Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersExtremely versatile tool that has many uses. Everyone should have one. Very nice case that it comes in too. Also no wires thanks to it being battery powered which makes it so easy and much safer to use. Still packs a punch too. You might think that a battery operated tool wouldn’t be anywhere near as powerful as mains operated. But don’t be fooled. This tool can really cut the mustard

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have had a corded Dremel for a number of years and have added many accessories, all used to good effect. Bought this cordless version to give more flexibility to various uses. So far very pleased with early results. Will update review when I have seen how long battery holds its charge. Dremel is very highly recommended for its production quality and uses.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersPurchased this to cut a kitchen tap hose off, that the box spanner wouldn’t fit around. Managed to achieve this using the 420 cut-off wheels (there’s 20). One broke, but I was being a bit heavy handed.
2 of the other accessories were missing from the pack – Amazon resolved this with me, so check you have everything.
The case is impressive, although the accessories are a bit thrown together into a small box.
I’m sure I’ll find plenty of other uses for it, so happy with the purchase.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI bought this to replace a Dremel that I lent to one of my son’s friends. I never saw it again! This one is a class above, especially in terms of power. I thought the Bluetooth connection was a gimmick, but it is extremely useful. I bought the battery powered 8260 because I mostly use it in my garden shed workshop, and the app is very useful in letting me know when the battery is likely to run out. Overall an extremely useful and versatile tool.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Usersi originally ordered the dremel 8220 with 5 attachments/65 accessories at the price of 171.11. The next day it was reduced to 124.99 BLACK FRIDAY DEAL, as so i cancelled the original order & re-ordered another. with what i had saved i treated myself to the dremel 724 EX SpeedClic 150 accessory pack of which was also reduced by 47%
There’s a few little job’s need doing with this around the house, i used it today for the 1st time, the neighbour has put long, very pointed screw’s through the fence panel, pointed end my side.
    They were easily cut off.
Looking forward to using it more.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe tool kit was delivered ahead of the estimated time. In fact, delivery was so quick, Amazon was still notifying it would be delivered, the day after it had arrived.
The tool itself is versatile and easy to use and so far appears to be perfect for small jobs across a range of materials. It’s also handy that it comes in its own tool box that holds the main DREMEL tool plus all the components, and which saves having to buy yet another storage box.

I resisted getting one up until now because of the cost. It’s now irreplaceable since it does such a good job.

I’ve only used it for cutting metal so far, but it’s easy to manoeuvre despite being slightly bulky and heavy. Easy to be very precise.

I’d definitely go with the cordless one unless you need lots of power. For modelling work it’s more than enough.

It’s a Dremel and so is awesome.. my only concern is that if you drop it while it’s on the thing will bounce around slicing everything until the battery runs dry.. so keep a hold of it when using it.. dont be like me and ruin the dining room table.. missus still breaking my balls over it .

I can only say I was a little weary of buying another Dremel , they are costly now compared to other brands available now , however the 12v version so far is simply superb , simple to use and I love the freedom the cordless version gives .

I’ve used this Dremel extensively in my restoration of a classic Jag over the past few months. I would have been lost without it! I’ve used it for polishing, grinding, cleaning and sanding. Brilliant! Battery life is OK and power is fantastic.

Hmmmm Now this (I thought) could come in very handy….?
And Boy was I right, the amount of fiddly sanding (or polishing) that it’s done has more than paid for itself!
Me, I’m well happy with the kit, even now – 3+ years later….

I used a corded Dremel for years and wanted a cordless to add to my tool kit.

The 8220 does not disappoint in any way and can do nearly everything as well as my corded Dremel. The only weakness is it has a touch less power and less runtime but that’s to be expected when you go cordless. Otherwise, it’s pretty much flawless in every way.

The only downside is the kit I purchased only included one battery and the batteries sold separately are a bit pricey. That said, the battery does last a long time and charges fairly quickly so a second battery is not necessary for me (yet).

Only had the Dremel a week or so, however build quality is first class. The couple of jobs that I have done so far have proved to be no problem for the tool at all, first impression are good, but like most things in life, only time will tell.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersIt’s a good device but the instructions are none existent. Sure you can find various videos online, but Dremel should make their own video for this specific device and the accessories it comes with. The video should go through each accessory and show how to attach and use those accessories on various materials. Dremel could also have a bonus video showing how to attach and use other accessories which are available to buy. The huge single sheet that comes with the device helps but it isn’t enough. Seems like a lazy option by the company.

I’ve only used this a handful of times but it’s been a great tool so far.

I used it to clean up my old Estwing hammer which is over 30 years old and had become very rusty and lacklustre (see photos)

The hammer came up great using a combination of an orbital sander and then the Dremel tool with sanding drum attachments to finish all the fiddly bits. I did need to charge the battery after a while but it’s fully charged again in just under an hour so I got on with other stuff while waiting and then came back to finish the job

First product I received had a faulty battery. No amount of charging could bring it to life. Returned and Amazon sent replacement. Newly received product works perfectly.

Instructions could be better. Some better quick-start brochures or booklets would be helpful. The standard manual is just not great.

Bought this as an addition to my ever expanding took chest. I was somewhat sceptical it being battery powered, however I needn’t have worried. It does all that the cable operated ones do. Only downside is the lack of the updated 3 jaw chuck.
Very handy tool for anyone `handy`.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI did intend buying the Dremel 8200 with 65 accessories, but when placing my order it was out of stock so, rather than wait, went for 8200 with 45 accessories. My mistake, only one battery instead of two and case not worth the plastic its made of. I am surprised with Dremel; its a quality tool yet packaged with no thought at all to the user. I don’t mind it being a cheap plastic case, but I would expect the components to fit snuggly. the only thing that fits is the hand tool; it looks like a case made for another items and bundled together at the last minute. I looked up the Dremel website to see if I could purchase the other case (looks somewhat more substantial), but alas no, not for sale. Dremel obviously do not need the money when their are impatient fools like me around. Docked a star for this reason only.
