This thing is amazing, I’ve been having more orange juice than ever before. It’s like having a fanta, but natural! Also, white wine and fizz? Easy sparkling wine brother!
I had a soda stream from some years ago, but the machine doesn’t work, and I still had a half bottle of CO2. A new soda stream would cost about S$180. This costs less than $120. Without CO2 canister. Which I have. And the Drinkmate is compatible with Soda stream CO2 canisters. I read some reviews that said the Australian canisters have a different screw thread (connection). Was a little worried, but my old Soda Stream CO2 canister fits the Drinkmate (no screw thread issues). (IIRC, I got my soda stream in Singapore. So should not have an issue.) What was different though was the carbonation cap. Drinkmate has a detachable carbonation cap, whereas the Soda stream’s carbonation “cap” was built in (not detachable). The cap also fits a bottle with proprietary locking lugs. The Drinkmate comes with one such bottle, but Soda Stream bottles will not work with Drinkmate carbonation cap. So my Soda Stream bottles are just for storing the carbonated water. Or for mixing. Oh, Soda Stream replacement CO2 canisters are about S$28. Drinkmate charges S$24 (includes S$4 delivery fee). They do not have a lot of outlets so delivery is more convenient for me.
I gave this as a gift and I’m told it works wonderfully. It does everything its supposed to, it is very user friendly, and they absolutley love it. Highly recommend it as a gift !
I can now turn my box wine into sparkling wine. What more can I say? This machine is AWESOME!!!!!
In Singapore, where its so HOT, nothing beats a refreshing drink of sparkling water. This hits the spot every time. Easy to use. No complaints and no regrets. I use it at least twice a day.
It’s better then soda stream I think. Works nice, looks decent enough. We drink way more water and use the water flavour liquids squirt things. It can fizz any pulpless liquid
While the price was also a huge incentive, our main reason for choosing this over Sodastream was the ability to carbonate cocktails and other beverages. Very excited to play with it some more!
I love my DrinkMate. They said you need really colder water but I am getting great results with room temperature water. I am I’ll and can’t keep getting up to get water for the fridge so I keep my DrinkMate buy my chair and I just fill the bottle with water in a water picture.

The back is removable allowing you to quickly attach a large commercial grade Co2 tank instead of the pricy ones. I have a 20 lb tank that costs as much to refill as the soda stream little ones at Roberts gas. Two very simple adapters are all you need for about 15 bucks and you are good to go for pennies on the dollar for carbonated water of any flavor. I use organic fruit juices and filtered water. Put in as much juice as you like for taste, for me on a half-liter bottle is about 1 part juice and four parts water, perfect flavor without all the calories and you set the amount of fizz by how many Co2 Shots you put into it. Just make sure the latch is locked before you shoot the Co2 or plan for clean up on aisle 1.
It’s so awesome to carbonate my rum for rum and Coke’s, now my rum does make my coke go flat.
Absolutely love this thing, I’ve been experimenting with different syrups and mixes for weeks now, trying to capture the flavor of sodas and energy drinks that are no longer available (looking at you, Jolt Cola Blue).
A little bummed that the bottles are proprietary, but it makes sense in regards to safety as well; if it used a standard sized bottle neck, people would try to carbonate standard plastic bottles and likely blow them up.

I absolutely love that I can carbonate anything I want with this! It’s an excellent device. My only complaint is that the bottles are not as durable as I’d hoped.
Very easy to use. Read the instructions first and then you’re sorted. Great bubbles and you can decide the amount of bubbles (carbonation) you want. No plug so can sit anywhere you wish. I’m delighted with this product. I got white as my tiles are white so it blends in.

First to me it seems to do a better job at carbonating plain water than the SS I had previously. And I really enjoyed the SS.
When you add the ability to carbonate almost anything it is the clear winner. The fact I have bought into this actually shocks me, as I thought it was something I would never actually use. Making bubbly koolaid for my son (and who are we kidding me) is great. No need to add powder or liquid to a bottle as the last step and have it bubble out. Also making a carbonated cocktail just kicks it up a notch.

I had previously owned a soda stream and then went back to buying canned sparkling water. I was going to buy another soda stream until I started researching for the best sparkling water maker and found this one! I was sold on it carbonating drinks other than water. I have made OJ carbonated – tastes just like a mimosa without the alcohol! I plan to use it mostly for water and mocktails. It is perfect for mocktails and cocktails!

Good purchase, works really well. It is difficult to get the gas canister online (must be a safety precaution) but it works with the SodaStream canisters that you can get at TOTT in Singapore. Very happy with the purchase
Have been searching for a solution to buying soda water for a while. Had the soda stream and didn’t find it bubbly enough. This makes the bubbles you want. It’s the real deal. Plus you can bubble juice or combo water and juice and it makes things sparkle!
our office loves it. I bought a different one for my house. (different brand. Drinkpod) while I like both units. this one is far better. just read the instructions on how to make the carbon last…press 0.25 sec. wait 1 sec. repeat until it escapes from the valve. shake once. wait 1 minute and it will be great.

Love that with this one you can carbonate any drinks (juice, koolaid, cocktails, etc) and not just water, unlike the competing brand where you need to rely on their syrup to a flavour to your drinks. Easy to use. Very satisfied.
So…I bought the Drink Mate and couldn’t be happier. It takes one extra step of putting the fizzing gadget on the bottle, but it doesn’t leak, ever. You can fizz things besides water, which is a bonus. I especially like the bottles. I put some pure cranberry juice and lime in my seltzer, and the Soda Stream bottle turned pink and couldn’t be returned to clear. The Drink Mate bottles stay clear. I am very happy with the Drink Mate.
All soda machines use the same tanks so the carbonation is about the same. This machine can carbonate anything that does not have solids to clog the tip. Because the valve and tip stay on the bottle when you take it out. So no gas escapes until you open the bottle to drink. You can even shake until the gas inside totally dissolves. So even though I mostly carbonate water, this is superior.
The built quality is about the same as the basic Soda Stream, plastic. The bottles and caps are similarly nice and sturdy. You feel better when you can take out the valve and tip to wash. You can actually carbonate something else with the Soda Stream but washing the tip is a problem.
I wrote a review that the product wasn’t working but customer service finally answered the phone and told me how to move the plastic part with the groove at an angle to get the bottle back in. So works well, aside from the co2 canister coming a bit loose at times and having to tighten it.

Strong bubbles, bottle seals well and keep water fresh. I hope soon I can order an other bottle, they promised it in May. Highly recommended.
I am so glad that I didn’t spend the extra $ to get the Soda Stream. The DrinkMate is so easy to use, fits in wonderfully with my decor and is lightweight. I use it almost everyday and find the bottle is just the right size for me to do 1 or two servings at a time. Love it!
This machine kills it! It is way better than the Soda Stream. I have had two in the past, and the last one I bought was terrible. It did not work from the moment I took it out of the package, so I was reluctant to buy one again. I’m glad I made the brand switch, because this Drink Mate works wonders! Just be careful to release some of the gas with the button before opening the bottle to pour our the soda or you might hurt yourself!
I had read that the SodaStream carbonators don’t add as much fizz as store-bought soda, but the DrinkMate definitely does the trick under full pressure. You’ll be wasting some of the CO2 to get that, but if you like a strong “burn”, this device will do it.
Update: We’ve been carbonating at 6 pulses per charge, which yields nearly 80 bottles (about 68 liters) of soda—well above the rated 60L on the SodaStream cartridge. Our local Target exchanges SodaStream cartridges for about $15—nearly half of the cost of a new cartridge.
Great product for carbonating your liquids. Simple and easy to use. Plus it is compatible with the CO2 canisters sold for the soda stream.
The DrinkMate works better than SodaStream and saves money! I have purchased five SodaStream carbonators. Most put more CO2 into the air than into the drink. They should be expected to break within two years.
The DrinkMate has been easy to use. It puts more gas into the drink. So my money is not spent on replacing new CO2 cartridges. We have only use it for more than a month, and it has not broken, only used one gas cartridge, and gives a bubbly drink.
Update: 5 stars now that you can get bottles in Canada. I wrote a 2 star review formerly, because you couldn’t get replacement 1L bottles in Canada. That seems to have changed, and we just got our spare 1L bottles in the mail today!
Does what it says. I use this to drink carbonated water, and avoid flavored pop. Easy to use once you operate it a few times, and not much else to it that can break.
I love this machine. If your thing about buying a machine, buy this one. Easy to use. The syrups you can get are really good. I bought the caffeine free diet cola and I could not tell the difference from a can of the store bought pop, soda. There are so many flavors to choose from.
So fun and easy to use. Does what it’s supposed to. When you carbonate liquids that aren’t water, there can be a lot of foam that you need to be patient with until it dies down.
So far I am very happy. Simple design, easy to use, does not take much space. Can carbonate a bottle of water in a few seconds.
My husband and I bought this because we were spending so much money on Perrier and because we wanted to be more conscious of the waste we were contributing to the environment. We are really pleased with this product. It doesn’t hold the carbonation for more than a few hours, but it’s quick to make, so you can easily carbonate something right before dinner or a party. I would definitely recommend this! We use it all the time and are saving lots of money and the environment!
