Nice unit – with all the bits and pieces I’m likely to need, plus some others I may never use. The carry case is great, and the optional wall mounting serves a purpose of holding the Dremel securely within that case. Still, it’s a bit cumbersome to take out repeatedly, so I may need to review that, as I am highly unlikely ever to mount it.
This is the first venture into the Dremel brand but not this style of tool as ive always purchased cheaper off brand versions.
Im pleased to report that the difference between a real Dremel and the tools and attachmnets provided is considerable .
The Dremel itself is a beast compared to my off brand copy and so much more powerful and well made both cosmetically and in hand feel.
On mine the lowest speed setting causing the motor rpm to waver a little so ill have to keep an eye on that but this maybe normal .
Really pleased i picked this up during Amazon day deals and lookimg forward to years of use out of it.
I have now used this for a multitude of rotary tool tasks, and it has met or exceeded my expectations. The bench-pillar stand has been a useful combo with it, and the variable speed settings are very useful. I would recommend purchasing the adjustable drill chuck attachment to go with it, as it saves the faff of changing collects for different attachments.
One of my ‘go to’ tools when doing smaller DIY jobs.
Purchased this 3 years 2 months ago to do one job, was brilliant and did what I wanted in 30 mins.
I now went to use it again and within 10 mins it stops working, I think the motor has blown.
I contacted the Bosch service desk and they just couldn’t be bothered, one line answer basically telling me they cannot help.
What a joke, lasted 40 mins. I might as well have purchased a cheap brand and could not have lasted much less time.
Do not waste your money buy another brand.
This item comes with a European plug, not a UK plug. I have been offered and accepted a 10 refund so I can purchase an adaptor plug, so upped the rating a star.
Excellent tool, bought as a replacement for my radiospares drill that’s served me since the late seventies, Purchased as a refurbished and checked item so a litle cheaper, really great quality and able to accommodate a wide variety of readily available accessories, perfect for every task you can think of, i wanted the very best and got the best.
most US-based Dremels were only rated to be used 110V and luckily I’ve found a UK seller who delivered my item quickly. I’m very happy with Dremel 4250 and its accessories. The basic set will be good enough to start home projects.
Could have bought cheeper, buy cheep buy twice, if you can afford Dremel buy it, the cheeper one’s are ok , but if you want a product that lasts buy Dremel, I’m very happy with my purchase
Bought during” Prime Day” great value for money and trusted brand
Bought this set because it was a real bargain on Black Friday. It arrived exactly as described and I have been using it since without any problems. It has many accessories and is simply a fantastic piece of kit.
Got this tool as it was recommended to remove a very inaccessible plastic nut , which held the toilet seat on.
This tool is very easy to use, even though it came with no instructions.
You tube vids helped me figure it out.
The easy fit cutting disks are great ( it comes with 2 of these)…. but the plastic toilet nut broke one.
don’t even try the paper thin 250cutting disks for this job… they shatter.
i ended up just using an old soldering iron to melt the plastic nut off , and then prying it up from the top. … in case anyone has to change their toilet seat.
This Dremel 4000 Rotary Tool 175 W, Rotary Multi Tool Kit with 4 Attachment 65 Accessories is a great piece to add to your collection. I can well see me using this in the summer months for many projects.
Especially after i get some practice in with the many different heads.
The box it comes in has a guide to the uses of the different heads on the back of it.
Yes i would recommend this tool. It may not have done what i bought it for, but i can see me using it for many many more fun projects.
My old cheaper unit gave up the struggle so I treated myself to the “proper” one. What a revelation! So much more powerful and smooth. Anyone needing to do fine grinding/drilling/polishing work should splash-out and buy one. A shame that only one collet size is supplied as standard and you need to spend a little extra to get a much more useful adjustable chuck.
Whilst I’ve been pleased with my FERM cordless units I wanted something with some grunt, mains powered and that was versatile. I wasted my money on a non Dremel unit and figured I’d finally make the leap to a Dremel.
Yes, it is as good as people say, massive amounts of power that with the right bit will eat through what you are working with. Longevity I don’t know about, but I have registered it for the additional warranty. My only gripe is why the heck don’t they include a more flexible cable? It is very solid and not easy as in colder weather the cable is very rigid like.
Decent range of supplied attachments and a good storage case. Perhaps a tad pricey but probably worth it given I’ve tried a couple of cheaper brands and they didn’t last long!
Purchased during Black Friday sale due to discount to replace cheap copy. I haven’t done any real work with it yet but it is much higher quality and there are many useful accessories available. First impression I am very pleased with the purchase and looking forward to putting it to serious tasks
We brought a complete kit with toolbox so he can keep it organised. It has not been used yet although I already have a Dremmel tool. Impressed with the tool box and accessories, a very good kit. Will still have to add things so he can do all he wants but as a kit it’s well equipped for most peoples requirements.
Great for sharpening blades and sanding intricate parts of my van. Which is all I bought it for. Quality item
An excellent tool. Use it for detailing on my woodcarvings. Wouldn’t be without it.
over the moon, will do the jobs i need to do.
Love my new dremel, works as expected and no issues with delivery
Pro – Dremel is very use full product for delicate wood work, like furniture restoration
Con – Special deal for accessories attachments (non consumable) are missing. like greep attachment, 90 degree angle estc..
Purchased this item based on Dremel’s reputation. The drill works well and has now been paired with the workstation to add more flexibility to users. Too early to determine reliability but so far so good.
The drawer on the box is a little awkward to close but that is nothing for such a great set of tools.
Use this all the time, easy to set uo and use as well asbeing so controllable
……….. Then a Dremel with a flexi drive is the tool for you. However – I would advise a 4000 model [the one with the pokier motor] as we all tend to think we can make less powerful tools do more powerful work.
Bought this to do a small job which only a tool of this type could reasonably do. I went for Dremel over cheaper makes due to their reputation. I was not disappointed. It carried out the task with ease, and I have used it for numerous other little tasks which previously I would have carried out by hand. It has an impressive range of attachments too. I ordered some extra cutting discs at the same time thinking that the two supplied would not be able to complete the task. I was wrong.
I only needed to use one disc, and even that was only slightly worn, and that was cutting through hardened steel bearing rings which a hacksaw will not even mark!
One thing I will say is that it is important to follow the speed setting recommendations for the attachment concerned. It is also important to keep the speed of the motor up by not applying too much pressure, as the motor is fast but does not have a lot of power. It does cut or grind or polish with ease if you keep the speed up so there is no need to apply a lot of pressure.
I’m now planning other projects with this tool in mind. I wish I’d bought one years ago!
