Only used once since purchasing, folds easily away for storage, did find one of the extended arm to be a bit stiff when tightening but will look into that again soon. Made my life so much easier when using the mitre saw. Well worth the money !

I bought an evolution mitre saw and this stand to go with it. The stand is solid and perfect height it also folds up nicely and easily folded back down for transporting.
Once the supplied fixings for your mitre saw are attached to your saw attaching your saw to the stand is easy, just a case of hooking onto the stand and pushing 2 locking levers down and the saw is securely attached.

Instructions are reasonably clear and with a little thought I was able to assemble this easily. It is lightweight enough that I can carry it one handed (I’m 67 and not especially strong), but feels sturdy when placed on hard level ground and has been steady whilst cutting up large logs. Legs fold away to a reasonable compact size for storage in the garage. Excellent value at the price.

Very sturdily built – impressive, excellent for mounting your mitre saw. The rollers on the pullout extension arms tend not to be fully horizontal to the work due to way that they are clamped in place but that didn’t really negatively affect use of the stand. Folds down to a compact size for storage. I thought this stand was very good value for money.

    Sturdy and great value.

Bought this to support my Evolution Fury mitre saw and make it more portable as it normally sits on a bench in my garage. Very happy with the quality and it feels really sturdy even with long lengths of timber supported by the adjustable outrigger arms and rollers, these double as end stops for multiple cutting. It’s so easy to initially assemble with the instructions and once you’ve attached the clamps to the saw base, just clips onto the bars and clamps hold it firmly. This is a quality product which just folds up by pressing the locking buttons on each leg and rotate them inwards for storage. Would recommend.

It is good, sturdy frame for the mitresaw.
However, it is somewhat lacking a bit.
Not sure, somewhat to short extentions, and simply put it is missing this precise engineering on the extenders.

    But good and useful nonetheless

I have had a few Evolution products and I found them all decent value for money. I also found their customer services very helpful when I have contacted them. This bench is not an exception. Very sturdy and easy to put up or collapse. Fairly heavy due to the sturdiness but not overly so. The only area where things could be made easier is the fixing system for your Chop or Mitre saw. Its not awful but I found it fiddly. If you are looking for a competent bench at a reasonable price there is very little better around.

Long lengths of wood are a nightmare to control when using a Mitre Saw. Piling boxes or the like to support the wood was time consuming and inefficient. Cutting multiple lengths to the same length was equally difficult. This device is incredible, it’s portable, easy to unfold and solidly sits where it is placed. It has extension bars to support long lengths of timber and stops to set repeat same length cuts and it tucks away in quite a compact bundle when not in use. I really would not be without this tool, it’s made my chop saw so much easier to use.

Why didn’t I buy this years ago?! Excellent stand, simple to assemble, very sturdy & has been a godsend on several fencing and decking jobs. Not only great at the job site but also at home outside the workshop with less mess to clean up inside. Fits not only my evolution saw but also a cheap mitre saw I have. The fixing system is so versatile it’ll probably fit any saw. Fully recommend.

I finally took the plunge after years of using my mitre saw on the ground. Glad I did! I’ve attached my 18v Ryobi sliding mitre saw to it and it makes life so much easier. Unboxing and Set up took 5min. Make sure you attach the rollers the correct way around and the knobs to the outside/bottom otherwise they’ll get in the way when you fold it up. This EVOLUTION stand was purchased to support my Makita LS1018L Mitre Saw and to date has provided a good lower cost solution when compared to the proprietary Makita DEAWST06 stand, without any real concerns apart from 2 minor points:
    1) Fitting the holding down bolts / wing nuts between the mitre saw and stand proved time consuming, but once in place they were fine. Now fixed in place I’ve no reason to remove the bolting.
    2) One of the roller supports suddenly dropped down during use, albeit the support was firmly fixed in place. The roller support was removed from the stand, the fixing screw lubricated and then replaced and tightened up. It now appears to be fine; maybe a teething problem.

Easy to set up and use and seems like a good but of kit for the price. If you want to get top quality kit you will pay a lot more for brands like Metabo. For general DIY use, I think this is great – so much easier than kneeling on the floor to make cuts. Delivery was very quick

I’m using it with the Ryobi EMS254L mitre saw. It’s compatible with no issues at all. It’s straightforward to assemble and the collapsible legs are easy to use. It is still quite big however. Also It’s quite heavy. That adds to its sturdiness so it’s not a negative in my opinion but I thought I’d mention it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have been using this saw stand since May along with the Evolution Power Tools R255SMS+ and have found it an excellent addition to the workshop.
Easy to assemble and sturdy when put together.
As a lanky woodworker I did find the stand a little low for my own personal preference but that was solved by making some additional ply wood boxes to bring the height up to my preference, perhaps telescopic legs may be a future consideration to these type of stands.
All in all a great piece of kit for the workshop.

Ordered along with an Evolution mitre saw. The bench is perfect – great working height (and I am tall), and so well made. When we had kitchen fitters in recently they admired both the saw and the bench, and even wanted to buy it off me, having used it rather than their own kit.

An excellent addition to my tool kit. Perfect for my requirements. I’ve had my JCB dropsaw for a couple of years now and it fits fine. My 1st job was to cut some bed slats down to size and it supported them fine. Cutting 4 at at time, the rollers are really handy. I would definitely recommend this

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersWhen I first received and unpacked my product, I found some damage on the tubular frame. Clearly the quality control did not do their best to make sure that the product met with an acceptable standard. However, I contacted Amazon and the product was returned and replace within a few days.

On the whole I have found this mitre saw stand to be a brilliant bit of kit. It is well made, very sturdy and came with all the fittings needed to install my Chop Saw.

The extending arms are a real bonus as they steady the long beams when cutting. There is no rocking motion or instability from this stand and it is clearly well made in Britain. I would highly recommend this product. The price is well worth it when compared to some of the others I saw for sale. If you’re thinking of getting a Mitre Saw Stand, get this one and save yourself the money to put towards some good tools to match.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI recently purchased the Evolution Rage sliding mitre saw (very impressed) and decided to get the stand to go with it after seeing it demonstrated on a YouTube video. It improves the usability of the saw hugely.it provides a really stable base with extetion arms that make working with longer pieces of material a breeze. It’s easy to set up and the quick release for removing the saw works very well. The folding legs are really easy to operate and make storage easier. Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI purchased this stand together with Rage 3+S Mitre Saw and so pleased I did. Expect a nice sturdy piece of kit which simply transforms the whole setup – I can’t imagine using the saw anywhere near as well without it. Whilst setting up the stand, I did run into a slight problem – there was a machine fault with one of the support brackets (screw thread) but a quick call to Evolution Tech Team and a new part was posted immediately.

  78. Anonymous says:

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI initially bought the saw but quickly found myself needing a more ‘permanent’ location but at the same time needing it to be mobile – so I’ve added a trolley with locking wheels which have made this the most used and most useful tool in the workshop. And it’s a great piece of kit, particularly with the adjustable wood support arms. Can’t fault this item (or indeed the Evolution Saw).

  79. Anonymous says:

     United Kingdom

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBrilliant piece of kit, the only tiny thing it does, the end supports sometimes fall when moving a large piece of wood into the saw but I can see that as a sort of safety feature to stop it toppling the stand, which would be difficult as it is very stable. I am thinking of buying a spare set of clamps for another tool (they are available from Evolution). Getting my saw on and off is a dream, one click, lock the handles, done. I might even get a spare set of clamps and make a bench.

  80. Doug says:

While I just received this stand, and can’t vouch for how it will age, this mitre saw stand seems to delivery good value for money.

Finish is not perfect (the thread of one of the work support brackets required a lot of force to be used initially and still does, but to a lesser extent), and tolerances for some of the assemblies and welding are fairly poor, but the resulting product is very stable and sturdy. It is also fairly easy to use

For the price it is hard to complain (and there is a 3 year warranty should this wear out faster than it should), and I’m not sure how other brands can justify sometimes much higher prices for the same functionality

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a very neat and well designed and made saw stand with extension arms. Putting it together is intuitive and very straightforward. The sliding bevel saw I fixed to it sits nicely and the whole provides a solid and steady support, making this a good work station. The legs fold in making this a portable piece of equipment, if quite heavy should you want to move it around, making it good for the workshop and good on site. Excellent product.

Why have I never ordered something like this before!?! Quick, minimal assembly out of the box – instructions weren’t needed. A strong, sturdy powder coated frame. My old, non-branded, old faithful chop-saw fitted the stand’s quick release mounting brackets without fuss. I was set-up ready to go within 5 minutes of starting to open the packaging!

I’ve just started to build a LARGE shed from raw material timber. This stand easily supports 4.8m lengths of 4×2 & 3×2. It would easily handle “plank” format timber too. The rollers on either end help to easily align and process the timber for cutting.

Quite simply one of the best DIY buys I’ve ever bought. Get one!

  83. LorenCBRIkgflzs says:

Robust stand that doesn’t wobble or move under load. The extending end rollers adjust for height, but their clamps tend to settle with the rollers not level. They can be set correctly, but have to be held in place while tightening their locking screws. Good value, even so. Note that smaller Evolution saws don’t fit without having to make a ply platform with holes in the correct places.

  84. Anonymous says:

Really great addition to my tool arsenal and especially my Evolution chop saw, I always used to get down on my hands and knees to chop wood, now my chop saw sits on this stand it’s just so much easier and quicker to do everything. I don’t believe you need an Evolution chop saw to use this as i think it’s a universal fit.

Be aware it is quite heavy so if you’re a bit on the feeble side you’ll need someone to set it up for you.

The guides make chopping long lengths of wood a breeze no more struggling for me!

I can’t see any down sides to this at all so it’s 5 stars all the way!

Great value for what it is. Big solid and sturdy. Goes nice and wide for big pieces. My 8″ Bosch mitre saw doesn’t fit very well, though, which is probably more of a fault of it than the stand. So if you have an Evolution mitre saw you’re probably good to go; will be fine for other saws if they either fit or you’re prepared to make some brackets.

Ever since buying the evolution power saw I wanted a proper mitre table, after some research I decided to buy the mitre table, the pictures make the table look flimsy and not up to much. How wrong was I!. The Evolution mitre saw table is robust and strong and makes cutting wood a much easier task to undertake. The instructions booklet is quite good though you might need a microscope to see the detailed pictures which are barely bigger than a postage stamp, I couldn’t but being very good at DIY and playing with power tools for years it takes a couple of minutes to put together. I would definitely recommend getting this table for your saw it is an investment, no more cutting on the floor or on a wobbly work table.

Superb sturdy quality piece of kit – great value for money, from a British Company and an essential addition to the superb Evolution Rage 255mm Double Bevel sliding mitre saw. I had toyed with buying the cheaper model saw without the double bevel (DB) and just using it on a bench but I’m glad I went for the DB model saw and bought the stand as well; spending the extra means you get a saw that can accurately do it all, even cutting long pieces without having the chore of packing the ends up to get them level, it makes the saw a joy to use. Even with the extra spend its cheaper than equivalent rivals. Highly Recommended!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGood stand, fits my Mitre saw perfectly. It is also light enough and folds up small enough to fit in my van.
The only issue i had was that the stand that they sent me was clearly a stand that someone else had returned. When i began to put it together some of the parts were already in place. No wonder i could not figure out where particular screws and bolts went because they were already fitted in place..I ended up with 4 spare parts which in my opinion is a billy bonus.
It didn`t really bother me that this particular stand had been returned by someone else. However,if your expecting a brand new stand you might ultimately be disappointing when a returned one turns up. You have been warned!

The Evolution Mitre Saw Stand is very robust and sufficient heavy. There is no motion in the stand when using it. Also the two extensions make it very usefull and are easy in use. The stand comes as a package and it is quit simple to assemble. I ordered the stand from the Netherlands and the package arrived in three working days and last but not least the price is good too. So, I am very content.

This is a really good buy very quick and easy to use and put up . If you can hang out till you receive it in stead of going to your local DIY store then do it because this was a lot cheaper than what they was asking

Ok, only had this stand for a day, but so far absolutely brilliant. It’s a well thought out design and seems extremely robust. Purchased it for my Makita compound saw (Half the price of the Makita version BTW), but the quick release saw mounting brackets would be suitable for mounting other tools (I have a small table top lathe that this will be ideal for) or even a temporary work surface.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Usershis is the one of the must have not only for DIY. The Evolution Mitre Saw Stand is strong and powerfull in its usabillity. Its not lightweight, but this is an advantage.
The unfolding is easy as the folding. I did it on my knees in the squat. Unfolding every leg, turn the mitre stand during stand up. Try it …it works.
This way got it always on the leg. Stowing ..vise versa. All in seconds.
i fully recommend this Evolution Mitre Saw Stand.
Btw: use it with Metabo 216 mitre saw.

This stand is a beast, strong and robust, no chance of this failing in my lifetime, it just exudes quality, in fact I threw away the packaging I am that confident. I had to contact the manufacturer in Sheffield about a set up problem. I spoke to a knowledgeable techie who answered the phone after two rings. He talked me through removing a ‘block’ from the saw to facilitate 45 degree cutting using the stand. Very impressed with the support from Evolution, an example to other manufacturers.

This Evolution mitre saw stand is a really substantial piece of equipment, heavy and rock solid too. Far beyond my expectations. I had a problem with an burred extension locking screw, and the part it fitted to. I emailed Evolution, had a reply virtually straight away. Confirmed proof of purchase, and the replacement
parts were despatched by return. Fantastic customer service. Others take note!!! Yes, would certainly recommend Evolution.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAnother 5 stars for this mitre saw stand. With similar stands retailing for slightly more I thought it might be a little less sturdy, but I was pleasantly surprised how heavy and steady it is.
The legs are easily folded up and the carriage assembly that you bolt the saw to is easy to locate on the solid tubes of the stand. Cam action clamps make tightening the saw onto the stand very easy and there is no movement at all (very easy to adjust the clamp tension if it’s not spot-on from the box). This is a heavy stand and a bit of a beast, but that’s good in my opinion as it means there is little chance if it shifting around as wood is moved around on the saw base.
If I had any criticism at all, and this is being VERY picky, the roller arms needed the side supports bending slightly inwards to make the rollers perfectly horizontal and one of my leg locking pins was stiff to engage in both holes for locking up & locking down- 10 secs with a small file easily sorted this problem though. All in all, a solid staand that I would highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 33 From Our UsersRobust and solid construction providing a very stable base for my “chop” saw (mitre saw). Looking at the materials used and its construction, I expect this stand to outlast me! The only items that might not last too well are the 6 tightening knobs for the extender arms, which have plastic heads and don’t feel that tough – time will tell.

Good working height (not variable – unless you saw the legs down!) with extension supports on both sides makes cutting a joy. Although quite heavy, it does collapse to a relatively small size for carting around to where you want to do the work or for storing.

It was easy to quickly fit my MacAllister (B&Q) 1400W sliding mitre saw, which I’ve had for about 4 years – should have bought the stand much sooner. Although (bizarrely) the mounting holes on my saw base are not parallel, they fitted easily on the mounts and the mounts then fitted solidly onto the bench, even though they were not quite parallel (approx 10mm off). The mounts use a simple screw adjustment to set the correct lock-down compression, which is well explained in the manual. Talking of which, the manual does a good job of explaining everything. Not that much explanation is required as, apart from fixing your saw to the mounts and the rollers to the extensions, there is nothing else to do – 10 minutes and you are up and running.

The extensions on either side provide additional support for longer pieces of wood. They are strong enough to hold the weight of heavy timber, but as they are offset from the centreline, they do allow the rollers to twist round a little. This means the two rollers are never exactly on the same plane as the mitre saw. As the rollers are only intended to support the weight of overhanging timber, their height can be adjusted to best support different sizes of timber.

At 66 this stand represents good value for money.

I was considering the Charnwood W215, but it was bigger (bed is about 0.5m longer) and would take up even more space in my limited area. It is also much more expensive. Looking at photos of the Charnwood and some others, the design, construction and materials look to be the same (it wouldn’t surprise me to find they are made in the same Chinese factory). I suspect a lot of the offerings from different companies are simply “badge” engineered for them with minor changes such as the length of the bed and the paint colour scheme.

I have another item I’d like to fit to the stand, but extra mounting brackets are prohibitively expensive at 30+.

    Good solid basic stand.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersSolid, well built and the perfect accessory for any mitre saw. Easy to mount and remove the saw, takes seconds. Easy to set up and rock solid in use. The side extensions are great, not long enough for very job but a fantastic helping hand most of the time.

In all, delighted I got this. I would recommend it for any brand of mitre saw.

I’m a DIY user, not in the trade. I mount a 110v evolution rage 3 254mm saw on it, but it could wearily take any saw.

It is really well built and I would imagine would stand up to daily use without any difficulty.

This is a great stand, it folds up in a jiffy, and takes little space up in the van. the support for the Saw is very steady allowing one person to assemble the stand and mount the saw. The extending adjustable support arms are brilliant for supporting those long lengths.

My Rage-3 mounted easy, but this stand is made to fit a number of different sliding Mitre Saws, as the two quick release mounts are easily adaptable for different distances, all mounting bolts were supplied.

Golden Review Award: 27 From Our UsersI bought this to accompany my purchase of an Evolution Rage 3 saw.

I’m quite honestly staggered at the quality! The instructions provided were exceptionally good – From unboxing to fully set up with the saw mounted securely in less than ten minutes. The working height seems to be spot on, and the extending supports are “rollers” which will make handling long pieces a doddle. Most impressive of all though is the stability… Absolutely rock solid!

I can’t see any negatives as yet…. The stand will certainly help me to use the saw for projects all over the house.

Amazon were at least 30 cheaper than all the other sites I checked too…. Perfect!
