- It’s not for the monitor with DisplayPort input, it’s an uni-directional adapter.

its amazing quality, but...
i ordered this in hope to use my ps4 on my monitor but it did not work how ever i managed to make my laptop work with it. its picture quality was amazing but as i said i ordered it for my ps4 and so i returned it. if your looking to connect your ps4 to a monitor you will need to look at a dvi to hdmi

This enabled me to connect my HP laptop to my monitor with an HDMI cable, hadn’t thought I could do that so really please. The picture on the monitor is better than on the laptop itself so no picture quality lost via the adapter and cable. Cheap and user friendly really pleased with it.

Amazing display
My partner got this as he is proper into his pc gaming and he loved the quality that his monitor had when he used this instead of a HDMI port! He said he would never go back now so this is a defo win for us!

No complaints, good product.
On my TV display the resolution wasn’t 100% screen size, and I couldn’t achieve this even changing all settings available. However if you don’t have an HDMI this little product allows you to view laptop videos and images on your TV via HDMI port, so it it does what it says. Unsure if this resolution issue was just down to my TV or not.

Positives and negatives
Really good quality and works how it should. Only negative comments are, my HDMI doesn’t fully fit it (still works perfectly, just doesn’t look nice) and that there is a pad that you have to press to take it out of the DP slot. It’s quite stiff and doesn’t need to be there. Overall a great product for its functionality 🙂

Great for older laptops without HDMI ou
This is a quality made product that I’ve been using for some time with no issues. My work laptop is abut 6 years old (due to be replaced soon I hope) and has no HDMI out, because at the time this was not common in smaller form laptops with a 13″ screen. I chose the smaller model for the weight reduction, so had to buy this adapter to connect to larger screens in the office or at home. It clicks into place with a secure feel and even comes with a cover for the display port end when not in use. Just remember that the adapter transmits the video signal only, not audio, so any sound will still come directly from the laptop. Good tool for the job I need it to do.

I use this on my center monitor in a 3 monitor setup. Works great. Picture quallity is great, am unsure about the color quallity because I can’t actually see color.

Small but Excellent Quality
I purchased this because my work laptop doesn’t have HDMI (I know, I know…), but I have SO many HDMI cables already! I didn’t want to purchase a separate cable just for my work laptop. This did the trick; it’s the perfect size (very very short, but I don’t want a long cable as the HDMI is long enough). The inserts are sturdy and well made; they don’t shift around in the ports, so it doesn’t feel flimsy and you’re not worried that you’ll break the port or cable. I have an HDMI lead that came with my new monitor, and this adapter connects it to the laptop and it all works. I thought I’d plugged the HDMI lead into it fully because I felt a click, but I didn’t have a good connection so I had to push it in more firmly then it was ok. Removing it from the laptop needs a lot of wiggling but perhaps it will become easier with use. It seems well enough made.

I switched from and HDMI to HDMI connection from my HP Laptop to my HP monitor, to an HP Display Port to HDMI connection. I didn’t want to buy a second lead, so this was the obvious solution and it works perfectly.

For 5.95, it did exactly what I needed it to do without hassle; it connects a displayport slot on my Zotac Geforce GTX 1660 (not Ti) to a standard HDMI cable connected to the HDMI port on my LG 32LF7700. Visual quality is the same as it would be connected HDMI to HDMI (from the Zotac’s HDMI slot), though the Displayport connection allows for better management of a dual screen setup and will display the boot screen and BIOS (HDMI will not).
The adapter is short, so be sure you have a HDMI cable of adequate length, and enough space between your rear I/O and the wall to accomodate the slightly stubby adapter part.

Graphics card only has 1 hdmi port and that is used by the oculas rift so needed this for the monitor to connect via hdmi to a display port. No issues so far looks well made so happy thus far.

Bought this to transfer picture and audio from my PC via DisplayPort (on GTX960) to Hdmi on my Sony TV. Works great.
Fit for purpose
We use it to connect a pc with a projector to watch movies and it does it fine (image and sound). It is a bit difficult (button hard to press) to remove from the display port, but I guess it gives stability to the connection.
