I do a lot of making and DIY and operate on the principle of pop up work shops. These trestles fold down small for storage, are very strong, supporting up to 500 kegs I think, handy hooks for using 2×4 inch timbers to support platforms, though also handy for hanging tools. Very useful and good value for money.

I bought this stand to go with a new Evolution sliding mitre saw. It is a stable and well made piece of equipment and I have confidence it will stand up to all the domestic level taks asked of it. The extending arms have been especially useful in managing longer length materials. I’m happy to recommend this product.

Very sturdy making the mitre saw safe, easy attachment of saw onto stand and gives the needed support for the longer work piece.
Exceptionally well made and quickly and easily folds for safe storage, a must have piece of equipment.

For their price, the quality is unbeatable.
They might seem a bit wobbly when you extend the legs, but once they stand they’re sturdy and don’t move.
I am happier with them than with the DeWalt I used to have.

Upper frame flexes easily but sound on a firm base. Nice click fit legs – easy to open and close.
Only downside are the clip on rail mounts, but better to have them than not.
Been happy with evolution tools and expect this will last well.

Absolute bargain during Prime days. Extremely sturdy and just the items to help make a 20×12 shed base , saves having to kneel on the floor to screw joists together as these make it possible to work at waist height.

Normally I like the Evolution brand but these are a bit flimsy and the catches to keep the legs in place don’t work properly all the time so a bit of messing about.

This is a must have for a mitre saw. Easy to use, sturdy an quick to set up. Bought to use with an Evolution Mitre saw and so glad I bought it. Dont waste your time setting your Mitre saw up on a table… this is the tool you need.

Serious bit of kit, its like having Four Arms, holding Four Candles… for forks 🙂

Had a door to refurbish, previously would have had it resting on something but these were brilliant. Very stable but light, even used them as a saw table too with the help of some clamps. Store away nicely when you have finished

Quite wobbly during set up but once placed on the ground, uneven or not, they find their own level it seems. Their flexibility and strength is surprising. I love the side brackets which can be linked with a piece of timber to make a framework for a table. Very useful feature.

They work well. A little flexible but sturdy enough with weight on it. Ideally you need to attach a sacrificial strip of wood on top so that does firm up the press steel housing.

    Great for 40

Ok when unfolded but the top wobbles and twists when the legs are off the ground but when all four are on the ground really good and solid. Really good for the price better than those plastic work stands.

It arrived well packaged in a strong box. The instructions were mostly easy to follow except for removing the four plastic feet from the saw and my saw did not have the removable safety stop on the front angle adjuster. Remove the feet and the saw hit the brackets when on 45 degree either way. As this was an evolution mitre saw I found this odd that they must have altered the specification without due thought. Having sorted the problem the saw now fits the stand and works perfectly. The stand is strong and well made, with legs locking and extendable arms perfect in use. The locking of the mounted saw to the stand is easy and safely done and makes the saw a joy to use . Folded the stand is easy to carry, fits in my car boot and tucks away nicely. Happy to have this excellent product – a joy to use.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSo simple to set up and seem to be very sturdy , I had read that they wobble , not these , very sturdy and certainly not moving .

Love the hook on sides so I can make a table out for larger timber I have to cut this week . This being one of the features that help me decide on these .
Love the design and the sheer compactness when not in use they really can just be on a shelf or in the corner of the shed .
    Weight limit 500 kg !
Can’t wait to use them .. really good buy and the price is just a bargai

Very sturdy, well made and takes miter saw with ease, I’ve used lots of different lengths of timber on this and have not had any trouble getting the result I wanted.

The saw can be used easily without this stand but it takes up space when you are working.
The stand is quick to erect and fold down, is very sturdy and holds the saw beautifully.
With some imagination and a little work you could also use the stand to hold other power tools as well.
A good addition in my opinion.

I can confirm that this Stand fits the Bosch CGM 8 SJM Sliding Mitre Saw. It does it very well and as it looked more sturdy and had a better design than the actual Bosch stand I was going to buy with the saw. I thought I would give the Evolution stand a go. I am really glad I did. The support arms have rollers rather than just supports and this makes it so much easier to slide a long length of wood along the saw table. Five stars.

Simple cheap enough product to help with basic cutting on a mitre saw. I find the rollers are not square to the mitre sitting a few degrees out. My level of accuracy I can get away with for now but on more important projects this might be a deal breaker for some.

Sturdy enough and easy enough to assemble, the main frame is already built all you have to do is fit the saw base to the detachable rails and add the slide outs. Maybe took me 30 mins. My saw had a couple of high spots I needed to file down to sit right on the bolt holes (cheap JCB saw). If your looking for sturdiness it’s worth looking at. If you want high end accuracy maybe not. But this does the job for me.

Unfortunately one of the extensions is damaged on the end so had problems getting the small box section on what holds the roller so only four stars for assembly…

Bought as a present for my husband to go with the saw we also bought him. Hubby loves it he says it’s easy to assemble, right size to put in his shed. It is worth the money as previous ones we have bought have not been so sturdy. Colour also perfect. All in all worth the purchase.

Unused as of yet , but I bought a great evolution saw and just had to have this to complement it. They’re not Bosch, Dewalt etc quality but they’re a fraction of their price and I’ve actually seen them being used by professionals. Excellent for DIY projects, but be extra careful as you can pretty well cause serious injuries if you’re not concentrating 100% of the time!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFor the price it’s good value for money. It’s a pity they didn’t finish the job properly. Let’s start with the good points though.

I got this to use with an Evolution sliding mitre saw but this device is universal. You get the locking handles that fit on the frame and these have to be attached to the saw. Strangely enough, the connections don’t include the best option for my Evolution saw. There’s a good video review online showing how best to attach the saw. This is by dropping bolts into the hex holes and tightening the nuts from below. It means only one tool needed to do it and the saw plate is flush. I ended up have to use the supplied coach bolts and wing nuts. I contacted Evolution, and was amazed they weren’t aware of their omission – bizarre stuff.

If you are using a chop saw or mitre saw it is essential to have it secure for all sorts of obvious reasons. Don’t be tempted to make do with some mickey mouse arrangement that you cobble together.

The weak point of this device is the extension arm assembly. Flabby arrangement that doesn’t really do the job if you are using heavy pieces of wood. I was working with some 4.8 m long planks 175×50. I knew I’d need some extra support but the arms didn’t really do a lot. The screws don’t really resist such weight. However, the saw is secure and that’s the main thing.

It’s a bit fiddly to take down/erect if you hold it with the legs down. Turning it over makes life a lot easier.

In spite of the instructions consisting of tiny uninformative pictures, the unit is fairly easy to assemble using no more than common sense. Assembled it feels very sturdy. I haven’t mounted the saw yet but as iy is also Evolution I do not anticipate any problem. Overall a decent buy.

I am a keen diy-er and have used mitre saws without a stand for years. All it gave me was back pain! I have just finished building a garden room and bought a new mitre saw and this stand. It had been a brilliant purchase. It is easy to store due to how it folds and the extending arms ensure that you get a great finish.

If you are in the market for a stand, I would highly recommend this one.

Good solid stand that is easy to store away when not in use. Easy fixing points so other tools could probably attached if desired. Only used with an Evolution saw so can’t comment on how universal it is.

This stand is a very strong and stable support for use at any location.
It folds down to a manageable size to transport from different locations, albeit a trifle heavy for me at my age.
It is quick and easy to assemble, and feels really stable.
A good addition to any woodworking equipment!

I think most others have covered the important stuff. The legs are very strong and fold and unfold very easily. The brackets that secure the mitre saw to the rails is a proven system, and works just fine.
Downsides? Definitely the rollers, their fixing brackets and (and for me) the plastic topped locking screws look and feel a bit cheap and nasty. I have no doubt the plastic will fatigue quickly after repeated use. I am sure I can cobble together something a bit stronger. That’s about it.
I am just an intermittent diy type, and I have the stand coupled to an Evolution mitre saw. It’s easily good enough for my requirements.
No, the stand doesn’t trouble De Walt or Makita offerings, but at less than half the price, that’s hardly a surprise.
For a diy person, it’s plenty good and strong enough, but for a tradesperson where time is money, I fully understand why the big name offerings would be a logical choice.

There are similar more expensive products, that I’ve actually used on site, although I’ve not tried all of the other brands. This strikes me as very good value for money compared to others. Fairly light although sturdy, simple design. Also as easy to set up as the more expensive brands if not easier. Good working height for me, I’m about 6ft (no adjustment for height on the legs), rubber feet on the bottom of the legs to protect those finished floors. Compares well to the others, the best thing is the price, would recommend.

Instructions a bit small however common sense allowed relatively easy assembly except the unit had been damaged which made it impossible to get the support bracket on the extending arm. Easily fixed but a bit annoying you had to though!

Very easy to setup approx 10 mins. No tools required.
Once up it is a very solid frame with no movement at all on the flat surface its also light weight but not so light that it feels cheap as this does not feel cheap in any way. I would say that it is great value for anyone looking for a chop saw stand it fitted my saw perfectly and the quick release frame handles are super idea.

I actually bought this for my evolution compound mitre saw and fits very well . The screws they supply are pretty useless for my saw but I had appropriate nuts and bolts to make a good job of fixing saw to table .
its very easy to assemble easy to put up ,everything just locks into place, and very sturdy .

A mostly great stand, I’ve seen other reviews that complain about the height, I’m 6ft 5 and it is a touch low but unless you’re standing working at it all day then its really no issue. The one downside is the support rollers tighten down on the wonk.

It’s a sturdy piece of kit when it’s on a flat surface. It’s adjustable but basic. The rollers supports are not horizontally parallel with each other and have no adjusment to rectify this. It is not lightweight.

  58. Anonymous says:

     United Kingdom

Turned out to be easily assembled. I bought the mitre saw & table from different suppliers. The table was easy to unfold & fold and surprisingly lightweight for it’s sturdy, solid design. I’m not one for reading instructions, assuming that most assemblies are obvious. What’s the worst that can happen? Well it turns out that the worst thing you can do is get the fixing bolts the wrong way up on the bars that fit the saw to the table. I should have paid more attention to the picture on the box! This took me an extra 5-10 minutes to turn them round. It would have been nice to have a dust bag included in the price but still good value for money. I just hope my wood butchery can do it justice.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersUPD: Customer support sent me the replacement detail, so changing from 3 to 5 stars.

The stand came with a defective work support bracket. It has two holes, both of which are supposed to have a thread for the lock screws. Mine has a thread on one hole only. In addition to that, it supposed to have two metal plates behind each hole inside the bracket, which are pressed against the supports by the locking screws (I know because the second bracket is ok, so I know how it should look like). This detail doesn’t have it (both of them). And they haven’t broke off, they haven’t been welded at all by the look of it.

Apart from this, the stand is very sturdy and easy to assemble, so if it wasn’t defective I would give 5 stars.
