Was given a rather large parasol didn’t realise just how big it was. So needed something substantial to keep in place. You can use either water or sand. I’ve opted for sand at least that way it doesn’t evaporate. & it doesn’t turn green in the bottom. Easy to put together & works brilliantly

Decent plastic that looks like it will do the job well. Don’t stand on the lids however, these are flimsier and are certainly not designed for parasol cover tippie-toes. The system all interlinks together and will definitely be more manage in 4 quadrants. One thing to be aware of, they aren’t watertight, so be prepared for evaporation. Quite a bit evaporated during the last insane heat wave, and as a result, the parasol came crashing down. Absolutely nothing to do with the product, just a stupid user! Pleased so far.

Well designed, only drawback not all parasol poles fit, has to be 5cm. diameter.

The weights arrived promptly and are good quality. They were very easy to fill and assemble and have a flat top to put pots of flowers on , making it look very attractive.. I would definitely recommend.

Used with a 3m easy up Parasol. Wide footprint and thick plastic gauge should ensure a firm footing. Best filled with sand. Easy set up and locks together.

    Good strong base.

This parasol base definitely stands out. It’s different to others, has a good design and is easy to use.

Bought a cantilever parasol online which didn’t mention that it had a pedal at the base, so I had to amend this base to fit as i’d already bought it. I wouldn’t recommend doing this as it’s not designed for this purpose.

I simply put in sand and it really does hold the parasol in its place.

    I would recommend this base.

    Good design good value

Early days yet and with a history of 7 parasols (all damaged by wind over the years) but these base weights look the business and I am optimistic they could be the answer. Appear to be well designed and manufactured and easy to fill owing to the removable lids. Everything locks together.
My last stand weighed 40 Kilos and still blew over in a stiff breeze. This time I have used wet sand for maximum steadfastness.

  19. MauriceRodman says:

I like they way the sections ‘link’ together. Makes everything secure and stable. It took 3 ‘large’ bags of sand to fill the sections but they’re so stable now they won’t be moving any time soon.

    Very happy

Filled just with water. Parasol isn’t going anywhere!
The lids are a little flimsy so if a person stood on the base they might crack, but plants are fine on it.

    Good

These were easy to assemble and far less fiddly than the ones you have to fill through a hole as you just laid them flat and filled them (we used sand and then wetted the sand with water). We get quite a lot of winds where we live so will see how they fair when it is a bit more breezy but so far, so good. Overall we are very pleased with these.

Well impressed, & where can u find something GB made these days & service Vgud, seems very well made too, well impressed. Special base G-blocs from same place to suit & got sharp-sand only required 3x 25kg bags to fill all 4sections-no water, as need full weight re high winds here. All fitted together no big deal.

We chose these because they look better than any other parasol weights that we saw, they fit together easily making a flat surface suitable for plant pots if desired, they are lighter to move about because they depend on the addition of wet sand when in position, they are suitable for nearly all cantilever parasols and their price is much better than any other weights that we saw.
Unfortunately, the cantilever parasol that these blocs were going to be used with proved unsatisfactory and had to be returned for a refund so we no longer needed them.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSections slot together nicely and one whole bag of sand per section just about fits in nicely, have to press sand down if its wet and at first it doesn’t look like a whole 20kg bag of sand will fit in each section, abit of pressing down and it does.
Best of all the flat top allows plant pots to be kept ontop to make it less of an eyesore because it’s plastic and doesn’t look great on it’s own, a decorative or stone counter weight costs alot of money so abit of decorating doesn’t hurt ! It adds some more weight too.
Very happy with the final outcome

    Flat top allows plant pots!

To fill this to capacity used a bit over 80kg of sand. The blocs fit together well and are good quality with no scratches, bulges or plastic flashing at the edges. The lids clip on fairly loosely so am not sure how they will stand up to some wind. I hope I dont have to chase them around the garden when it gets windy. Lol.

    Very good quality

Completly open top is the easiest thing to fill with builders snad and water on the market .
This gives it a 100kg base.

The units click together very easily, looks good and holds the parasol well.

We intend to place some flower pots on the the base to make it less visible, ie beautify it.

It comes well packed, but the sections took some considerable effort to get them apart as they had been pressed into each other. It took two people to seperate them.

Bought these for our cantilever parasol and they fit perfectly. The four base pieces overlap each other and sit securely on the parasols legs and look great too. We have filled ours with water only and these have held the parasol securely in place through some high winds we had recently . The base piece lids clip on securely and will not blow off easily and stop little hands of our children getting into the bases. With water the bases weight is approximately 60kg total but with sand this goes up to approx 80kg and if you add water to the sand this can increase to around 100kg so I doubt they would move easily and that the parasol would be blown over easily in high winds and also I’d say if a child tried to push it over it would not move . I may change tue water to sand in due course but at the moment I’m happy with how the base with water n is performing
Overall I’m really pleased with these base blocks and they look great too .

Brought this base to go with our new divine parasol, the base looks good and is sturdy but one of the sections arrived very badly cracked and so cannot be used. Rang customer services and they were very good and are sending out a replacement part. hopefully get that soon. Overall its a good sturdy base for our parasol. We assume the carrier broke the part as we cant imagine it leaving the warehouse like that, what I will add is , there needs to be more packaging in the box as there was only a few sheets of brown paper which did nothing to protect it, and nothing to actually take a hit whilst being thrown about by who is delivering it. So based on, poor packing and being damaged it only gets three stars, otherwise would have been five. Updated today due to first class customer service. The damaged part which was reported has been replaced. They sent out a brand new base without hesitation. Five stars deserved.

I have waited until the bad weather to make sure I could give a proper review. It held my rather large parasol in place a treat, but the test was whether I had to chase it around the garden in winter after the parasol is packed away. Result!! It is exactly where I left it after 2 recent storms. I have personally used water to fill my base rather than sand (was thinking of moving if I needed to as it is easier to tip away water rather than lug sand around) and I have had no issues. Very pleased.

I have had problems finding a suitable weight to stop our cantilever umbrella from becoming unstable and falling onto the table (and our kids at one point!). However, the G-Blocs did the trick brilliantly. They are easy to assemble and heavy enough to stop the umbrella wobbling, even in a strong breeze. They also look cool as they fit together and provide a platform that’s big enough to put plant pots on. We’re really pleased with our purchase and strongly recommend it!

The packaging was not in great condition when it was left on my doorstep, which lead me to suspect that it might be damaged, but it wasn’t. Seemed easy to assemble. I filled it with sand which and then water
It has not shown the slightest hint of being unstable
It is quite large but we have a large deck and tucked it behind one of the sofas

I chose these weights for 2 reasons:
    1. All the others had to be filled through a small hole, which has to be fiddly. whereas removing the lid and pouring water or sand straight in seemed far easier.
    2. They join together without leaving any gaps for debris to gather where others had visible small pieces of metal joining individual weights together over the gaps

From opening the box, putting the weights in place, filling them with water and clipping the lids on, took less than 10 minutes. They could not have been easier to install and they great.
I’ve got a large 3 metre parasol and I opened it up once the weights were in place. There was a slight breeze, but the base remained stable and at no time did I think it might topple. I also have the option of taking the lids off and pouring some sand in for more weight if I feel it’s necessary, but there doesn’t appear to be any need to do that just yet.

I’m really pleased with the purchase and would recommend these to anyone.

We were having terrible problems with the parasol blowing over in the slightest breeze the tent peg style pins were just not man enough for the job. With the addition of the Divine Style G-Blocs Cantilever Parasol Base Weights using a combination of sand and water our problems were solved.

We ordered these parasol weights late on Saturday they arrived on Sunday. They were well packaged and will be easy to assemble. We are going to fill them with river sand which will be simple. When not in use we will be able to store them in the garage. The material they are made from is very robust. We are extremely pleased with them and the service we have received from the company re registering the guarantee.

I like that I can fill the open lids rather than through a small hole in the side as with other weights. So far I have used water only and it hasn’t been tested in high winds. However, from my experience, it is usually the umbrella which breaks first so will be careful to take in down in advance.

I bought a cantilever parasol and it was immediately obvious its base needed something to keep it from falling over! These base weights are absolutely spot-on to do the job. They are made to sit neatly over the parasol base. All you need to do is fill each of the four segments with sand or water (I used water and they provide perfect stability), click on the lid of each segment, and away you go! As simple as that! Brilliant item!

Absolutely essential item for your cantilever parasol!

This is a very good product, I was drawn to the simplicity of the design. It is very easy to assemble (comes well packaged). All base parts interlock around the pole, can be filled with sand straight away due to it having lids. Once filled the lids click on and it is a very sturdy piece of kit.
It’s holding a 3m wide cantilever canopy with ease. It is a big base but I don’t think this detracts from it all.
Measurements are as the diagram shows but the height of this unit from top to bottom is 11cm.

Love the fact these are lightweight whilst you get them into position and then easy to fill with water or sand or even both if you need extra weight. They connect together easily and once filled you click the covers on. I have had a few sets of standard concrete weights that break if knocked or dropped and had cheap plastic that need to be filled from a small hole which is impossible. They way that these have been designed is great. I couldn’t be happier.

Easy to assemble, well made, very stable and can be filled with water and/or sand. Colour is a great match with my parasol. However, this base is NOT suitable for parasols with a foot lever as it means one of the quarter segments does not fit flush with the others because the lever protrudes. Unfortunately I failed to notice this in the description when I purchased, entirely my fault. So we have kept the base and will have to modify one of the segments (notch out the plastic) to get it to function better, but realise this will probably invalidate our warranty.

Good product, but don't buy for parasols with foot leve

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersComes flat packed. Looks and feels sturdy.
The fully removable lids make filling it with sand/water (or probably better still wet sand) is simplicity itself.
Lids snap on with a click, but are easy to remove when needed.
The level surface the lids provide can easily be used for standing plants in pots (unlike a number of other designs). This even adds extra weight, as well as making the base blend into the garden around it if that’s what you care for.

As this has been a blustery summer to say the least, it’s been tested in practice. The 3 meter parasol and base have remained rock solid.

I modified the base to fit with a pedal operated parasol, which was simple enough to do, and I don’t think it compromises the integrity / strength of the base

And one last thing which I liked, and I would like to see more of: It did not need to be shipped half way around the world. This was designed, built, packed and posted in Britain, AND it was competitively priced.

These turned up and straight away we were impressed with their quality. Very easy to set up and fill. We noticed some cracks in one of the lids that likely was due to damage in transit. After speaking with Mark from iSeekGadgets, he arranged within 24 hours for a replacement to be sent out. Can’t fault the customer service or the quality.
