This practical 1-litre cordless jug kettle shares all the benefits of the 1.5 litre kettle, with a smaller, space saving element. The large viewing window on both sides features cup level indicators so that you only boil the amount of water you need, saving on time and electricity. The hinged easy-fill lid is easy to use and has a large heatproof knob with finger guard to prevent burning.

I wanted a small kettle to fit in a specific place in the kitchen, and one that was wasn’t too heavy as I have weak wrists and osteoarthritis in my fingers. This suits me perfectly.
Excellent quality, compact and perfect size for just two people, boils really quickly and looks great. Love the handle shape which makes easy pouring , lid pops up easily and the base that swivels is an excellent idea. Cannot fault it – go buy one now!

Love this dumpy little kettle, a pleasure to use with my arthritic hands, we did have to loosen the lid catch a liitle, you are given clear instructions on how to do it and it was easy. Just right capacity for 2-3 cups. Don’t know why we didn’t get one sooner.
Having purchased this kettle I think most kettle should be this size, don’t know why I hade a large one I didn’t need and was to heavy

I ordered this I litre kettle as I have arthritis and a large kettle is just too heavy. This kettle is ideal for myself and my husband. It looks lovely too and matches all the other stainless steel and black items in my kitchen. Very pleased with my purchase. Have had friends say that they want one too now.
I have the large version at home, which I am delighted with, but hardly ever fill it above the 3 cup mark When my daughter moved into a flat with a tiny kitchen, the smaller version seemed ideal – it can make 4 cups of tea or coffee and she has not had any problems with it being too small.

The handle seems to be ergonomic and is definitely easy to lift for a 75 year old. The lid opens easily with a knob on top.
There has been hardly any limescale issues so far and i live in a high limescale area.
The kettle spins freely on it’s base and is easy to use for left or right handed people and has a level indicator on both sides.
This is a 1 litre or 2 pints, a small kettle but it easily makes 4 mugs of tea or coffee.
Even though this is slightly more money than other kettles of this size i would definitely purchase again.
This is the best kettle I have brought previously had a Brevill 1ltr sent back within the first year the second one just lasted over a year and out of grantee
The Dualt very sturdy easy pouring do not get the steam on my hands unlike the Brevill which kept burning me

Great kettle, but it is only 1 litre which makes 3 mugs of tea a struggle. The kettle has been breat for the last 2 years until my 15 year old son had the brilliant idea of using it to boil milk. Suprisingly the Dualit is not up to this reasonable task. However, I’m thrilled as I now have the excuse to replace this great kettle with the bigger version and jave a great story to embarrass my son with whenever he makes hot chocolate. Hopefully his next brilliant idea wont be to make soup inside the kettle….

After more than two weeks of daily use , I found the Dualit Mini Jug Kettle is the best kettle I ever used.
Definitely FIVE STARS.
The good things about it are,
It is light, easy to use and quick to boil
Its small size is good because I end up just boiling the amount I need.(I’m hoping to save both electricity and water)
The spout is well designed so it pours well.
The not so good things are,
The colour of the flex and plug is black despite the rest of the plastic being in the off white colour shown.
The hinged lid has been a bit stiff to start.

My daughter had one of these and I thought it was brilliant. When my husband makes a ‘normal’ coff he always fills kettle up. With this you can’t. Fill to max for 2 mugs, brilliant. Highly recommended.

Dinky little kettle, but due to it”s 2200W, it has that water boiling before I can throw some coffee into the cafetire (and feed the dogs)!
Beautifully designed, & a pleasure to use. It just needed a careful tweak with a pair of pliers to slightly flatten the 2 lugs in the lid so that it was easier to flip it open to fill.
Bought as a replacement for a previous small Dualit kettle. Good quality stainless steel kettle ideal for boiling small amounts of water without the horrible plastic taste of plastic kettles.

It is perfect for me, though may be a little small for family. Ideal can’t overfill and waste electricity.
Excellent product, as there are only two of us in the house that are coffee/tea drinkers this purchase haste made perfect sense in terms of efficiency. Initially we were a little concerned about the size but it actually makes perfect sense, if filled to max you can easily get three mugs.

I like the look, feel and handling of Dualit products.
I first bought one of these kettles after I had an accident leaving me amongst other things with a very painful shoulder. I could not manage a full size kettle at the time so this was great. It lasted 7 years and I replaced it. As there are only two of us in the house, this amount of water is adequate for all our hot drink requirements, and what a saving on electricity.
Quite the best kettle I have had, it is robust and neat on the worktop. It is made to a high standard, I also own a Dualit toaster and the same applies.

Handy for it’s purpose in that not too much water needs be boiled at one time. The opening lid is a little stiff to open at first but through time it eases and is absolutely fine.

I wanted a smaller kettle to prevent my husband from boiling far too water much every time he used it. It has certainly helped, and the gauge at the side enables us to see the water level easily. The kettle is lightweight to use and with its big handle it would be worth considering for an older person or someone who finds it difficult to lift heavy weights. It also seems to respond well to limescale de-scaler. I have had to do this once so far and it came up like new. The downsides? The gauge does suffer from water droplets for most of the time, which cloud it, so the water level is not as obvious as it might be. The lid feels a bit ‘cludgy’ to use (I have seen reviews where the hinge has failed, so I am very careful with it). And, of course, it is horrendously expensive to buy. Overall, however, I am very pleased with it and, with those caveats, would definitely recommend.

Purchased for my 91 year old mother, this kettle allows her to pour single-handed. The handle is a simple ergonomic triumph. Its balance is perfect; making it a easy to pour. A rare 10 out of 10.
I have been looking for ages for small but good kettle like this. I have rheumatoid arthritis and find things difficult to lift , this kettle is nice and light so no pressure on my wrists.
I wanted a small kettle at the side of my bed for morning cups of coffee. The Dualit kettle is stylish and very efficient but will still makes 4 mugs of coffee if fully filled. It is ‘cute’
Very happy even though I didn’t realise it was a small one but still makes about 6 cups which is more than sufficient even for a tea addict like me! Lovely to look at and sounds daft but my tea tastes better!

my gf got me a coffee maker for xmas and I wanted a smaller kettle for just me, this is perfect, not totally quiet, but who needs it to be.
You can boil a cup of water which is great and it saves a little on energy, dualit, love it.
I bought this for my Son last Christmas after he put it on his wish list. As far as I know he is really pleased with it.

This kettle is just right for me. It has enough water for 3 medium mugs of tea. Fine, it’s not fast, but is is not slow! And it looks great.

This kettle is lovely and shiny and looks great in my open plan kitchen-lounge. It’s also energy-friendly thanks to the cups on the front so you only boil what you need. A bit noisy but that’s just an observation rather than a criticism.
he kettle was much tinier than I had anticipated but fine for our use (just the two of us)and boils extremely quickly and quietly
I have arthritis and initially found the hinged lid to be a little too firm but solved this very easily using the 3 clearly visible tension pips on the inside of the lid. The result is a kettle which has a secure lid and is a joy and ease to fill in-situ. People with arthritis tend to make adaptations to every day tasks and my kettle-filling tip is to leave the appliance on the stand, open the lid then part fill a lightweight plastic jug with the required water:)
In another section I heard someone complain that the directions of Dualit kettles advise that they should not be left with standing water. This is not in the essential safety instructions but is given as advice for people in hard water areas to avoid rapid scale build up. Taken in context the advice is a helpful suggestion, not a dire warning!

Edited To Add Text- It is now 14 months later and I have had not even one minor problem even though the lovely compact kettle is used perhaps 8 or 9 times a day. It has also never shown any sign of scale, have other people found that or is it just our soft water?
Edit – It has now been three years and this kettle remains one of my better acquisitions with not one problem thus far.
Edit September 2014 – My time really flies, I hadn’t realised that I’d had my ‘new’ kettle for five years but it’s still working fine although the little neon lamp which used to glow when the switch was down has stopped glowing. I remain very pleased with it and have purchased a second so that I have a replacement when my original finally stops working
April 2016 – Still working well, several times every day.
