen if they ever descended upon us.
I still can’t sleep at night, without gripping my 1911 under my pillow.
All in all it’s a pretty good adapter… but it can’t take away the memories.
Not much to say really does what it’s designed to very happy
The product came well packaged. The Display port side has a removable cover to protect the plug. HDMI side was covered in a plastic wrapping.
The only downside, IMHO, is the cable between the two connectors. You can feel and see the individual wires twisted under the external sheathing. Expected a better cable at this price.
Used this to go from the extra outputs on my new gaming pc. Carried picture and sound from what is otherwise a port I have no use for. No drivers or faffing, just plug it in and the hdmi monitor after that.
