Cercavo un buon tagliasiepe senza dover spendere eccessivamente, soprattutto per l’uso sporadico che faccio.
Appena lo prendi in mano ti accorgi della solidit che, vero, magari pu andare a scapito del peso come qualcuno giustamente fa osservare con qualche recensione. Ma altrettanto vero che la leggerezza di questo tipo di tool potrebbe lasciar pensare sul materiale utilizzato. Al momento nulla da eccepire, a mio modo di vedere: taglio preciso, buona funzionalit, pratico e abbastanza maneggevole. Io taglio una siepe di cipressini di quasi 3 metri di altezza, lunga una 30 di mt, ovvio, con qualche giorno di pausa da un taglio all’altro. Non sono avvezzo a questi lavori ma…ce la faccio bene.

Secondo me fatto veramente bene con buoni materiali, e il suo lavoro lo fa egregiamente.
Avendo una siepe alta l’ho usato in entrambe le due lunghezze, utilizzando anche le varie inclinazioni della sega.
Molto bello che l’impugnatura abbia una rotazione di 180 gradi, in questa maniera pi facile tenere il tagliasiepi anche quando lo si deve inclinare di lato.
L’unica nota dolente (nel vero senso della parola) che specialmente usando la prolunga, il peso dopo un po’ di utilizzo si fa sentire, ma immagino non possa essere altrimenti se si vuole qualcosa di resistente.

Ho sentito un po’ il peso in testa dopo averlo usato per circa 15 minuti. Comoda l’impugnatura e la prolunga per raggiungere i rami pi alti con la possibilit di piegare la lama di taglio. L’ho anche usato come decespugliatore, in attesa che mi arrivi quello specifico con filo che ho ritirato, e devo dire che ha lavorato bene.
Piccolo consiglio ai neofiti: per prolungare la vita di questo potasiepi (lama e motore), prima di effettuare un qualsiasi taglio, ricordatevi di lubrificare per bene la lama (in caso di arbusti particolarmente resinosi tipo le tuglie, anche durante il taglio) con del buon olio (io utilizzo il Motul per 4 tempi… praticamente quello rosso).
Poi non fate come fanno certi: questo un potasiepi e non un decespugliatore o una falciatrice… NON fatto per tagliare l’erba, quindi non stupitevi se… non la taglia ma la sfibra . . .
Pratique mais un peu lourd a trimbaler.
Reste trs fragile, ne coupe bien que les petites haies et les feuilles, si par malheur vous rencontrez une grosse branche , le moteur lache en forant.
Tagliasiepi costruito con buoni materiali, pratico, funzionale preciso come taglio . Si pu regolare a piacimento sia in altezza che in inclinazione. Non ho dato 5 stelle perch il primo che ho ricevuto aveva il motore che sfiammava, sostituito ho dovuto pagare 7 di tasca mia per la spedizione.
I am writing this review on behalf of my husband as he got over exuberant playing with his new toy, got writing cramp – so to speak!! He is 74 years of age and our hedge is ten feet high and about 40 feet long, but it did the job admirably, or was it the one with the sore arms!
Arrived in good condition and the assembly of the unit was easy. The blade guard was well stuck on the blade and over the fatter section below the blade so it needed a hammer to drift it off the blade. Slides on easily now. Recommend using the harness which has a cunningly easy quick release. Ideal for keeping my thorny pyracanthus looking neat and makes the job much easier than balancing on a ladder with a small hedge trimmer. The hedge is much taller than and is behind a brick wall. The pavement slopes fairly steeply along the length of the hedge so standing on the pavement with this pole cutter is ideal. Appears well made and is at a really competitive price.
I made the mistake of buying a GTECH hedge trimmer to trim privet and black thorn hedges. It just wasn’t up to the job but the Einhell GC-HH 9048 Electric Pole Hedge Trimmer breezed through the seasons work with no problem. It’s quite heavy but well build and strong.
Die Heckenschere hat eine gute Schnittleistung. Durch die unterschiedlichen Einstellwinkel hat man viele Mglichkeiten.
Allerdings ist das Gert recht schwer, daher auch einen Stern Abzug. Wenn man allerdings keine 100e von Metern an Hecke zu schneiden hat, sollte ein normal gewachsener Mann damit gut zurecht kommen.
Taille annuelle des haies d’arbustes en tout genre. vite l’utilisation d’chelle ou chafaudage. Magniable et lger compar d’autres types de taille haies
Tagliasiepi potente e robusto, ha un buon bilanciamento quindi si opera senza eccessiva fatica essendo il motore posto nella parte inferiore dell’impugnatura, taglia con facilit rami da 1 – 1,5 cm logicamente lavorando senza fretta, una volta tagliata la siepe
ripasso con la scaletta e trancio di netto con la cesoia quei pochi rami sfilacciati, il rumore sopportabilissimo, qualit prezzo ottima, servizio Amazon impeccabile, lo consiglio certo di fare bella figura. Una cosina suggerisco, stendete a terra sotto la siepe un lenzuolo o telo, durante il taglio lo scarto si adagia sopra e sar semplice e veloce raccoglierlo per metterlo nel sacco del verde. Altro consiglio di pulire bene le lame alla fine del lavoro usando alcol bianco (ottimo detergente oltre che disinfettante) e lubrificare con una spruzzatina di WD40….
(hierbei Amazon sehr kooperativ, es ging reibunglos), habe ich eine ziemlich dichte und breite 10 Jahre alte Kirschlorbeer-Hecke (2 m hoch) mit der (zweiten) Schere geschnitten. Es funktionierte auf Anhieb hervorragend, fand das Gewicht des Gertes auch ertrglich (bin keine besonders krftige Person), wohl habe ich wiederholt Pausen eingelegt. Leichte Handhabe, guter Schnitt, bin sehr zufrieden! An wenigen Stellen musste ich mit der Hand nachschneiden, da sehr dnne weiche Zweige nicht unbedingt erfasst werden. Das ist aber kein Problem, dafr werden die dickeren festeren ste gut geschnitten. Klare Empfehlung.
This has worked well on the privet hedges that we have but we are having a problem with the spring on the tilt. When I tried to visit the site to register the guarantee it was in a not in English and I gave up. My husband is going to have a good look and see if the spring has just slipped out of place. It is a heavy machine and my husband struggled to use it for long periods and he does not usually have those sort of issues.
Only used this once so far ….it seems to be easier to use with the motor sited at the back of the machine rather than at the cutter end …..it makes it feel counter balanced so easier to hold ….it made a good job of the shrubbery that I trimmed…..hopefully it will continue to do so for many years …
Il prodotto sembra essere abbastanza robusto in rapporto al prezzo contenuto. Comodo, maneggevole e dotato di un buon numero di snodi per orientare sia la lama che l’impugnatura. Ha una potenza di taglio non eccessiva, ma per un uso non intensivo secondo me non va male.

Fully extended, these trimmers can be quite heavy after a while. However, the reach is much further than my original trimmers, making these much quicker to use. You can leave out the extension pole making the trimmers much easier to use when extended reach isn’t needed.
1 Stern Abzug vergebe ich fr das Gewicht. Bin doch etwas erschrocken, als ich sie gestern zusammengebaut und getestet habe. Fr einen Mann warscheinlich kein Problem, aber fr mich war es doch etwas beschwerlich…
Di negativo ho trovato la prolunga, che a mio avviso poco versatile perch con soli 50cm ti fa scegliere tra un’asta lunga e un’asta un po’ meno lunga – avrei preferito un’accorciamento pi marcato, oppure una terza combinazione con rimozione dell’intera asta. Altro punto dolente l’assenza di un aggancio fisso per la prolunga elettrica, c’ il classico anello per non tirare sull’innesto spina/presa ma volante quindi un po’ traballante e a lungo andare temo solleciti troppo il cavo.
Just used my Einhell pole hedge trimmer/cutter for the first time. Works a treat on my thick laurel bushes, cuts with no blade jamming as on my old hedge trimmer. It is a bit heavy and cumbersome to hold so you definitely need to use the shoulder strap to take the weight. Overall well worth the buy as i class it as an industrial hedge trimmer and not a B&Q toy type one that packs up when the going gets heavy.
Apart from aching stomach muscles (as I couldn’t be bothered to put the shoulder strap on properly), which won’t do me any harm at all, this made the messy hedge look very tidy. And it made the job so little effort, I’ll be able to repeat it several times each season.

This is a decent tool. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. It’s only limitation is in the size of stem it can cut, but it is certainly good enough for 99% of hedge cutting.
Heavy to use – the shoulder strap I found to be vital – but a long reach, and cuts well. Difficult to store the disassembled trimmer in its original box.
Arrivato con 5 giorni in anticipo, praticamente consegnato dopo 2 giorni, sono rimasto piacevolmente colpito dalla robustezza dei materiali, sembra ben costruito, montaggio molto semplice seguendo le istruzioni in italiano, per ora l’ho provato su una siepe di buganville lunga 15 metri alta circa 2,5 metri, che per anni ho potato a forbice e scala impiegandoci una quarantina di minuti e con grande fatica, col tagliasiepi ci ho messo si e no 10 minuti, fatica minima. Detto ci, l’oggetto ha il suo peso, ovvero il motore e l’asta sono abbastanza leggeri per una volta assemblato la lunghezza complessiva dell’asta rende il tutto abbastanza pesante da manovrare, io ho usato la tracolla e devo dire che un bell’aiuto, inoltre il motore abbastanza rumoroso, cosa che personalmente non un problema, la lama taglia senza alcun problema le siepi ma non va bene per rami pi duri spessi pi di 1cm, quindi se pensate di potarci alberelli, rametti, non va bene, le siepi no problem. In definitiva sono molto soddisfatto, credo che sar un grande aiuto in giardino ( e un bel risparmio sul giardiniere ), non ho trovato difetti particolari, l’unica cosa che avrei voluto in pi ed il motivo per cui non d 5 stelle, una lama leggermente pi lunga che avrebbe accorciato i tempi di lavoro, questa va bene ma appena sufficiente come lunghezza.
Normally I would use a battery powered hedge trimmer standing on a step ladder but just occasionally there are branches that are too thick or the ground is not suitable for the step ladder. That is where this beast comes in. It doesn’t give you any extra reach but you can reach from the ground and it feels like a semi-professional bit of kit. So it is earplugs in, helmet and goggles on and away we go.
Nicely made, clear instructions. Heavy to use, but they probably all are. Harness of use when carrying but not when being used. Easily adjusted to achieve the required angle of cut.
Very good product, well manufactured and got the power to do the job. Does cut out often but I put this down to overheating.

I agree with other comments that it does take some getting used to with the shoulder strap and can start to weigh a little heavy after long use. I was confused with the handle twisting positioning, but once you grasp the basics and get the shoulder strap to the ideal length where it sits without you bearing too much weight the blades cut through the hedge with ease and you can keep quite a straight line without the need for any guides. I only have a 6m hedge but it is 3m deep and backs onto a farm so is hard to keep under control & it is a mix of hawthorn, holly and i only keep it for the wildlife. This tool is a godsend and easily one of the best products that i have ever bought.
It cut through thicker branches than I expected, and much quicker than my ageing short reach trimmer.
Everything was there in the box, including instructions, however I put it together and tested it, before reading anything. It was very simple!
Came with a 13amp three pin adapter, but I altered the two pin euro plug to fit an extension that I had.
The shoulder strap is handy, however I didn’t use it much as I found it a little fiddly to put on and off, and as I am reasonably fit for my 68 years, I didn’t need it!
I nearly forgot to say, I was using it high up and sometimes at full extension!
For the money, I think it is pretty good!

Excellent machine bought directly from Germany. Unfortunately it had just a short, 150mm, electrical lead with a Euro connector at the end. There was a converter but bulky and awkward. Bought an extension cable from EBAY with UK 3 pin at one end and Euro at the other. Problem solved.l
Used for the first time and it did the job ! However, it is fairly heavy and will build up the muscle if you have to use for a long period of time !

My only quibble is the locking pin in the index able head is poorly designed & keeps coming apart (clip & spring part company) & it would be easy to loose the small parts if you are not careful.
All in all a great piece of kit.
The main thing, is it allows me to get at the various bits of my hedging I could not get at before. For the money I would say it is a very good bit of kit.
Diese Heckenschere arbeitet zuverlsssig und macht einen einwandfreien Schnitt. Sicherlich hat die robuste Technik ihr Gewicht. Um einigermasen ermdungsfrei arbeiten zu knnen, sollte man den Haltegurt mglichst kurz einstellen, damit das Hauptgewicht von der Schulter getragen wird, da der Motor und das Metalgetriebe-Gestnge nicht gerade leicht sind. Qualitt hat eben ihr Gewicht im Gegensatz zu den simplen Stab-Heckenscheren, bei denen die Motoreinheit am Kopfende beim Messerbalken sitzt. Diese sind dann auch entsprechend kopflastig. Fr diesen gnstigen Preis sollte man unbedingt zugreifen, da die Technik der professionellen Motorgerten gleichwertig erscheint. Bei entsprechender Pflege, wie Reinigung und ein paar Tropfen l nach jedem Gebrauch, hat man diese Heckenschere sehr lange.
Heavy when used at full length, but is a good bit of kit.
a very good product it is powerful and is a lot lighter than I expected . it was delivered on time and well boxed.
Taking the above into consideration, an electric powered version seemed to be the best option for my needs. This unit appears to be very robust and has good power delivery from the motor. It copes very well with thicker parts of the hedge and is nicely balanced with the motor at the rear. It does get heavy after using for a while and I found that my shoulders were completely burnt out after cutting my large front hedge and regular breaks being taken were a necessity when working for long periods.
The motor does run hot and I do get a slight burning smell when in use but it has cut my hedge which is around (6 metres long x 2 high x 1 wide) 4 times now in the year or so I’ve owned it as well as other trees and it has not shown any signs of wear and all parts are still working great. So for the money I’d have to say it is an excellent bit of kit.

How high you can cut obviously depends on your own height/physique. I am 6’1″ tall and with cutter straight I can reach about 4.1m (13’6″). For cutting the flat top of a hedge I am limited to about 12′ height and the blade length of 1’4″ from each side ie if you can access both sides you can cut the entire top of a hedge 2’8″ thick.
All in all, thoroughly recommended.
I noticed that a few of the earlier reviews highlighted problems with the cable being too short, but I guess that might have been due to these being the standard German model (I think Amazon sometimes fail to check properly for UK compatibility). My trimmer came with about 10m of black cable and a standard UK 3-pin plug; it also has an Einhell UK sticker (see first photo that I’ve attached), so it looks as if the UK importers are customising it for the UK market. Some people might prefer an orange cable for safety reasons, but I don’t think this matters so much for a pole cutter as the blades will usually be a long distance from any cable.
One thing to bear in mind is that, although the motor seems powerful (900W), quite a bit of the power will be lost through the very long square drive mechanism – the only real drawback of this design. To me, the cutters only seem as powerful as a trimmer of about half the power (say 450W) and it’s not nearly as powerful as my Bosch mains-powered standard hedge trimmer which is rated at about 700W. That said, it does cut through hedging very well – I’ve tried it on hazel and privet so far without any problems. And it’s far better than my previous cordless pole trimmer that would get snagged very easily in privet. I’ve attached another photo that shows the square drive mechanism – a little blurred, but you should get the general idea.

I did a lot of internet research before getting this, and am glad I did. I was initially minded to get a rechargeable pole cutter, but in practice found the cable no problem at all – I have an extension reel. The lack of battery improves the power-weight ratio, though as others have reported this is not a light machine. However, this is likely because it is really solidly built, inspiring confidence that it will last. Also, with the motor is at the bottom of the pole the weight was quite well distributed and I found it quite easy to manipulate in a long arc at full extension. I didn’t really find the shoulder strap that useful – though that could be because I haven’t experimented with moving the point of attachment. It cuts well – not as powerful as a petrol trimmer but easily enough for my purposes.
The best part is that I was able to cut a really tricky hedge much more successfully than I have been able to before. The garden is higher than the road, and form the road side it is about 4.5 metres tall. I was able to reach the highest parts by holding handle about my head, the weight not a problem with the pole vertical. The hardest operation was cutting the top of the hedge, which is about 2 metres wide, and for this a ladder is an absolute necessity. I found that without the extension I was able to stand on the ladder and manipulate the cutter held at 90 degrees.
It is an easy process to fit or remove the extension, though, as others have pointed out, the nut falls off into the grass if you loosen the bolt too much. In practice, you only need to loosen a little to slide the extension in or out, so little danger of losing the nuts once you know.

This really is an excellent bit of kit. For the price the quality and performance is outstanding. The adjustable handle makes for easy use and without the extension piece it is well balanced, obviously a bit more awkward with the extension fitted. It cuts well and weight is OK, just about. All in all an excellent buy. The Amazon description is wrong. It’s not telescopic and there is no carry bag. Amazon change this.
Great piece of kit. Nice long lead and a UK plug. Easy to put together. Very well built. Cuts really well, trimmed and shaped some conifers as well as the hedges. Took advice from a previous reviewers tip and oiled the cutting blades before use. Very pleased with the item and good service from the supplier.
Excellent. Exactly as advertised. Very prompt delivery. Having researched carefully before buying, this hedge trimmer has proved to be good quality and I have used it twice so far. Very pleased with it. Contrary to some reviews it came with a long lead and a British plug.
I’m a reasonably fit (male) , used to German made quality /materials, and had read the reviews pointing out the heaviness of the item: however still surprised at just how heavy it is ! Should last, but beware this aspect if it might be an issue
This is a quality product, and has the advantage that the weight of the motor at the bottom balances the weight of the pole and cutting blade at the top. This means it is a lot less tiring in use even with the extension pole fitted. The D shaped handle, however, cannot be re-positioned on the extension pole. It comes with 10m of flex fitted with a square pin plug, and therefore is not quite so easy to store, as the flex has to be coiled away to avoid kinking. It would be much easier in my opinion to have a waterproof cable joint close to the motor which could be detached easily when not in use or moving to another area of the garden. It does not come with a storage bag, only with a sheath to cover the clipping blade.
In use, it is very efficient, and both the blade and the motor can be angled to shape tall shrubs without having to use a ladder.
Perfect. Dont forget you will need a power cable. I ordered mine for not much and sold on amazon. But this…. Solid. Well made. Not like the cheap junk ones. Sent from Germany. Engine at bottom so not overly heavy. I researched a great deal and this is perfect. Cut a major hedge of 10ft high with ease. Highly recommend this given cost and robust and well built. A voir si le tranchant durera longtemps. Ensuite avec un tel porte a faux, n’esprer pas forcer un peu pour tailler une branche un peu grosse (2cm gros maximum). Le manche va flchir et les partie en alu ventuellement lcher.
Facile a dmonter et a remettre dans sa boite en attendant la saison prochaine.

This is a really well made and cleverly engineered piece of kit. It’s very powerful and designed with the human user in mind to make it as easy to use as is possible I particularly like the fact that you can move the hand grip to anywhere you want it. In terms of quality i think its because its made in Germany that the quality just feels so solidly different and of a higher spec than what we usually experience in the UK Market. A great tool, that’s well made, does what it’s designed to do and feels like it is built to last.

This hedge trimmer is well balanced with the motor at the bottom unlike others and more powerful than i was expecting. A storage bag would be nice but all in all a well made machine at a very good price.
This is a well constructed hedge trimmer which has a powerful 900w motor. The instruction manual is comprehensive and in several languages. The assembly instructions were clear and I had it put together in under 15 minutes- and all without the need for any tools. The only item not listed in the contents was the storage bag quoted on the Amazon website. But the box the trimmer comes in is more than ok to store it all in.
Using the trimmer to prune four large/ thick conifer revealed it to be a very competent garden power tool. It is heavy but as the main weight stays at the user end then overall it balances nicely in use. The adjustable cutting head allowed me to quickly height reduce and then shape the trees.
Overall I recommend you try the trimmer. Yes it’s a considered purchase but at 90 it’s also a bargain.
I have used this already on a tall hedge and it works very well. The three stars is because it is incomplete per the description.
Update, Amazon have resolved the issue with the missing bag.
I’ve used the trimmer on a tall conifer hedge and a medium height beech hedge. It looks like I can cut these without the need for a ladder. Only needed the extension pole for the tall hedge.
The only problem I’ve noted is a burning smell from the motor and sparking when it stops. The motor housing is in the part you hold and despite the smell and sparking the unit doesn’t get hot.
It slices easily through thick branches at least those that fit in the slot between the blades.
You can adjust the angle of the cutter and turn the trigger handle for the best position. Both very easy to do.
A fantastic product. Easy to assemble. The blades cut so cleanly that it produces a wonderful smooth finish to the leylandii.
It didn’t have a sturdy bag for storage but it did come with about 10m of cable and a UK plug. Excellent value and very effective.

it’s a very good hedge trimmer .plenty of power and cuts well .but the mechanism by which the cutting blades are angled needs careful handling .it’s quite easy to bend the pin if accidently put down heavily .also there are 2 springs in the assembly ,again easily disturbed if tangled up in the branches .my advice is buy it …..it works well and is excellent value but take time to see how the angle adjuster works and take your time on the job….it’s that efficient you really don’t have to rush the job

Easy to assemble. Can be used at 2 different lengths. Several angle positions on cutter bar and pole can be twisted. Powerful 900 watt motor cuts maximum quoted size stems with ease.
The Einhell comes in three main parts
1. motor/handle section
2. extension
3. cutter section
The trimmer can be used with or without the extension and the cutter section can be angled to in theory cut the top of the hedge whilst standing on Terra firma…..not if you have a hedge that is on any significant width or if you are like me end up cutting a not very straight edge at the top. My first (and last) attempt ended up like a roller coaster!
One of the problems is the weight of this trimmer and holding it aloft for any period of time with any control. With the motor section down below and the cutter up top it is balanced to an extent but only in comparison to one where the motor is up top. Having the motor down below means the shaft is now more substantial as it now houses the drive mechanism and couplings between the sections. The cutter section is also quite substantial build wise and as a result is quite heavy, but the actual cutting length is small.
Once up the ladder I dispensed with the centre section, making the trimmer more manageable – but still quite awkward to use as you are now trying to balance on top of a ladder! It does though allow you to reach a lot further than with a more normal trimmer (hooray!) Even without the extension holding the trimmer horizontal for any period of time was exhausting. The total weight is only 6kg but imagine a pole with 3kg at one end and then trying to manoeuvre it around for any period of time.
Thankfully I won’t be using this too often and it does allow me to get to the places I couldn’t easily reach.
Does the job very well, quite heavy when using the extension bar, but that’s what i would expect.
Excellent piece of kit, more powerful than many electric hedgecutters, cuts well and making changes in cutting angles easy to master.
Overall weight, length and weight distribution do make it a lot easier to use without the middle extension pole.

I nearly bought a 1000W Bosch, but that was 120 plus 27 for an extension tube, then the sales guy said he might have one of these left in the stock room (selling like hot cakes apparently). I was initially worried it must be lower quality for this price, but no. 900W, well made, incredibly powerful, large cutting head, versatile, a good range of holding options and it comes with a harness which helps ease the load on long jobs.
Can’t fault it. If you are worried about the cable and euro plug thing, I would check around your local garden/ hardware stores as not everything is cheaper online.
In summary, I find this tool efficient and capable of dealing with my high, wide hedges adequately, albeit with the aid of a platform. It has made the job of hedge cutting satisfying and enjoyable rather than the daunting task it used to be.
As yet haven’t needed to use middle extension piece ,as I am easily cutting an 8foot hedge without it .Being 6foot tall,and the unit being approx 6foot plus long,my hedges are now no problem -great not to have to use a step ladder now .
On the down side the unit is a little heavy and takes a little getting used to.But apart from that it’s a very good bit of kit.
Il a t facile a monter,le fait que le moteur se trouve en bas on a un tres bon equilibre de l’engin surtout avec la sangle et la poignee.
Pour la coupe en hauteur il pse un peu a bout de bras car la sangle ne sert plus.
Il coupe tres bien les pousses de l’anne sur des cypres.
Je ne regrette pas cet achat.
