This product is great looks fantastic when the lights are on, very relaxing sounds help to reduce stress and help relax. The remote can be a little temperamental at times and can only be used directly in front of the diffuser. That aside, Highly recommended .

I have another aroma diffuser in my kitchen and wanted one for my living room and was about to give up as most of them looked quite cheap until i saw this one it really looks great and i have had lots of comments it sits perfect on my sideboard and it does look expensive.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersIt’s a really lovely relaxing addition to our home and easy to use. Some reviews have said you can’t turn it on and off with the remote or you can’t just have it on one colour of your choice, but if you read the instructions for the remote you can do both of those things. This is our first diffuser and we love it and can’t with to experiment with different oils. The sounds are lovely and it looks good too.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt’s like having a spa in your living room. The calming music, the faint colours, the warm smell of peppermint – wonderful. The remote control works really well, though it can be a bit difficult to turn it off properly. Would highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThis is a higher end diffuser offered at a price point which reflects that. Cheaper diffusers tend to look and feel rather plasticky, but in contrast the Ellis Gather diffuser has a white ceramic exterior with a light coloured wooden lid. It is something which would not look out of place in a good quality hairdressing salon.

In practice it is easy to operate. You just fill the reservoir with water and add 5-7 drops of oil. The two small phials of oil supplied with the unit will not go too far, but oil is readily and economically available. In operation you can opt for a continuous mist or an intermittent mist and these options will last up to seven hours or fourteen hours respectively. It’s effective and supplies a pleasant, but not overwhelming scent to the environment.

However, this unit is not simply a diffuser. To add to the calming effect of the scent, there is coloured light which shows through the holes in the body. It rotates through primary colours, but again the effect is relaxing as the light is not projected over the nearby ceiling and walls in a sort of disco ball effect, but is restricted to the surface of the diffuser. There is the option to stop on your preferred colour or to turn the light off. There is also a selection of half a dozen sound effects. One of these is the noise of the sea and the others are made by instruments – however, these are subtle background tracks to enhance the calm and mood rather than Beethoven’s Fifth!

We test a number of varying gadgets in our household, some of which are clever but not of long term use. However, both my wife and I like this unit a lot and it’s very pleasant to turn on in the evening when we are looking to chill out after a hard day. It will have a long term place enhancing our home.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI would give this five stars purely for the packaging. It’s just beautiful. So beautifully presented. Once you’ve unfolded the lovely box, you find the gorgeous diffuser and power cable, and two dingy little bottles of oils (an orange one and a peppermint one). It’s extremely easy to set up and use, just add some water, a few drops of your chosen oil, and away you go, it’s as simple as that. The fragrance lasts for either 10 hours continual use, or else you can set it to intermittent and it will last for 20 hours. The two fragrances are lovely. Fresh, revitalising but without being overpowering. I also have found it helps me to breathe easier, after an accident where I broke my nose! All in all, this is definitely worth every penny.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersClearly designed as something of a centrepiece for your coffee table or a position of prominence in a room, this is a substantial and attractive diffuser from Ellia.

The unit itself is a sizeable, white ceramic basket-weave styled pot with a coloured led-light feature that cycles through the colour spectrum or can be set to the colour of your choice; the brightness can also be set, together with a series of 6 music/sound tracks — one of waves breaking, the others rather spacey, new-age loops — quite pleasant initially, though you’ll probably tire of them fairly quickly. The sound can also be adjusted — all the features are customisable and can be controlled by the remote provided – its all laid out in the accompanying manual and there`s a small black on/off switch on the underside of the unit.
The diffuser function itself is fairly straight forward to set and use; fill the water tank, add a few drops of essential oils and replace the inner cover and the wooden lid; there are 2 small sample bottles of scented oils provided as a starter set — I found these difficult to dispense (you have to shake the bottle to get each drop out) but the orange and peppermint oils are of good quality and long-lasting. I also tried the unit with a peach and mandarin oil blend and a cotton scented oil from another company and they were all very effective. The diffuser has two settings for either continuous action or an alternating 30-second release of vapour; this second setting effectively extends the longevity of fragrance to about 20 hours, with the continuous fragrance lasting about half that time.

This is a rather expensive diffuser, but it does its job very effectively; the slow release of scent is soothing and the additional features of the unit itself are pleasant to eye and ear. I like it anyway and am very happy to use it; I have had another diffuser for a couple of years now and really enjoy using them.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a nice quality diffuser that has a few extras that are reflective in the price. Its reasonably large like a small plant pot so its not really a subtle piece but its a nice weave decoration that feels ceramic with a small wooden top. One very good touch is the plugs, they come in normal UK or EU (There is another plug too not sure what that is presumably for Asia?) So you can actually take this abroad if you wish too. It comes with a starter pack of 2 essential oils in orange and peppermint (The mint is quite strong) and the light is ok just a sort of back light and the music is your typical soft music.

In conclusion this is a really nice diffuser with a lot of nice little applications to it, very easy to use and set up and its nicely made so also makes a nice decoration piece. Given 5 stars because yes, its a little costly but the little extras are worth it. Also its very well packaged so would make a lovely gift.

Golden Review Award: 48 From Our UsersThe aroma diffuser comes very well packaged in a strong cardboard box. Run time with continuous mist is given as 10 hours and we achieved well over that; you can double the time by having intermittent mist, 30 seconds on and 30 seconds off. The remote control has a good range, easily across a living room or bedroom. It is a pity that sea sounds are the only natural sound, I would have liked a babbling brook or bird sounds as well.
I’ve tried to show some of the features in the video.
The two supplied samples of fragrance are quite pleasant, the orange is quite subtle but the peppermint is much stronger.
    Overall a quality aroma diffuser.
