I was looking for a long running shredder. The description stated a decent run time. However, the machine only guarantees 3 min shred time. I got about 20 mins from it on the first run then thereafter 3 minutes.
It is however very quiet and does very well at micro shredding. Beware not to over fill the bin. The draw style design of the paper collection compartment means the tiny bits of paper goes all over your floor.
Cheap shredders are a false economy. This shredder is ~20 more than the cheapest, and it’s worth the extra. I got A shredder to shred the ~1,000 sheets that I end up with in my yearly clear out. The cheapest one died before I’d finished the job (frustrating) but this one is good and durable – it is heavy but that’s good ‘cos there’s more to the motor, so it keeps going, doesn’t smoke, and doesn’t throw up fine dust into the air when you open the drawer.

Brilliant shreds them into confetti easy to use and on wheels so easy to maneuver.

Instructions state short shredding time, and then resting time which makes this ideal for daily shredding. Most home machines can’t do long stretches of shredding anyway. This machines works well, shreds well, and the rubbish bin is enclosed so no dust or fly-aways whilst shredding. The footprint is small and sits under our desk neatly. It is a bit noisy but not more than any other shredder I have had before.
The switch on the back prevents it from leaning flat against a wall but this is the only negative. Quiet and chews up paper and credit cards much better then the cheap one I had that stopped working
Quality shredder worth the added price over cheaper models. Like the bin pull out to make emptying easier. Handles 6 pages easily. Smaller pieces take less volume.
he only downside to this shredder is the on/off switch at the back and not easy to operate when finger are no longer supple
Had not really heard of this company but took a chance. Very competent little machine. Does the job. I don’t ram it full of paper nor expect it to magically shred pages and pages at once but it works very nicely.
Great product. The wheels are fab as it makes it much easier to move around. The quietest shredder I have ever purchased.

It has wheels, it shreds really quietly, does its job. just make sure you put a bag underneath its bin! it helps with emptying the bucket safely
That spelling does grate though….
I use this for my home office shredding. It is very quiet in use and shreds paper into very small pieces. However, in my experience I would say more like 3-5 sheets at a time works best – no way 6-8 sheets at a time. So fine in normal circumstances, if you have a small amount of shredding to use but I have been doing some clearing out recently and have found it struggles with anything more than about 4 sheets at a time. Also, you need to place the sheets very carefully – it struggles a bit if the sheets are not perfectly lined up togethe

I did the shredding in small stages so as not to overheat the shredder and it worked fine. I would shred about 3-4 minutes at a times then leave the shredder for a hour or so and then do some more. I’ve shred hundreds of sheets of A4 paper and had not issues at all.
I like the wheels on the bottom, which are removable and the slide out draw is a better design than my old version where you had to lift of the top section.
Good value for money and not had any issues at all.

Shreds into small pieces very effectively. The only problem is that the front door needs to be banged sometimes to get it to work.
Got this for my husband for his work and he says that it is better than the last one he had so that’s got to be good

Amazing and very good.it does sherd the papers in very small pieces
Looks very good so far, not that I have had it that long. Quieter than previous shredders I have owned, and feels very robust so far. In terms of security, the resultant cross-shredding is extremely good, also better than previously. The test of any shredder is whether it ever gets jammed up or not; so far nowhere near it, although I have been careful not to overwork it.

It’s great. Very quiet, easy to move around and holds a lot. Best I have had so far.
I found it easier to use 4 sheets at a time, as I could then operate (practically) continuously and I had a backlog to deal with. The quoted capacity of 8 sheets led to the motor heating and then cutting out for a cool-down period. The other factor in terms of capacity was paper quality / weight, some were more digestable then others. Brilliant at dealing with credit cards. The cross cut output made everything utterly anonymous, whilst emptying the bin is a bit fiddly – good practice to empty before it overflows! However, overall a really a very good product.
So far an excellent product. Last shredder I had switched off after a couple of minutes, this one keeps going and microshreds. Quiet compared to others, has wheels (which I don’t use) if needed, easy to empty bucket. Handles multiple sheets at the same time but depends on type and quality of paper so normally do 2-3 at a time but just my preference. For the price much better than more expensive models – surprised it’s not more often included in top shredders.

Bought this to shred hard and brittle plastic film for ecobricking. Has saved me lots of time and blisters…..! Shreds credit/debit cards with ease. Obviously great for micro shredding paper. Certainly worth the price for me..
This paper shredder is well worth the extra money. It is quiet and very easy to use and empty unlike other cheaper shredders I have bought in the past. I would highly recommend it.
Or Shreeder as it says on the casing. It needs cool down time, so if you need to shred loads in a hurry, this wont be for you. If its shredding over a few hours/days, its very good. And it shreds really really small!
I had a massive pile of shredding to do. Couldn’t believe how quick and efficient this machine was. It states it can do 8 Sheets of paper at a time. The max I have done is 6, and this works fine, but Ifound about 4 at a time was quicker overall. It is so quiet and the large bin which can be lifted out easily makes emptying so easy. I can store under the desk, and the wheels make it easy to pull out.
After having had constant issues with my previous shredder, it is a jou to use this one, definitely good value for money.
Easy to use, I don’t do masses of shredding but this obliterates confidential paperwork which means I can then add it to my compost bin on my allotment! Safe in the knowledge it will rot down quickly and be ineligible!

It works well and is very quiet, something that was mentioned before in another review .the on switch is at the back….. Another point is the paper collecting box fills quicker than you might expect. Use Shredder oil as well. Would buy again.
The features above, along with castors which you can fit or choose to leave off (I fitted mine) make this excellent for household or small business shredding. It says use for 3-4 minutes then rest it for 30, but 3-4 minutes has been enough to do a lot of shredding, leaving chance for a quick cuppa before the next lot. Very highly recommended indeed.
Good, powerful machine the shreds paper into very small pieces about 5x10mm.
This was bought as a replacement for an old cross-cut shredder that had simply worn out. It cuts very cleanly and and the micro-cut means that the basked does not fill up as quickly as the cross-cut shredder. It is much quieter than I expected and the removable basket is great for emptying. Would highly recommend.
So, being a believer in the old adage: ‘Cheap’s dear in the long run’, I’m recommending this item.
I chose this one as it looked a bit more durable than some other cheaper one’s, which tend to over-heat cut out too easily.. this duronic one seems to be coping with better reasonsble use before cutting out.. I run my own small business and have need for intermittent confidential paper clear out – doing the biz so far…
Very effective. I have not attempted to stress the shredder – I am happy to use it at 5/6 sheet level. Good for double sheet, folded inside envelope which effectively creates 6 sheet thickness e.g. bank statements.
Brilliant product, very quiet, very efficient, deals with several pages at a time with ease, very small pieces so no problem with security, easy to move and to empty. Glad I spent the extra money – worth every penny.
This shredder is fit for purpose and notably much quieter than my previous one. Have only needed to use it a couple of times since purchase last week but pleased so far. It was packed very secure and delivered promptly after ordering. I would recommend this shredder without doubt.
I upgraded to this machine as I run my business from home and found that my small Rexel which was very good initially was overheating a lot and that made me frustrated. Very impressed with this little soldier. Fits nicely under the desk and shreds several sheets at one time. I did a huge shredding session on the first day and it didn’t overheat once.
The loss of one star is because I find the safety guard over the mouth of the machine a bit irritating. But don’t let that put you off – it’s a sturdy little work-horse and I am very happy with it.
Keep looking for paper to shred as this is unbelievable.

I couldn’t wait for this to arrive and I am not disappointed. The easy of setup and ease of use made it easy for me to get started. Nice big collection bin ensures that I can spend much time shredding, all I need to do is find more things to shred now! I thought it’d be a bit quieter from the reviews but that isn’t to say it is load, it was just my expectation I think. If you like your papers shredded properly then this is the shredder for you.

Fantastic piece of kit, shreds paper and old credit/bank cards very easily into little pieces, making it GDPR compliant. I would definitely recommend this product.
Amazing particle shredder. No one is gluing these tiny pieces of paper back together! Is lighter, quieter, quicker and easier to empty than other shredders I have used. Shreds up to 6 sheets each time easily. When I shredded 6 bank cards back to back, I had to oil it to get things running smoothly. Well worth investing in.
Neat and compact, quiet and does the job better than my previous shredders. No oil required, micro cuts into the container underneath which slides out so no lifting the mechanism and making a mess.
We would recommend it to homes and small businesses without any ifs or buts. It’s that good.

Ordered this machine because I had a load of shredding to do. It came early the next day. On reading the manual it said that the cutter needed oiling “at certain times”. I emailed Duronic and received a reply within a couple of hours – ” Depends on usage, if you are using it in an office oil it every few weeks.” I started shredding immediately and over the course of that day and the next I managed to shred all the bumf I had accumulated over the last 15 years! I did not put much more than 6/7 sheets of paper in at a time but it was so quick it did not matter to me. I shredded some old CDs and expired cards which it dealt with easily. It is early days but I am more than pleased to give it 5 stars.

Purchased to replace a much older “Fellowes” shredder that had done a good job for at least a decade, but was wearing out, so decided to spend a bit more this time, and purchase a more heavy duty shredder and I haven’t been disappointed.
This one arrived the next day and was unboxed and working in moments. Its used for home office shredding, including business documentation so cross cutting was important.
It says a max of 18 sheets – this is a bit pointless really, as it entirely depends on the weight of the paper. I always under load (which is why the last one lasted so long), and haven’t put more than 8 sheets in at once.
Its not as quick as the last one, but takes more at a time, and hasn’t jammed once yet so overall much quicker.
At least 4 times the price of the old one, but well worth the money

This one ticked all of the boxes, however i was hesitant due to there being no reviews. I can honestly say that after a couple of weeks use I needn’t have been concerned. This shredder is excellent and has managed to get rid of a back log of shredding I had waiting in a 5 x ream size empty box. It will even take a small bin liner on the inside of the bin which allows for easier emptying with even less mess. It does state it takes 8 sheets however I find that 5 is thick enough shred at a time to prevent the risk of jamming

I purchased this to replace a much smaller shredder, which had given good service but was simply not up to the job of shredding my ever-increasing quantity of paper. The build quality is excellent and it has handled large quantities of shredding without any fuss. The cooling fans are a welcome addition and certainly do their job well. Feeding the shredder is easy and I have only experienced one small jam, which the reverse button took care of instantly. The shredder handles junk mail, too – unopened envelopes with 4 or 5 sheets of stuff folded over inside. This is certainly the best shredder I have used in the home office environment and it has now given a month’s worth of sterling service. In summary, easy to use, very quiet and well built. Highly recommended.
Cons: a little louder than my last model, we use in a quiet office (this is really a personal thing)
Cut size: this is a cross cutter machine and not micro cutter, but it does have a decent size cut, approx. 20-25mm long by about 5mm wide
Would definitely buy another one of these machines good value for money so far.
