Very quiet when shredding, convenience of being on wheels and easy emptying. Only downside is only 3 minutes run time and 30 minute rest time.
It’s easy to move around as it’s on wheels, and is pretty quiet and reliable. Sheds efficiently.
The only negative point is it is difficult to know when the tray is full.

The box came a bit damaged but there was another undamaged box inside the damaged one so the shredder was perfectly fine; that’s more of an issue with Amazon delivery. The shredder was easy to fit (just had to pop the 4 wheels in). It’s a fair size and can fit 60-100 pages shredded before you need to empty it. I was a little disappointed when i saw one small shredded piece of paper inside the bin as this means I was sent a shredder which had already been used by someone else and returned. However, everything is working fine, no damage, no issues at all so I’ve kept it. (we have all returned stuff before which would be passed to other!). The microshredding is great and gives you that extra peace of mind. The wheels means it’s easy to manoeuvre and stow away, and you can remove the wheels if you want to place it on a table. It shreds cards as described, and I also tried to keep it running for longer than 3 min and I had no issues. I also tried more than 8 papers and it still worked fine (although I would advise to follow the given instructions). Overall, it does exactly what it says and I’m very happy!
The results are very good – you can be confident that personal/sensitive data will be finely shredded and impossible to reconstruct. What is also good is that the bin is easy to remove, that it operates quietly and that the unit is manoueverable. A tip I would give is to line the bin with something such as a paper sack which can be lifted out as this makes emptying even simpler.

Very happy with this Duronic shredder, one of my best buys. The shredded pieces are acceptable small for me.
My last shredder could have probably been considered a little bigger than a desk shredder. It was very noisy and prone to overheating. I had to feed the paper sheets individually which was a frustration.
In contrast, this is outstanding. It takes up to 18 sheets of A4 in one go and processes these much faster and with less noise. The large bin means I can put a bin liner in there, shred away and simply pull out the drawer when done, remove the bag and dispose of it.

Much quieter than my previous shredder. Wheels make it maneuverable. The container fills up surprisingly quickly because the shredded paper is ‘scrunched up’ during cutting. The main negative is that the on-off switch is difficult to reach at the back of the unit when tucked under a desk or positioned against a wall. It would be very difficult to layout the shredded pieces in a manner that would allow the contents to be read and therefore the shredder is excellent at carrying out its prime function. I would buy the same model again if I was starting the buying process again. Recommended
What I like about it is it’s quietness and the impression that it’s up to the job. It works very efficiently and cuts paper into very small pieces so it’s very suitable for shredding sensitive documents such as old bank statements etc. It is heavy but this adds to it’s robustness. Unlike other shredders I have had you don’t lift the shredder unit out to empty it. The bin pulls and slides out from the front. The only drawback is that if you let it overfill you end up with the shreddings all over the floor! The way round this is to put a bag inside the bin and empty it fairly frequently and this saves a lot of mess.
This shredder is far superior to any shredder I have used before. It’s quiet and easy to use. Emptying us a dream as you just pour the paper out and into your green bin! Yes it is more expensive but well worth it as it is so much more efficient and not as deafening as other heavier shredders that have come into our house!

Unit is quite big for household use but has handy castors on the bottom. Shreds brilliantly and securely. Would highly recommend. *****

I purchased Using for home use so far a great shredder runs very quietly compared to my previous one. I love the micro cut very secure. Seems to have a good long run time before it needs to cool. Definitely would recommend this one.

I have had a few shredders and each one got shoddier and shoddier and each apart from the first one of 10 years ago went into the bin pretty quickly . I paid a little more for this one and it’s good , it’s quiet it’s small it shreds into tiny pieces and it empties without a mess , yes it’s good
Compact micro-cut shredder that is quieter than my previous shredder. Cuts around 5 sheets at a time comfortably but wouldn’t want to put more through at a time. Easy to use. Has a maximum 30 minute usage time, then needs 30 minutes cooling-off before can be used again.
A dream compared to our old shredder!!! Really good value for money. And a lot quieter and smoother than our old shredder.

Owned a few shredders now and this is by far the best. Very quiet, the shredded paper actually goes into the bin rather than around it and it shreds very evenly into the tiny pieces advertised.

Love that it is on wheels as I have to keep it stored and bring it out when required. Shreds paper with no issues and hasn’t cut out yet, my old one used to cut out constantly.

Shreds to absolute nothing; so you have no fear of letting out vital information.
Used it a few times to shred paper and, so far it works well. I was wary of the two minute operating time but this hasn’t been a problem and so far hasn’t stopped during operation. It’s quiet as well.
Easy to set up – rollers on base make moving very easy. The clincher and star item is the removable bin which slides in and out of the casing making disposal of shredded papers easy
The shredder has only had light use it since it’s arrived 4 weeks ago but I am delighted with the results for shredding confidential documents. The cross cut is very effective and I would recommend this unit to anyone who is concerned about disposing of confidential documents.
Good for personal use. Do not expect to shred tons of paper for hours it is not designed for that. For personal use, works great. Would buy again from the vendor.

I`ve had straight cut and cross cut shredders, but this micro cut is miles better. It is quiet, quick, efficient and so easy to empty with it`s pull out drawer. I`m rattling through a backlog of paperwork which I couldn`t be bothered with as my previous shredders were such a chore to use. This one is a joy to use.

Super little shredder. Paper comes out in little pellets. Great for animal bedding? Very quiet nice big drawer easily lifted out for emptying. On rollers so moved easily if needed. Reverse control switch if a bit of a blockage.

The shredder works well although not sure about the capacity number of sheets.
I am impressed & happy with this shredder. In comparison to my old shredder, this is quieter, easier to empty & the cross-cut shredding performance is significantly better. There is no bunching up of paper bits in the shredding mechanism. I would recommend this to a friend. I am not a paid reviewer.
Sleek lines fitted well in my room. Easy to move about, easy to use and easy to empty. Good enough for me!

Nicely rounded at the top, the approximate size of the micro-cut shredder is:
~ 34 cm wide x 44 cm high (with castors in situ) x 23.5 cm front to back
It all comes down to the thickness of the paper in hand, but I think that 8 sheets at a time is optimistic and it would need to be ultra-thin paper. A maximum of 6 is more realistic, IMO, but that was not a main consideration for me when researching the various models available within my budget.
Arguably, it is not the fastest either, but it is the first time I have used a MICRO-CUT shredder, so have nothing to compare it directly to. Suffice to say that it is reliable, just requiring a couple of paper lubrication sheets (in my case) per month, in terms of maintenance.
The instructions include:
~ …’remove all paper clips and staples from paper before shredding. The shredder will cut staples and small paper clips, however, discretion is recommended.’
For me, it is an added bonus to be able to lift out the whole bin for emptying, rather than lift the mechanism, which I had to do on my old one.
HANDY NOTE: I find that the bin contents tip easily into an Amazon E36-size cardboard box (image below refers).

The boxed shredder is heavy on arrival8.5Kg printed on the box side of the one I received. However, the cardboard packaging is sturdy with an internal cardboard liner box to aid safe transit.
The 6.4 kg shredder stands on 4 easily inserted castors that make it very easy to wheel across the floor ~ it is wise to warn people how easy it moves to those not aware!
Due to the weight distribution, it can also tilt on an uneven floor, so it is best to push it from the side, if moving, in my experience.
Without the castors, the shredder is not the easiest to move, I find.
There is an odd plasticky type odour out of the box, which did hang around for a fair few days, in my experience.
Like me, the shredder simply stops when it has had enough automatically(!), which is a safety feature. It also stops when the 14 LITRE CAPACITY BIN is full. There can be residue outside of it, i.e. in the shredder shell, which can get dusty, as does the bin.
The flex housing prevents the shredder back from being flush with a wall, but it is still easy to knock the red coloured, rocker POWER SWITCH (OFF/ON) at the back left of the machine, also in my experience.
The READY light at the front shows green when the bin is correctly in situ.
The FORWARD & REVERSE switch is at the front.
It comes complete with a straightforward, multi-lingual INSTRUCTION pamphlet that includes WARRANTY (1 YEAR).
I can forgive the misspelling of ‘SHREEDER’ on the top of the machine I received, for it has proved to be a very handy addition to the ‘filing system’, as the data sensitive document boxes diminish in quantity and I am starting to see the office floor again!

Easy to use – 2 buttons! Good size bin. Shreds perfectly and I used it continuously for about 5 minutes. Only minus I’d mention is that it slows down noticeably when you put more than one sheet at a time through it. Doesn’t matter to us; we only need to shred personal stuff once every few months and for that its perfect – one sheet at a time. Not sure it would be suitable for ‘heavy duty’ use – then again, for the price….

It arrived nice an timely, and easy to work from the off. I popped the wheels on easy enough, but was a little disappointed as the wheel cover fell off – but this is just a minor detail, it doesn’t affect it working in anyway.
Having a massive clear out I had got to work trying to get rid of old bills etc. Not being allowed to burn anything in our area, I sat at the shredder for hours turning the paper into thick strips and paranoid (in today’s crazy world of who’s going to go in my bin and put the pieces of my old financial life together to steel my identity, rob me or something else that only our minds cant imagine but fear anyway.
The strips still held full words (Ahhh!) so my husband said you can soak them, so I put three full rubbish loads into bin liners and filled them up with water. Some of the bags being so heavy got a tear and started to leak & didn’t get rid of the words until I put bleach in. Then I had to get them into the recycling bin and hope it would be taken away as it then weighed a ton.
Moral of this sad, crazy story.

The shredder is extremely quiet and the shredded paper is so well shredded it could be used as confetti. We were pleasantly surprised at the shredders performance and happy that we chose a Duronic Paper Shredder.

Quiet in operation, fitted with four wheels making it easy to move. Cannot comment on reliability as too early. Great improvement so far on my previous shredder that only lasted 18 months.
This is a lovely compact shredder and is very quiet in use.
It is easy to move on it’s casters and the bin is easy to empty.
My only thing against is the very sharp edge around the bottom of the machine which cut my finger moving it before I got the casters fitted.
Otherwise an excellent machine.
I was looking for a long running shredder. The description stated a decent run time. However, the machine only guarantees 3 min shred time. I got about 20 mins from it on the first run then thereafter 3 minutes.
It is however very quiet and does very well at micro shredding. Beware not to over fill the bin. The draw style design of the paper collection compartment means the tiny bits of paper goes all over your floor.
